Irene L. Feight, 86, of Onawa, Iowa, formerly of Sioux City, died Tuesday at Elmwood Care Centre in Onawa.

Services and burial will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Pearson Funeral Home of Onawa.

Florence Weidert
Florence Weidert, 92, of Sioux City died Tuesday; Nelson-Berger Morningside Chapel.

David A. Pflanz
BELDEN, Neb. - David A. Pflanz, 46, of Cottage Grove, Minn., formerly of Belden, died Sunday, Dec. 20, 1998, at his residence following a lengthy illness.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Church of Holy Trinity in South St. Paul, Minn. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Mendota Heights, Minn. Visitation will be 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Southern Funeral Home in South St. Paul.

Mr. Pflanz was born March 9, 1952, the son of Gaylord and Pearlanna (O'Neill) Pflanz. He graduated from St. Frances Catholic High School in Randolph, Neb. He attended Briar Cliff College in Sioux City for two years.

Survivors include his wife, Terry (Sobaski); four children, Magdaline, Laura, Joshua and Erik; a grandson, Parker; his parents of Belden; three sisters and their husbands, Jean and Jeff Ward of San Diego, Calif., Julie and Wayne Wattier of Omaha, Neb., and Mari and Darrel Wenzel of West Branch, Iowa; five brothers, Danny and William and his wife, Cathy, all of Minneapolis, Minn., Dennis of Denver, Colo., Tim and his wife, Lori, of Brandon, S.D., and John of Phoenix, Ariz.; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bill and Joanne Sobaski of South St. Paul; three brothers-in-law and their wives, Bill and Gail, Bob and Teri and David and Karla Sobaski; and many nieces and nephews.

Gerald P. McHugh
SPENCER, Iowa - Gerald P. McHugh, 75, of Arvada, Colo., formerly of Spencer, died Saturday in Denver, Colo.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Riverside Cemetery, Spencer. There will be no visitation. Arrangements are under the direction of Warner Funeral Home in Spencer.

Esther L. Welch
SIBLEY, Iowa - Esther L. Welch, 64, of Charlotte, Mich., formerly of the Sibley and Sheldon, Iowa area, died Monday at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalmazoo, Mich. from injuries suffered in a automobile accident.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Andringa Funeral Home in Sibley. Burial will be in Pleasant View Cemetery, Little Rock, Iowa. Visitation will be Saturday evening, with the family present 7 to 9 p.m., at the funeral home.

Lois Plueger
ROCK VALLEY, Iowa - Lois Plueger, 66, of Rock Valley died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 1998, at Hegg Memorial Hospital in Rock Valley.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Rock Valley, with the Rev. James Demke officiating. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Saint John's Lutheran Cemetery, Craig, Iowa. Visitation with the family present will be 10 a.m. to noon Saturday at Porter Funeral Home in Rock Valley.

Mrs. Plueger was born Jan. 5, 1932, in Hawarden, Iowa, the daughter of Harry and Willa (Richardson) Jager. She was raised in Hawarden and employed at a cafe in Hawarden.

She married Kenneth Plueger on Feb. 26, 1950, in Hawarden. The couple farmed near Rock Valley for seven years, before moving into Rock Valley. She was employed with Kooima Manufacturing from 1967 until retiring in June 1992. He died June 13, 1998.

Survivors include two sons and their wives, Terry and Natalie of Rock Valley and Kendall and Danita of Sioux Falls, S.D.; a daughter and her husband, Janice and Bert Stellingwerf of Le Mars, Iowa; three brothers and their wives, James and Berna Jager of Hazel Green, Ala., Ronald and Margie Jager of Rock Valley and Robert and Glenda Jager of Hawarden; two sisters and their husbands, Mary and Verle Marienau and Ruth and Harlan Benda, all of Hawarden; seven grandchildren, Allison, Kristen, Angela, Amanda and Daniel Plueger, Michelle Taylor and Jason Stellingwerf; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Harry Jr. "Bud", Gordon, Ralph Jager and an infant brother; and two sisters, Geneva "Sis" Tucker and Betty Vipond.

James L. Rozeboom
BOYDEN, Iowa - James L. "Roy" Rozeboom, 66, of rural Boyden died Wednesday at Pleasant Acres Care Center in Hull, Iowa.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at First Reformed Church in Hull. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Saturday at Oolman Funeral Home in Hull. Family visitation will be 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday at the church.

Fred Silberstein
PAULLINA, Iowa - Fred Silberstein, 44, of Paullina died Wednesday at Baum-Harmon Hospital in Primghar, Iowa.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Zion Lutheran Church in Paullina. Burial will be in Prairie View Cemetery. Visitation will be after 1 p.m. Saturday, with the family present 7 to 8 p.m., at Gaudian-Eldridge Funeral Home in Paullina.

Richard Jenkins Sr.
SIBLEY, Iowa - Richard Jenkins Sr., 88, of Sibley died Wednesday at Sibley Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Andringa Funeral Home in Sibley. Burial will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday in The Clarion Evergreen Cemetery, Clarion, Iowa. Visitation will be 2 to 9 p.m. Monday, with the family present 7 to 8:30 p.m., at the funeral home.

Shirley Urban
LE MARS, Iowa - Shirley Urban, 52, of Le Mars died Wednesday at her residence.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Christ Lutheran Church in Grant Township, rural Le Mars. Burial will be in Christ Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Sunday, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at Mauer-Johnson Funeral Home in Le Mars.

Barbara J. Fendrick
EMERSON, Neb. - Barbara J. Fendrick, 41, of rural Winnebago, Neb. died Wednesday at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Emerson. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be 3 to 6:30 p.m. Friday at Munderloh Funeral Home in Emerson. There will be a rosary said at 8 p.m. Friday at the church.

H. William Loder
HARTLEY, Iowa - H. William "Bill" Loder, 73, of Hartley died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 1998, at a Sioux City hospital following a brief illness.

There will be no services or visitation. The body was cremated. Arrangements are under the direction of Anderson-Perasso Funeral Home in Sioux City.

Mr. Loder was born Feb. 18, 1925, in Spencer, Iowa, the son of Harold and Edith (Ward) Loder. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He married Corrine M. Miller on Jan. 13, 1979, in Las Vegas, Nev. He owned the Ford dealership, Loder Motor in Hartley for many years. He was then employed as the greens superintendent for Meadow Brook Golf and Country Club in Hartley for 16 years.

He was a member of the Masons, Hartley Chamber of Commerce and Greens Keepers Association.

Survivors include his wife; a son, John of New York City; two daughters, Jane and her husband, Jerry Eilers, of Salina, Kan., and Ann of California; two stepsons, Gary Brazle and his wife, Mary Jane, of Urbandale, Iowa, and Rex Brazle of Hartley; a stepdaughter, Sandra Brazle of Hartley; two sisters, Mildred Nelson of Spencer and June and her husband, Luo Lubensky, of Palm Springs, Calif.; two granddaughters; and two stepgrandsons.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Veronica Sudbeck
LAUREL, Neb. - Veronica Sudbeck, 92, of Laurel died Wedensday at Osmond General Hospital in Osmond, Neb.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Laurel. Burial will be in Laurel City Cemetery. Visitation will be noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at Schumacher-Hasemann Funeral Home in Laurel. There will be a vigil service at 7 p.m. Sunday at the church.

Leslie Kratochvil, 85, of rural Hawarden, Iowa died Wednesday; Wass Funeral Home of Alcester, S.D.
