Patricia ‘Patti’ Schuler, 54
Patricia “Patti” T. Schuler, 54, of Honolulu died Friday in her home. She was the wife of James K. Schuler, president, chief executive officer and chairman of the board of Schuler Homes Inc.
Schuler was born in Detroit, was a flight attendant for 32 years and moved to Hawaii in 1986. She was a board member and volunteer of the American Heart Association and the Cancer Research Center of Hawaii. She also donated to Le Jardin Academy, Adult Friends for Youth, United Way, Juvenile Diabetes programs, the American Red Cross and the Special Olympics.
She is survived by her husband, Jim; son, Air Force Capt. Jeff Whiteman; three stepchildren, Pam, Chris and Mark; eight grandchildren; her brother, Lou Shereda; and sisters, Mercedes and Joan Shereda.
A memorial service will be held Thursday at 5 p.m. in St. Patrick’s Church in Kaimuki with visitation beginning at 4:30 p.m. Aloha attire is requested.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the Cancer Research Center of Hawaii, 1236 Lauhala St., Honolulu, HI 96813.
