Services for Richard Harold Dugger of Boston are at 3 p.m., Sunday, May 25, 2003 at Boston Baptist Church where he was a member. The Rev. Tim Phillips will officiate and interment is in Roselawn Cemetery in Barwick. Active pallbearers are Tyrone Hopper, Fred Bass, Lavone Shiver, Mark Saunders, Joshua Herring and Maxey Little. Mr. Dugger died Thursday, May 22 at Archbold Memorial Hospital from injuries received from an automobile accident. He was born in Barwick on June 4, 1946. He was the son of the late Daniel and Louise Dugger. He will be missed by family and friends. His disability did not keep him from helping others because that's what he liked to do most. Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Luke Keadle of Thomasville; a sister-in-law, Donna Wilson of Sesser, Ill.; nieces, Linda and Mark Yates of Sesser Ill.; Karla and H.L. Sherrod of Boston; Kathy and Jeff Lancaster of Thomasville; and a nephew, Michael and Diana Dugger of Sesser, Ill.; and several great nieces and nephews. Born Dec. 4, 1944 in Vero Beach, Fla., he was a son of William Adrian Bailey and Oma Jean Thorpe Bailey. He was married to Pearl Condrey Bailey of Adel. He was of the Baptist faith, a truck driver and served in the U.S. Army as paratrooper in Vietnam. He lived in Adel for the past 21 1/2 years. Born in Cordele on Jan. 10, 1910, she was the daughter of Edwin Fort Cox and Janie Nipper Cox, who preceded her in death. She worked at Thomasville Laundry and was a housemother at Vashti School. Mrs. Dugger was also a resident of Ruskin, Fla. for many years. Survivors include son, Earl W. Ronnie E. Horn
Funeral services for Ronnie E. Horn, of Boston, are at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, 2003 at the Boston Church of God. The Rev. James Lott and the Rev. Teddy Ray Hunt will officiate. Interment is in the Boston Cemetery. Pallbearers are Kyle Horn, Gary Weddle, Ricky Gipson, Steve Parrish, Kevin Dean, Cecil Jones and Jimmy Graham. Mr. Horn died on October 11 in Thomasville. Born on January 5, 1945 in Enterprise, Ala., he was the son of H. L. and Merle Walden Horn. On June 17, 1966 he married Sharon Weddle Horn, who survives. He was a manager for Merrily Plantation. Mr. Horn was a member for 30 years of the Boston Church of God and a volunteer fireman. He was a devoted son, husband, father, grandfather, brother and a friend to many. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He was also a carpenter by trade for the last 35 years. Other survivors include his mother, Merle Walden Horn; daughters and sons-in-law Jodie and John Wheeler of Boston, Leslie and Chris Waters of Ochlocknee, and Marly and Donny Jones of Japan; four grandchildren, Mitchell and Macie Wheeler, Cyndel Waters and Donny Jones; a brother and sister-in-law, John (Red) and Barbara Horn of Hartford, Ala.; two sisters Nina Sutton and Nancy Morton, both of Milton, Fla.; and several nieces and nephews.
