Nathan "Nate" Stockl
Nathan "Nate" Stockl, 20, of St. Charles, died Monday, April 30, 2001 in Good Samaritan Hospital, Downers Grove.
He was born Sept. 11, 1980 in Elgin, the son of John and Monica Stockl.
Nate was a 1998 graduate of St. Charles High School and was employed by Lafox Oil and Exchange in South Elgin.
Survivors include his parents; a sister, Leslie; his maternal grandparents, Harold and Marion Johnson of Elgin; his paternal grandmother, Mary Stockl of Elgin; several aunts, uncles and cousins; and a special friend, Mary.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, John Stockl.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Thursday, May 3 at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 E. Main St., St. Charles. Interment is private.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.

Hazel M. Puffpaff
Hazel M. Puffpaff, 89 of Hot Springs Villiage, AR, former many year resident of Sleepy Hollow, died Tuesday, April 27, 2004 at the St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Hot Springs, AR. She was born in Dundee on March 3, 1915.
She was the daughter of Lawrence and Amy (nee Patterson) Hansen. Mrs. Puffpaff was a resident of Hot Springs Villiage, AR. for over 20 years. She was a former employee of the Elgin National Watch Company and Harig Manufacturing in Elgin. She was a former member of the First Congregational Church of West Dundee.
She is survived by her nephew, Phillip Raywood of Buffalo Grove; and her nieces, Vikki (Stan Orlowski) Raywood of Hampshire and Jannette (Eric) Olsen of White River Junction, Vermont. Cousins and friends also survive.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lawrence E. Puffpaff on October 11, 1986; her sisters, Florence Raywood and Dorothy Moulton. Family and friends will meet for graveside services on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the River Valley Memorial Gardens, West Dundee, with the Rev. Pamela F. Pendexter, Pastor officiating. Memorials may be made to the First Congregational Church of West Dundee. The Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee is in charge of arrangments.

Ted A. Tolman
Ted A. Tolman, 43, of Carpentersville passed away Thursday, April 29, 2004 in Provena St. Joseph Hospital. He was born April 8, 1961 in San Gabriel, California, the son of Alex and Norma Tolman. He had been a resident of Schaumburg and Carpentersville for the past 8 years. He had been employed by Conseco. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints in Elgin.
Surviving are his wife, Kristine; three daughters, Erin, Aimee and Libby; a son, Schuyler; his father of Elk Ridge, Utah; two sisters, Leslee (David) Preece of Elk Ridge, Utah and Talei (Jeff) Lawson of Spanish Fork, Utah; and three brothers, Rick (Linda) Tolman of Ballwin, MO, Jon (Lisa) Tolman of Evanston, Wyoming and Jim (Bergit) of Connecticut.
He was preceded in death by his mother.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 12 Noon in The Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints, 1250 Parkview Dr., Elgin with Bishop Van T. Whitsett officiating. Burial will be in Salem cemetery on Saturday, May 8 in Salem, Utah. Visitation will be on Sunday, May 2, 2004 in the Laird Funeral Home, West Dundee, 120 South Third St/ (corner of Third and Oregon St.'s), West Dundee from 6 to 8 PM and then on Monday at the church from 11 AM until time of service.

Arthur W. Waterman
Arthur W. Waterman, 88, 0f Elgin, IL passed away Thursday, April 28, 2004 in the Rosewood Care Center, Elgin. He was born on May 25, 1915 in Bartlett, IL and was the son of Ben and Emma Krunnfusz Waterman. Resident of Elgin for most of his life. Art had owned and operated an Advertising and Promotions company prior to his retirement.
Member of the Coroner Stone Methodist Church of Plato Center, member of the Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge #799 and member of the Elgin Golden "K" Kiwanis Club.
Survivors include his sister, Ariel D. Bruhn of Elgin; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Carolyn.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Dundee Twp. East cemetery, East Dundee, with Rev. Meyers officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church. Arrangements are with the WAIT ROSS ALLANSON FUNERAL AND CREMATION SERVICES, INC., ELGIN AND ALGONQUIN (847)742-2100)

Sue Cerasa
Sue Cerasa, 77, of Elgin passed away Friday, April 29, 2005 in Geneva, IL. She was born on November 7, 1927 in Paducah, KY and was the daughter of Edward and Geneva Wilson. Sue had worked for the A&P; Food Stores for 25 years, and then she was a Dean's Assistant at Larkin High School in Elgin for 10 years prior to her retirement. Sue was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be dearly missed.
Survivors include three children, Richard (Marsha) Chandler of TX, Polly (George) Bradshaw of Winfield, IL, Karen (Rosario) Sparacio of Geneva, IL; her niece, Linda Gavlin; 10 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charles Cerasa in 2002; and her sister, Carolyn Viehl.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 3, 2005 at 10 AM in the Christ Community Church, St. Charles, IL. Burial will follow in River Valley Memorial Gardens, West Dundee. Visitation will be held on Monday from 4:30 to 8:30 PM in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin. Memorials may be made to Provena St. Joseph Hospital Hospice or Fox Valley Hospice.

Lydia W DoLydia W. Dornbush
Lydia W. Dornbush, 99, of Hampshire, formerly of Wonder Lake, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2005 at Manor Care in Elgin, two days short of her 100th birthday. She was born May 2, 1905 in Rice Lake, Wisconsin, the daughter of David and Louise (Wittwer) Kline. Lydia married Edwin F. Dornbush on March 22, 1930 in South Bend, Indiana. Mrs. Dornbush was a longtime registered nurse having graduated in 1925 from the Victory Memorial School of Nursing in Waukegan. Her career spanned over 40 years beginning at Victory Memorial where she was in charge of the operating room. Following a break to raise her family, she worked for Northwest Community Hospital, in private practice for Dr. James Harris in Richmond, and at the Sunset Manor and Valley Hi Nursing Centers in Woodstock.
Lydia was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother whose Christian faith was an example to her family. She was a charter member of the Wonder Lake Bible Church.
Surviving are her daughter, Joan Allen of Hampshire; nine grandchildren, Robert Dornbush of Albion, MI, Kathy Westgate of Newaygo, MI, Dana Benton of Grand Rapids, MN, Shelly Wettstein of Grant, MI, Lori Peters of McHenry, Sharon Suddeth, Neener Allen and Jill Allen all of Hampshire, and Julie Carr of Lake Zurich; 24 great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren; and her 104 year old sister, Faith Reider of Madison, WI.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edwin in 1966; her son, Clayton Dornbush in 1999; and her grandson, David Allen in 1988.
Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at the Fredrick Funeral Home, 284 Park St., Hampshire. Burial will be in McHenry County Memorial Park in Woodstock.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials in her name may be directed to the family. For information call 847-683-2711.

Sanjuana Rios
Sanjuana Rios, 51, of Elgin passed away Sunday, May 1, 2005 in her home. She was born April 29, 1954 in Raymondville, Texas. She was the daughter of Florencio and Maria Jiminez.
Survivors include her mother, Maria Vitela of Elgin; sons, William (Rebecca) Rios of Huntley, Homero Reyes of Elgin and Bobby (Kristen) Gutierrez of Palatine; sisters, Paulita Salinas and Petra (Jose) Ontiveros; brothers, Florencio and James Jiminez; and five grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Funeral services will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, May 4, 2005 in the Wait Ross Allanson Funeral & Cremation Services Chapel, 51 Center St., Elgin. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday form 4 to 8 PM in the chapel.

Esperanza Lara
Esperanza Lara, 82, passed away on Tuesday May 1, 2001 at Sherman Hospital. Born February 19, 1919 to Alejandro Vidal and Tedodora (Cisneros) Vidal.
Survivors include: Children: Manuel Lara (Magdalana) of Elgin; Conscepcion Ochoa (Porforio) of Elgin; Rosalba Silva (Roberto) of Lake in the Hills; Jose L. Lara of Elgin; 19 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two sisters of Mexico; Guadalupe Videl; Aurora Rodriquez de Mier.
preceded in death by parents and two brothers.
Funeral will take place Friday may 4, 2001, at 11:00A.M. Mass at St. Joseph Church, Fr. Hector Morreno will officiate. Burial will be at Mt. Hope cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday May 3, 2001, 5-8P.M. at O'Connor & Hoeimer, 364 Division St., Elgin, 847-741-1400.

Albert Medina
Albert Medina, 74, of Carpentersville died Saturday, April 28, 2001 in Waycross, Ga.
He was born in Chicago on July 29, 1926, the son of Albert and Frances (Garcia) Medina.
He was a 32 year resident of the area. A member of the St. Monica Church, a 35 year employee of Chicago Rawhide as a Tool & Die maker, retiring in 1989. He was a WWII Army Veteran, a former 31 year member of the Dundee American Legion Post #0679 and an avid golfer. A former Ranger at the Wing Park Golf Course and a former School Bus Driver for District 300.
Survivors include a daughter, Patricia (Steve) Lytle of Joliet; two sons, Daniel (Antoinette) of Carpentersville and Russell (Rosemarie) of Elgin; nine grandchildren; his son-in-law, Steven Boettger of Kirkland; two sisters, Adelita Granado and Josephine Aragon; and three brothers, Louis, Jose and Ernest.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Genevieve; his wife, Mary Louise; two brothers, Lucas and Horacio; and a daughter, Robin Boettger.
Prayers will be 9:15 a.m., Friday in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee to St. Monica's Church in Carpentersville for 10 a.m. Mass. Burial will follow in the Dundee Township East cemetery, East Dundee.
Visitation will be 3-9 p.m., Thursday in the funeral home.

Marion Stensrud
Marion Stensrud, age 85, of St. Charles, IL, formerly of Elgin, IL died Tuesday, May 1, 2001 at Delnor Community Hospital, Geneva, IL.
She was born Nov. 5, 1915 in Chicago, IL.
Miss Stensrud was a former employee of the Elgin Watch Factory and had been an operator for the telephone company for many years. She had also been employed by the Elgin State Hospital.
Survivors include one sister, Alpha Beth Einersen of Glen Ellyn; one sister-in-law, Darlene Stensrud of Elgin; one brother-in-law, Ted Lind of Elgin and several nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grand nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Alvina Stensrud; two brothers, Banner and John Stensrud and one sister, Esther Lind.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, May 5, 2001 at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 E. Main Street, St. Charles. Rev. Scott Ardavanis will officiate. Burial will be in Bluff City cemetery, Elgin. Visitation will be 12 noon until the funeral hour on Saturday. Contributions may be made to the Moody Bible Institute.

William D. Greenlee
William D. Greenlee, 67, of Poplar Grove, IL, formerly of Elgin and Streamwood, passed away May 1, 2004 in his home, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on November 9, 1936 in Wyatt, MO, the son of Welton and Iva Greenlee. William had worked as an Operating Engineer for many years prior to his retirement, with Local Union #150. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge #117.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia, whom he married on June 9, 1956; two children, Jack (Janet) Greenlee of Elgin, IL and Elaine Struck of Janesville, WI; five grandchildren, William, Matthew, Kelly Greenlee and Joshua and Tiffany Struck; three brothers, Curtis, Paul and Jerry Greenlee; two sisters, Marie and Wanda; and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday at 10:30 AM in the Highland Gardens cemetery, Belvidere, IL with Rev. William Kerr officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4 to 8 PM in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin.
