Emma A. Webb
Emma A. Webb, 91, of Sioux City died Friday, Dec. 18, 1998, at Harvest Westside Manor.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today at Anderson-Perasso Funeral Home, with the Rev. Al Weiss and the Rev. Jerry Wood officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Miss Webb was born July 22, 1907, in Wakefield, Neb., the daughter of William and Alice (Richards) Webb. She moved to Sioux City in 1928.

She was employed as a stenographer at law offices in Sioux City. She also taught school for a few years.

She was a member of First Assembly of God Church.

Survivors include two sisters, Bonnie Bates and Wava B. Farley, both of Sioux City; a brother, Russell Webb of Sioux City; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by four brothers, Woodrow, Marion, the Rev. Gerald and Willie Webb.

Almyrta R. Larsen
Almyrta R. Larsen, 81, of Sioux City died Sunday, Dec. 20, 1998, at a Sioux City nursing home.

Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Nelson-Berger Morningside Chapel, with the Rev. Leon Pfotenhauer officiating. Private burial will be in Graceland Park Cemetery. There will be no visitation.

Mrs. Larsen was born March 20, 1917, in Grand Rapids, Minn., the daughter of Chris and Mabel (Jellison) Baker.

She married Henry B. Larsen on Aug. 31, 1941, in Grand Rapids. He died Sept. 16, 1962.

She was employed as a bookkeeper for several hotels in Sioux City, retiring in 1980 from Howard Johnsons.

he lived in Grand Island, Neb., for 15 years, before returning to Sioux City.

She was a member of Calvary Episcopal Church and Order of the Eastern Star Rose Croix 400.

Survivors include two sons and their wives, Brent and Joy of Sioux City and Bruce and Carol of Harrisburg, S.D.; a daughter and her husband, Karen and Dr. Michael Giuliano of Morristown, N.J.; six grandchildren, Terri Clark, Chris Larsen, Lauri Lankford, Shane Larsen and Adam and Amy Giuliano; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Baker of Cohasset, Minn.; and a sister, Edna Watkins of Winston, Ore.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Arthur, Charlie and George; and four sisters, Hazel, Ethel, Mabel and Marguerite.

Gladys M. Olson
Gladys M. Olson, 89, of Sioux City died Monday at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Morningside Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Nelson-Berger Morningside Chapel.

Kenneth E. Pierson
Kenneth E. Pierson, 50, of Sioux City died Sunday, Dec. 20, 1998, at his residence following a lengthy
illness.

Services will be at 11 a.m. today at St. Michael's Catholic Church, with the Rev. Law-rence L. McCarty officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Larkin Northside Funeral Home.

Mr. Pierson was born June 27, 1948, in Sioux City, the son of Kenneth A. and Viola Pierson.

He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.

He married Joanne D. Pinney on April 4, 1981, in Elk Point, S.D.

He was employed as a truck driver and mechanic. He worked for Fremont Tire Co. and Jack Pinney Co. and was co-founder of Joanna Trucking Co. in April 1994.

He was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Kendra, at home; a son, Steven,at home; a stepson, John Hooks of North Sioux City; two stepdaughters, Dawn Hooks and her fiance, David Hobbs, of Sioux City and Jackie and her husband, Howard Moritz, of Chillicothe, Mo.; his mother of Sioux City; two sisters and their husbands, Jeannie and Dave Sears of Sioux City and Chris and Larry Evans of Gurnee, Ill.; three adopted children and their spouses, Randy and Kadie Pierson of Flint, Mich., Ron and Sue Pierson of Bellevue, Neb., and Jodi and Joe Berthelsen of Olathe, Kan.; his grandchildren; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Jack and Donna Pinney of Sioux City.

He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Steve.

Pallbearers will be Gary Junge, Larry and Bill Barkley, Frank Froehlich, Dennis Mincer and Dennis Huisman.

Pauline S. Pistore
Pauline S. Pistore, 71, of Sioux City died Friday, Dec. 19, 1998, at a Sioux City hospital following a lengthy illness.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Oto Church of Christ in Oto, Iowa, with the Rev. Karen Handke officiating. Burial will be in Westfork Township Cemetery, Climbing Hill, Iowa. Visitation will be 4 to 8:30 p.m. today, with the family present 7 to 8:30 p.m., at Christy-Smith Funeral Home.

Mrs. Pistore was born Nov. 14, 1927, in Whitesville, W.V., the daughter of David J. and Janie Reed. She was raised in Whitesville.

She married Randoll W. Pistore on Sept. 13, 1947.

She moved to Sioux City in 1969. She was employed with Zenith Corp. for many years and then with Donnelly Marketing, retiring in 1989.

Survivors include three daughters, Delores and her husband, Lewis Allen, of Sioux City, Denise Swonge and her fiance, Rob Treglia, and Drema and her husband, Terry Pedersen, all of Oto; two sons, Randal of Charleston, W.V., and Robert and his wife, Trudy, of Sioux City; 13 grandchildren, Justin, T. Mishell, Tara, Elizabeth, Robert Jr., Tate, Prairie, Owen, Sylvia, Jerry, April, Mirranda and Joshua; and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Delbert and Donald Reed; and a sister, Jewell Drumheller.

Pallbearers will be Robin Treglia, Randy Coyle, Terry Pedersen, Owen Gordon, Robert Pistore Jr. and Steve Perera.

Dorothy Hartman
Dorothy Hartman, 91, of Sioux City died Monday, Dec. 21, 1998, at a Sioux City care center following a brief illness.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Calvin Chapel of First Presbyterain Church, with the Rev. Donaldity 59 years ago.

She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where she was a deaconess, and of several church circles and P.E.O. Chapter K.E.

Survivors include her husband; a son and his wife, Douglas and Joan of Omaha, Neb.; three sisters-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Gilbert Phillips.

Memorials in her name may be directed to First Presbyterian Church or Hospice of Siouxland.

Louise Radschlag-Dvorak
Louise Radschlag-Dvorak, 92, of Charleston, S.C., formerly of Sioux City, died Monday; Nelson-Berger Morningside Chapel.

Friedrich Carstensen
IDA GROVE, Iowa - Friedrich Carstensen, 89, of Ida Grove died Sunday, Dec. 20, 1998, at Willow Dale Care Center in Battle Creek, Iowa.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Schleswig, Iowa. Burial will be in Morgan Cemetery. Visitation will be after 3 p.m. today at Huebner Funeral Home in Schleswig.

Mr. Carstensen was born July 26, 1909, in Bordelum, Germany, the son of Jens and Margaretha (Petersen) Carstensen. He was baptized and confirmed in the Evangelical faith. He attended school and farmed with his family in Germany.

He moved to the United States in 1930. He farmed with his family and then served in the U.S. Army for five years.

He married Elsie (Petersen) Schroeder on Feb. 25, 1949, in Schleswig, Iowa. The couple lived on a farm near Schleswig.

He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church in Schleswig.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Wayne and his wife, Carolyn, of Ida Grove and Jens of Sioux City; a daughter and her husband, Janice and David Nemitz of Denison, Iowa; nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Carsten of Ida Grove; and a sister, Inga Carstensen of Ida Grove.

He was preceded in death by two brothers, Johann and Hans; and two sisters, Lena Carstensen and Anna Harder.

Miles E. Helmen
BODE, Iowa - Miles E. "Mike" Helmen, 88, of Bode died Friday at Sioux Valley Memorial Hospital in Cherokee, Iowa, following a lengthy illness.

Services will be at 9:30 a.m. today at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Bode. Burial will be in St. Olaf Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Greenwood Funeral Home in Cherokee.

Donald L. Hall
LITTLE SIOUX, Iowa - Donald LeRoy Hall, 82, of Little Sioux died Sunday at Elmwood Care Centre in Onawa, Iowa.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Pearson Funeral Chapel in Onawa. Burial will be in Little Sioux Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Pearson Funeral Home in Onawa.

Linda L. Robinson
LAWTON, Iowa - Linda Lee Robinson, 53, of Lawton died Saturday, Dec. 19, 1998, at Kingsley Nursing and Rehab Center in Kingsley, Iowa, following a lengthy illness.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Community Presbyterian Church in Lawton, with the Rev. Susan Miller, chaplain of Hospice of Siouxland, officiating. Burial will be in Banner Township Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of McCulloch Funeral Home of Moville, Iowa.

Mrs. Robinson was born May 31, 1945, in Sioux City, the daughter of E. Lloyd and Rosemary (Thomsen) Lighthall.

She graduated from Lawton High School in 1963. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Northern Iowa in 1969 and her master's degree in social science and criminal justice from the University of Iowa.

She was employed with the University of Iowa, the Emma Goldman Clinic in Iowa City and the University of Colorado at Boulder, Colo.

Survivors include her parents of Lawton; two sisters and their husbands, Susan and Mark Ackelson of Des Moines and Joyce and Randy Howard of Lake Jackson, Texas; a brother and his wife, David and Kathy Lighthall of Hamilton, N.Y.; three nieces and two nephews.

Pallbearers will be Larry Hansen, Leo Lidgett, Brian McNaughton and Bill Mrla.

Kenneth Nattress
SPENCER, Iowa - Kenneth Nattress, 93, of Spencer died Sunday at Methodist Manor in Storm Lake, Iowa.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Warner Chapel in Spencer. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon today, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m., at Warner Funeral Home in Spencer.

Kenneth L. Rensink
HARLAN, Iowa - Kenneth Lloyd Rensink, 62, of Harlan died of cancer Sunday at his residence.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Reynolds-Love Chapel in Lexington, Neb. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 to 6 p.m. today at the funeral chapel.

Alfred H. Kaeberle
MECKLING, S.D. - Alfred H. Kaeberle, 96, of Meckling died Sunday at Sacred Heart Hospital in Yankton, S.D.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Bergen Lutheran Church in rural Meckling. Burial will be in Meckling Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 to 7 p.m. today, with a prayer service at 7 p.m. followed by a service by Vermillion International Order of Odd Fellows Lodge, at Iverson-Siecke Funeral Home in Vermillion.

Jean Hamilton
LE MARS, Iowa - Jean Hamilton, 77, of Radcliffe, Iowa, formerly of the Le Mars area, died Saturday at an Ames, Iowa, hospital.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars. Burial will be at a later date.

Eva Walker
MACY, Neb. - Eva (Grant) Walker, 77, of Macy died Monday at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Alfred Gilpin Building in Macy. Burial will be in Macy Cemetery. Visitation will begin at noon today at Sunrise Center in Macy. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh Funeral Home.

Donald Beaudette
ROSALIE, Neb. - Donald Beaudette, 78, of Woodburn, Ore., formerly of Rosalie, died of kidney failure Sunday in Salem, Ore.

Memorial services will be held at Cornwell Colonial Chapel in Woodburn. Burial will be in Bancroft, Neb.

Donald Zimmer
BOYER, Iowa - Donald "Cactus" Zimmer, 75, of Boyer died Monday at his residence.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Ann's Catholic Church in Vail, Iowa. Burial will be in St. Ann's Cemetery. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Wednesday, with a Legion of Mary rosary at 4:30 p.m. and a parish wake service at 7:30 p.m., at Huebner Funeral Home om Denison, Iowa.
