Mr. Robert W. "Bobby" Binion, 65, of George Coggin Road in Newnan died Feb. 8, 1999 at Peachtree Regional Hospital.

Born Feb. 11, 1933 in Sparta, Mr. Binion was the son of the late Byron Bert Binion and Flossie Elizabeth Binion Smith. He was a retired senior customer service agent with Delta Air Lines, a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean conflict and a member of Jones Chapel United Methodist Church.

A graveside service will be Thursday, Feb. 11, at 2 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, with the Rev. John Freeland and the Rev. Ed Cook officiating. His nephews will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive visitors from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Cornelia Collins Binion of Newnan; daughter, Nannette (James) Schmitt of Sharpsburg; son, Byron (Leslie) Binion; grandchildren, Kendal Binion, Samantha Binion; sisters, Sadie Warren Ebner of Temple, Texas, Lois Warner of Newnan; brother, James P. Ms. Mary Lee Crowder, 28, of Hatcher Street in Newnan died Feb. 6, 1999 at Peachtree Regional Hospital.

Ms. Crowder was born April 7, 1970 in Carrollton.

The funeral was Tuesday, Feb. 9, at Sellers-Smith Funeral Home, with the Rev. Edmond Leigh officiating. Burial followed at Eastview Cemetery, with Jackie Anderson, Greg Anderson, Reginald Henderson and Williams Coleman as pallbearers.

Born Nov. 6, 1928 in California, Mr. Brame was a retired aviation mechanic with Lockheed and a U.S. Navy Veteran of Vietnam. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Newnan.

The funeral will be Thursday, Feb. 11, at 11 a.m. at McKoon Funeral Home, with Dr. Gene Tyre and the Rev. Ralph Z. Parks officiating.

Burial will follow at 1 p.m. at Georgia Memorial Park in Marietta. Pallbearers will be Gene Baker, Don Roberts, Ron Stevens, Clayton Waugh, Jack Perry and Tom Vickery. The Men's Sunday School Class at First Baptist Church will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Mr. John C. Neill, 85, of Senoia died Feb. 8, 1999 in Newnan.

Born Sept. 21, 1913 in Coweta County, Mr. Neill was the son of the late Jim C. Neill and Lizzie Brooks. He was a textile worker for more than 30 years with Southern Mills and a member of Bethel Methodist Church.

The funeral will be Thursday, Feb. 11, at 2 p.m. at Bethel Methodist Church, with the Rev. Ken Hamilton officiating, assisted by the Rev. Matthew Martin.

Burial will follow in Senoia, with his grandsons and great nephews, Paul Daniel, Lee Daniel, Michael Leone Daniel Horn, Jimmy Hannah, Ernie Hannah and Jason Hannah as pallbearers.

Survivors include his wife, Tessie H. Mrs. Mildred Platt, 82, of Christian City, formerly of Newnan, died Feb. 10, 1999 at South Fulton Hospital.

Born Oct. 21, 1916 in Newnan, Mrs. Platt was the daughter of the late Joh Henderson Couch and Eula Leverett Couch. She was a homemaker and a member of Newnan Presbyterian Church.

The funeral will be Saturday, Feb. 13, at Hillcrest Chapel Funeral Home, with Dr. Harry Barrow officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan.

Survivors include her son, Mr. and Mrs. Ed (Teresa) Platt of Lawrenceville; grandchildren, Forest Platt of Atlanta, Karen Platt, Keith Platt, both of Lawrenceville; and nephew, Ted Taylor of Peachtree City.

Mrs. Lucile Morgan (Lucy) Lunsford, 82, of Harrisonville in Troup County died Feb. 11, 1999 at The Brian Center of Nursing Care in LaGrange.

Born May 29, 1916 in Heard County, Mrs. Lunsford was the daughter of the late William D. Morgan and Anna Noles Morgan and the wife of the late Preston Lamar Morgan. She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church.

The funeral will be Saturday, Feb. 13, at 2 p.m. at Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home, with the Rev. Frank Sledge and the Rev. Wayne Hester officiating. Burial will follow at Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville, with Tim Monteith Jr., Adam Monteith, Jerry Robertson, Jeff Kemp, Jim Kelly and John Lunsford as pallbearers.

Judge Carlton Bryan McKoy Sr.

Judge Carlton Bryan McKoy Sr., 90, of Newnan, died Feb. 12, 1999 at Newnan Hospital.

Born June 25, 1908 in Coweta County, Judge McKoy was a retired Coweta County Probate Court judge and a retired superintendent of mail for the U.S. Postal Service. He was a past master of the Eastern Star and a 55-year member of Coweta Masonic Lodge #60, having served as its master in 1949.

Judge McKoy was preceded in death by a son, Kendrick Hutchens McKoy of St. Louis, Mo.; a daughter, Vicki Varnell McKoy of Newnan and a grandson, David McKoy of St. Louis.

The funeral will be Monday, Feb. 15, at 2 p.m. at McKoon Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan.

Survivors include his wife, Varnell Caldwell McKoy; daughter, Carlene Gwen Puffer of Whitehall, Mich.; sons, Carlton Bryan McKoy Jr. of Newnan, Edwin Marvin McKoy of Senoia; sister, Fannye M. Fitzpatrick of College Park; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Richard Smith Sr., 81, of Sharpsburg, Ga. died Feb. 13, 1999.

Mr. Smith was born June 4, 1917 in Sharpsburg. He worked for the State Highway Department in Transportation and was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corps.

A funeral will be Tuesday, Feb. 16 at 11 a.m. at the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home in Newnan. Officiating will be the Rev. Frank Powers, the Rev. Willie Joe Loftin and the Rev. John Evans. Burial will be in Sharpsburg Baptist Church cemetery in Sharpsburg. Pallbearers will be grandsons.

Surviving are his daughters, Ann and Bill Harbour of Decatur, Ga., Betty and Dan Loftin of Moreland, Joyce and John Evans of Moreland and Joan and Roy Hanson of Newnan; son, Richard Fred and Elizabeth Smith Jr. of Newnan; 10 grandchildren.

Mr. James Ray Wallace, 72, of Neely Road, Sharpsburg, died Feb. 13, 1999 at Newnan Hospital.

Mr. Wallace was born April 17, 1926 in Sargent, Ga. to John Williams Wallace and Florence Leola Hall. A truck driver by occupation, he worked for Motor Convoy for more than 35 years. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during World War II. He was also a member of Turin United Methodist Church.

A funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 16 at Hillcrest Chapel in Newnan with the Rev. Franklin Treadwell officiating, assisted by the Rev. John George and Chaplain Steve Safreed. Burial will be in Turin Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Brian Bishop, Sam Bishop, Kent Bishop, Todd Turner, Lynn Mitchell and Dusty Pap.

Surviving are his children, Sandra Anderson of Pine Mountain, Mark Hulsey of LaGrange, Mike Wallace of Villa Rica, Tony Wallace of Sharpsburg, Steve Wallace of Sharpsburg and Angela Rudeseal of Tallapoosa; sisters, Annie Mitchell of Union City and Bernice "Tiny" Williams of Villa Rica; 11 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren.
