Alabama School Yearbooks by State and County

Jerald Wilkins, 54
Jerald Wilkins, 54, of Marshalltown, died at his home on Nov. 26, 2004.
Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. Friday at the Binford House, 110 N. 2nd Ave. in Marshalltown.

Leroy C. Rohde, 76
Funeral services for Leroy C. Rohde, 76, wee held Tuesday afternoon at the First Baptist Church, with Rev. William Spencer officiating. Interment followed in the Riverside Cemetery in Marshalltown. Military honors were presented by Frank Lewis Glick Post 46 of the American Legion.
Casket bearers were Fritz Rohde, Steve Rohde, Steve Eibs, Greg Eibs, Larry Ford, Loren Ford and Hank Ford.
Honorary bearers were Glen Rubenbauer, Jim McGregor, Nick Scallon, Dr. David Collison, Vernon Wansley, Dr. Russell Watt, Robert Bowman, Dr. L.O. Goodman, Verle Hunt, James Bagnall, Richard Bagnall, Gene Shore, Dr. Elwood Harvey and "The Bandits."
Groups in attendance were "The Bandits," Our Savior Lutheran Church, Elmwood Country Club, U.A.W., Arbie Mineral Feed Company, P.E.O., Class of 1946, New Horizons Realty, United Bank and Trust, Independent Insurance, Frank Lewis Glick Post 46, the American Legion, Ethington Heating and Cooling, Fisher Controls, Iowa Lumber and Corner Tap.
Arrangements were entrusted to Pursel Davis Funeral Home and Crematory.

Charles Eswine, 87
Charles Eswine, 87, of the Iowa Veterans Home, died there Nov. 20, 2005.
Funeral services are pending at Pursel-Davis Funeral Home and Crematory.

Esther Schrafel, 67
Esther Schrafel, 67, of 503 N. 3rd St., died Nov. 18, 2005, at the Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames after a long battle with cancer. Her death came peacefully at 11:30 p.m. with her family at her side.
Funeral services and a celebration of her life will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Stadnick, Associate Pastor of the Fellowship Baptist Church officiating. Following cremation rites, she will be laid to rest in the Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home, 1209 Iowa Ave. W. from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday with her family present at that time. A memorial fund is being established. For condolences, please visit www.mitchellfh.com. Following the services, all are invited to the hospitality room of the funeral home for a time of fellowship and refreshments. Mitchell Family Funeral Home is caring for Esther and her family.
Left to mourn her loss are her children; Kim Davis and her children Kyle and Kasey of Marshalltown, Terry (Barb) Schrafel and their children, Jared and Matthew of Cedar Rapids and Kelly Schrafel and her children Joey and Alexis of Marshalltown; a special son, Tim (Mary) Davis of Green Mountain; her father, Wayne Sloat of Marshalltown; brother, Allan (Callie) Sloat of Mississippi; sister, Melanie (Randy) Pohlenz and their children Nicholas and Zachary of Topeka, Kan.; and an uncle, Herbert Sloat of Ft. Smith, Ark.
In death she has rejoined her mother Dorothy; step-mother Ada; grandparents Jesse and Amanda Sloat and William and Berchie Sprouse; and her longtime friend and companion, Ed Anderson.

George L. Murty, 73
George L. Murty, 73, of 104 W. Olive St., died Nov. 20, 2005, at the Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames with his loving family at his side.
Funeral services and a celebration of George's life will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Mitchell Family Funeral Home with Pastor J.L. Garmon and Pastor Curtis Jarrell of the Olive Branch Church officiating. He will be laid to rest in the Marietta Cemetery with full military honors by the VFW Harry C. Harter Post #839. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday. Following the intermenty rites, all are invited to the hospitality room of the funeral home for a time of fellowship and refreshments. Those left to remember George are two sisters, Donna L. (Leonard) Klenk of Covina, Calif., Helen L. Willey of Marshalltown; brother, Lester L. (June) Murty of Bellflower, Calif.; three sisters-in-law, Lois (William) Anksorus of Granger, Ind., Carolyn Woodward of Moravia, Iowa, Millie Woodward of Conrad; and many loved nieces and nephews who fondly remember him as Uncle Georgie.

Inez Broer, 100, of New Providence, died Nov. 19, 2005, at Ellsworth Municipal Hospital in Iowa Falls.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday at Honey Creek New Providence Friends Church. Burial will follow at the Honey Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. at Honey Creek New Providence Friends Church in New Providence.

Floyd E. (Porky) Mayer, 74
Floyd E. (Porky) Mayer, 74, of 2915 260th St., died Wednesday, Nov. 10, at the Israel Hospice in Ames. Funeral services are pending at the Estel Perrin Avey Funeral Home.

Mary H. Fleming, 84
Mary H. Fleming, 84, of Raytown, Mo., formerly of Marshalltown, died Monday Nov. 8, 2004 at her home.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, Nov. 12, 2004 at 11 a.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors Chapel, 9100 Blue Ridge Boulevard in Kansas City. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, Nov. 11 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the chapel.
Survivors include son William Fleming, of Phoenix, Ariz.; daughter Lori L. Wickham, of St. Anthony; brother Don Burns of Wichita, Kan.; sister Betty Ford, of Phoenix, Ariz.; 10 grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.

Wallace C. Reinert, 74
ELDORA - Wallace C. Reinert, 74, of Eldora, died of natural causes on Nov. 8, 2004, at the Iowa Veterans Home in Marshalltown.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Eldora, with Pastor David Splett officiating. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. on Friday at the New Providence Cemetery, with military honors provided by Walter Sayer Post 182 of the American Legion and Roll Harless Post 3974 of the VFW. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Thursday at Creps Abels Funeral Home in Eldora.
He is survived by his wife Irene; a daughter Valerie (Larry) Lubbert of Marshalltown; four sons, Larry (Carlene) Reece of Summerville, S.C., Steve (Deb) Reece of Union, Kent (Tracy) Reinert of Union and Kurt (Connie) Reinert of Marshalltown; a brother Walter (Lola) Reinert of Hubbard; and 17 grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.

Alta M. Carlson, 91
TOLEDO - Alta M. Carlson, 91, of Council Bluffs, formerly of Toledo, died Oct. 9, 2004, at Mercy Hospital in Council Bluffs, due to a stroke.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. at Christ United Methodist Church in Toledo. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Toledo. Visitation will be Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Henderson Overton Funeral Home in Toledo.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Douglas Carlson; four sons, Douglas (Sharon) Carlson of Novato, Calif., George (Solveig) Carlson of Mount Horeb, Wis., Paul (Irene) Carlson of Raymond and Carl (Alice) Carlson of Sioux Falls, S.D.; one daughter, Carol (Gary) Thien of Council Bluffs; one brother, Perry Grier of Fort Dodge; 16 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Anthony Ruopp, 51, of 2623 Taylor Ave., died Oct. 9, 2004, died at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.
Following cremation at Pursel Davis Funeral Home and Crematory, memorial services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Evangelical Free Church. Interment will follow in Timber Creek Cemetery. A public gathering will be Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Pursel Davis Funeral Home and Crematory, where the family will be present. ELDORA - Donald D. Kendall, 63, of Eldora, died Oct. 8, 2004, at Ellsworth Municipal Hospital in Iowa Falls of natural causes.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Creps Abels Funeral Home in Eldora, with Pastor Randy Crane officiating. Cremation will follow, with internment to occur at a later date. ELDORA - Andreas F. "Andy" Kasemeier, 91, of Iowa Falls, formerly of Eldora, died Oct. 10, 2004, at Allen Memorial Hospital in Waterloo from complications of pneumonia and heart failure.
Funeral services are pending at Creps Abels Funeral Home in Eldora.
