Benjamin L. Blakeslee, 52
REINBECK - Benjamin Lee Blakeslee, 52, died Dec. 6, 2004, at his home in Reinbeck while under the care of his family and Grundy County Hospice.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church in Reinbeck, with Pastor Dave Nolte officiating. Burial will be in the Reinbeck Cemetery. Friends are invited to call anytime after noon on Wednesday at the Hand Funeral Home in Reinbeck, where the family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday. A memorial fund is being established.
He is survived by his wife Edith "Edie" Blakeslee of Reinbeck; two sons, Jeremy (Lisa) Dugan and Benjamin Blakeslee Jr., all of Reinbeck; two sisters, Mary (Gerald) Gator of Oelwein and May Berry of Waterloo; four brothers, Nick Necker of Elgin, John Necker of West Union, Lee (Carol) Necker of California and Dale (Marlene) Necker of Florida; and five grandchildren.

Gerald Wenz, 63
Gerald Wenz, 63, of 1301 Summit St., Marshalltown, formerly of Salt Lake City, Utah, died Dec. 5, 2004, at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown.
Following cremation at the Pursel Davis Funeral Home and Crematory, a Memorial Mass will be held at 8 a.m. Dec. 19, 2004, at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Mount Pleasant. A private family intermenty will follow at a later date in Salt Lake City. Memorials may be directed to the Iowa Division of Multiple Sclerosis Foundation. Memorials can be mailed to Sandra Wenz, 200 N. Jefferson St., Mt. Pleasant, IA 52641.
Gerald is survived by his wife Sandra Wenz of Mt. Pleasant; a special niece Linda Rich of Mt. Pleasant; and a sister Judy (Curt) Nelson of Salt Lake City.

Larry Jo McAlister, 60
PAULDEN, Ariz. - Larry Jo McAlister, 60, died Nov. 10, 2004, of heart failure at his home in Prescott National Forest in Paulden, Ariz., where he lived for 20 years.
Graveside services will be 4 p.m. Saturday at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. All memorials will be donated to the Marshalltown Public Library.
He is survived by one sister Connie Vieth of Cedar Rapids; two nieces, Kim (Randy) Mogensen and her children, Lainie, Morgan and Chloe of Marion; and Brenda (Rob) Kreis of Cedar Rapids.
He was preceded in death by both his parents.
He will be forever in our hearts and minds.

Manning "'Mike" Wilson, 88
Manning "'Mike" Wilson, 88, of 919 S. 7th Ave., died Dec. 5, 2004, at his home while in the care of his family and Iowa River Hospice.
Funeral services are set for 10:30 a.m. Thursday from the Grace United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Jerold Swanberg and Rev. Bob White officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens, with flag presentation by Frank Lewis Glick Post 46 of the American Legion. Friends may call at the Estel Perrin Avey Funeral Home Wednesday from 5 to 9 p.m., with the family being present from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
He is survived by his wife Bernice; two children, Denise Wilson and Michael Wilson, both of Marshalltown; five grandchildren, Kim, Jodi, Dan, Brett and Tyler; three great grandchildren; and two sisters, Martha Thompson and Lydia Traube, both of Marshalltown.
Mike was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter Judith; four brothers; and two sisters.

Mildred Preston, 96
Mildred Preston, 96, of the Embers in Marshalltown, died Dec. 5, 2004, at Grandview Heights Care Center under the care of Hospice in Marshalltown.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. John United Church of Christ in Melbourne. Burial will follow services in the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens in Marshalltown. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4 to 6 p.m. at the Ryan Davis Funeral Home in Melbourne, with the family present at that time. Memorials may be directed to the Iowa River Hospice or the St. John United Church of Christ.
Mildred is survived by two daughters, Beverly (Paul) Heckman of Marshalltown and Mary Lou (Donald) Fleming of Zearing; a son Lloyd (Leona) Preston of Marshalltown; four grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Richard E. Watson, 81
GREENWOOD, Ind. - Richard E. Watson, 81, died Dec. 2, 2004, at his residence in Greenwood, Ind.
The Rev. Marc Hayden will conduct a memorial service at 11:30 a.m. Dec. 27 at Friedens United Church of Christ, 8300 S. Meridian St. in Indianapolis, Ind. Friends may call at 10:30 a.m. at the church prior to the service. Arrangements are being handled by Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory. Memorial contributions may be made to Friedens United Church of Christ, the American Cancer Society or Community VNA Hospital, 9894 E. 121st St., Fishers, IN 46038.
He is survived by his wife Nancy; two daughters, Cindy Mojonnier and Becky Kaiser, both of Greenwood; five grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents.

Warren Buchwald, 66
Warren Buchwald, 66, of 1505 W. Lincolnway, Marshalltown, died Dec. 6, 2004, at Marshalltown Medical and Surgical Center.
Funeral services are pending at the Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada (Marty Mitchell, funeral director).

Doris L. Sullivan, 82
Funeral services for Doris L. Sullivan, 82, were held Monday morning at the Estel Perrin Avey Chapel, with Rev. Ron Bryan officiating. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery following cremation.
Honorary bearers were Dr. Charles LaTenderesse, Sam Babb, Roy Bardole, Andy Anderson, Keith Biersborn and Kenny Ziemke.
A group in attendance was from the Hartland Friends Church.

Dorothea Kreimeyer, 88
APLINGTON - Dorothea Kreimeyer, 88, of Aplington, died Dec. 25, 2004, at the Ellsworth Municipal Hospital in Iowa Falls.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Thursday at the Sietsema Funeral Home in Ackley, with burial in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in rural Ackley. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Sietsema Funeral Home in Ackley.

Dorothy G. Davis, 90
GRINNELL - Dorothy G. Davis, 90, of Grinnell, died Dec. 26, 2004, at the Friendship Manor Care Centre in Grinnell.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Harrison Kruse Phillips Funeral Home in Tama, with Pastor John Epperson officiating. Interment will follow at Haven Cemetery in rural Tama. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Harrison Kruse Phillips Funeral Home in Tama, with the family will present from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial fund has been established.
Dorothy is survived by her husband Clyde Davis of Grinnell; a daughter Gayle (Donald) Powell of Mossyrock, Wash.; a son Jerry (Claudia) Davis of Grinnell; a sister Bervol (Bob) Walton of Toledo; a brother Marion (Betty) Thompson of Cedar Rapids; six grandchildren; and 14 great grandchildren.

Faustina Muller, 74
MELBOURNE - Faustina "Chris" Muller, 74, of Melbourne, died Dec. 26, 2004, at the State Center Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in State Center.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in State Center, with Fr. Rick Dagit celebrating. Burial will follow in the Melbourne Cemetery. Friends may call at the St. Joseph Catholic Church Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m., with a Scripture service being held at 7 p.m. The Wensel Perrin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include a brother Joseph (Bea) Muscatelli of Rhode Island; three sisters, Lena Spagna of New York; Domenica (Nick) Colamussi of New York; and Antoinette (David) Krivda of Texas; a brother in law Raymond Morizzo; seven nieces and nephews; and 22 grandnieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; two sons, Patrick and Anthony; and a sister Rose.

Gary E. Mitchell, 65
REINBECK - Gary Edward Mitchell, 65, of Reinbeck, died Dec. 25, 2004, at the Long Term Care Unit of the Grundy County Memorial Hospital in Grundy Center.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Amity Presbyterian Church, rural Reinbeck, with Pastor Diane Martin officiating. Private burial will be in the Grant Township Cemetery, rural Reinbeck, prior to the service on Wednesday. Friends are invited to call anytime after 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Hand Funeral Home in Reinbeck, where the family will be present to greet friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Amity Presbyterian Church, rural Reinbeck or the Cedar Valley Hospice of Grundy County.
Surviving is his wife Nancy Mitchell of Reinbeck; three daughters, Peggy (Mike) Nieland of Woodward, Marilee Mitchell of Windsor Heights and Valerie Mitchell of Waukee; and five grandchildren.
