Mrs. Hazel Newman Marchman
Mrs. Hazel Newman Marchman, 69, of Newnan, died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2001, at Fayette Community Hospital.

Mrs. Marchman was born Nov. 7, 1932, in Heard County, to the late Roger and Lucy Newman. Mrs. Marchman was devoted to caring for her family and friends. She was a retired dietitian for the Coweta County School System, and a life-long member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Heard County. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Marchman.

A funeral will be held Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2002, at 4 p.m. in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home. The Rev. Howard Scarbrough and Steve Clark will officiate, and burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers will be Alford Wright, Paul Davis, Jim Evans, Steve Clark, Garrett Woods, Gary Jacobsen, Ricky Marchman, and David Pilgreen.

The family will receive visitors Tuesday, Jan. 1, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Surviving are her children, Kathy Dumas of Newnan, Connie Jones and her husband Darrel of Newnan, and Mark Marchman and his wife Darlene, also of Newnan; sisters Nina Folds and Irene Lane of Franklin, Mary Turner and Myrtle Wilbur of Newnan, and Jewell Huffman of Aiken, S.C.; brother Paul Newman of Eldorado, Ark.; grandchildren Tracey Dumas, Richard Jones, Lindsey Marchman, Tyler Marchman, Tiffany Jones Tucker, and Eli Wortham, and many great grandchildren.

Mrs. Mary Ocheltree
Mrs. Mary Arnold Ocheltree, 88, of Hogansville, Ga., died Saturday, December 22, 2001 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Sally Willingham, in St. Petersburg, Florida.

A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Monday, Dec. 31 at the First United Methodist Church of Hogansville. The Rev. Marion Shivers will officiate, and burial will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the memorial service.

Mrs. Ocheltree was born September 8, 1913 in Corinth, daughter of the late William Pettice Arnold and the late Ida Miller Arnold. A graduate of Georgia State College for Women in Milledgeville, she retired as paymaster for Uniroyal Inc. in Hogansville after 30 years of service. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Hogansville, was active in the United Methodist Women, and was the wife of the late Melbourne H. Ocheltree.

Surviving are two daughters and their husbands, Sally and Fred Willingham Jr. and Melba and Karl Custke, all of St. Petersburg, Fla.; one sister, Mrs. Fran McGee of Jacksonville, Fla.; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Dee Lunsford.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in memory of Mrs. Ocheltree may be made to the First United Methodist Church of Hogansville.

Mrs. Lucile Parks
Mrs. Lucile Parks, 98, of Senoia, Ga., died Thursday, December 27, 2001 at LaFayette Nursing Home and Rehab.

A life-long resident of Senoia, Mrs. Parks was born in Coweta County Jan. 9, 1903, daughter of William Giles Wilson and Effie Rebecca Norton Wilson. One of the first employees of Southern Mills in Senoia in 1941, she worked there 22 years. She worked as a winder tender. She attended school in Senoia where she traveled in a horse and buggy and graduated from Brantley Institute in 1920, marrying her husband Dwight M. Parks on graduation night. She had five children and was predeceased by her husband, three children and one grandson. She was a lifelong member of Senoia United Methodist Church where she was a member of the Senoia United Methodist Women. She was also a member of the Senoia Historical Society.

Her life revolved around her grandchildren and cooking. She was fondly known as "Nan-Naw Parks" to all her family and friends.

The family was receiving friends at McKoon Funeral Home in Newnan Friday, Dec. 28 from 6-8 p.m.

A funeral will be Saturday, Dec. 29 at 2 p.m. at Senoia United Methodist Church. The Rev. Steve Davidson, the Rev. Don Welch and the Rev. Dan MacFarland will officiate. Burial will be in Senoia City Cemetery.

Surviving are daughters Jeanette Hardy of Griffin, Ga. and Mary and James Reese of Senoia; 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Daisy Pearl Keith
Mrs. Daisy Pearl Keith, 41, of Leavell Drive, died Wednesday, December 26, 2001 at LaGrange Hospice.

Daisy Pearl Mitchell Keith was born May 14, 1960 in Meriwether County to the late Johnnie Lee and Annie Pearl Mitchell.

At an early age she gave her life to Christ and worked faithfully in the church until her health failed. She was a sweet person, a terrific wife, mother, sister and sister-in-law.

A funeral will be Saturday, Dec. 29 at 1 p.m. at the Piney Grove Baptist Church in Haralson, Ga. with the Rev. Johnny C. Strickland, pastor, officiating, assisted by Rev. C. Parks, Rev. Bobby Childs, and Rev. Milton Holston. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be nephews and friends. Flower ladies will be nieces and friends.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 7-9 p.m.

Mrs. Mary Kathryn Songer
Mrs. Mary Kathryn Songer, 86, of Muncie, Indiana, died in her home Tuesday, December 25, 2001.

Mrs. Songer was born in Cato, Indiana, daughter of Ora G. and Anna Cox Robinson. She lived most of her life in Petersburg, Indiana, where she and her husband owned and operated Songer's Red & White Market.

She moved to Muncie in 1997 where she was an active member of First Baptist Church, the DMA's and the Home Mission Circle.

Surviving are her three children, Jerry Songer (wife, Brenda) of Newnan, Ga., Carolyn Dean (and husband David) of Morris Plains, New Jersey, and Joseph Songer (and wife Gayle) of Muncie; eleven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Pauline Jackson of Vincennes, Indiana.

Preceding her in death was her husband, William A. Songer; one brother and three sisters.

A funeral will be 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 28 at First Baptist Church in Muncie with Dr. William Noblitt officiating. A graveside service will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 29 in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Petersburg, Indiana.

The family was receiving friends 4-7 p.m. Thursday at The Meeks Mortuary, and will do so one hour before the services Friday at the church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Muncie Mission or First Baptist Church in Muncie.

Mr. Charles E. Thompson, 60, of Hogansville, Ga., died Wednesday, December 26, 2001 at West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange.

A funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 29 in the chapel of the Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Rev. Randall Hodge will officiate, and burial will be in Westminster Memorial Gardens in Peachtree City with full military honors.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. Friday.

Mr. Thompson was born Feb. 10, 1941 in Clayton County, son of the late Robert and Gracie Jackson Thompson. A resident of Riverdale before making his home in Hogansville ten years ago, he was a veteran of the Vietnam Conflict, retiring as a Specialist 5 from the U.S. Army. He also retired from Aluminum Systems of Atlanta after fourteen years of service.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Madie B. Thompson of Hogansville; step-daughter, Mrs. Carol Huckaby of Woodbury; two step-sons, Gary Basto of Morrow, Ga. and Michael Basto of Altus, Oklahoma; brother, James Sams of Stockbridge; sister, Mildred Tarrant of Peachtree City; six step-grandchildren; one step great-grandchild.

Mrs. Zulhay Josefina Buchanan
Mrs. Zulhay Josefina Buchanan, 46, of Acworth, Ga., died Saturday afternoon, Dec. 22, as a result of injuries suffered in an automobile accident in Mobile, Alabama.

The accident occurred while attending the funeral of Mrs. Buchanan's mother-in-law. Her husband, Mr. Jerry Buchanan remained in the hospital in Mobile, Ala. until his release Christmas day.

Mrs. Buchanan was born in Venezuela in South America, and was a graduate of the Central University of Venezuela. While living in Venezuela, Mrs. Buchanan was the recipient of many beauty contest awards. She moved to Atlanta, Ga. in 1981. She was not only a beautiful woman on the outside, but inside as well. She had a very big and giving heart and will always be remembered for helping everyone who needed anything. She was always the first one to help.

Surviving are her husband, Mr. Jerry Edward Buchanan of Acworth, Ga.; mother, Mrs. Josefa Guerrero of Venezuela; two brothers, Rodolfo E. Guerrero of Weston, Florida and Jose Antonio Guerrero of Newnan, Ga.; sister, Zully Amarillys Bruzual of Lawrenceville, Ga.; several nieces and nephews and many friends.

The family had a funeral wake at Jones Funeral Home Christmas Eve, Monday, Dec. 24 with Father Jorge Christancho leading the prayers.

A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26 at Jones Funeral Home with the Rev. Thomas Shannon officiating.

Mr. Lawson E. Helms, 65, of Cheatham Road, Griffin, Ga., died Tuesday, Dec. 25, 2001 at Select Specialty hospital in Atlanta.

He was born in Pike County July 14, 1935, son of the late Edgar Mose Helms and the late Viola Alice Killingsworth. He was a retired employee of Kmart distribution center in Newnan with 28 years service.

Surviving are his children, Lynda Wilder, Cathy Floyd and Ricky Helms, all of Griffin; sisters, Betty Pitts of Locust Grove, Sara Garner of Brooks, Laverne Wyatt of Griffin; brothers, Lee Helms of Eatonton, Ga., Larry Helms of Concord; several nieces and nephews.

A funeral will be Friday, Dec. 28 at 1 p.m. in the Warren Haisten Memorial Chapel. Rev. Dennis Elliott, Rev. Marty Harris, and Rev. Larry Massey will officiate, and burial will be in Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. Thursday evening.

Mr. Jack R. Sitton, 66, of Greenville, died Wednesday, December 26, 2001 at West Georgia Medical Center in LaGrange.

A funeral will be 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 28 at Primrose United Methodist Church in Meriwether County. The Rev. David Pinkard and the Rev. Ken Linnell will officiate and burial will be in the Luthersville Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home 6-8 p.m. Thursday night.

Mr. Sitton was born Nov. 7, 1935 in Meriwether County, son of the late Lupper and Aurelia Rowe Sitton. A lifelong resident of Meriwether County, he served in the National Guard, attended Primrose United Methodist Church and retired as a supervisor from Durand-Wayland Inc. in LaGrange. Mr. Sitton was an avid hunter and fisherman.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Nannie Belle O'Neal Sitton of Greenville; daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Ramon Rodrequez of Rosenburg, Texas; two sons, Ed Sitton of Decatur and Jerome Sitton of Greenville; two sisters, Mrs. Geraldine Lyons of Forest Park and Mrs. Yvonne Brock of McDonough; one brother, Lanier Sitton of Crossville, Tennessee; two grandchildren, Carmen Rodrequez and Tony Rodrequez, both of Rosenburg, Texas; a number of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Debra Ann Viverette of Grantville, Ga. died December 24, 2001.

Surviving are her husband Mike Viverette; son, Koby Viverette of Grantville; parents, Harry and Helen Davenport, Sharpsburg; brothers, Doug Davenport and Dean Davenport, Grantville; mother-in-law, Barbara Rush, Wichita, KS; father-in-law, Terry Viverette, Sharpsburg.

A funeral will be Friday, Dec. 28 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Parrott Funeral Home. Steve Clark and Jason Collins will officiate. Burial will be in Holly Hill.

Mr. Roy T. Emory, 57, of the Arnco Community, died Sunday, December 23, 2001 at Newnan Hospital.

A funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26 in the chapel of the Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Rev. Paul Stitcher will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Roscoe Road, Newnan.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home 5-9 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 25.

Mr. Emory was born March 25, 1944 in Heard County and lived in Coweta County most of his life. He was retired from Atlanta Wire Works. Mr. Emory was preceded in death by a son, Billy Emory, and his father, Quillian Emory.

Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ann Emory of Arnco; two daughters, Mrs. Marie Seals of Newnan and Mrs. Brenda Gosdin of Hogansville; son, Donnie Emory of Senoia; two step-daughters, Mrs. Janet Dutton of Newnan and Mrs. Jennifer Freeman of Griffin; mother, Mrs. Maude Emory Colley of Hogansville; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Hogan of Grantville, Mrs. Ethel Johnson and Mrs. Flo Lane, both of Hogansville; ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Mrs. Odessa Askew Hale, 90, of Hogansville, Ga., died Sunday, December 23, 2001 at Hospice LaGrange.

A funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26 in the chapel of the Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Rev. Tom Farr and Mr. Jody Hale will officiaite. Burial will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville.

Mrs. Hale was born Jan. 22, 1911 in Clay County, Alabama, daughter of the late John and Mary Elizabeth Whitter Askew. She lived in Hogansville most of her life, was a member of Antioch Baptist Church in Hogansville, and was retired from Uniroyal Inc. She was the wife of the late George B. Hale.

Surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Becky and Doug Faulkner of Hogansville; son and daughter-in-law, Nathan and Martha Hale, also of Hogansville; sister, Mrs. Mary Tyner of Phenix City, Alabama; two grandchildren, Jody and Carla Hale of LaGrange and Doug Jr. and Laura Faulkner of Lanette, Alabama; five great-grandchildren.

Mr. W. D. Jones
Mr. W. D. Jones, 79, of Second Street in the Arnco community died Sunday morning, December 23, 2001 at his residence.

Mr. Jones was born February 22, 1922 in Fayette County, Ga., to Jeffery Jones and Ellie Stephens Jones. He was retired from Bibb Manufacturing and attended First Pentecostal Holiness Church.

A funeral will be Wednesday, Dec. 26 at 2 p.m. at Martin and Hightower Hillcrest Chapel funeral home in Newnan. The Rev. Joe Strickland and Rev. O. C. Collins will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Newnan.

Pallbearers will be Tim Patterson, Leon Buttrum, Clemit Harris, Jimmy Marks, Alan Stone, Michael Pierce, Franklin Smith and Bobby Alford.

Surviving are wife, Lourine Winklies Jones; son, Jimmy Jones, both of Arnco. Also surviving are three step sisters and two step brothers.

Mr. Charles Edward "Woodie" Moore
Mr. Charles Edward "Woodie" Moore, 85, of Morris Road, Newnan, died Monday, December 24, 2001 at Beaulieu Convalescent Center.

Mr. Moore was born May 22, 1916 in Newnan. He was a retired ceramic tile contractor and an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of East Newnan Baptist Church.

The family will receive friends at McKoon Funeral Home Wednesday, Dec. 26 from 6-8 p.m.

A funeral will be Thursday, Dec. 27 at 11 a.m. at McKoon Funeral Home. The Rev. Frank Power will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park on Roscoe Road.

Pallbearers will be Scotty Bowie, Mickey Butler, Rob Estes, Chris Harmon, Mark Puckett and Chris Roberts.

Surviving are sons, Lahman Moore of Newnan, Charles Moore of Newnan; daughters, Marsha Eiland of Newnan, Robin Putnam of Carrollton, Ga.; sister, Sara Chapman of Atlanta, Ga.; brother, W. L. Moore of Ft. Worth, Texas; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Sarah H. Gazaway
Mrs. Sarah H. Gazaway, 67, of Sharpsburg, died Dec. 21, 2001.

She was retired from General Motors as well as the Coweta County School System. Funeral services will be today at 2 p.m. in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home, with Reverend John McDuffie officiating. Burial will be at Sherwood Memorial Park.

The family received guests Saturday, Dec. 22 at the funeral home.

Survivors include her husband Joe; a son and daughter-in-law, Joel and Kristen Gazaway; a daughter and son-in-law, Tommy and Jamie Dettmering; a sister, Carolyn Holly; three grandchildren, Jason, Kayleigh and Adam Gazaway; brothers and sisters-in-laws, Bill and Gwen Gazaway, Catherine Lane, George and Rheta Blankenship; nieces and nephews and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made to the American Diabetes Foundation, the American Heart Association or Turin Baptist Church.

Mr. Floyd Hammond
Mr. Floyd Hammond, 97, of Turin, Ga., died Thursday, Dec. 20, 2001 following a brief illness.

A native of Kershaw, South Carolina, he was the son of the late Jeter F. and Lillie M. Hammond.

He attended The Fruitland Institute and attended Clemson University in Hendersonville, N.C. His professional life was a diverse one in fields related to agriculture covering the spectrum from teaching to sales.

For 57 years, he shared his life with his wife, Ruth Byne Daniel Hammond, who preceded him in death.

A charter member of Oakland Baptist Church in Rock Hill, S.C., he had been named Deacon Emeritus honoring his many years of service to the church. He is survived by his brother, Paul Hammond of Kershaw, S.C.; a sister, Beulah Greene of Hopkins, S.C., and his nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were Saturday, Dec. 22 at the Turin Baptist Church, with Reverend John McDuffie and Reverend Bo Coleman officiating. Interment was in the Turin Memorial Garden.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Turin Baptist Church.

Mrs. Inez Hammock Smith, 74, of Greenville, died Friday, Dec. 21, 2001 at Twin Fountains Home in LaGrange.

The funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m. today at New Hope Methodist Church in Meriwether County. The Reverend Cecil Dix will officiate and interment will be in the church cemetery.

Mrs. Smith was born May 6, 1927, in Gay, Ga., daughter of the late Charles and Mary Ellen Johnson Hammock. She was a lifelong resident of Meriwether County, was a member of the Methodist church and was retired from the Meriwether County School System.

Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Nita Cato of LaGrange; one sister, Mrs. Lucy H. Lloyd of Bowdon; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Ida Lou Hammock of LaGrange; two grandchildren, Miss Carrie Cato and Wayne Cato Jr., both of LaGrange; and several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Floyd Hammond, 97, of Turin, Ga., died Thursday, December 20, 2001 following a brief illness.

Mr. George Ralph "Ned" Sims Sr.
Mr. George Ralph "Ned" Sims Sr., 66, of Newnan died December 19, 2001.

Mr. Sims was born July 17, 1935 in Newnan, Coweta County, Ga. to Mrs. Carrie Dell Stewart and the late Charlie W. Hicks. He was educated in the Coweta County Public School System. He was employed as a truck driver for the John Lambert Trucking Company for 36 years.

Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Carrie Dell Stewart; ex-wife, Zadie Robertson Sims; Ms. Dorothy Favors (the mother of his children); five children, Patricia Holland, Margie Sims, George Sims, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence (Debra) Pinder and Darrell Sims; eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, all of Atlanta; sister, Catherine Blue; three brothers, Mr. and Mrs. Jospeh Sims, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Jackson and J. C. Sims; close friends, Precilla, Mattie, Tina, Shanquita and Nell; aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A funeral will be Sunday, Dec. 23 at 3 p.m. at Mt. Gilead United Methodist Church with the Rev. Willie Tucker officiating, assisted by the Rev. R. W. Sutton and other ministers. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Family friends will serve as pallbearers.

Mr. Walter W. Bray, 74, died in his Newnan, Ga. home December 19, 2001.

Mr. Bray was a World War II veteran and a professional engineer who was in R&D for McDonnell-Douglas for twenty years. In later years he was employed in highway design with Virginia Department of Transportation.

Mr. Bray is survived by his wife, Avonne H. Bray; and four brothers, Bill, Mack, Joe and Loy.

The family will receive friends at McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson Street, Newnan on Friday, Dec. 21, from noon to 2 p.m.

A funeral will be 2 p.m. in the McKoon Funeral Home chapel. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, 1173 Cascade Avenue, S.W., Atlanta, Ga.

Mrs. Margie Morrow
Mrs. Margie Morrow, 81, of Conner Drive, Newnan, died Wednesday, December 19, 2001 at Portsbridge Hospice.

Mrs. Morrow was born May 19, 1920 in Luthersville, Ga. She was retired as a clerk with Coweta-Fayette Electric Membership Cooperative and was a member of First Baptist Church of Newnan.

The family was receiving friends at McKoon Funeral Home Thursday, Dec. 20 from 7-9 p.m.

A funeral will be Friday, Dec. 21 at 11 a.m. at McKoon Funeral Home chapel. Dr. O. Eugene Tyre will officiate. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park on Roscoe Road.

Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Newnan.

Surviving are her husband, Raymond Morrow of Newnan; daughter, Linda (Ronnie) Foster of Tiger, Ga.; son, Ronnie (Shirley) Morrow of Piedmont, Ala.; grandchildren, Renee (Jamey) Coleman, David (Wanda) Foster, Rhonda (Frankie) Mathis and Randy Morrow; eight great-grandchildren; nephews.

Mrs. Margaret Mooney Sanders, 80, of Hogansville, Ga., died Thursday, December 20, 2001 at her home.

A funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 22 in the chapel of the Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. Burial will be in Myrtle Hill Cemetery in Hogansville.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home 7-9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21.

Mrs. Sanders was born December 15, 1921 in Meriwether County, daughter of the late Henry and Pearl Pearson Mooney. She lived in Hogansville most of her life and was a member of Trinity Worship Center in Hogansville. She retired from Uniroyal Inc. and was the wife of the late Leroy Sanders.

Surviving are three daughters and sons-in-law, Perline and Larry Woodruff of Anahuac, Texas, Mary Ellen and Ray Hill of Macon, and Gail and Murry Hammett of Hogansville; sister, Mrs. Henrietta Bowman of Hogansville; eight grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.

Mr. Winford Storey, 60, of Manson Road, Gay, Ga., died Wednesday, December 19, 2001 in Smyrna, Ga.

Mr. Storey was born May 23, 1941 in Coweta County to Hugh Woodson Storey and Sadie Chappell Storey. He was preceded in death by his father and his brother, Render Hugh Storey. Mr. Storey was a truck driver for the Atlanta Journal & Constitution and was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and Senoia Lodge F&AM.

A funeral will be at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Senoia Friday, Dec. 21 at 2 p.m. The remains will be placed in state at 1 p.m. The Rev. Dennis Fowler will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant Hill Baptist Church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Calvin White, David Hubbard, Rodney Moss, Phillip Storey, Jim Horton, Pete Wilson and Thomas Wilson.

Surviving are his mother, Sadie Storey of Senoia; daughter and son-in-law, Jeff and Tanya McCoy, Luthersville; son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Amanda Storey, Senoia; grandchildren, Jessica McCoy and Skyler McCoy, Luthersville; sister and brother-in-law, James and Brenda Hughes, Senoia; nephew, Phillip Storey, Senoia; niece, Tamara and Matt Ferrari.

Mrs. Mary Jane Teagle, 72, died December 28, 2001 at Emory Peachtree Regional Hospital in Newnan.

She was born February 10, 1929 in Coweta County, daughter of the late M. Henry and Mary Easter Herndon. One brother, Nathaniel Herndon, preceded her in death. She married the late Henry A. Teagle Sr. and they had 11 children.

A funeral will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Old Mt. Bethlehem Baptist Church. The Rev. Charles Character will officiate, assisted by the Rev. J. T. Coleman, the Rev. J. Farmer and the Rev. R. W. Sutton. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Harvey Brooks, Howard Brooks, Joseph Prather, Wade Glenn, Melvin Prather and J. C. Redwine.

Surviving are children, Mrs. Mary Louise (Willie James) Wynn, Mrs. Annie Elizabeth (Robert) Nalls, Rev. Henry A. Mr. Thomas C. Wyche, 66, of Moreland, died Wednesday, December 19, 2001 in Luthersville, Ga.

A funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 21, in the chapel of the Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville. The Rev. Johnnie Nunis and the Rev. Jerry Eley will officiate and burial will be in Southview Cemetery in Moreland.

Mr. Wyche was born February 3, 1935 in Coweta County, son of the late Clark and Belle Newby Wyche. A veteran of service in the U.S. Army, he was a lifelong resident of Coweta County, was a retired carpenter and attended the Grantville Church of God.

Surviving are wife, Mrs. Juanita Wyche of Moreland; daughter, Mrs. Susan Davenport of LaGrnage; five step-daughters, Mrs. Betty Hammett of Covington, Mrs. Helen Yearta of LaGrange, Mrs. Dianne Branch of Stockbridge, Mrs. Lucile Howard of Manchester, and Mrs. Marlene Roberson of Grantville; step-son, Ramon (Bo) Howard of Warm Springs; sister, Mrs. Polly Lee of Carrollton; two brothers, James Wyche of Moreland and Billy Wyche of Pavo; two granddaughters, Mandy Tollman and Nichole Tollman; four step-grand-children; two step-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Donald N. Holloway Jr., 57, of Cumming, Ga., died Monday, December 17, 2001 at his home.

A funeral will be 2 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20 at the graveside in the Grantville Cemetery, with the Rev. Alan Mathura officiating.

Mr. Holloway was born September 19, 1944 in Coweta County, son of the late Donald and Emma Belle Jackson Holloway. He had lived at Cumming for the past 15 years and was a sales manager for Allstate Insurance Company.

Surviving are two sons, Alex Holloway of Athens and Nat Holloway of Powder Springs; two brothers, Joel Holloway of Newnan and Mark Holloway of Hampton; one grandchild.

Mr. Michael Junior Hewett, 56, of Cross Plains Road, Carrollton, Ga., died Monday, December 17, 2001 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta.

Mr. Hewett was born March 8, 1946 in Thomaston, Ga. He was retired as a fork lift operator with Ford Motor Company and served his country in the United States armed forces.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, Dec. 19 from 7-9 p.m. A funeral will be at McKoon Funeral Home chapel Thursday, Dec. 20 at 4 p.m. Officiating will be Mike Hewett, Tim Hewett and David Pope. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park on Roscoe Road.
