Elizabeth “Jackie” Lawrence, 89, of Woodbury, died Monday, Aug. 15, 2005, at Molena Nursing Home. Services were held Wednesday, Aug. 17, at Smith-Steele-Meadows Funeral Home in Woodbury. Burial was in Woodbury City Cemetery. Revs. Bill Lawrence and Ellis Freeman officiated. Memorials may be made to Woodbury United Methodist Church.

Dr. Blair Joseph Smith
Dr. Blair Joseph Smith, 75, of Zebulon died Sunday, Aug. 21, 2005, at his residence after a long illness. Services will be held at 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 26, at Moody Funeral Home in Zebulon. Dr. Steve Stewart will officiate. Visitation will be from 5-6 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Oak Hill Baptist Church building fund, P.O. Box 91, Griffin, 30224.

James “Jim” Edward Wing
James “Jim” Edward Wing, 68, of Zebulon died Monday, Aug. 15, 2005, at Upson Health and Rehab in Thomaston after an extended illness. No services are planned; Mr. Wing was cremated. Moody Funeral Home in Zebulon had charge of arrangements.

Marjorie Barrett Butler
Marjorie Barrett Butler, 89, of Barnesville, died Friday, Feb. 10, 2006 in a Griffin healthcare facility. Services were held Sunday, Feb. 12 in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Barnesville. Rev. Hubert Flanagan officiated. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to the First United Methodist Church in Griffin.

Kenneth Duane Chase, 59, of Barnesville died Monday, Feb. 6, 2006, at Upson Regional Medical Center in Thomaston. Services were held Thursday, Feb. 9, at Moody Funeral Home in Zebulon. Revs. Jimmy Hammett and Terry Ison officiated. Burial was in Lamar Memory Gardens in Barnesville.

Mattie Lucy Elliott, 101, of Molena died Saturday, June 10, 2006, at Molena Nursing Home. Services were held Tuesday, June 13, at Ebenezer United Methodist Church Cemetery in Lamar County. Rev.
