DR. RAYMOND CHUNG YAP, 88, of Ho-nolulu, died Dec. 17, 1999. Born in Ka‘u, Hawaii. Donated 25 years of volunteer service as physician to his alma mater, McKinley High School and served as chairman of the Medical Board of State Retirement System for several years. Also the owner of the Kahaluu Fish Pond for more than 50 years who worked to preserve the historic site. Survived by wife, Carol Wai Tor Chang; daughters, Linda Wong and Roberta Yap; grandson, Christopher Scott Wong. Service held. Donations to St. Francis Hospital or St. Peter’s Church. RAYMOND FORID AMEEN, 69, of Makakilo, died Dec. 23, 1999. Born in Pawtucket, R.I. Substitute teacher for Leeward school district, mainly in Pearl City. Survived by wife, Mary; sons, Damian, Vernon and Andrew; daughter, Bronwyn Schulze; five grandchildren; brother, Edward.
