Patrisha J. Keeton
Patrisha Jean Keeton, 2 year-old daughter and stepdaughter of Consuola and Harry Trotter of Dakota City, died Monday at a Omaha, Neb. hospital.

Services will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Dakota City United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Dakota City Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 to 8:30 p.m., with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m., at Becker-Hunt Funeral Home.

Theodore P. Lemek
Theodore P. "Ted" Lemek, 83, of Sioux City died Tuesday, Dec. 29, 1998, at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Church of the Nativity, with the Rev. John Vakulskas, his nephew, officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, with military rites conducted by American Legion Monahan Post 64. Visitation will be 2 to 9 p.m. Friday, with the family present 6 to 8 p.m. and a Scriptural wake service at 7 p.m. officiated by the Rev. Michael Larkin, at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel.

Mr. Lemek was born Sept. 23, 1915, in Sioux City, the son of Joseph and Caroline Lemek.

He married Bernice T. Vakulskas on Aug. 23, 1940, in Sioux City. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and received the Purple Heart Medal. He was employed with Cudahay Packing Co. for several years, prior to working for Armour and Co. He retired in 1977.

He was a previous member of St. Casimir and presently a member of Church of the Nativity.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters and their husbands, Jeanette and Steven Kammerer and Bonnie and George Qualley, all of Sioux City; a brother, Joseph of Rockford, Ill.; five grandchildren, Jeff and Dan Kammerer, Amy Stogdill, George and Cornelius Qualley; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, Ted Jr.; two brothers, John and Frank; and two sisters, Sister Mary Estelle and Helen Capers.

Pallbearers will be Jeffrey and Daniel Kammerer, George IV and Cornelius Qualley, Charles Jr. and Robert Vakulskas.

Steven J. McCoolidge
Steven Joseph McCoolidge, 77, of Sioux City died Tuesday at his residence.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Meyer Brothers Colonial Chapel. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be 10 a.m. until service time Saturday at the funeral home.

Clare Frances Robinson
Clare Frances Robinson, 57, of Sioux City died Wednesday; Nelson-Berger Morningside Chapel.

Edna L. Ritchison
Edna L. Ritchison, 84, of Sioux City died Wednesday; Nelson-Berger Northside Chapel.

Alice Brouwer
SIBLEY, Iowa - Alice Dykstra Brouwer, 88, of Ashton, Iowa, formerly of Sibley, died Wednesday at Osceola Community Hospital in Sibley.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Christian Reformed Church in Sibley. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Worthington, Minn. Visitation will be 5 to 9 p.m. Friday, with the family present 7 to 8:30 p.m., at Andringa Funeral Home in Sibely.

Richard F. Milner
PRIMGHAR, Iowa - Richard Fowler Milner, 96, of Primghar died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 1998, at Baum-Harmon Memorial Hospital in Primghar.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, with a family prayer service at 10:15 a.m., at Adaville United Methodist Church, rural Merrill, Iowa, with the Rev. Mark Volkers officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Valley Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10:30 a.m. Friday at Sanborn Funeral Home in Sanborn, Iowa. Visitation with the family present will be at 7 p.m. Friday, with a prayer service, at the church.

Mr. Milner was born Feb. 12, 1902, near Westfield, Iowa, the son of William B. and Emma (Pond) Milner. He attended Sunnyside Township School and graduated from Merrill High School. He was baptized in the Methodist faith.

He married Florence Mary Hathaway on Sept. 5, 1923, in Westfield. The couple farmed in Plymouth County. She died in 1946. He then married Anna Buck on July 6, 1948. The couple continued to farm in Plymouth County until retiring and moving to Primghar in October 1990.

He was a member of Adaville Methodist Church and was active in American Reformed Church in Primghar. He was also a member of Plymouth County Historical Association, Farm Bureau, a former school board member and worked with the ASCS office. He enjoyed reading.

Survivors include his wife; a son and his wife, Robert and Ronda of Sioux City; four daughters, Priscilla Elgersma of Primghar, Audrey and her husband, Charles Swalley, of Sanborn, Janet and her husband, Jerry Higgins, of Okemos, Mich., and Patricia Milner of Sheldon, Iowa; 11 grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Wilma; a granddaughter, Jill Post; two sisters; and three brothers.

Leslie Johnson
ALLEN, Neb. - Leslie Johnson, 81, of rural Allen died Tuesday at his residence.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Bressler-Humlicek Funeral Home in Wakefield, Neb. Burial will be in Eastview Cemetery, Allen. Visitation will be 2 to 6 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Antonette Gaul
ALTON, Iowa - Antonette Gaul, 97, of Alton died Tuesday, Dec. 29, 1998, at Floyd Valley Hospital in Le Mars, Iowa.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton, with the Rev. James Tigges officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be after 2 p.m. Friday, with a St. Mary's Rosary Society rosary at 3 p.m. and a vigil prayer service at 7:30 p.m., at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Fisch Funeral Home in Remsen, Iowa.

Mrs. Gaul was born June 25, 1901, in Bancroft, Iowa, the daughter of John and Angeline (Budde) Haupert. She was raised and educated in the Bancroft area. In the early 1920s, she moved to the Le Mars area where she did domestic work.

She married Nicholas Gaul on Jan. 12, 1926, in Bancroft. The couple made their home in Granville, Iowa. In 1928, they moved to Alton. They entered The Abbey in Le Mars in November 1993. He died June 26, 1994. She entered Plymouth Manor Care Center in July 1998.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and St. Mary's Rosary Society.

Survivors include three sons and their wives, Donald and Vera of Le Mars, John and Nancy of Independence, Iowa, and Joseph and Linda of Gladstone, Mo.; four daughters, Shirley and her husband, Richard Henshaw, of Park Rapids, Minn., Delores Penning of Omaha, Neb., Audrey and her husband, James Hibbing, of Mesa, Ariz., and Helen Fisher of Clinton, Iowa; a daughter-in-law, Mary Gaul of Waterloo, Iowa; 28 grandchildren; 45 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Wilma Haupert of Algona, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by a son, James; a grandson, Patrick Gaul; four sisters, Gertrude Hatten, Louise Herbers, Loretta Vaske and Sylvaria Haupert; and six brothers, Michael and LeRoy in infancy, John, Aelred, Walter and Joseph.

Pallbearers will be her grandsons.

Gladys M. Hendricks
ALCESTER, S.D. - Gladys M. Hendricks, 97, of Alcester died Tuesday, Dec. 29, 1998, at Bethesda Nursing Home in Beresford, S.D.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Teresa Catholic Church in Beresford. Burial will be in St. John Catholic Church. Visitation will be noon to 8 p.m. Friday, with the family present 7 to 8 p.m., at Wass Funeral Home in Alcester.

Mrs. Hendricks was born April 4, 1901, near Edgerton, Minn., the daughter of John and Anna (Sheldon) McMahon. She attended and graduated from the Catholic school in Hawarden, Iowa. She later received her teaching degree in Dubuque, Iowa and taught country school in Plymouth County, Iowa.

She married Everet Hendricks on June 18, 1923, in Hawarden. The couple farmed near Akron, Iowa, until 1942, when they moved to a farm near Alcester. He died April 12, 1971.

She was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church, where she was a charter member of Catholic Daughters of America. She was also a member of Catholic Daughters of America at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Akron.

Survivors include two sons and their wives, Bob and Dorothy of Hawarden and Fay and Millie of Alcester; a daughter and her husband, Mary Jean and Ray Streeter of Columbia, Mo.; 19 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son, James; six brothers, Martin, Clarence, Joe, Bernard, Frank and Ed; two sisters, Florence and her twin Berniece; and a granddaughter, Donna.

Louis R. Knudsen
JACKSON, Neb. - Louis R. "Louie" Knudsen, 79, of Jackson died Wednesday at a Sioux City hospital.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Hope Lutheran Church in South Sioux City. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 1 to 4 p.m. Monday at Becker-Hunt Funeral Home. Visitation will resume 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, with a prayer service at 7 p.m., at the church.

Edna M. Lohff
HOLSTEIN, Iowa - Edna Mathilda Lohff, 86, of Holstein died Wednesday, Dec. 30, 1998, at Good Samaritan Center in Holstein.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at United Methodist Church in Holstein, with the Rev. Judith A. Piper officiating. Burial will be in Galva Township West Cemetery, Galva, Iowa. Visitation will be 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, with the family present 3 to 5 p.m., at Barker Funeral Home in Holstein.

Miss Lohff was born Jan. 3, 1912, in Holstein, the daughter of Frederick C. and Anna Regine (Hinrichs) Lohff. She graduated from Holstein High School and Boyles Business College in Omaha, Neb. She also took short classes at Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill.

She was employed with Farmers Co-op Oil Co. in Ida Grove, Iowa. In 1942, she was employed for 30 years with Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. in Chicago, Ill. She retired in 1973, and returned to Iowa. She would winter in Mesa, Ariz.

Survivors include a sister, Eleanor Stoneking of Holstein; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by 10 brothers and three sisters.
