Born October 8, 1923 in High Shoals, Walton County, Georgia to the late Timothy Edgar Scott and Frances Elizabeth Lord Scott, he resided in Walton County until the beginning of his Army career in 1943 after his graduation from Monroe High School.

William Randolph Liles
William Randolph Liles, born May 30, 1922 in Pierce County, Georgia, departed this life on November 15, 2005. After a distinguished military career in World War II, Korea, and Vietnam, Mr. Liles retired to Monroe, where he was a plant manager for fifteen years at TomCo. He was a member of the American Legion Post 64 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4421 and a charter member of Nathan Bedford Forrest Greys Camp 1656 Sons of Confederate Veterans.
