JOHN R. MURCHISON, 59, of Honolulu, died Oct. 28, 1999. Retired construction manager for Castle & Cooke Homes Hawaii. A U.S. Navy veteran, he also was a 33-year member of the Building Industry Association of Hawaii and former chairman of the Building Industry Labor Association. He helped build more than 16,000 homes in Hawaii, mostly in Mililani. Survived by wife, Peggi; son, Robert; daughter, Lori Murchison-Chervin; father, Robert; four grandchildren.
