CARBONDALE -- Anna K. Francis, 78, died at 8:24 p.m. Tuesday, July 20, 2004, in Memorial Hospital of Carbondale. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois. Arrangements are incomplete at Huffman-Harker Funeral Home.

Lewis Hale
WOLF LAKE -- Lewis "Bill" Hale, 93, formerly of Wolf Lake, died Wednesday, July 21, 2004, in Three Rivesr Health Care Center in Poplar Bluff, Mo. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna, with the Rev. John Prather officiating. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Wolf Lake Methodist Church.

Naomi Lloyd
BENTON -- Naomi Elizabeth Lloyd, 80, of Benton, formerly of Eldorado, died at 8:35 p.m. Tuesday, July 20, 2004, in Carrier Mills Nursing Home. Services will be at 1 p.m. Friday in Wolf Creek Cemetery, with Herb Bushe officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Watson Funeral Home in Eldorado.

William George
JOHNSON COUNTY -- William Eugene "Bill" George, 78, died Friday, July 9, 2004, at home. Services were July 14 in Crestlawn Cemetery in Vero Beach, Fla. A memorial service was July 14 in the First United Methodist Church in Vero Beach. Strunk Funeral Home in Vero Beach was in charge of arrangements.

MARION -- Tommy Joe Wristen, 51, died at 3:55 a.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2004, in Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Coal Bank Springs Cemetery, with Pastor Gaylon Parks officiating. Mitchell-Hughes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

SPARTA -- William Ralph York, 79, died Tuesday, July 20, 2004, at home. Arrangements are incomplete at McDaniel Funeral Home.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in Pettett Funeral Home in Murphysboro, with burial in Pleasant Grove Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Pettett Funeral Home in Murphysboro. Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Anna is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church in Murphysboro or Hospice of Southern Illinois.

SPARTA -- BeBe Joiner, 78, died Tuesday, July 20, 2004, at Touthette Regional Hospital in Centerville. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Wilson's Funeral Home in Sparta, with the Rev. Wilbur M. Franklin officiating. Burial will be in Tilden City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 7:30 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Eastern Star services will be at 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

ROYALTON -- Dorothy Louise Mikel, 72, died at 1:37 p.m. Wednesday, July 21, 2004, in St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. Arrangements are incomplete at Vantrease Funeral Home in Zeigler.

CHESTER -- Katherine M. Evans, 61, died Tuesday, July 20, 2004, in Missouri Baptist Hospital in St. Louis. Arrangements are incomplete at Schroeder-McClure Funeral Home.

Morris E. 'Mo' Feutz, Jr.
SOUTHERN ILLINOIS -- Morris E. "Mo" Feutz, Jr., died at 3:15 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2002, in his residence in Olney. Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 14, at Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney. Larry Weber, Minister, will officiate. Burial will be in Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Full military rites will be conducted. Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Southeastern Illinois. He was born July 25, 1924, in Chicago, to Morris E. Sr. and Audra (Wilson) Feutz. He married Norma Jean Groff on Dec. 21, 1946, and she preceded him in death on Jan. 7, 2002. He was a pressman at the Olney Daily Mail, retired after 32 years. He was a veteran of U. S. Army Air Corps, serving during World War II. He was a member of the American Legion and was past commander and a member of 40 and 8, the Noble Masonic Lodge, Eastern Star, Olney Elks and the Petroleum Club, and worked with Babe Ruth Baseball in Noble. He is survived by one son, Morry Feutz and his wife Denise of Olney; two daughters, Pam Feutz of Olney and Penni Smith and her husband Roger of Benton; two sisters-in-law, Sally Hostert of Mokena and Carrie Bail of Effingham; two brothers-in-law, Loy Groff and his wife Helen of Lawrenceville and Jack Groff and his wife Judy of Evansville, Ind. ; six grandchildren, Emily, Jordan and Hannah Feutz and Aubrey, Brett and Bart Smith; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and one brother, John.

Melvin H. McCaslin
ELKVILLE -- Melvin H. McCaslin, 93, of Arnold, Mo., formerly of Elkville, passed away at 6:03 p.m., Monday, Dec. 9, 2002, at St. Anthony's Medical Center in St. Louis, Mo. Melvin was a retired mechanic with the Elverado School District and had also worked at Tuck Tape of Carbondale and Truex Trarer Coal Mine for fifteen years. He was a member of Elkville Methodist Church. He was a U. S. Army veteran of World War II. He was born June 8, 1909, at Ramsey, the son of Bert H. and Berrie Ellen (Hicks) McCaslin. He married Maxine (Burns) Smith on July 5, 1941, at Cape Girardeau, Mo., and she preceded him in death on April 12, 1994. He is survived by one daughter, Bonnie McClintock of Arnold, Mo. ; grandchildren, Barry McClintock, Jason McClintock, Dennis McCaslin, Steven McCaslin, Kevin McCaslin, Cynthia Watson, Claudia Winstanley; and several great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son, Melvin B. J. McCaslin, and two sisters. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12, 2002, at Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin, with Bro. Jerry Aken officiating. Friends may call from 12 to 1 p.m. Thursday at the Searby Funeral Home in Du Quoin. Interment will be in the Elkville Cemetery in Elkville. Friends may make memorials to the American Heart Fund or American Lung Association and will be accepted at the funeral home. Military graveside rites will be conducted by Du Quoin VFW Post 513.
