Muriel D. Bischoffer, of Arlington Hts. died May 13 at Northwest Community Healthcare Center in Arlington Hts. She was born Feb. 14, 1920 in Kenosha, Wisconsin. She was a homemaker and volunteered at several local hospitals. Her survivors include her husband, Raymond J. Bischoffer; her children, Thomas (Darlene) Bischoffer, Muriel Ann (Richard) Wilson, Mary (Carl) Jewell and Tim Bischoffer; her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Prayers were said on Friday, May 15 at Glueckert Funeral Home in Arlington Hts. and St. James Church in Arlington Hts. for Mass. Burial was in the family lot.

Evangeline W. Blix
Formerly of AH

A funeral service for Evangeline Wanneboe Blix, 84, formerly of Arlington Hts., was held May 9 in Glueckert Funeral Home. Interment was in Memory Gardens cemetery. She died May 4 in the VA hospital of North Chicago. She served in the Navy during World War II and in recent years was an active volunteer at the Northwest Community Hospital Auxiliary. Widow of the late Oliver Blix, she is survived by children Brian, Bruce (Susanne), Mark, Beverly Chambers, and Jim (Ellen); and grandchildren Diana, Matthew, Michael, Stephen, David, and Adam.

Ralph C. Daniels, Jr.
Of Elk Grove Village

Ralph C. Daniels, Jr. of Elk Grove Village, died on May 6 at his home. He was born May 26, 1924 in Melrose Park. He loved his church and was extremely proud of his family. He loved working with his hands, including building his own house. His memorial service was Saturday, May 16, at Roselle Methodist Church in Roselle. Cremation was private in Countryside Crematory. He was the husband of Mildred; father of Ralph III (Joyce), Wayne (Sharon), David (Terry), Suzanne (Thomas) Maslanka, Patricia (Randy) Dalton and Christine (Bryan) Nobbe; grandfather of 13, great-grandfather of eight; brother of Barbara Brookshire. Countryside Funeral Home handled the funeral arrangements.
Sr. Carmelle Darr, SSSF Of St. Francis Comm.

A memorial mass for Sister Carmelle Darr, 82, of the School Sisters of St. Francis Community was celebrated May 11 in St. James Church, Arlington Hts. A funeral mass followed the next day at St. Joseph Convent Chapel, Milwaukee. Interment was in Mt. Olivet cemetery, Milwaukee. She was a resident of Des Plaines. Arrangements were by Glueckert Funeral Home Ltd. A native of Aurora, she died May 6 in Arlington Hts. In addition to the St. Francis Community, she is survived by sisters Ruth (Milton) Siegler, and Helen Weiler of Aurora; and brothers Robert (Mary Alice) Darr and Edward (Elaine) Darr.

Milan M. Gaza
Of Mt. Prospect

Milan M. Gaza, 75, of Mt. Prospect, died on May 10. His funeral service was on May 14 at Oehler Funeral Home in Des Plaines. He was the husband of Mary Jane; father of Robert (Kim) Gaza, Susan (David) Cochrane; Cathy (Tom) Tomasik and Steve (Erin) Gaza; grandfather of Josiah, Samuel, Gabriel, Becky, Ryan, Tyler, Lauren, T.J., Alex and Jennifer.

Doris Marie Holm
Formerly Of Des Plaines

Doris Marie Holm of Lawton, Michigan, passed away on Apr. 24, four days short of her 84th birthday. She was born in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She and her late husband, Ken, moved to Des Plaines in 1952. She worked for a local real estate company and the Des Plaines Journal before retirement. She is survived by her three children, Lynn (Holly) Holm, Mary (William II) Geldernick, Ken (Laura) Holm; five grandchildren, Elizabeth Chester, William Geldernick III, Derek Bettini, Kaj Holm and Maggie Holm; one great- grandchild. Friends and family will gather, Saturday, May 30 at 2 p.m. for a 3 p.m. memorial service at Oehler Funeral Home in Des Plaines.

Theresa D. Kelly
Of Elk Grove Village

Theresa D. Kelly, (nee Bator), 76, of Elk Grove Village, died on Apr. 29. Funeral services were held Monday, May 4, at Queen of the Rosary Church. Interment was private. She is survived by her husband, Henry Kelly; children, Robert Kosmicki, Barbara (James) Price, Terri (Michael) Nyl; her grandchildren, Sean Rosedale, Dawn (Jeremy) Morris, Lisa (Christopher) Buckley, Amber (Matthew) Rychetsky, Sally Kosmicki, Heather, Ryan Nyl; five great-grandchildren and brothers.

Carol Frances Klehr-Savoy
Formerly Of Mt. Prospect

Carol Frances Klehr-Savoy, 90, formerly of Mt. Prospect, died Saturday, Apr. 25 at Provena-St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin. She was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota on Jan. 15, 1919. Survivors include her children, Robert (Susanne) Klehr, Jr., Alan (Chris), Klehr, Christie (Frank) Rutigliano, Peter (Barbara) Klehr, Tod (Mary) Klehr and Laura (Michael) Barnett. She is also survived by her 15 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Robert Klehr, Sr. and second husband, Harold Savoy and granddaughter, Mary Klehr. A funeral Mass was held on Friday, May 1 at St. Thomas Becket Catholic Church in Mt. Prospect. She was buried at All Saints cemetery. Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee, handled funeral arrangements.

Lotus 'Lou' Niles
50-Year Des Plaines Resident

A memorial gathering for Lotus "Lou" Niles, 85, took place Friday, May 22, at G.L. Hills Funeral Home in Des Plaines. Rev. Dr. William G. Grice III conducted the service. He was an Army veteran, a member of the AT&T Pioneers, and active in local Boy Scout and Cub Scout groups. He was the husband of Carolyn "Kay"; father of Steven (Suzanne) and David (Lauren) and grandfather of Christopher, Sara and Elizabeth.

Fred Kazuo Ohi

A funeral service for Fred Kazuo Ohi of Arlington Hts. was held May 9 in Glueckert Funeral Home. Interment was private. He died May 5 in Church Creek Healthcare Center in Arlington Hts. He was a 25-year employee of Regensteiner Printing Co. and later worked as an estimating manager with Imperial Printing and TCR Graphics. He was a past vice president of the Estimating Club of the Printing Industry of Illinois Association. He was a past president of the Men's Club at the Arlington Senior Center. Surviving are his widow, Midori Ohi (nee Sawada); children Diane (Phil) Iwen, and Douglas (Christine), and grandchildren Max, Gigi, and Brady.

Joan M. Prejna
Formerly of Mt. Prospect

Joan M. Prejna, 83, of Twin Lakes, Wisc., formerly of Mt. Prospect, died May 19 at Burr Oak Manor in Genoa City, Wisc. She was born Aug. 9, 1925 in Chicago. She was the wife of Leonard Sr.; mother of Leonard Jr. (Patricia), Gary, Patricia (William) Schmidt and the late Judith Prejna; grandmother of seven, great-grandmother of 1. Funeral services were held Saturday, May 23 at Meadows Funeral Home and St. Emily Church for Mass. Interment was at Maryhill cemetery in Niles.

Irene J. Renner
Of Mt. Prospect

A funeral mass for Irene J. Renner, 87, long-time Mt. Prospect resident, was celebrated in St. James Church, Arlington Hts. on May 14. Interment was in Memory Gardens cemetery. Arrangements were by Friedrichs Funeral Home. Surviving are her husband, George B. Renner, children George B. Renner Jr., James (Judy), Debra (John) Baruch, and Janis (James) Kryzak; and grandchildren Lisa (James Colander, Daniel (Nicole) Renner, Matthew J. (Deirdre) Renner, Ann M. Renner, Kathryn Baruch, Laura Baruch, Mark Baruch, Elizabeth Baruch, and Zachary Kryzak.

Thomas E. Rogers
Of Elk Grove

A memorial service for Thomas E. Rogers, 74, of Elk Grove Village, was held May 3 in Christus Victor Lutheran Church. Interment was private. A native of Chicago, he died Apr. 23 in Holy Family Hospital, Des Plaines. He worked in the transportation field and was a member of its fraternity, Delta Nu Alpha. He was an active volunteer for many organizations in the Elk Grove Village area. Surviving are his widow, Margaret "Peggy"; children Rev. Thomas Rogers Jr. (Sarah Wilson) and Jennifer R. (Thomas) Anderson, and grandchildren Sophia, Grace and Nathaniel Rogers, and Madalyn and Gabrielle Anderson.

James Smrz
Formerly of Arlington Hts.

James Smrz, 87, formerly of Arlington Hts., died on May 11. Funeral services were May 14 at Glueckert Funeral Home in Arlington Hts. He was the husband of the late Charlotte; father of William (Diane) and the late James P. (Sharon); grandfather of James W. Smrz; uncle of many.

Richard P. Stover
World War II vet

A funeral service for Richard P. Stover, 98, of Park Ridge, a veteran of World War II service in Europe, was held May 9 in St. Luke's Lutheran Church. Interment was in Town of Maine cemetery. Arrangements were by Ryan-Parke Funeral Home, Park Ridge. A native of Chicago, he died May 1 in South Bend, Indiana. Surviving are his widow, Lucille M (nee Helwes); daughter Carol L. (Roderick) Powell; and grandchildren Katie C. and Kevin R. Powell. He was preceded in death by another daughter, Barbara.

Richard E. Trebat
Of Park Ridge

Richard E. Trebat, 94, of Park Ridge, died on Thursday, Apr. 23 in his home. He was born Jan. 30, 1915 in Chicago and before retirement was a men's clothing proprietor. He is survived by his granddaughter, Lana (Bob) Capozzoli; daughter, Barbara Whalen; grandchildren, Dixie (John) Von Helms and Richard Whalen, his great grandchildren and sisters Valerie Gillen and Adele (Bob) Beck. Mr. Trebat was preceded in death by his wife, Rose.

Richard J. Uricek
Of Arlington Hts.

A funeral mass for Richard J. Uricek, 68, of Arlington Hts., was celebrated May 11 in Our Lady of the Wayside Church. Interment was in Our Lady of Sorrows cemetery. A native of Chicago, he died May 7 in his home. He was a charter member of Dance World and was a ballroom, country-western, and swing dance instructor in High School District 214 Community Education and the Schaumburg and Palatine park districts. Surviving are his widow, Cherie (nee Hrvol), and godchildren Amanda and Daniel Wolfson.

Ruth Waite
Of Palatine

Ruth Waite, of Palatine, an elementary music supervisor in School Dist. 96 for over 28 years, died on May 15 in Glenview. She was also a tour guide in Downers Grove before retirement. She is survived by her husband, Clayton W. Waite; her children, Chris (Thresa) Waite, David (Lisa) Waite; her grandchildren and great-grandson. Funeral services were Saturday, May 23 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Later-Day Saints in Arlington Hts. Interment was in Memory Gardens.

Norman T. Webb
Chicago resident

A funeral service for Norman T. Webb, 90, of Chicago and Crystal Lake, was held in Mt. Prospect at Matz Funeral Home on May 23. Interment followed in Mt. Olive cemetery. He was a long-time member of Jefferson Park Lutheran Church in Chicago and most recently a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Crystal Lake. Surviving are his widow, Naomi (nee Peterson), children Paul (Francine) andMarilyn (Timothy) Strobert, five grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

Annette Weber
Of Arlington Hts.

Annette Weber, 91, (nee Dattilo), of Arlington Hts., died May 7 in her home. She was born Apr. 16, 1918 in Chicago. She worked for Unigard Insurance for many years. She was the late wife of Mathew L. Weber; mother of Robert (Debbie); grandmother of Sara (Gordan) Williamson, Todd and Amy Weber; sister of Helen Stardy, Donald (Lillian) and the late George Dattilo. Funeral services took place May 13 from Meadows Funeral Home to St. James Church. Interment at Memory Gardens cemetery, Arlington Hts.

Orris H. Wenzel
Of Rolling Meadows

Orris H. Wenzel, 90, of Rolling Meadows, died May 6 in her home. She was born Feb. 16, 1919 in Attica, Indiana. Ms. Wenzel was the wife of the late Stanley Moffet and Edward Wenzel; mother of Steven (Mary Ann) Moffet; grandmother of Jamie (Ben) Hopp and Steven (Lori) Moffet; great grandmother of Nathaniel and Aiden Hopp. Kayla, Billy and Camden Moffet. Services were held May 9 at Meadows Funeral Home in Rolling Meadows. Interment was in Ridgewood cemetery, Des Plaines.
