SABINA MAMARIL CAMPOS, 99, of Ewa Beach, died Nov. 16, 1999. Born in Aringay, La Union, Philippines. CHARLES LEIALOHA SMITH SR., 80, of Honolulu, died Nov. 20, 1999. Retired supervisor for Morrison & Knudson Construction Co. and employed by E.E. Black Construction and Honolulu Refuse Department. Survived by wife, Edna Mae; sons, Charles Jr., Claybourne, James and Carlton; daughters, Audrey Burnside, Agnes Wong and Carletta; stepdaughters, Brenda Schnoor and Evelyn Radmacher; hanai daughter, Jodi; brother, Philibert Sceretario; sisters, Miram Kaaihue and Dorothea Cavallo; 27 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren. Visitation 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at Mililani Downtown Mortuary; service 7 p.m. Visitation also 8 a.m. Wednesday at the mortuary; service 9 a.m.; burial 10 a.m. at Mililani Memorial Park.

Dr. Kenneth Y.E. Chang, 77
Dr. Kenneth Y.E. Chang, the last surviving son of Chang Chau, a fellow revolutionary of Sun Yat-sen, died March 17. He was 77.
Chang was student body president at McKinley High School in 1939 and president of his freshman class at the University of Hawaii. He later went on to become a colonel in the U.S. Army, serving two tours in Korea. He also worked for the Indian Health Services and lived on the Crow Indian Reservation in Montana. He wound up his medical career serving Native Alaskans for the Cook Inlet Native Association. He retired in 1990 and moved to Fox Island, Wash.
He is survived by his wife, Janet; son, Dr. Ken Chang; and daughters, Laurel Kime, Momi Chinn and Heidi Chang; and five grandchildren.
Memorial services with military honors will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Makiki Cemetery.
Arrangements were by Haven of Rest Funeral Home, Gig Harbor, Wash.

STANLEY “JUNIE” LEIALOHA AKANA JR., 40, of Honolulu, died Nov. 23, 1999. Born in Honolulu. Graduate of Roosevelt High School, Class of 1977, and University of Hawaii, 1999; TWA customer service agent. Survived by partner, Richard Cheney; father, Stanley Akana; mother, Eloise Basques; brothers, Ben Chun and Llewelyn Chun; sisters, Mercedes Haney, Valerie Tucker, Stanette Keaunui and Renee Akana. Visitation 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at Kawaiahao Church, service 6 p.m. Arrangements by Hosoi Garden Mortuary.

GEORGE ANTHONY AVIERO JR., 55, of Kula, Maui, died Nov. 22, 1999. Born in Paia. Retired after 13 years service with state Airports Division. Survived by wife, Stephanie; mother, Violet; brothers, Valentine Sr. and Arthur; sisters, Katherine Ruettgers and Jacqueline Souza. RICHARD BOTEILHO, 76, of Kahului, Maui, did Nov. 22, 1999. Born in Paia, Maui. Worked for the engineering department at the Sheraton Maui. Survived by wife, Betty; daughters, Rosie Boteilho, Carol Denis and Mary Ellen Boteilho; sons, Dickie and David John; seven grandchildren; stepchildren, Phyllis Miguel, Terry Agarano and Robert Agarano; brother, John; sister, Elizabeth Souza. Visitation 7:30 to 9 p.m. Sunday at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, service 8:15 p.m. Visitation also 9 to 10 a.m. Monday at the church, Mass 10 a.m.; burial at church cemetery. Aloha attire. KEIANA LEI MARIE DEHNER, infant daughter of Eric and Ntissia Dehner of Honolulu, died Nov. 14, 1999. Born in Honolulu. Also survived by sister, Keiara-Lani; grandparents, Duane and Barbara Dehner, and Nigel and Fabreynette Eltagonde; great-grandparents, George and Doris Dehner, John and Violet Eltagonde and Rose Moreira. JAMES JITSUO HARAMOTO, 80, of Kula, Maui, died Nov. 23, 1999. Born in Waiakoa, Maui. A vegetable farmer in Kula. Survived by sons, Larry, Thomas and William; daughters, Gladys, Judy and Jeanne Sasaki; two grandchildren. RODRICK ANTON “JR.” HUBERT JR., infant son of Rodrick Anton Hubert Sr. and Trishia Renee Ragragola of Puunene, Maui, died Nov. 20, 1999.
