Ruth B. Snyder

Ruth B. (Bakke) Snyder, 91, of Naperville died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004, at Brighton Gardens in Wheaton. She was born Aug. 6, 1913, in Grand Forks, N.D.

Mrs. Snyder had been a longtime resident of the Seattle area prior to moving to Naperville to be near her son. She had been employed as a bookkeeper.

She is survived by her son, Robert (wife Karen) Snyder of Naperville; a daughter-in-law, Kristine Carnahan of Puyallup, Wash.; four grandchildren, Heather (husband Rico) Ancheta of Puyallup, Tania (husband James) Stori of Urbana, Mark (wife Holly) Snyder of Belvidere and Christiana Snyder of Naperville; two great-grandchildren; and many half-brothers and half-sisters.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Archie William Snyder, who had been employed at Seattle City Light Co.; a son, Douglas Snyder; her parents; and a sister, Violet Christianson.

A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 2, at Grace United Methodist Church, 300 E. Gartner Road, Naperville.

Interment will be private at Claquato cemetery in Chehalis, Wash.

Memorials in Mrs. Snyder's name may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.

Mildred B. Webber

Mildred B. Webber, 89, of Clinton, Iowa, died Friday, Dec. 10, 2004, at Tabor Hills Healthcare Facility in Naperville. She was born March 17, 1915, in Clinton. Clinton Chapel Snell-Zornig-Dennis A. Lemke Funeral Home and Crematory in Clinton is handling arrangements. Call (563) 242-0252.

John E. Gimpert

John Emmett Gimpert, 20, died suddenly Monday, Jan. 3, 2005, at Edward Hospital in Naperville. He was born Nov. 9, 1984, in Detroit.

He graduated from Naperville North High School, class of 2002. He enjoyed writing, presenting and reading poetry and writing prose.

He is survived by his parents, John and Sally Gimpert of Naperville; a sister, Katelyn Gimpert of Naperville; a brother, Sean Gimpert of Naperville; paternal grandparents, John and Evelyn Gimpert of Detroit; maternal grandfather, Joseph Mulleavy of Detroit; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Rose Mary Mulleavy.

Visitation will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville.

A private funeral service will be held Friday, Jan. 7, at the funeral home.

Interment will be private at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Serenity House, 891 S. Route 53, Addison, IL 60101.

Terrence E. Karamol

Terrence E. Karamol, 62, of Naperville died Thursday, Dec. 9, 2004, in Naperville. He was born April 26, 1942, in Toledo, Ohio. Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville, is handling arrangements. Call (630) 355-0213.

Clifford Lundeen Sr.

Clifford Lundeen Sr., 83, died Sunday, Dec. 5, 2004, at his home in Kerrville, Texas. He was born July 8, 1921, in Moline.

He graduated from Augustana College in Rock Island in 1968, and was an executive for International Harvester Co. in East Moline; Chicago; and Saltillo, Mexico, until his retirement in 1980. He was a member of the Mayflower Society and served on the board of Illini Hospital in Silvis.

He is survived by his wife of 16 years, Margie King Lundeen; a daughter, Andrea (husband Stanley) Schroder of Des Moines, Iowa; a son, Clifford Lundeen Jr. (wife Jo) of Naperville; six grandchildren, Gretchen (husband Brad) Hayes of Naperville, Kristina (husband Michael) McAninch of Naperville, Katherine (husband Michael) Young, Stephanie (husband Jim) Jacobson of Des Moines, Alexandra and Alastaire Lundeen of Naperville; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Dr. Robert Lundeen of Washington; and a sister, JoAnn Bratcher of Mackinaw.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Turpin Lundeen; a son, Matthew (Oksana); his parents, Frederick and Gladys Lundeen; and a brother, Richard Lundeen.

A memorial service was held in Kerrville, Texas, with interment in Moline.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 19, at Christ United Methodist Church in East Moline, with a visitation following.

Jeannie E. Palermo

Jeannie E. Palermo, 23, of Oswego died suddenly Monday, Dec. 27, 2004, in DeKalb County. She was born May 5, 1981, in Downers Grove.

She graduated from Waubonsie Valley High School in 1999 and from Northern Illinois University in 2003. She received her degrees in liberal arts communications and a bachelor of science in business administration. She will be remembered as a very loving and generous person. She had traveled around the world and loved spending time with her family and friends.

She is survived by her mother, Karen Beem of Oswego; her father, Vincent Palermo of Seattle; two sisters, Anne Palermo of Chicago and Jennifer Beem of Oswego; her paternal grandparents, Vincent and Ann Palermo of Naperville; her maternal grandmother, Dorothy Hassert of Lemont; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and too many friends to count.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Howard Hassert, and her maternal grandparents, Wayne and Dorothy Madden.

Visitation took place from 2 to 8 p.m. at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville.

Services will begin at 9:15 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 30, at the funeral home and proceed to St. Raphael Church, 1215 Modaff Road, Naperville, for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial.

Interment will take place at Clarendon Hills cemetery in Darien.

Phyllis C. Pickett

Phyllis C. Pickett, 76, a former resident of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2005, in Naperville. Cedar Memorial Funeral Home in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, is handling arrangements. Call (319) 393-8000.

Razi Sarlati

Razi Sarlati, 48, of Naperville died Saturday, Dec. 11, 2004, from cancer, surrounded by his family and loved ones. He was born April 19, 1956, in Tehran, Iran, to Homa and Hesam Sarlati.

Growing up, Razi lived in New York City and Washington, D.C. He graduated from Community School in Tehran in 1974. During his schooling at Lehigh University, he was embraced by his American family, John and Karen Simons and their daughters Cheri, Lisa and Kirsten. He was employed as a structural engineer with Bechtel Corp. for 16 years and published Feature Express with his wife for the past 10 years.

He is survived by his wife, Marion; two sons, Kameran and Bijan; a sister, Mina (husband Mohammad)of Toronto; a nephew, Nima; and two nieces, Sahba and Salma.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 13, followed by a service, at Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home, 516 S. Washington St., Naperville.

Interment will be private.

Memorials may be directed to the Kameran and Bijan educational foundation, care of Harris Bank Naperville.

William R. 'Bill' Miller

William R. "Bill" Miller, 70, a resident of Naperville for 29 years, formerly of Buffalo, N.Y., died Sunday, Dec. 12, 2004, at his home. He was born Nov. 13, 1934, in Fort Erie, Ontario, Canada.

Bill grew up in Buffalo, N.Y., was a University of Buffalo graduate and proudly served in the U.S. Army. He had a long and distinguished 30-plus-year career in insurance. He worked for Commercial Union Assurance Co., and later started up the Environmental Claims Department at Zurich Insurance. He spent his retirement years as the president of his homeowners association.

He was an outdoor enthusiast and enjoyed water skiing and snow skiing. He enjoyed baseball and football, but was most passionate about hockey. He also loved to golf and was enjoying his best year ever in 2004.

He is survived by his wife, Mary (Kerwin) Miller of Naperville, whom he married Nov. 4, 2000; three children, Michael (wife Dona) Miller of Bolingbrook, Daniel (wife Mary) Miller of Bartlett and Robin (husband Dale) Clark of Oswego; two stepchildren, Karen (husband David) Clatch of Glenview and Peggy (husband Matthew) Clatch of Long Grove; nine grandchildren, Lauren, Anna and Alison Miller, David, Danny, Madison, Reilly, Nicholas and Andrew Clatch; and many friends nationwide, including his golf and cardiac rehabilitation buddies.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Peggy (Callahan) Miller, in 1998, to whom he was married for 42 years; and his parents, William and Estelle (Rigby) Miller.

Visitation will take place from 3 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 15, at Friedrich-Jones Funeral Home, 44 S. Mill St., Naperville.

A service will begin at 9:15 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 16, at the funeral home and will proceed to a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial at St. Margaret Mary Church, 1450 Green Trails Road, Naperville.

Interment will follow at SS Peter and Paul cemetery in Naperville.

Yolanda (Bacci) Bianucci

Yolanda (Bacci) Bianucci, a former Naperville resident, and wife of the late Jack Bianucci, passed away Saturday, Dec. 4, 2004.

Born in 1909, and raised in Chicago, she was a graduate of the Art Institute of Chicago. In 1935, she married the late Frank K. Adams of Northbrook, who passed away in 1956. In 1959, she married Jack Bianucci and moved to Naperville, where she resided until his death in 1979.

She is survived by her daughters, Adele Adams of Hull, Mass., and Jeannie (Tom) Hess of Del Mar, Calif.; and a son, Ken (Scottie) Adams of Lakeville, Minn. She has 10 grandchildren.

A memorial service and interment are being planned for June 2005 at Mount Carmel cemetery in Hillside.

Mrs. Bianucci had been a victim of Alzheimer's disease for the past 23 years, residing at Parkway Nursing Home in Enfield, Conn.

Browne Memorial Funeral Chapels, 43 Shaker Road, Enfield, is in charge of arrangements.

Andrew Isaac Nussbaum

Andrew Isaac Nussbaum, the infant son of Andrew and Wendy Nussbaum of Naperville, was born and died Saturday, Dec. 18, 2004, at Edward Hospital in Naperville.

He is survived by his parents; his three sisters, Amy, Jessica and Carly; his two brothers, Joseph and Christian; his paternal grandmother, Barbara (Wayne) King; his maternal great-grandparents, Lloyd and Rowena Rush; his great-aunt, Laurel Rush; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Jack Nussbaum; his maternal grandparents, Henry and Rowena Margosian; and his great-aunt, Mary Ellen Nussbaum.

Services and interment were held privately at Naperville cemetery.

Brian R. Schultz

Brian R. Schultz, 28, of Naperville died Saturday, Jan. 1, 2005, in Chicago. He was born June 15, 1976, in Colorado Springs, Colo.

He is survived by his parents, Jan and Peggy Schultz; a brother, Peter; a sister, Claire; his grandparents, Shirley Hennebry and Anneliese Schultz; aunts and uncles, Andy (wife Jeannie) Schultz, Dan (wife Pam) Hennebry and Bridget Hennebry; and cousins, Jennifer and Jason Schultz and Katie and Andy Hennebry.

Visitation will be from 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, at Hallowell and James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. A funeral Mass will take place at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 6, at St. Francis Xavier Church, Spring and Ogden avenues, La Grange. Interment will be at Queen of Heaven cemetery.

Christopher J. 'Buck' Bourgoine

Christopher J. "Buck" Bourgoine, 26, of Naperville passed away suddenly Friday, Dec. 10, 2004.

He was employed by Gaffney PMI as a heavy-equipment operator for Local #196. He enjoyed going to the drag strip, riding his motorcycle, playing with his son, nicknamed "Bubby," and spending weekends with family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Misty; his son, Korte Ashton; his mother, Sandra (husband Mark Warner) Bourgoine; two brothers, Mike (wife Crystal) Bourgoine and Tim (wife Jamie) Bourgoine; a sister, Stacy (husband Adrian) Caballero; eight nieces and nephews, Nate, Brett, Justin, Cameron, Alyssa, Anjelle, Taylor and Jaydon; grandparents, John and Janice Hickman, his mother-in-law, Kory Keller; a sister-in-law, Jaclyn Miller; and many aunts, uncles, friends and family.

Visitation will be at 4 to 8 p.m. Monday, Dec. 13, at Dieterle Memorial Home, at 1120 S. Route 25 in Montgomery. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, at the memorial home with the Rev. Bob Kasperson officiating. Burial will follow at Lincoln Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be directed to Misty and Korte Bourgoine.

Romualdo L. 'Romy' Domingo

Romualdo L. "Romy" Domingo, 98, of Naperville and formerly of Sebring, Fla., died Sunday, Dec. 19, at Community Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Naperville. He was born Feb. 2, 1906, in the Philippines. Hultgren Funeral Home, 304 N. Main St., Wheaton, is handling arrangements. Call (630) 668-0027.

Robert A. Glowinski

Robert A. Glowinski, 65, of Crest Hill died Monday, Dec. 13, 2004, at Joliet Area Community Hospice in Joliet. Beidelman-Kunsch Funeral Home, 24021 W. Royal Worlington Drive, Naperville, is handling arrangements. Call (630) 922-9630.

Marian W. Hankinson

Marian W. Hankinson, 92, of Aurora passed away Thursday, Dec. 13, 2004, at her home. She was born Oct. 17, 1912, in England, the daughter of Wilfred and Mary Wakefield.

Marian was united in marriage to Mr. Harry Jacob Hankinson in May 1934 in Yorkville, and they spent many years together until his passing. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother who will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.

Marian was a member of Universal Unitarian Church in Naperville. She came from England when she was 8 years old and then graduated from Yorkville High School in Yorkville. Before her marriage, Marian was a nurse at Copley Memorial Hospital in Aurora. This was where she met her husband, Harry, who was one of her patients. Until her retirement she was employed by Wrigley Gum in Naperville.

She is survived by her children, David (Judy) Hankinson of Naperville, Barbara (Terry) Lucas of Bristol and Elizabeth W. Hankinson of St. Louis, Mo.; seven grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sisters, Edith Warren and Winifred Chord; and her brothers, Bill and Frank Wakefield.

A memorial service will be held after the holidays.
