JEFFERSON - Timothy Lee Parker, 28, died Monday, October 9, 2000, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Mr. Parker had lived in Jefferson for the past two years. He was a carpenter with Goza Fence Company and was a member of Arcade Community Church.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, October 12, at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel, Buford, with the Rev. Palmer Pace officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Buford.
Survivors include mother and step-father, Charlene and Larry Dollar, Suwanee; father and step-mother, Richard and Anita Parker, Buford; three sons, Timothy Parker, Mikey Parker and Matthew Parker, all of Snellville; step-son, Isaiah Fowler, Jefferson; fiancé, Christy Fowler, Jefferson; four sisters, Crystal Parker, Lawrenceville, Tanya Parker and Rachel Somer, both of Suwanee, and Brittany Parker, Gainesville; and one brother, Tyler Parker, Buford.
The family was to have received friends from 2 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

MRS. REED
Retired seamstress
DACULA - Mrs. Loyce Davis Reed, 75, died Monday, October 2, 2000.
Mrs. Reed was a native of Hall County. She was a retired seamstress from Fawn Togs in Braselton and was a member of Sardis United Methodist Church, Buford. Mrs. Reed was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Reed.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, October 4, in the chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, with the Rev. Gaylon Beard officiating. Burial was in the Sardis United Methodist Church cemetery.
Survivors include a son, Timothy Reed, Buford; sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Sara Reed, Buford, Wesley and Sarah Reed, Stoneville, N.C., David and Debra Reed, Suwanee, and Lonnie and Rita Reed, Jefferson; daughter, Sheila Maddox, Winder; daughters and sons-in-law, Sue and Jack Farr, Buford, and Sandra and Tommy Thompson, Dacula; sister, Cammie Duncan, Buford; sister and brother-in-law, Blanche and C.V. Duncan, Buford; sisters-in-law, Nellie Davis, Rome, and Ruby Strickland, Gainesville; 20 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Flanigan Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

REV. NORMAN
New Grove Baptist Church member
GAINESVILLE - The Rev. Ervin Norman Sr. died Wednesday, October 4, 2000.
Mr. Norman was born September 1, 1919, in Lincoln County. He was a son of the late Nelson and Rosella Norman.
At an early age, Mr. Norman joined Fortson Grove Baptist Church in Elberton. He served faithfully until he moved his membership to New Grove Baptist Church in Jackson County.
Mr. Norman was later called into the ministry, licensed on August 30, 1963, and ordained on May 17, 1964. The Rev. Norman pastored several churches, including Fortson Grove Baptist and Dove Creek Baptist, Elberton, Greater Timberidge Baptist, Gainesville, Sanders Grove Baptist, Hartwell, Pole Branch Baptist, Tignall, Cherry Grove Baptist, Washington, New Tabernacle Baptist, Lincolnton, and Rocky Branch Baptist, Oglethorpe County.
He was also a member of the Gospel Bell Quartet of Elberton.
Mr. Norman was married to the late Jessie Mae Willis on November 20, 1938. He and his wife had 10 children, two of which preceded him in death, Willie E. Norman and Everleaner Norman.
Services were held Sunday, October 8, at New Salem Baptist Church with the Rev. Hazel Quarles officiating, and his son, the Rev. Larry O. Norman, delivering the eulogy.
Randy Banks, Ronnie Hester, Norris Ratliff, Tim Mize, Brian Norman, Jemaine Butler, Freddie Hopkins and Jerry Jackson served as casket bearers. Flower attendants were Annese Norman, Angelica Norman, Janice Jackson, Beverly Norman, Shayna Jackson and Latasha Hester.
Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Ervin Jr. and Jackie Norman and Roosevelt and Doris Norman, all of Gainesville, and the Rev. Larry O. and Deborah Norman, Jefferson; son, Terry Norman, Gainesville; special son, Tyrone Harrison, Gainesville; daughters and sons-in-law, Mary and Iziah Hester, Emma and Ora Banks and Jessie and Dr. Franklin Norwood, all of Gainesville, and Katherine and Andre Butler, Washington; brothers and sisters-in-law, Nelson Jr. and Ella Norman and Willie and Ellen Norman, all of Elberton; two sisters, Vinnie Barnett and Emma Bradley, both of Elberton; 18 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Young's Funeral Home, Gainesville, was in charge of arrangements.

MR. GOZA
JHS student
JEFFERSON - Daniel Madison Goza, 18, died Monday, October 9, 2000, at Barrow Medical Center following injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Mr. Goza was born September 21, 1982, in Fulton County. He was the son of Lee and Jennifer Goza, Jefferson.
Mr. Goza was a senior at Jefferson High School, where he was a three-year letterman in basketball and a letterman in golf.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, October 12, at Faith Baptist Church, Jefferson, with Dr. Gerald Mitton and Dr. Alan Saunders officiating. Burial will be in Woodbine Cemetery, Jefferson. Tommy Pate, Tom Tabor, Richard Wehunt, Buzz Wehunt, Michael Newton, Nathan Saunders, Jarvis Hunter and Thomas Pate will serve as pallbearers. Members of the Jefferson High School Basketball Team and members of the Jefferson High School Golf Team will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include three sisters, Annie Leigh Goza, Rachel Lynn Goza and Kellie Rebecca Goza, all of Jefferson; grandparents, Tifton and Betty Ruth Goza, Lilburn, and Wayne and Jenetta Lisle, Lawrenceville; great-grandmother, Ellen Faulkner, Lawrenceville; great-aunt, Brenda Armstrong, Lawrenceville; and aunts, uncles and cousins.
The family was to have received friends from 6 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Faith Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Faith Baptist Church Building Fund, 2081 U.S. 129 North, Jefferson, GA 30549.

MR. MORRIS

LULA - Bobby James Morris, 48, died Friday, May 26, 2000, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville.
Mr. Morris was born December 10, 1951, in Jackson County. He was a son of Robert and Minnie Ruth Reid Morris, Lula.
Mr. Morris was a teacher and coach at Banks County High School. He attended Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, Lula.
Funeral services were held Sunday, May 28, at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church with the Rev. Ralph O. Smith officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include his wife, Doris Delean Meeler Morris; one son, Reggie Morris, Lula; one daughter, Ashley Bachelor, Maysville; and one sister, Linda Wehunt, Gainesville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mt. Carmel Baptist Church.

MARLOW
Infant
MAYSVILLE - Silas David Marlow, infant son of Alvin and Tonya David Marlow, died Thursday, May 25, 2000, at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 26, in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, with the Rev. Brian Stowe officiating. Burial was in Jackson Memorial Gardens, Commerce.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include a sister, Bayleigh Marlow, Maysville; grandparents, Steve and Vickie David and Coy and Montez Marlow, all of Maysville; great-grandparents, Pearl Veal, Commerce, Buddy Veal, Gainesville, and Marshall and Clar David, Maysville; and great-great-grandmother, Louise Snipes, Commerce.
Little-Ward Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

MR. PEYTON
Silver Shoals Baptist rites
HOMER - Jerry Lee Peyton, 41, died Friday, May 26, 2000, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville.
Mr. Peyton was born July 17, 1958, a son of Geneva Peyton, Homer, and the late Rudolph Peyton.
Funeral services were held Sunday, May 28, at Silver Shoals Baptist Church with the Rev. Sam Parson officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Peyton is survived by one brother, Michael Peyton, Commerce.
Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.

MR. WOODWARD
World War II veteran
ALTO - Leeman Edward Woodward, 78, died Sunday, May 21, 2000, at the U.S. Naval Home in Gulf Port, Miss., following a brief illness.
Mr. Woodward was born August 28, 1922, in Lubec, Maine. For 42 years he was married to Eileen LaVerne Vreeke Woodward, known as "Toddy" in her hometown of Sheboygan, Wis. They had three children. Mrs. Woodward died in November 1987.
During World War II, he began his 25-year military career in the United States Marine Corps. He achieved the rank of master gunnery sergeant and in 1967 retired from the USMC as a "Top." During his career, Mr. Woodward served in the World War II-Asiatic-Pacific Area and the Korean Conflict. MGYSGT Woodward saw action with the Second and Third Marine Divisions. He was an Iwo Jima Survivor, having been a member of the pre-invasion forces of this grueling assault. His peacetime assignments included bases in Japan, Virginia, North Carolina, Georgia and Washington, D.C.
Mr. Woodward moved to Habersham County in 1967 and worked for the Ralston Purina Company. Later, he became a rural letter carrier for post offices in Banks and Gwinnett Counties. He delivered mail in these counties for 10 years. Mr. Woodward was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cornelia. He belonged to and supported several organizations, including Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Second and Third Marine Divisions Associations, and the Christian Children's Fund. Mr. Woodward enjoyed traveling and he visited Mexico, China, Europe, the Caribbean and other places after he retired from the post office. He had recently moved to the U.S. Naval Home in Gulfport, Miss.
Funeral services were held Monday, May 29, at Cornelia First Baptist Church with the Rev. Byron McEachern officiating. Burial was in the VFW Memorial Park Cemetery, with full military honors provided.
Survivors include three children, Linda W. Nunez, Hollywood, Fla., Bradlee E. Woodward, Newport, N.C., and Brian L. Woodward, Pittsburgh, Pa.; and three grandchildren, Joshua L. Nunez, Woodstock, Kyle Woodward and Kerri Eileen Woodward, both of Pittsburgh, Pa.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Cornelia Building Fund, P.O. Box 96, Cornelia, GA 30531.
McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home, Cornelia, was in charge of arrangements.

MISS WOOD
Antioch UMC rites
NICHOLSON - Miss Kristi Diane Wood, 26, died Monday, May 29, 2000, at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Miss Wood was born August 30, 1973, in Clarke County. She was a daughter of Nancy Williamson Farmer and Charles William Wood, both of Nicholson. Miss Wood was of the Methodist denomination.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 31, at Antioch United Methodist Church, Nicholson, with the Rev. Howard Rhodes officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Survivors, in addition to her parents, include her step-father, Larry Farmer, Nicholson; one brother, Kelly Farmer, Nicholson; two sisters, Traci Banks, Homer, and Shannon Glines, Commerce; and grandmothers, Jean Williamson and Sally Wood, both of Nicholson, and Sara Duren, Commerce.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.

MRS. CHAMBERS
Homemaker
MAYSVILLE - Mrs. Winnie Griffin Chambers, 90, died Friday, May 26, 2000, at Columbia Lanier Park Hospital, Gainesville, following an extended illness.
Mrs. Chambers was born January 20, 1910, in Banks County. She was a daughter of the late Asa and Nancy Jane Chambers Griffin. Mrs. Chambers was a homemaker and of the Baptist denomination. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Chambers.
Funeral services were held Sunday, May 28, in the chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home, Cornelia, with the Revs. Swayne Cochran, Perry Smith and Charles Crabb officiating. Burial was in the Silver Shoals Baptist Church cemetery.
Mrs. Chambers is survived by a nephew reared in the home, Norman Williams, Maysville; and sister-in-law, Mary Griffin, Maysville.
McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
