Beryl W. "Mark" Markwell
Beryl W. "Mark" Markwell, age 74 of Schaumburg. Beloved husband of the late Ellen Ann Markwell, nee Ladwig. Loving father of Mark (MaryBeth) Markwell, Betsy (Jim) Estep and the late Michael Markwell. Cherished grandfather of Tim, Meghan Markwell, Kaitlyn, Jimmy and Ryan Estep. Dear son of the late Wallace Wayne and Helen Elizabeth, nee Pim. Brother-in-law of Fern Markwell. Brother of Betty Herdliska, the late Charles Pim Markwell, three infant sisters and two infant brothers. Dear uncle of Kima Sullinger, Pima Battershell, Linda Madeson, Debbie Bolton, Gary and Bill Herdliska.
"Mark" was a Navy corpsman from 1946-1950. He volunteered his time greatly with the Cub Scouts, Y.M.C.A. and a former precinct captain for the Republican party.
Visitation Friday 9:00 a.m. to time of Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 1001 E. Schaumburg Rd., Schaumburg. Interment Prairie Home cemetery, Waukesha, WI. Grace J. Marvan
Grace J. Marvan, age 96, lived all her life in Prairie Du Chien, WI with the exception of four years in South Elgin.
She was the wife of the late James C.; mother of James P. (late Francine) and Jerome "J" (late Anita); grandmother of Karen, Glen, and Douglas; great-grandmother of Kendra and Tegan O'Connor, and Mike, Matthew, and Andrew Marvan.
Service and burial in Prairie Du Chien, WI. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Gabriel's Parish, Prairie Du Chien, WI.

Joyce May Sholes
Joyce May Sholes, 84, of Elgin, died Thursday, May 29 at Sherman West Court. The daughter of Oral D. and Lucy (Volkening) Sholes, she had lived in Elgin for almost all of her life. She worked for many years at Anderson Insurance Company and then worked for the Elgin State Hospital until her retirement. She was an avid gardener, a passionate reader, and a faithful friend to her animals.
She is survived by nieces, Cathy Yant, Cynthia Thompson, Janine (Reid) Lewis, Melinda Sleight, Dianne (Mike) Dudek; nephews Steve Mills, Larry Mills, John Van Vleet, Gordon (Joyce) Van Vleet; and many great-nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Ernest C. Sholes; and two sisters, Betty Mills and Leone Van Vleet.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 21 at Madison Funeral Home.

Margaret V. Blank
Margaret V. Blank, 87, of Elgin passed away Thursday, June 17, 2004 in Provena St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin. She was born on October 18, 1916 in Elgin and was the daughter of Elmer and Martha Fierke. Throughout her life, Margaret enjoyed spending time with her family. She was an avid bowler and bingo player, and will be dearly missed.
She was a member of St. Laurence Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband, Lloyd Blank, whom she married on July 3, 1937; two children, Richard (Sandee) Blank of Elgin and Shirley Belford of Florida; three grandchildren, Kenneth (Debi) Blank, Patricia (Bradley) Weiss and Steven Belford; three great-grandchildren, Whitney and Devin Weiss and Kirk Blank; two sisters, Dorothy Goreninger of Crystal Lake, IL and Leona Vincore of Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son in infancy; one grandson, Michael Belford; one brother, Robert Fierke.
Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, June 21, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. in the St. Laurence Catholic Church, Jewett and Standish St., Elgin with Rev. Joseph F. Kulak officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Hope cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday in the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. Wait Ross Allanson Funeral and Cremation Services, Elgin is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, Greater Chicago Chapter, 4709 Gold Rd., Suite 1015, Skokie, IL 60076.

Deanne Boiley
Memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, June 19, 2004 at the First United Methodist Church in Elgin, IL for Deanne (Mrs. Robert) Boiley who passed away January 30, 2004 in Venice, FL.
Deanne (Maricle) Boiley was born in Wells, MN August 18, 1923. Her sister is Jo (Ken) Iverson who resides in Colfax, WI.
Mrs. Boiley was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, William who was killed in Italy in 1943.
Deanne graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1946, taught school in Minneapolis during 1946-47. She married Robert T. Boiley on June 24, 1947. They moved to Lansing, MI where Deanne continued her teaching career. When Bob entered Dental School in Northwestern, Deanne taught in Highland Park, IL. She retired from teaching elementary school in 1952 when Bob and Deanne started their family.
Son Craig was born in 1952 followed by daughter Rebecca Jo in 1954. The family resided in Elgin, IL until 1994. Bob retired from his dental practice and they moved to Venice, FL.
While living in Elgin, Deanne was very active with the Junior Service Board and other charitable organizations. When she wasn't playing bridge, playing golf at Elgin Country Club, or playing tennis, she stayed active in the lives of her children and two grandchildren, Kari and Zachary Schuttler.
Always wanting to help friends and neighbors, she would be attentive to the needs of others. She was attentive and details and whether it was entertaining at her home, sewing beautiful outfits for the family members and friends and lately painting articles of clothing for a hobby.
Deanne is survived by her husband of 56 years; son, Craig (Jorja); daughter, Becky; two grandchildren, Kari and Zachary; one great-grandchild, Jaden; sister, Jo (Ken) Iverson; brother-in-law, Clarence (Connie) Boiley; and a number of nieces and extended family.
The family requests in lieu of flowers, that memorials can be sent in Deanne's name to Sloan Kettering Cancer Research Center in New York Center.

Herbert E. Sevall
Herbert E. Sevall, 93, of Beloit, WI died Thursday, June 17, 2004 in Beloit Memorial Hospital. He was born September 30, 1910 in Sweden, the son of Erust and Bertha (Andersson) Sevall. He married Louise E. Fehrmann in Elgin, Illinois. He was a resident of Beloit from 1994 to the present. Herbert was a former resident of Anthers, Oklahoma and Elgin, Illinois. he was employed as a civil engineer with the Illinois Division of Highways. He graduated from the University of Minnesota in 1936 as a chemical engineer and Geneva, IL High School. He became a Registered Professional Engineer in 1964. He was a Veteran of W.W.II, serving in the U.S. Army as a Lt. Col. and a member of the U.S. Army Reserve from 1946-1969.
He was a member of Rock Valley Chapel, American Chemical Society, Toastmaster International, Reserve Officers Association, and the Men's Garden Club in Elgin. He was an avid fisherman and vegetable gardener.
Survivors include his wife, Louise; two sons, Jon (Judy) of Beloit, WI and Don (Donna) of Austin, TX; a sister, Nancy Pahaly of Clearwater, FL; a brother, Glen (Phyllis) of Lake Geneva, WI; two grandchildren, Catheryn (Bruce) Graves and Deborah (Brian) Wells of Wheaton, IL; three great-grandchildren, Andrew, Rachael, and Abigail Wells; several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by three sisters, Astrid, Helen, and Ruth; two brothers, Art and Arnie.
Memorial services at 3:00 p.m., Sunday, June 20, 2004 in Rock Valley Chapel, 2780 Shopiere Road, Beloit. Military Honors at 10:30 a.m., Monday, June 21, 2004 in Floral Lawns Memorial Park. Visitation at the church from 1:30 p.m. to service time Sunday. Arrangements by Rosman, Uehling, Kinzer Funeral Home, 1125 Cranston Road. Memorials to World Partners Mission in care of the family.

Eloise "Dotty" Tinberg
Eloise "Dotty" Tinberg, 77, of Wonder Lake died Friday, June 18, 2004 at her home in Wonder Lake. She was born in Plato Center on May 8, 1927 to Edward Clinton and Clara May (Elliot) McCloud. She married Francis P. Yost, after his death she married Harry Tinberg, who also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Tinberg was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Woodstock. She was a volunteer for Meals-on-Wheels and also at the Bethesda Thrift Shop. She was an avid bird lover, she enjoyed sewing and making all kinds of craft items. Mostly, she was known as a loving care giver to her family.
She is survived by two sons, Richard (Deborah) Yost of Antioch and Ronald Yost of Darien, Wis.; two daughters, Sharon (LeRoy) Denman of Lindenhurst and Connie (Donald) Olson of Wonder Lake; a brother, Warren McCloud of Wonder Lake; a sister, Helen Koch of Wonder Lake; three grandchildren, Daniel Yost of Crystal Lake, Kristen Matuzsek of Sussex, Wis and Amy Olson of Wonder Lake; two step children, Warren (Mary) Tinberg of Kentucky and Vernon (Nancy) Tinberg of Woodstock; and a granddaughter, Margaret Tinberg of Woodstock.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and two husbands; and a brother, Harry McCloud.
Visitation for Mrs. Tinberg will be on Monday, June 21, 2004 from 4 to 8 PM at the Schneider, Leucht, Merwin & Cooney Funeral Home, 1211 N. Seminary Ave., Woodstock. The funeral service will be on Tuesday, June 22, 2004 at 10 AM at St. John's Lutheran Church in Woodstock. Burial will be at Fox Lake cemetery in Lake Villa Township.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her name to St. John's Lutheran Church, 401 St. Johns Rd., Woodstock, IL, 60098 or to Hospice of Northeastern Illinois, 410 S. Hager Avenue, Barrington, IL, 60010-4196.

Cecelia A. Wiese
Cecelia A. Wiese, 90, of Elgin went to be with her lord on Thursday, June 17, 2004 at Sherman West Court, Elgin. She was born August 16, 1913 in Elgin the daughter of Joseph and Minnie Lustof Lehmann. She had been a resident of Elgin all of her life.
She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Elgin. She had been a Girl Scout Leader, Cub Scout Leader, a former member of the PTA at Gifford School and loved ceramics and was a member of Cere-d'Arts.
Surviving are her loving daughters, Marilyn McArthur of Huntley and Marlene (William) Holle of Marengo; seven grandchildren, Jacob (Mary) Bons of Elk Grove Village, Ronald (Caren) Bons of Washington, Sgt. Joseph (Jean) Bons stationed in Iraq, Kenneth (Tanya) Bons of Island Lake, Julie (David) Garret of Burlington, Jon (Lisa) Holle of IA and Sarah (Brett) Gieseke of Marengo; 20 great grandchildren and five sisters.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Martin "Marty" Wiese; one brother, Joseph Lehmann; four sisters, Rosemary Stevens and three in infancy; granddaughter, Shiela Bons; and great granddaughter, Amy Bons; son-in-law, Floyd McArthur.
A service celebrating her life will be Monday, June 21, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church, Elgin with Rev. Herman Christiansen officiating. Burial will be in Lakewood Memorial Park, Elgin. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Wait Ross Allanson Funeral & Cremation Services, Elgin and Monday from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services in the church.

Josefa Ayala
Josefa Ayala, 66, of Elgin passed away Saturday, June 16, 2001.
She was born in Durango, Mexico.
Funeral Mass will be 1 p.m. in StJoseph Catholic Church, Elgin. Burial will be in Bluff City cemetery, Elgin.
Visitation will be Thursday from10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at O'Connor and Homeier Funeral Home, Elgin.

Minerva Legel
Minerva Legel, 94, of Algonquin, died Sunday, June 17, 2001 in her daughter's home in Algonquin.
She was born Aug. 12, 1906 in Roanoke, Ill., the daughter of William and Persida (nee Steffen) Rocke.
She had been a homemaker and was a member of the Congregational Church of Algonquin.
Survivors include her son, Dr. Steve (Carol) Legel of Bartlett; her daughter, Sandra (Oliver) Lindgren of Algonquin; her sister, Alvina (Aquilla) Fehr of Eureka; four grandchildren, Eric Lindgren, Erika Kettner, Jason Legel and Justin Legel; and five great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John P. Legel, whom she married on March 6, 1935 and who preceded her on April 10, 1990; two brothers, Leroy and Elmer Rocke; five sisters, Lillian Gudeman, Amy Stoller, Leona Menton, Linda Fehr,Merna Weyeneth; and a granddaughter, Dori Lindgren.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Thursday, June 21, 2001 in Congregational Church of Algonquin, the Rev. Richard Feyen officiating. Burial will be in River Valley Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Thursday in the Wait Ross Allanson Algonquin Chapel.
Memorials may be made to Congregational Church of Algonquin or to Hospice of Northeastern Illinois.

Raymond W. Schmidgall
Raymond W. Schmidgall, age 71, of Elgin passed away Saturday, June 16, 2001 in Heritage Manor, Elgin.
He was born Jan. 31, 1930 in Elgin, the son of Chris and Lillian (nee Koerner) Schmidgall.
He was a graduate of Elgin High School Class of 1950 and had been a resident of the Elgin area all of his life. He had been employed by Elgin Metal Casket Co., Fox Valley Manufacturing and then Wal-Mart in East Dundee before retiring. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953 where he received the Korea Service Medal, United Nations Service Medal and the Meritorouis Unit Citation.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Elgin, an active Life member of V.F.W. Post 1307 of Elgin and was a member of the American Legion Post 57 of Elgin. He bowled at Bowl-Way Lanes in Elgin for many years. He called Bingo on Tuesday Night with the V.F.W and also helped with Bingo on Friday Night with the American Legion. He loved to gofishing on the charter boats on LakeMichigan.
Survivors include his wife, Delores Wollenweber Schmidgall, whom he married on April 28, 1956; two daughters, Barbara (Bob) Lovell of South Elgin and Connie (Robert Rinehardt of Devils Lake, N.D.; five grandchildren, Clifton Jones, Nina Jones and Christina Jones, Amanda Rinehardt and Dawn Rinehardt; three great grandchildren, Anna, Harold and Ashley; a sister-in-law, Nora Schmidgall; an aunt, Helen Schmidgall of Silverton, Ore.; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Ardell Schmidgall.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 10:00 A.M. in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin with Rev. Stan De Vries officiating. Burial will be if Bluff City cemetery.
Visitation will be 4-8 p.m., Wednesday in the funeral home.
In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Legion Post 57 or V.F.W. Post 1307.
