Mr. Eddie Mayner, 57, of Senoia, died October 5, 2000 at Emory Peachtree Regional Hospital in Newnan.

Mr. Mayner was born September 9, 1943 in Meriwether County. He was a member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in Gay, Ga. where he served as usher. He worked in all construction trades, and was employed by the Payne Grading and Landscaping Co..

A funeral was held Sunday, Oct. 8 at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church with the Rev. E. A. Stephens officiating, assisted by the Rev. Milton Holston, the Rev. Steve Parks and the Rev. Alfred Hoard. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Michael Alexander, Richard Bush, Clyde Fowler, Ray Fowler, Willie H. Keith and Chris Redding. Honorary pallbearers will be Howard Calhoun, Irvin J. Franklin Jr., Joe Jennings, Aaron Johnson, Johnny Lucas, James Payne, Harvey Pope and Ben Thomas Sr.

Surviving are son, Joel S. Mayner, wife Irvina Mayner, daughter Mrs. Sharon Horton, brothers Robert, Cody and Thomas and Kim Mayner of Tacoma, Washington; sisters, Pearlie Foster and Shirley Dixon, and brothers- in-law, Willie Henry Keith and Johnny Lucas; half-brother, Tommy Lee Dunlap and half-sisters, Dorothy Mae Dunlap, Annie Ruth Godfrey and Betty Handy. He was stepfather to David Johnson and Jemi Catherine Granger; special nephew to Mrs. Mables Bowles, Mrs. Mary Alice Boozer and Mrs. Mimmie Mayner. He was grandfather of three. He will be mourned by many nieces, nephews and a special cousin, Edie Smith.

Ms. Marie Harris Moore
Ms. Marie Harris Moore, 58, of Smyrna, Ga., died Sunday, October 8, 2000 at Southwest Christian Hospice.

Ms. Moore was born in Newnan February 6, 1942. She worked as an administration assistant and was a member of First Baptist Church of Newnan. She was preceded in death by her mother, Leola H. Harris.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, Oct. 10 from 7-9 p.m. at McKoon Funeral Home in Newnan.

A funeral will be held at graveside in Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 2 p.m. The Rev. Don Helms will officiate.

Surviving are her father, Radford Harris and his wife, Myrtle, of Newnan; son, Bradford Harris Moore of Great Falls, Montana; daughters, Gretchen Moore Plummer of Acworth, Ga. and Amanda Love Townsend of Odum, Ga.; four grandchildren.

Miss Melinda "Lynn" Faye Nolan
Miss Melinda "Lynn" Faye Nolan, 37, of Newnan, died October 6, 2000 at Emory Peachtree Regional Hospital.

Miss Nolan was born November 3, 1962 in Coweta County to the late Mr. and Mrs. Rufus (Doris Hall) Nolan.

A funeral was Monday, Oct. 9, at 2 p.m. at Mt. Vernon First Baptist Church in Newnan. The Rev. Philip Carr officiated, assisted by the Rev. Hulon Kemp, the Rev. J. T. Coleman and Evangelist Susie Hudson. Burial will be in Eastview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jarvis Hill, Jamar Bailey, Victor Daniel, Darryl Hines, Gerald Berry and Ricky Stegall.

Surviving are son, Demaicus Antwoine Nolan; sisters, Miss Theressa Gayle Nolan, Mr. and Mrs. Charles (Carolee) Strobridge; brother, Mr. Bobby Nolan; nieces, Kristy Nolan and Terria Nolan; nephews, Orlando Nolan and Antonio M. Strobridge; uncle, Mr. Herbie (Irene) Hall; aunt, Mrs. Ora Hall; cousins, Mrs. Sharon Daniel and Mr. Andrew Fleming; a host of other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Mary Elizabeth Roe
Mrs. Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Humphrey Roe, 84, of Newnan, died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2000, at Southwest Christian Hospice in Union City.

Mrs. Roe was born May 25, 1916, in Elyria, Ohio. She graduated from Elyria High School and Kent State University, and was a teacher in the Elyria School System for 25 years. She moved to Newnan in 1995. Mrs. Roe was preceded in death by her husband, Clifford Roe.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2000, at 11 a.m. at St. Georgia Catholic Church. Father Leo Herbert will officiate. Friends and relatives are invited to come and celebrate the life of Mrs. Roe. Burial will be Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2000, in Tampa, Fla. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to Southwest Christian Hospice, 7225 Lester Road, Union City, GA, 30291 in Mrs. Roe's name.

Mrs. Martha Inez Bagwell Stewart, 92, of Decatur, Ga., died Saturday, Oct. 7, 2000.

She was a loving and devoted mother. One daughter, Mary Lou Waddell, preceded her in death. She was a long-time member of the Scott Boulevard Baptist Church.

A funeral will be held at Ward's Fairview Chapel Tuesday, Oct. 10 at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Gardens. Dr. T. Michael Davis will officiate.

Mrs. Ruby Eason, 68, of Newnan, died Monday, October 9, 2000 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta.

Mrs. Eason was born September 20, 1932, in Newnan. She was a grocery store owner and operator.

The family was receiving friends at McKoon Funeral Home in Newnan Tuesday, Oct. 10 from 7 to 9 p.m. and will do so again Wednesday, Oct. 11 from 7-9 p.m.

A funeral will be Thursday at McKoon Funeral Home at 3 p.m. The Rev. Searcy Jackson will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Seth Cochran, Shane Cochran, Bill Larkey, Steve Patalan, Johnny Robards and Michael Robards.

Mrs. Diane Faye Little, 45, of Newnan, died Tuesday, October 10, 2000, at Southwest Christian Hospice in Union City, Ga.

Mrs. Little was better known as "Miss Diane" to all those who worked with her at First Baptist Day Care, where she taught the 3-year-old class. She was born in Dade County, Florida to John and Marion Lawrence. It was there that she met and married her husband of 25 years, Charles Little. Her husband's job transferred them to Newnan sixteen years ago. She attended Sonrise Baptist Church at White Oak.

Surviving are her husband, Charles Little of Newnan, Ga.; a daughter and son-in-law, Channa and Robbie Long of Newnan; a brother, Gary Lawrence of Miami, Fla.; and a sister, Mrs. Patty Jones of Newnan, Ga.

A private memorial service is planned.

The family requests that donations be made to Southwest Christian Hospice in honor of Mrs. Diane Little.

Mrs. Edna Whitlock Rooks, 81, of Roscoe Road, died Tuesday, October 10, 2000 at her home.

Mrs. Rooks was born in Fayette County, Georgia Feb. 22, 1919, daughter of Eddie D. Whitlock and Winnie Williams. She was a retired registered nurse and was a member of First Baptist Church of Newnan.

A funeral will be held at graveside in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 2 p.m. with Dr. Gene Tyre and Bro. Hoyt Warren officiating.

Pallbearers will be Paul Whitlock Jr., Andrew Whitlock, Jimmy Whitlock, Eddie Whitlock, Mark Whitlock, James Warren Whitlock, Joe Jackson and Jimmy King.

Dr. Linda Gayle Deyton
Dr. Linda Gayle Deyton, 48, born May 19, 1952, died October 9, 2000.

She is survived by brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Jack Deyton, nephew Paul Deyton, niece Carly Deyton and step-mother Joanna Deyton.

Dr. Deyton was a graduate of Oak Mountain Academy, 1970; of West Georgia College, 1974 (BA), with honors; and received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Georgia in 1978.

Her family will remember her sense of humor and steadfast loyalty. Her many friends and clients will remember the brilliance, compassion, and love that made her a great healer of animals and people.

Mr. Thomas John Faber
Mr. Thomas John Faber, of Newnan, Ga. died Tuesday, October 10, 2000 after a one and half-year battle with brain cancer.

Mr. Faber was born in Chicago, Illinois, June 1941. At age three he moved with his family to Memphis, Tennessee and remained until he attended college. Growing up, Faber was involved in Scouting (Eagle Scout), hunting, fishing, and sports. He graduated from Mississippi State with a degree in electrical engineering. He worked for LaClede Steel, U.S. Air Force, The Clorox Co., Kingsford Charcoal Co., Bonner Construction, and was a Senior Project Manager for Metric Constructors.

Faber was a devoted parent to his daughters, a manager who cared about his people, a breeder who, along with his wife, was actively involved with his Morgan horses, and a person who had a heart for God and life.

He is preceded in death by his parents, John Faber and Dorothy Branch Faber.

He is survivied by his wife, Melody R. Faber of Newnan; two daughters, Lisa L. Faber of Lausanne, Switzerland and Shannon D. Faber of Bethesda, MD; and two brothers, Dr. Robert B. Faber of Nashville, Tennessee and Richard A. Faber of Memphis, Tennessee.

The family will receive friends at McKoon Funeral Home, Jackson Street in Newnan, Friday, Oct. 13 from 7-9 p.m.

A funeral will be Saturday, Oct. 14 at 11 a.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 576 Roscoe Road, Newnan, Ga. with the Rev. Russell Kendrick officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Mrs. Annie L. Harris
Mrs. Annie L. Harris, a former resident of Newnan and Manchester, Ga., died after an extended hospital stay at Memorial Hospital in Savannah, Ga. October 9, 2000.

Mrs. Harris taught in the public schools of Talbot and Coweta Counties for 43 years. After retirement from teaching, she remained in Manchester for a few years working in her local church which her late husband, the Elder Willie A. Harris, pastored for more than 20 years. Because of her declining health, her son moved her to Savannah, Ga. in 1998.

She joined the Bread of Life Church of God in Christ in Savannah where her son, Bishop Benjamin P. Collins, pastors; and she served faithfuly as a dedicated member and assistant church mother until her recent illness.

A funeral will be Saturday, Oct. 16 at 1 p.m. at Zion Hill Baptist Church, 87 Pinson Street in Newnan. Burial will be in Eastview Cemetery. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the home of her sister, 29 Johnson Avenue, Newnan, at noon Saturday.

Surviving are sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Wilkes; son, Bishop P. Collins (Virginia); daughter, Mrs. Willie Ann Bailey; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.

Miss Nikki O'Sha Bales, 20, of Jonesboro, Ga., died at her home Saturday, October 7, 2000.

Miss Bales was born June 24, 1980 in Fulton County, Ga. to Renita Fay Bales Stoe. She was a loving mother of two.

A funeral was Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 2 p.m. at Tom Stutts and Son Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Floyd Henderson officiating. Pallbearers were Tommy Combs, Elvis Combs, Chuck Combs, George Mills, Jerome Harris and Ross Henry. Burial was in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.

Surviving are daughter, Little Miss Hailey Dianne Bales; son, Master Franklin Craig Bales; mother, Renita Bales Stoe; grandparents, Dianne and Dewitt Bales and Liz Stoe; three brothers, Richard Stoe Jr., Dariane White and Jason Bales, all of the Jonesboro area.

Mr. Frank Merz Butterfield

Mr. Frank Merz Butterfield, 76, of Sea Island, Ga., died Saturday, October 7, 2000 at his home.

A memorial service was held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 10 at St. William's Catholic Church, Frederica Road, St. Simons Island. Burial was at Christ Church, Frederica.

Surviving are his wife, Joy Wenger Butterfield; son, Frank Merz Butterfield Jr. of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; daughter, Cynthia Butterfield Glover of Newnan; five grandchildren, Ashley Elizabeth Butterfield of Birmingham, Cynthia Reid Connor, Caroline Ruth Freeman, Candice Leigh Freeman and Frank Merz Butterfield III of Atlanta; two brothers, Sydney Butterfield and James Butterfield, both of Bethesda, Maryland; sister, Peggy Seininger, Charlotte, N.C.; 27 nieces and nephews.

Mr. Butterfield was a native of Jamestown, N.Y. He served his country with distinction as a B-25 pilot with the Armed Forces during World War II. Following the war, he attended and graduated from the University of Maryland in 1950. An avid golfer all of his life, Mr. Butterfield played on and captained the University's golf team.

On January 19, 1946 Mr. Butterfield married Joy Wenger of Monroe, Wisconsin. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. For more than 54 years many of Mr. and Mrs. Butterfield's happiest moments were spent with their children and grandchildren. "Papa" as he was affectionately known by all in the family, was the center of the family's focus because he centered his attention on each other member of the family.

Mr. Butterfield was a member of Cherokee Town and Country Club, Atlanta; and the Sea Island Golf Club.

In his business career, Mr. Butterfield was a founder and the President of Master Door Company of Atlanta and Roanoke, Alabama; Chairman of the Board of Gossen Corporation, Milwaukee, Wisconsin; a co-founder of Door Units of Georgia Inc. and Trimline Sales Company of Marietta; and President of MID, Incorporated of Atlanta.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers those wishing to make a donation in memory of Mr. Butterfield do so to a charity of their choice.

Mrs. Ima Jean Roberts Daniel

Mrs. Ima Jean Roberts Daniel, 63, of Elberta, Ala., formerly of Heard County, Ga., died at her home Sunday, October 8, 2000.

Mrs. Daniel was born in Carroll Counnty, Ga. to Bernice Lovern Roberts and the late Paul Wilson Roberts. She was a seamstress by profession and a Baptist by faith. In later years she had enjoyed being a wife, mother and grandmother.

A funeral was Thursday, Oct. 12 at 2 p.m. at the chapel of Tom Stutts and Son Funeral Home in Franklin, Ga. with the Reverends Bo Hendon and Chris Dean officiating. Pallbearers were Keith Jiles, Scott Daniel, John Roberts II, Richard Hutchenson, Gregory Cox and Kenny Mitchell. Burial was in the Hearn family cemetery.

Surviving are her husband, Jep Daniel of Elberta, Ala., formerly of Heard County; two daughters, Teresa McLarty of Tallapoosa, Ga., and Diane Stone of Bowdon, Ga.; two sons, Rickey Daniel of Bowdon, Ga., and Guery "Pepper" Daniel of Elberta, Ala.; mother, Bernice Lovern Roberts of Bowdon, Ga.; two sisters, Shirley Hutchinson of Temple, Ga., and Elenor Davis of Duluth, Ga.; one brother, Johnny Roberts of Bowdon, Ga.; seven grandchildren; four great-grandhcildren.

Mrs. Ruby C. Horsley, 70, died Wednesday, October 11, 2000 at Emory Peachtree Regional Hospital in Newnan.

A funeral will be Sunday, Oct. 15 at 2 p.m. at Zion Hill Baptist Church, 87 Pinson St., Newnan, with the Rev. W. J. Johnson, pastor, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Larry Evans and Rev. Melvin Brittian Jr. Burial will be in Eastview Cemetery. Pallbearers will be the nephews and special friends Artis, Billy and Hubert Smith. Nieces will serve as flower bearers.

Mrs. Horsley was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John H. Miller, born February 26, 1930 in Manchester, Ga.

On September 7, 1947 she was married to Mr. Willie C. Horsley and they had two children, Beverly (Laine) and Thelma (Jean).

Early in her life she joined Zion Hill Baptist Church under the leadership of the Rev. R. L. McKibbens. She was president of the UCCA Club, a member of the Combined Choir, Senior Choir and Gospel Choir. She was a faithful member until her illness. She was friendly, outgoing and loved by everyone.

She attended Meriwether County Schools and two years at Morris Brown College. She became employed as a dietician at Central High School and worked as a teacher assistant.

Surviving are her loving and devoted husband of 53 years, Willie C. Horsley; two daughters, Mrs. Beverly Horsley Pender and Mr. and Mrs. Russell (Thelma) Canty; five grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Eric (Rita) Pender, Kelby, Derrick and Christopher, one great-granddaughter Hope, one great-grandson Sergio; sister, Ms. Jessie Dennard; niece, Ms. Allean Mahone; sister-in-law Mrs. Christola Partridge; four sisters-in-law and three brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Mr. Curtis Thompson

Mr. Curtis Thompson, 76, of Heard County, Ga., formerly of Hogansville, Ga., died Monday, October 9, 2000 at the Franklin Health Care Center after several years of declining health.

Mr. Thompson was born May 27, 1924 to the late Will J. and Georgia Altoona Thomas Thompson. He was a farmer by trade and a Baptist by faith. He lived most of his life in Heard County.

A funeral was Wednesday, Oct. 11 at 4 p.m. at the chapel of Tom Stutts and Son Funeral Home in Franklin, Ga., with the Rev. Rick McMahan officiating. Pallbearers were Charles Thompson, Jeremy Thompson, Kevin Thompson, Robert Thompson, Huel Thompson and Johnny Rich. Burial was in Franklin City Cemetery.

Surviving are three sisters, Grace Thompson of Franklin, Myrtle McCormick of Crest View Fla., and Albia Dollar of Bremen, Ga.; several adoring nieces and nephews.

Mr. Jewell J. Dyer, 64, of Franklin, died Sunday, Oct. 15, 2000, at his home.

Mr. Dyer was born June 19, 1936. He was self employed, retired from the logging industry. He was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Ray Dyer.

A funeral will be held today, Monday, Oct. 16, 2000, at 4 p.m. at McKoon Funeral Home. The Rev. Don Helms will officiate, and burial will be at Elim Baptist Church on Handy Road.

Surviving are his wife, Rochelle Dyer of Franklin; children, Vicky Beyer of Franklin and Steve G. Dyer of Newnan; sister, Diane Denson of Douglasville; brothers, Charlie Dyer of Cleveland and Ronnie Dyer of Blairsville; nine grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Ashton John Frazer, 1, of Luthersville, died Friday, Oct. 13, 2000.

Ashton Frazer was born Aug. 18, 1999, to Jessica Ivey Frazer and the late John Jason Frazer in Jacksonville, Fla.

A grave-side service will be held Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2000, at 2 p.m. at Luthersville Cemetery. The Rev. Orman Harcrowe will officiate.

Surviving are his mother, Jessica Ivey Frazer; grandfather, Jerry Ivey and his wife Denise of LaGrange; grandmother, Cynthia Ivey of Luthersville; grandparents John and Cheryl Frazer of Jacksonville; and great grandmother, Jackie Ivey of Fayetteville.

Austin Ryan Frazer, 2, of Luthersville, died Friday, Oct. 13, 2000.

Austin Frazer was born Aug. 26, 1998, in Jacksonville, Fla., to Jessica Ivey Frazer and the late John Jason Frazer.

Jason John Frazer, 24, of Luthersville, died Friday, Oct. 13, 2000 at Atlanta Medical Center.

Mr. Frazer was born May 7, 1976, in Jacksonville, Fla., to John and Cheryl Dykes Frazer. He was a carpenter.

Mr. Joe Johnson, Jr.
Mr. Joseph Johnson, Jr., 78, of Whitesburg, died Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000 at Newnan Hospital.

Mr. Johnson was born Oct. 10, 1922, in Atlanta. He was the owner of Fulton Hardware for 45 years. Mr. Johnson served in the United States Navy in World War II, and had served as exalted ruler of Elks Lodge 1670.

A grave-side service will be held Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2000 at 2 p.m. at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The Rev. Gary Parrish will officiate. The family will receive visitors at McKoon Funeral Home from noon to 2 p.m. on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Elks Aidmore Children's Foundation, or your local Elks Lodge.

Surviving are his wife, Doris Johnson; son, Joseph "Sandy" G. Johnson III of Philadelphia, Penn.; daughter and son-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Vaughn "Shelley" Smith of Camden, Maine ; granddaughter Mrs. Scott Robinson of Duluth, and great-grandchild, Scott Robinson Jr. of Duluth.

Mr. Herschel Edward Bryan
Mr. Herschel Edward Bryan, 76, of Franklin, Ga., died at Tanner Medical Center October 16, 2000.

Mr. Bryan was born Nov. 3, 1923 in Heard County, Ga. to the late Charlie Edward Bryan and Carrie Hill Bryan. He was a weaver by profession. Mr. Bryan served his country in the United States Army during World War II, where he served in Italy in the 10th Mountain Division, and the 175th Combat Engineers with a rank of Technical Corporal. He was a faithful member of the Macedonia Baptist Church in Heard County.

A funeral will be Tuesday, Oct. 17 at 2 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church with the Reverends Monroe Wiggins, Ray Runyon, Winfred Spruil, and Roy Wysner officiating. Burial will be in the church cemeteyr.

Surviving are his wife Runette Johnson Bryan of Franklin, Ga.; daughters, Gail Buchanan, Cynthia Hembree, both of Franklin, Ga., and Lisa McBrayer of Bremen, Ga.; sons, Gregg Bryan of Franklin, Ga. and Dudley Bryan of Douglasville, Ga.; sister, Mary Jewell Vaughan of LaGrange, Ga.; brothers, Hollis Bryan of LaGrange, Ga. and Ed Bryan of Franklin, Ga.; one granddaughter; four grandsons; a number of nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations ba made to the Macedonia Baptist Church Cemetery Fund in Heard County.

Mrs. Ruby Cochran Eason
Mrs. Ruby Cochran Eason, 68, of Happy Valley Circle died Monday, October 9, 2000 at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta.

Mrs. Eason was born September 20, 1932 in Newnan to Howard E. Cochran and Annie Carroll Cochran. She was educated in Coweta County Schools. She was owner/ operator of Eason's Grocery in Madras until 1977.

She became a member of Happy Valley Baptist Church at an early age and was part of the "Happy Valley Trio," a singing group for many years.

She was preceded in death by her father and brother, Howard R. Cochran Sr. and Jr. Respectively.

The funeral was Thursday, Oct. 12, at McKoon Funeral Home. The Rev. Searcy Jackson officiated. Burial was in Oak Hill Cemetary. Pallbearers were Shane Cochran, Donald Cochran, Chris Cochran, John Robards, Michael Robards, Steve Patalan, Mark Carroll, and Bill Larkey all of Newnan.

Surviving are her husband, William W. Eason of Newnan; mother, Annie C. Cochran of Newnan; daughters, Kathy (Stephen) Barnett of Newnan, Judy Bearden of Villa Rica, and Lori (Richard) Milton of Panama City Beach, Florida; son, Robert C. Eason of Newnan; brothers, Bobby (Jackie) Cochran, Jim (Vicki) Cochran, and Barry (Joan) Cochran all of Newnan; sisters, Louise Davis and Barbara (George) Robards both of Newnan.

She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Herman B. "Junior" Helms, 68, of 120 Henson Circle, Carrollton, died Saturday, October 14, 2000.

Mr. Helms was a native of Pike County, born June 4, 1932, son of the late Herman Basil Helms Sr. and Bertha Mahalie Helms.

He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in Korea in the 8th Army, 52 Truck Transportation Battalion.

He was a retired printer from Stoffel Seal Cooperation, Tallapoosa and attended Camp Creek Baptist Church.

Surviving are son and daughter-in-law, Ronald H. and Karen Helms; daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Rusty Walden, Brenda H. and Johnny Turner, all of Newnan; grandchildren, Paula and Laura Helms, Whitney and Shane Gann; brother and sister-in-law, Donald E. and Linda Helms, Molena, Ga.; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and James Andrews, LaGrange.

A funeral will be held at graveside 10 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2000 at Upson Memorial Cemetery in Thomaston, Ga. with the Rev. Tommy Taylor officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6-9 p.m.

Mr. McGruder was the son of Mrs. Belinda (Andrew) Caldwell of Greenville, Ga. and Mr. Robert Lewis (Elois) McGruder of Newnan, Ga.

Mrs. Ruby B. Allen, 67, of Newnan, died Tuesday, October 17, 2000 at her residence.

Mrs. Allen was born April 25, 1933 in Newnan. She worked as a school bus driver for Coweta County School System for 25 years and was also employed in the lunch room at Northside Elementary School. She is a descendent of one of Coweta County's pioneer families and was a life-long member of Andrews Chapel United Methodist Church.

The family will receive friends at McKoon Funeral Home Wednesday, Oct. 18 from 6-8 p.m.

A funeral will be Thursday, Oct. 19 at 2 p.m. at McKoon's. The Rev. John E. Evans and the Rev. Gary Parrish will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park on Roscoe Road.

Pallbearers will be Bobby Ayers, Ricky Ayers, James Brimer, Terry Brimer, Daniel Coggin and Dennis Coggin.

Surviving are her husband, Bruce Allen of Newnan; sons Charles and Laura Allen and Phil and Catharine Allen, all of Newnan; sisters, Betty Ayers and Florine Coggin and brother David Brimer, all of Newnan; grandchildren, Ben Allen, Emily Allen, Jake Allen and Kyle Allen, all of Newnan.

Mr. Eddie Glenn Williams died Thursday, October 12, 2000 at Newnan Hospital.

Mr. Williams was born November 18, 1947 to Esso Williams Sr. and Alma Smith Williams Levell. He joined St. John Baptist Church at an early age. He was self-employed as a construction worker. He loved life and people. He married Mary Ann Rice and they had four children. He was preceded in death by his father, Esso Williams Sr.; brother, Esso Williams Jr.; and two daughters, Ashley and Nachosia Williams.

A funeral will be Wednesday, October 18, at 1 p.m. at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Sharpsburg. The Rev. C. W. Smith, pastor, will officiate, the Rev. W. J. Clark will be eulogist, and assisting will be Elder Dorothy Bell and other ministers. Burial will be in St. John Baptist Church cemetery in Shenandoah. Family friends will serve as pallbearers.

Surviving are mother, Mrs. Alma Williams Levell; wife, Mary Ann Williams; daughters, Shervin J. Williams, Kenya Hill, Lakeshia Goodwin and Michelle Williams; sons, Eric Bennett, Cedrick Rainey, Antiwon Williams, Eddie Williams Jr., Eddie Perdue and Rodrick Barber; 17 grandchildren; one great grandchild; sisters, Aurena Hunt, Linda A. Miss Tosha Tequilla Blackmon died Friday, October 13, 2000 at Crawford Long Hospital in Atlanta, Ga.

A funeral will be Thursday, Oct. 19 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Moreland, Ga. at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Norwest Hill, pastor, officiating, assisted by the Rev. Paul Gay and the Rev. Felton James. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Christopher Thomas, Antwon Ferrell, Jimmy Brooks, Robert Walker, Kenyatta Davenport, Rashad Davenport, Yarice Smith. Flower ladies will be Scottdria Dixon, Tammy Balckmon, Nichola Hand, Kimba Thomas, Shenika Stargell, Keisha Tigner, Sheila Scott and Monica Cook.

Miss Blackmon, daughter of Mr. James L. Blackmon of Carrollton, Ga., and Ms. Lyshon Ferrell of Peachtree City, Ga., was born January 8, 1980 in Newnan, Ga. She was a loving person and good mother. She joined Mt. Calvary Baptist Church at an early age. Throughout her constant battles, she wore a smile and beared a positive attitude.

Surviving are son, Kendrian M. Owens of Peachtree City, Ga.; mother, Lyshon Ferrell; father, James Blackmon; sisters, Tina, Jamia, Tansha and Marquita; brothers, Rico, Cagney, Armond, Nicholas, Keon, Cedric, Randy, Jerry, James; maternal grandparents, Mr. Lewis Brooks (Annie); paternal grandparents, Mr. Henry Blackmon (Mary); great-grandparents, Mrs. Florence Scott (wife of the late Tom Scott) of Senoia; great-grandmother Mrs. Meole Crawford of LaGrange, Ga.; several aunts, uncles and cousins; special friends, Tony Herring, Nevella Herring, Sherry and Sheryl Pittman, Sequina Gray; nieces, Tatiyana, Tanecia and Tyra; nephew, Ashton Blackmon.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Rodricus Blackmon.
