Frank N. Jones, 56, restaurant entrepreneur
Frank N. Jones, president of PJ Hawaii LLC, the company that owns and operates Papa John’s Pizza in Hawaii, died Thursday. He was 56.
Jones was a restaurant entrepreneur and consultant and oversaw several franchises in San Francisco, Seattle and Hawaii. These franchises included Wendy’s Old Fashioned Hamburgers, Chuck E. Cheese Pizza Time Theatres, Flaky Jake’s, Tony Roma’s and Papa John’s Pizza.
He is survived by his wife, Donna; son, Gundy; sister, Pam; children, Shalie, Newt and Courtney; and eight grandchildren.
Service will be 5:30 p.m. tomorrow at Borthwick Mortuary. The family requests casual attire.

Ted Scott, 85, co-founded theater guild
Hawaii services have been scheduled for Theodore “Ted” Scott, co-founder of the Windward Theatre Guild.
Scott, 85, who came to be known as “Mr. Theatre Hawaii” and was the “Voice of Sears” for many years, died Oct. 28 at his home in Redlands, Calif.
He is survived by daughters, Vicki Van Bummel and Sherry Ballard; three grandchildren; and two brothers, Otis and Arnold Scott.
A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, at St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church in Kailua. The family requests aloha attire.

PATRICIO “PAT” “BOBBIE” CALIMPONG, 73, of Ewa Beach, died Nov. 21, 1999. Born in Hamakua, Hawaii. Retired from Pan American World Airways. Survived by wife, Helen; sons, Richard, Kenneth, Glenn and Andre; daughters, Josie Castro,Geri “Abbie” Calimpong, Sharon Calimpong, Patricia Miller and Mary Calimpong; 25 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren.
