Sally M. Krokowski
Sally M. Krokowski, 74, of Sioux City died Sunday, March 29, 1998, at Countryside Retirement Home.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at St. Francis Catholic Church, with the Rev. Paul-Louis Arts, pastor, and the Rev. John A. Vakulskas, pastor of St. Joseph Church in Milford, Iowa, officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. today, with the family present from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. and a parish vigil service at 7 p.m., at the Larkin Morningside Funeral Home.

Mrs. Krokowski was born Jan. 17, 1924, in Hub City, S.D., the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Ness) Johnson.

She moved with her family to Sioux City as a child. She graduated from East High School.

She married Marion J. Krokowski on July 18, 1943, in Sioux City.

She lived in California during World War II, where she was employed with Lockheed Aircraft Company. She was chosen as Lockheed's "Rosie the Riveter."

They returned to Sioux City, where she was employed with Wincharger and Zenith Corporation. He died April 9, 1987, in Sioux City.

She was a member of St. Francis Catholic Church.

Survivors include two sons and their wives, Marion Jr. and Julie of Sioux City and Joseph and Naomi of Longmont, Colo.; three daughters, Barbara A. and her husband, David Simmons, of Longmont, Colo., Patti E. and her husband, John Staber, of Edwards, Colo., and JoAnn M. Krokowski of Sioux City; a brother, Edwin Johnson of Norwalk, Calif.; three sisters, Ethel J. Krommenhoek and Gladys Austin, both of Sioux City, and Clara Berg of Irene, S.D.; and eight grandchildren, Sara and Renee Krokowski, Cherie Crouch, Christine Simmons, Elizabeth and Jared Staber and Joshua and Leah Krokowski.

She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, John Jr., Art, Bjarnie, Kenneth and Eldon Johnson; and a sister, Joyce Hutchin.

Pallbearers will be Dick, Tom and Darrell Krommenhoek, Jared Staber, Dick Brzuchalski and Steve Krokowski.

Arthur W. Bollinger
Arthur W. Bollinger, 84, of Sioux City died Tuesday at Westwood Nursing and Rehabilitation Center following a lengthy illness.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m., at the funeral home.

Thomas G. Goodwin
Thomas G. Goodwin, 64, of Sioux City died Sunday at his residence.
Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church. Private burial services where held earlier in Banner Township Cemetery at Lawton, Iowa. There will be no visitation. Christy, Smith and Hockenberry Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Freda A. Kazos
Freda A. Kazos, 85, of Sioux City died Monday in Marshalltown, Iowa.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, with the family present from 7 to 8:30 p.m. and a Trisagion service at 7 p.m., at the funeral home.

Francis C. Mead
Francis C. Mead, 79, formerly of Sioux City, died Saturday, March 7, 1998, in Pomona, Calif.
Services were held March 10 at St. Madeline Catholic Church in Pomona. Burial was in Holy Cross Cemetery in Pomona.

Robert Acero
Robert Acero, 28, of New York City, formerly of South Sioux City, died Sunday; Becker-Hunt Funeral Home.

Derek E. Crumpton
VERMILLION, S.D. - Derek Edmund Crumpton, 5, died Saturday in Kempner, Texas.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church in Vermillion. Burial will be in Menno Cemetery at Menno, S.D. Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m., at Hansen Funeral Home in Vermillion.

Irene Feelhaver
COLERIDGE, Neb. - Irene Feelhaver, 81, of Coleridge died Sunday, March 29, 1998, at Park View Haven Nursing Home in Coleridge.
Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Coleridge, with the Rev. Norman Sulaica officiating. Burial will be in Lawn Ridge Cemetery. Wintz Funeral Home of Coleridge is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Feelhaver was born Oct. 1, 1916, in Coleridge, the daughter of William Henry and Sophia Anna Meta (Konken) Ordeman.

She married Harvey Feelhaver on May 29, 1935 in Canton, S.D. He died May 11, 1993.

She had lived in the Coleridge area and moved into Coleridge in 1954. She was employed with the Coleridge Nursing Home, the Park View Haven Nursing Home and the Coleridge Cafe. She entered Park View Haven in October 1992.

She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Survivors include a son and his wife, Don and Marcia of Coleridge; a daughter and her husband, Mardelle and Lowell Cole of McCook Lake, S.D.; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Doug Furlich, Oscar Nordstrom, Jeff Wemhoff, Jon Russell, George V. Hefner and Gordon Janssen.

Elizabeth Flindt
SPENCER, Iowa - Elizabeth Flindt, 94, of Spencer died Monday at Hilltop Care Center in Spirit Lake, Iowa.
Private graveside services will be held today in Riverside Cemetery at Spencer. A public memorial service will be at a later date. Warner Funeral Home of Spencer is in charge of the arrangements.

Anna Fett
ORANGE CITY, Iowa - Anna Fett, 86, of Orange City died Sunday, March 29, 1998, at Orange City Municipal Hospital.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church in Craig, Iowa, with the Rev. Douglas Dowling officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 6:30 p.m., at Oolman Funeral Home in Orange City.

Mrs. Fett was born April 4, 1911, in Ireton, Iowa, the daughter of Richard and Emma (Imbrock) Friederichs. She was raised in Ireton, where she attended high school.

She married Leland F. Fett on Aug. 29, 1928, in Ireton. The couple farmed near Ireton for a few years, then farmed near Craig.

She was employed with Otis Radio in Hawarden, Iowa, for several years.

In September 1979 they moved to Orange City. He died April 2, 1983, in Sioux City.

She was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, where she sang in the choir. She had been active in several other organizations.

Survivors include a daughter and her husband, Betty and William Bruns of Sartell, Minn.; four grandchildren, Mary Gronenthal, William L. and Phil Jon Bruns and Nancy Knowlton; six great-grandchildren; her caregivers, Bertha and Joe C. Kleinhesselink and Evelyn and Harold Pennings, all of Orange City; and her special friend, Gladys Vlieger of Maurice, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Ferguson, and a brother, Deitrich "Dick" Friederichs.

Genevieve Ploeger
HOLSTEIN, Iowa - Genevieve Ploeger, 85, of Holstein died Tuesday at Horn Memorial Hospital in Ida Grove, Iowa.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at United Methodist Church in Holstein. Burial will be in Diamond Township Cemetery at rural Aurelia, Iowa. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday, family present from 6 to 8 p.m., at Barker Funeral Home in Holstein.

Dennis W. Skaggs
CHEROKEE, Iowa - Dennis W. Skaggs, 46, of Cherokee died of a brain tumor Monday at his residence.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, with a family prayer service at 10:15 a.m., at First Church of Christ in Cherokee. Burial will be in Liberty Cemetery near Meriden, Iowa. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday, with the family present from 7 to 8:30 p.m., at Greenwood Funeral Home in Cherokee.

Mary I. Steckel
SUTHERLAND, Iowa - Mary I. Steckel, 98, of Sutherland died Monday at her daughter's residence in Sutherland.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Church of Christ in Sutherland. Burial will be in Earl Cemetery at Earl, Wis. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. today, with the family present from 7 to 8 p.m., at Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home in Paullina, Iowa.

Lucy Dick
MACY, Neb. - Lucy Dick, 77, of Macy died Monday, March 30, 1998, at Carl T. Curtis Care Center in Macy.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Alfred W. Gilpin Community Center in Macy, with Malcolm Tyndall in charge. Burial will be in Dick Family Cemetery. Visitation will be at the old Henry Dick residence near Macy. Pearson Funeral Home of Onawa, Iowa, is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Dick was born April 20, 1920, in Macy, the daughter of George and Alice (Grant) Dick.

She married Eli Sharpback on Oct. 10, 1968, in Winnebago, Neb. He died March 6, 1976, in Sioux City.

She was a teacher of the Indian culture.

She was a member of Group 9 and the Strong Heart Society.

Survivors include numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four sisters, Emily Dick Lovejoy, Susie Dick Aldrich, Elizabeth Dick and Thelma Dick; and two brothers, Henry and Joseph Dick.

Marie A. Urban
IDA GROVE, Iowa - Marie A. Urban, 87, of Ida Grove died Sunday, March 29, 1998, at Horn Memorial Hospital in Ida Grove.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Sared Heart Catholic Church in Ida Grove, with the Rev. Gerald M. Fisch officiating. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery. Christensen-Ciha Funeral Home of Ida Grove is in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Urban was born March 23, 1911, in Danbury, Iowa, the daughter of Fred and Anna (Sevening) Hauman.

She married Walter H. Urban on Jan. 22, 1935, in Ida Grove. The couple farmed for many years near Ida Grove, before moving into Ida Grove in 1969.

She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Survivors include a son, James Urban and Donna Johnston of Lamar, Mo.; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a sister, Chris Hartgenbush of Ida Grove.

She was preceded in death by her husband, an infant brother and a sister, Regina Welding.
