MISS HAGAN

ATHENS - Miss Kimberly Sue Hagan, 38, formerly of Clarkesville, died Thursday, December 14, 2000, at her residence following an extended illness.
Miss Hagan was born May 29, 1962, in Hamilton, Ohio, a daughter of John and Roberta Sosebee Hagan, Clarkesville.
She was a member of Cornelia United Methodist Church.
Funeral services were held Saturday, December 16, in the chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home, Cornelia, with the Rev. Wayne Smith officiating. Burial was in Yonah Memorial Gardens.
In addition to her parents, Miss Hagan is survived by one brother, John Hagan, Dacula; and one sister, Karen Hagan, Snellville.
Memorials may be made to the ARC, c/o Jane McFerrin, 299 Ostrich Drive, Cleveland, GA 30528.
McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

MR. TAYLOR
Habersham Co. resident
CLARKESVILLE - Thomas Enoch "Tommy" Taylor Sr., 82, died Friday, December 8, 2000, at Habersham County Medical Center following an extended illness.
Mr. Taylor was born January 9, 1918, in Pelham, a son of the late John Thomas Tichner and Rachel Clark Taylor.
He lived his last 40 years in Habersham County and was retired from Schnadig Corporation. Mr. Taylor also worked at Habersham County Medical Center, was of the Baptist denomination and was a member of the Soquee Wheeler Square Dancing Club.
Funeral services were held Sunday, December 10, in the chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home, Cornelia, with the Revs. Ernest Hunter and Larry Martin officiating. Burial was in Yonah Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife, Florine Tabor Taylor, Clarkesville; one daughter, Rachel Amelia Taylor, Clarkesville; one son, Thomas Enoch Taylor Jr., Clarkesville; one brother, Isaac Taylor, Macon; one sister, Leontine T. Upton, Macon; sister-in-law, Viola Chambers, Gaithersburg, Md.; brother-in-law, Allen Tabor, Warner Robins; three grandchildren, Roy Wildes, Clarkesville, Robert Wildes, Sautee, and Caine Taylor, Atlanta; four great-grandchildren, Leanna Wildes, Deanna Wildes, Annabelle Wildes and Anthony Wildes, all of Sautee; and a number of nieces and nephews.
McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

MRS. DOSTER
Seamstress
JEFFERSON - Mrs. Martha Healan Doster, 55, died Wednesday, May 24, 2000, at her residence following an extended illness.
Mrs. Doster was born in Jackson County, a daughter of the late Clarence Healan and the late Evelyn Pressley Healan.
She was a seamstress and was a member of Crooked Creek Baptist Church.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 26, in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, with the Revs. Bill Carpenter and Louis Gaddis officiating. Burial was in Jackson Memorial Gardens, Commerce. Ricky Lee Doster, Joey Fortson, Anthony Cleveland, Jerry Thomas, Dwayne Moore, Brian Street, Henry Doster, Wayne Doster and Tim Doster served as pallbearers.
Survivors include her husband, Billy Doster; two daughters, Donna Cleveland, Danielsville, and Pam McElroy, Winterville; one sister, Jonelle Street, Gainesville; two brothers, Edward Healan, Oakwood, and Doyle Healan, Flowery Branch; eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Evans Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

MR. JONES
U.S. Army veteran
JEFFERSON - Walter Lee Jones, 69, died Sunday, May 28, 2000, at his residence following an extended illness.
Mr. Jones was born August 9, 1930, in Jackson County. He was a son of the late Roy Eugene and Cora Motes Jones.
Mr. Jones was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during the Korean War. He was a retired Army officer and was a retired correctional officer.
Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his wife, Katherine Ingram Jones, and a brother, Roy Jones.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, May 30, in the chapel of Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, with Pastor Robin Self officiating. Burial was in Woodbine Cemetery, Jefferson. Eddie Stith, David Stith, Curtis Klutz, James Whisnant, David Whisnant and Bosie Griffith served as pallbearers.
Survivors include four sons, Danny Hubbard and Omer Carter, both of Jefferson, Fred Jones, Covington, and Randall Carter, Macon; five daughters, Kaye Carter Sloan, Athens, Patti Kilgore, Alabama, Angie Crose, Utah, and Ursula Jones and Andrea Jones, both of Texas; three sisters, Lavertis Griffith and Nelle Nix, both of Jefferson, and Frances West, Morrow; two brothers, Odell Jones, Riverdale, and Joe Jones, Athens; 21 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Evans Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

MISS WOOD
Antioch UMC rites
NICHOLSON - Miss Kristi Diane Wood, 26, died Monday, May 29, 2000, at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Miss Wood was born August 30, 1973, in Clarke County. She was a daughter of Nancy Williamson Farmer and Charles William Wood, both of Nicholson.
Miss Wood was of the Methodist denomination.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 31, at Antioch United Methodist Church, Nicholson, with the Rev. Howard Rhodes officiating. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Survivors, in addition to her parents, include her step-father, Larry Farmer, Nicholson; one brother, Kelly Farmer, Nicholson; two sisters, Traci Banks, Homer, and Shannon Glines, Commerce; and grandmothers, Jean Williamson and Sally Wood, both of Nicholson, and Sara Duren, Commerce.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.

MARLOW

MAYSVILLE - Silas David Marlow, infant son of Alvin and Tonya David Marlow, died Thursday, May 25, 2000, at Athens Regional Medical Center.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 26, in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, with the Rev. Brian Stowe officiating. Burial was in Jackson Memorial Gardens, Commerce.
Survivors, in addition to his parents, include a sister, Bayleigh Marlow, Maysville; grandparents, Steve and Vickie David and Coy and Montez Marlow, all of Maysville; great-grandparents, Pearl Veal, Commerce, Buddy Veal, Gainesville, and Marshall and Clar David, Maysville; and great-great-grandmother, Louise Snipes, Commerce.
Little-Ward Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

MR. PENNINGTON
Tennessee native
BRASELTON - Gary Charles Pennington, 45, died Sunday, May 28, 2000, at his residence following a sudden illness.
Mr. Pennington was born in Oneida, Tenn., a son of the late James and Hazel Ruth Smith Pennington.
He was employed in automotive repair.
Survivors include special friend, Pat Compton; two sons, Charles Compton and Jonathan Compton, both of Braselton; three daughters, Amber Cash, Oakwood, Laura Compton, Braselton, and Kimberly Bross, New Jersey; two sisters, Jessie Dressler, Mesa, Ariz., and Betty Sgruggs, Clinton, Tenn.; three brothers, Steven Pennington, Hoschton, Lloyd Pennington, Knoxville, Tenn., and Walter Pennington, Clinton, Tenn.; and five grandchildren.
Evans Funeral Home, Jefferson, was in charge of arrangements.

MRS. CHAMBERS
Homemaker
MAYSVILLE - Mrs. Winnie Griffin Chambers, 90, died Friday, May 26, 2000, at Columbia Lanier Park Hospital, Gainesville, following an extended illness.
Mrs. Chambers was born January 20, 1910, in Banks County. She was a daughter of the late Asa and Nancy Jane Chambers Griffin.
Mrs. Chambers was a homemaker and of the Baptist denomination. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Chambers.
Funeral services were held Sunday, May 28, in the chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home, Cornelia, with the Revs. Swayne Cochran, Perry Smith and Charles Crabb officiating. Burial was in the Silver Shoals Baptist Church cemetery.
Mrs. Chambers is survived by a nephew reared in the home, Norman Williams, Maysville; and sister-in-law, Mary Griffin, Maysville.
McGahee-Griffin & Stewart Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

MR. BERRY
Retired custodian
JEFFERSON - Lawrence E. "Doc" Berry, 60, died Friday, May 26, 2000, at Athens Regional Medical Center following an extended illness.
Mr. Berry was born in Augusta County, Va., a son of the late Charles Douglas and Virginia Delight Potter Berry.
He was a retired custodian with North Jackson Elementary School and was a member of Pleasant Acres Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held at 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 31, at Pleasant Acres Baptist Church with the Rev. Harold Millsaps officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Betty J. Berry; two sons, Jason Monroe Berry, Pendergrass, and Wesley Scott Berry, Jefferson; one daughter, Tina Dawn Ledford, Jefferson; two sisters, Madaline McCormick and Louise Conners, both of Richmond, Va.; one brother, Woodrow Lee Berry, Verona, Va.; five grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, "love donations" may be made to the family.
The family was to have received friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the church.

MRS. CROWE
Jefferson native
Mrs. Lottie Lamissie Weir Crowe, 80, died Monday, May 22, 2000, in Canton, Georgia Hospital after a brief illness.
Mrs. Crowe was born September 22, 1919, a daughter of the late Ben and Bessie Weir of Jackson County.
Mrs. Crowe was a sewing machine operator. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jasper Crowe, and a son, Ronnie Crowe.
Mrs. Crowe graduated from Martin Institute in Jefferson, with the class of 1938.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, May 24, in the chapel of Sosebee Funeral Home, Canton, with the Rev. Horace Richards officiating. Burial was in Cherokee Memorial Park, Canton. Scott Holder, Joe Holder, Ray Jeans, Walter Joe Weir and David Lee Weir served as pallbearers.
Survivors include brothers, James B. Weir, Canton; brother and sister-in-law, Ollien C. Weir and Mary Weir, Morrow; two nephews, David Lee Weir, Albany, and Walter Joe Weir, McDonough; and one great-nephew, Nolan James Weir, Albany.
Sosebee Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
