Sara Jane (Bartlett) Rief age 76 of Albany, Ga. passed away Thursday February 2, 2012 at Emory Hospital Atlanta, Ga following a brief illness. Her funeral service will be held at 10 AM, Monday, February 6, 2012 at St. Teresa's Catholic Church. The Rev. Finbarr Stanton will officiate. Mrs. Rief will be cremated and her cremated remains will be buried on Tuesday 10 AM at Crown Hill Cemetery.
Judy Allen Gleaton - February 1, 2012
Mrs. Judy Allen Gleaton, 4910 Hill Rd, died Wednesday February 1, 2012 at her residence. Her memorial service will be Sunday 1:30 PM at Kimbrell-Stern with visitation to follow. A native of Rockingham, NC, Mrs. Gleaton had worked at Black Beards and was a life member of the independent Harley Riders association (IHRA) . She was preceded in death by her husband Cordy Floyd Gleaton.

Mrs. Caroline Ruby Flack Hamburg, 82, of Nottingham Way in Albany died January 31, 2012 at Wynfield Park Nursing Center. Funeral services will be Friday 11:30 AM at Northgate Presbyterian Church. Rev. Richard Smith officiating. iIntermentwill follow in Floral Memory Gardens. A native of Lyman, Nebraska Mrs. Hamburg has lived in Albany for 45 years, where she was a charter member and very active of Northgate Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Ginger Watson, 61, of Leesburg died Monday Jan 30, 2012 at The Willson Hospice House. A graveside funeral service will be held Thursday 11:30AM at Leesburg Cemetery. Rev. Born in Albany, Mrs. Watson lived in Leesburg most of her life where she was a Seamstress and a member of Thundering Springs Baptist Church.

Mrs. Elizabeth Kearse McNeely passed away on Saturday January 28, 2012 at Lillian Carter Nursing Care in Plains, GA. Her funeral service will be Tuesday 11 AM at Leesburg cemetery with the Rev. Steve Hurley officiating. Born on June 11, 1918 in Cedar Key, FL, Elizabeth grew up in Plains and Leesburg but resided in Albany for 50 years. During World War II, she lived in Macon and worked at the US Army Base as a stenographer.

Rasberry and daughter of S.T. and Minnie Hunter, all of Martin, LA. She was the mother of three children: Christa Straub (Tom) of Auburn, AL, the late Michael Rasberry (Debbie) of Lake Charles, LA, and Sharon Hughey (Bill) of Albany, GA. She was the grandmother of four grandchildren.

Nellie Ruth Allen Ellis, 84, of Albany went home to be with her Lord on Wednesday, July 1, 2009. Funeral services honoring her life will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., (TODAY) July 3, 2009 in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home with interment to follow at Union Baptist Church cemetery in Doerun. Rev. Lester Allen and Pastor Robin Chaplin will officiate. Nellie Ruth Allen Ellis was born on January 2, 1925 in Crisp County, GA. She was the widow of the late Melvin Allen and Milton Ellis. She was a Charter member of Bible Baptist Church having been a member for over 44 years and was a faithful prayer warrior. She was always the first to give the Lord Praise when given the opportunity to testify in church. She enjoyed working in her yards, fishing and loved spending time with her family. Survivors include her four sons, Melvin Dwain Allen and his wife, Pat of Albany, Travis Ray Allen and his wife, Sally of Lee County, Royce Allen and his wife, Sue of Albany and Terry Allen and his wife, Carol of Albany; Grandchildren, Rebecca Allen, Waymond Allen and his wife, Kim, Melissa Carroll and her husband, Samuel, Travis Allen, Jr. and his wife, Becky, Tammy Holmes and her husband, Jerry, Sylvia Wilkerson and her husband, Terry, Jennie Snow and her husband, Steve, Carla Rey and her husband, Brett, Chuck Allen, Kevin Allen, Holly Gurr and her husband, Chris, Traci Hagadone and her husband, Travis; 22 great-grandchildren; special friend, Sharon Warren; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends. Thomas Edward Griffith, 49, of Albany passed away Sunday, July 5, 2009 at his home while surrounded by his family. Funeral services honoring the life of Mr. Griffith will be conducted Wednesday, July 8, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Rev. Ron Baxley will officiate with interment will follow in the Mt. Enon cemetery in Baconton. Thomas Edward Griffith was born November 25, 1959 in Leesburg, FL. to Kenneth Griffith and Sandra Honaker Griffith. He was employed with Albany Water, Gas and Lights for close to thirty years, enjoyed hunting, fishing and loved being with his family. Survivors include his two sons, Zachary Griffith and his wife, Shenna and Jeremy Griffith all of Sylvester; his father and mother, Kenneth and Sandra Honaker Griffith of Albany; brother, Michael Griffith of Albany and sister, Beverly Gordon and her husband, John of Leesburg. Visitation will be Tuesday July 7, 2009 from 7:00 until 9:00 p.m. at Hall and Hall Funeral Home.
