MANCHESTER -- Harlan W. Nading, 75, of Manchester, died Friday, Nov. 3, 2000, at Edgewood Convalescent Home after an extended illness; survivors include his wife, Kay; a son, Bill of Manchester; a daughter, Rita Zuercher of Manchester; a stepson, Bob Landis of Manchester; a stepdaughter, Julie Pierson of Pella; two grandsons; two great-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren; he was preceded in death by his second wife, Helen, in 1982; and a great-grandson; services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Leonard-Muller Funeral Home and Crematory, Manchester, with burial in Union Cemetery, Littleport; friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home; Mr. Nading farmed near Littleport, drove a truck, worked in construction and had also been employed with the West Delaware Schools, Rockwell-Collins, FMC and Triple E.

KEYSTONE -- Della M. Pohlmann Cantwell, 88, formerly of Keystone, died Friday, Nov. 3, 2000, at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, following complications of hip surgery; survivors include five daughters, Mary Jean Tecklenburg of La Porte City, Marjorie Vomhof of Baraboo, Wis., Shirley Miller of Vinton, Patty Cranston of Bucyrus, Kan., and Ellen Stevens of Cedar Rapids; 15 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; and two stepgreat-great-grandchildren; she was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth, on March 6, 1993; three brothers, Louis, Carl and Willie Pohlmann; and three sisters, Ella and Mary Pohlmann and Bertha Brauer; services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. John Lutheran Church, Keystone, with burial in the Keystone Cemetery; friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. today at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel, Keystone; a memorial fund has been established.

CRESCO -- Mabel Linderbaum, 91, of Cresco, died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2000, at Regional Health Services of Howard County, Cresco, of natural causes; survivors include two brothers, Elmer Linderbaum of Cresco and Harold Linderbaum of Minneapolis; she was preceded in death by two brothers, Arno and Harry Linderbaum; and three sisters, Ella Gobin, Clara Wiese and Ruby in infancy; services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Immanuel Lutheran Church, with burial in Oak Lawn Cemetery, both in Cresco; friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. today at Lindstrom Funeral Home, Cresco, and for an hour before services Monday at the church.

ACKLEY -- Lora Seibold, 101, of Westminster, Colo., formerly of Ackley, died Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2000, at Clear Creek Care Center, Westminster, of natural causes; survivors include two sons, Don of Federal Heights, Colo., and Wayne of Greers Ferry, Ark.; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry, in 1983; services will be 1 p.m. Monday at United Methodist Church, with burial in Oakwood Cemetery, both in Ackley; friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m. today at Sietsema Funeral Home, Ackley; Mrs. Seibold was the last charter member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Ackley.

DELAWARE -- Walter D. Evers, 79, of Centerville, formerly of Delaware, died Thursday, Nov. 2, 2000, at Mercy Medical Center, Centerville, following a sudden illness; survivors include a son, William Cozad of Greeley; two daughters, Lynette Cisler of Centerville and Sharon Hansen of Manchester; four grandsons; eight great-grandchildren; a brother, Oris of Rowley; and a sister, Laura Sunderman of Centerville; he was preceded in death by his wife, Erma, in September 1976; a grandson; and two brothers, Clark and Carl; services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral Home, with burial in Oakland Cemetery, both in Manchester; military rites will be conducted by the Manchester American Legion Post 45; friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. today at the funeral home; a memorial fund has been established; Mr. Evers was a World War II veteran and had worked construction for several years.

LAWLER -- Geneva Nystel, 84, of rural Lawler, died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2000, at Mercy Medical Center, New Hampton, of natural causes; survivors include two brothers, Andrew and Ingval Nystel, both of Lawler; she was preceded in death by four brothers, Jack Nystel, Erick Nystel, Omer Nystel and Ingval Nystel, in infancy; and three sisters, Edna and Mildred Nystel, both in infancy, and Agnes Howe; services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Zion Lutheran Church, with burial in Union Cemetery, both in Alta Vista; friends may call after 3 p.m. today at Conway Funeral Home, New Hampton, and for an hour before services Monday at the church.

CRESCO -- Owen Owens, 97, of Cresco, died Friday, Nov. 3, 2000, at Evans Memorial Home, Cresco, of natural causes; survivors include nieces and nephews; he was preceded in death by his wife, Mae; a brother, William; and a sister, Margaret Jones; services were Saturday at Cresco Community Chapel, with burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lime Springs; Conway Funeral Home, Cresco, was in charge of arrangements.

CRESCO -- Clinton Bigalk, 87, of Cresco, died Saturday, Nov. 4, 2000, at Evans Memorial Home, Cresco, of natural causes; survivors include a brother, Arvid Bigalk of Cresco; and four sisters, Shirley Davis of Cresco, Beryl Lahr of Compton, Calif., Thelberta Norman of Denver, Colo., and Carol Downey of Rogers, Ark.; he was preceded in death by a brother, Roger; services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Zion United Methodist Church, with burial in Cedar Hill Cemetery, both in rural Cresco; friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lindstrom Funeral Home, Cresco, and for an hour before services Wednesday at the church.

LIME SPRINGS -- Keith W. "Peachy" Johnson, 82, of Lime Springs, died Friday, Dec. 1, 2000, at his home of a heart attack; survivors include his wife, Bernice; two sons, David of Lime Springs and Tom of Clear Lake; a daughter, Kerry Maitland of Parkersburg; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and a half sister, Josephine Stuckey of McIntire; he was preceded in death by a half brother, Beryl Johnson; and a half sister, Nina Eichmeier; services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at United Methodist Church, with burial and military rites in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, both in Lime Springs; friends may call for an hour before services Monday at the church; Conway Funeral Home, Cresco, is in charge of arrangements; Mr. Johnson served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

CLERMONT -- Lydia M. Molokken, 68, of Clermont, died Friday, Dec. 1, 2000, at her home after a brief illness; survivors include three daughters, Vickie Chicken of Clermont, Lynn Madsen of Cedar Rapids and Judy Erb of Waukon; nine grandchildren; four brothers, Glen Reierson of Elgin, Clarence Reierson of Walker, Donald Reierson of Elgin and Robert Reierson of Postville; and a sister, Darlene Abel of Belle, Mo.; she was preceded in death by her husband, Levi; two half brothers, Alfie Reierson and Orvin Reierson; and two half sisters, Bernice Vick and Gladys Bruckner; services will be 1 p.m. Monday at West Clermont Lutheran Church, with burial in God's Acres, Clermont; friends may call from 2 to 7 p.m. today at Schutte's Clermont Funeral Chapel.

GARWIN –- Janice J. Reinig, 64, of Union Grove Lake, rural Garwin, died Thursday, Nov. 30, 2000, at her home under the care of Grundy County Hospice, of cancer; survivors include her husband, Larry; a son, Mark of Ames; two daughters, Diane Staker of Reinbeck and Donna Cain of Atlanta; 10 grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and two sisters, Shirley Schmidt of Iowa City and Jeannie Hubbard of Cedar Rapids; she was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Leone Kerr Shaffer; services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Peace United Church of Christ, Gladbrook, with 3 p.m. burial at Woodlawn Cemetery, Toledo; friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Hand Funeral Home, Reinbeck; memorials may be directed to the church or Grundy County Hospice; Mrs. Reinig worked at Farmers Home Administration Office for 10 years, and then moved to Reinbeck in 1978 and worked as a legal secretary at Rickert Law Office.

IOWA FALLS –- Bernie Lee Colwill, 57, of Iowa Falls, died Friday, Dec. 1, 2000, at his home of cancer; survivors include his wife, Sherryl; two sons, Briane Colwill of Webster City and Scott Allen of Des Moines; three daughters, Pamala Goodman of Altoona, Traci Wagner of Marshalltown and Malinda Fish of Iowa Falls; seven grandchildren; his mother, Bertha Colwill of Sioux Falls, S.D.; three brothers, Lyle of Raleigh, N.C., Dene of Dallas and Delwyn of St. Cloud, Minn.; and two sisters, Belva Star of Rapid City, S.D., and Marlene Ross of Sioux Falls; he was preceded in death by his father, Clarence; a grandson; and a brother, Willis; services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Evangelical Free Church, with burial in Union Cemetery, both in Iowa Falls; military rites will be conducted by Hyman-Peavey American Legion Post 188 of Iowa Falls; friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Linn's Funeral Home, Iowa Falls, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m., and an 8 p.m. prayer service; memorials may be directed to the family in care of his wife, Sherryl Colwill, 11672 County Highway S-33, Iowa Falls, 50126; a U.S. Army veteran, Mr. Colwill was the bakery manager for Hy-Vee Food Store, Iowa Falls, and had previously worked for Hy-Vee stores in Marshalltown and Sioux Falls.

APLINGTON –- Lawrence D. Meyer, 82, of rural Aplington, died Friday, Dec. 1, 2000, at Allen Hospital, Waterloo, of natural causes; survivors include his wife, Evelyn; two sons, Derold and Wayne, both of Ackley; four daughters, Marilyn Poppens of Ackley, Kathy Meyer of Waterloo, Roxie Nauman of Lakeville, Minn., and Elaine Dietrich of Williamsburg; 13 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Jack of Waverly; he was preceded in death by a sister, Henrietta Kalkwarf; services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at First Reformed Church, with burial in Pleasant View Cemetery, both in Aplington; friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today and 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at Schwartz Funeral Chapel, Aplington; Mr. Meyer farmed and raised livestock, retiring in 1998.

POSTVILLE –- Delbert J. Martins, 78, of Postville, formerly of Luana and Gunder, died Thursday, Nov. 30, 2000, at Veterans Memorial Hospital, Waukon, after a brief illness; survivors include his wife, Donna; a son, Alan of Luana; two daughters, Linda Martins of Oviedo, Fla., and Janice Caylor Martins of Coralville; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two brothers, Donald of Fairbanks and Duane of Waukon; and two sisters, Darlene Nuehring of Postville and Della Cowell of Luana; he was preceded in death by two brothers, Delmar in infancy and Delos; and a sister, Delores Larson; services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Postville, with burial in Marion Lutheran Cemetery, Gunder; friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. today at Schutte Funeral Home, Postville.

WELLSBURG –- Charlotte D. Koch, 93, of Wellsburg, died Friday, Dec. 1, 2000, at Grundy County Memorial Hospital, Grundy Center, of natural causes; survivors include seven nieces and nephews; 17 great-nieces and nephews; and nine great-great-nieces and nephews; she was preceded in death by a brother; and two sisters; services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, rural Wellsburg, with burial in the church cemetery; friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. today at Doyen-Abels Funeral Home, Wellsburg; she worked at the School for the Blind, Vinton, and also helped her sister at her nursing home; she also worked as a machinist for the Turner Co., Cedar Rapids, where she was employed for more than 40 years.

ROCKFORD –- LaVerne Gerald Bakeman, 95, of Rockford, died Wednesday, Nov. 29, 2000, at Nora Springs Care Center of natural causes; survivors include numerous nieces and nephews; and his caregivers, the Rev. and Mrs. Richard Sutton; he was preceded in death by a brother, Delbert; three sisters, Geraldine Gardner, Gladys Fox and Hazel Bakeman; seven stepbrothers, Will, George, Jesse, Bert and Clarence Bakeman and Jay and Ray Gifford; and two stepsisters, Lila Gifford and Agnes Peet; services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Fullerton-Schumburg Funeral Home, with burial in Riverside Cemetery, both in Rockford; military rites will be conducted by Walker Graper American Legion Post 338 of Rockford; friends may call from 10 a.m. until service time Monday at the funeral home; memorials may be directed to Remnant Seventh-day Adventist Church; Mr. Bakeman served in the U.S. Navy during World War II as a chaplain's assistant and then worked as a rural letter carrier in Rockford for the U.S. Postal Service for more than 30 years, retiring in the late 1970s.

NASHUA –- Dorothy M. Dann, 76, of Nashua, died Friday, Dec. 1, 2000, at Hospice of North Iowa, Mason City, of natural causes; survivors include seven sons, John, Robert and Timothy, all of Nashua, Ronald of Charles City, James of Bricelyn, Minn., Dennis of Eatonton, Ga., and James of Oak Harbor, Wash.; three daughters, Mary Madden of Nashua, Diane Wiles of Charles City and Barbara Zellmer of Mason City; 27 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Harvey of Sherburn, Minn.; she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Eugene, on March 7, 1979; a son, Thomas; a granddaughter; and seven brothers and sisters; services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Horton Baptist Church, rural Waverly, with burial in Greenwood Cemetery, Nashua; friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday at Chenoweth and Son Funeral Home, Nashua, and for an hour before services Tuesday at the church; memorials may be directed to the family.

REINBECK –- LaVonne "Bonnie" Willer, 93, of Reinbeck, died Friday, Dec. 1, 2000, at Parkview Manor, Reinbeck, of natural causes; survivors include three sons, Chuck of Marshalltown, Larry of Cedar Rapids and Dennis of Waterloo; two daughters, Mae Jean Hoeppner and Marlene Peters, both of Reinbeck; 11 grandchildren; two stepgrandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a stepgreat-grandchild; and a sister, Florence Blohm of Traer; she was preceded in death by her husband, Dutch, on Feb. 16, 1974; a daughter, Eleanor; a brother, Milbert; a sister, Martha; and twin siblings in infancy, a sister Merle and brother Earl; services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Union Congregational United Church of Christ, Reinbeck, with burial in Reinbeck Cemetery; friends may call after noon Monday at Hand Funeral Home, Reinbeck, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. and a 7 p.m. Eastern Star service; a memorial fund is being established; Mrs. Willer was a certified medication aide at Parkview Manor, Reinbeck, and had worked at Beverly Manor, Grundy Center, for the city of Reinbeck and with Wilson & Co., Reinbeck.

WATERLOO -- Sheridan Rae Gibbons, infant daughter of Jeffrey Gibbons and Kimberly Owen of 1753 Stephen Ave., died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2000, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Iowa City, of natural causes; services tentatively set for later this week at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on West Ridgeway, 233-3393.

WATERLOO -- Arnold Strauss, 83, of Waterloo, died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2000, at Cedar Valley Hospice home of natural causes; services pending with Kaiser-Corson Funeral Home, Waverly, 352-1187.

WATERLOO -- Sarah S. Porter, 90, of 315 Walnut, Apt. 203, died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2000, at Cedar Valley Hospice Home of natural causes; services 11 a.m. Wednesday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery; visitation from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street, 234-6274, where there will be a 3 p.m. Catholic Daughters of America rosary, a 6 p.m. parish rosary and a 7 p.m. vigil service; visitation also for an hour before services Wednesday at the church; memorials to the family.

ELDORA -- Carolyn L. Bills, 67, of Eldora, died Friday, Dec. 1, 2000, at her home of natural causes, while under the care of Hospice of North Central Iowa; services pending with Creps-Abels Funeral Home, Eldora, (641) 858-2181.

IOWA FALLS -- Rosa Burns, 97, of Iowa Falls, died Saturday, Dec. 2, 2000, at Ellsworth Municipal Hospital, Iowa Falls, of natural causes; services pending with Surls Funeral Home, Iowa Falls, (641) 648-9554.
