CEDAR FALLS -- Elizabeth Hopkins Floyd, 89, of Spartanburg, S.C., died Friday, Nov. 15, 2002; services were Saturday; The J.F. Floyd Mortuary, Spartanburg, (864) 582-5451, was in charge of arrangements; memorials to the University of Iowa School of Music, Renovation of Russell Hall, Cedar Falls, 50614-0246; a daughter, Angeleita Floyd (Scott) Cawelti of Cedar Falls is a local survivor.

Hood, 71, of Independence, died Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2002, at West Village Care Center, Independence, following a lengthy illness; services 11 a.m. Saturday at First Presbyterian Church, with burial in Mount Hope Cemetery, both in Independence; visitation after 7 p.m. Thursday and after 3 p.m. Friday at White Funeral Home, Independence, (319) 334-2595.
