Linda D. Otahal
Linda D. Otahal, age 52, of Huntingburg, IN, died Wednesday, August 25, 2004 at St. Mary's Medical Center in Evansville from cancer. She was born on March 9, 1952 in Elgin, IL to Glenn and Joan (Johnson) Glover.
Linda was a graduate of Barrington High School and attended Harper College majoring in Fine Arts. She married Gerald F. Otahal on February 14, 1974. Linda was an active member of First Baptist Church of Huntingburg, where she served as church treasure, Sunday school teacher, choir member, and discipleship trainer. She was enrolled in the Moody Bible Institute's home study program. She was a certified instructor for Crown Financial Ministries, as well as a trained volunteer for Prison Fellowship Ministries. She was a member of the advisory board and a certified counselor at the Dubois County Center for Women's Ministry in Huntingburg. She was an accomplished photographer and a great cook.
She was preceded in death by her father, Glenn Glover of Barrington, IL; by her mother, Joan Glover Conyers of New Harmony; and by her brother, Glenn Glover, Jr. of Elberfeld.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald F. Otahal of Huntingburg, IN; two daughters, Harmony (Mike) Gratzer of Princeton, IN, Bethany (Michael) Wilhite of Huntingburg, IN; two sisters, Dorothy Glover of Mt. Vernon, IN and Julie Carroll of Carmi, IL; as well as nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for Linda Otahal will be held at 2:00 PM E.S.T., Saturday, August 28, 2004 at the First Baptist Church of Huntingburg, 326 N. Geiger St. (corner of Fourth and Geiger Sts.), downtown Huntingburg.
A lunch will be served at Noon in the Church's fellowship room, prior to the funeral service. The Rev. Paul Wellinghoff of Evansville will lead the services and the Rev. James Carroll of Olive Hill, KY will bring the message from God's Word. Burial will follow in the Maple Hill cemetery in New Harmony, IN.
Friends may call for visitation at the Nass & Son Funeral Home in Huntingburg, from 2-9 PM, Friday, August 27; and at First Baptist Church of Huntingburg, from 1-2 PM, Saturday, the day of the funeral service.

Patricia A. "Pat" Brown
Patricia A., "Pat" Brown, 63 of Pana, IL passed away Thursday, August 23, 2001 at Heritage Manor, Pana.
She was born June 15, 1938 in Elgin, the daughter of Henry and Ruth Ebert Radloff.
Survivors include her husband, James J. Brown of Pana, whom she married on August 31, 1962 in Elgin; also a daughter, Debi (Corey) Stevens; two grandchildren, Brian and Naylor; and a brother, Edward Radloff, all of Hampshire.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a son, Wallace Medina.
Funeral Services were Monday, August 27 in McCracken-Dean Funeral Home with visitation until service time. Burial was in Price cemetery, Oconee, IL.
Memorials may be given to Pana Community Hospital Foundation for Hospice or Vitas Hospice, Northern Illinois.

Dorothy P. Gargano
Dorothy P. Gargano, 80, Rochester, N.H. died Saturday, Aug. 18, 2001 in Frisbie Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness.
She was born Sept. 14, 1920 in Udina, Ill., the daughter of the late Chester and Syvilla (DeWitt) Pryde.
She has lived in Rochester for the past two years after moving from Bridgeport, Conn. where she worked as a Registered Nurse for a private practice. She enjoyed volunteering for the Catholic Dioceses.
Survivors include her husband of 51 years, Gene P. Gargano of Rochester, N.H.; two sons, Gene E. (Cynthia Lewis) Gargano and Donald C. Gargano, both of Rochester, N.H.; and her grandchildren, Gregory, Laura Gargano, both of Rochester, N.H. and Michael Mills of Rollinsford, N.H.
There will be no visitation. R.M. Edgerly & Sons Funeral Home, 86 S. Main St., Rochester, N.H. is in charge of arrangements.
Memorials may be made to theCocheco Valley Humane Society, County Farm Rd., Dover, N.H. 03820 or to the American Cancer Society, 360 Rt. 101, Bedford, N.H. 03110.

John "Skip" Garner
John Garner, age 54, of Crystal Lake died at Northwest Memorial Hospital in Chicago on Sunday, August 26, 2001. He was born in Chicago, the son of Richard and Ann (Stacio) Garner.
Skip was a 1963 graduate of Dundee High School, participating in their varsity football program. A 1968 graduate of Miliken College, he actively helped their football program as an assistant coach. These early involvements with sports left him with a major love of all sports, but he acted as a private scout in football for the college. He was employed as an inspector and in shipping and receiving at Motorola in Schaumburg, Arlington Heights and McHenry.
He is survived by his wife, Judy (Osman) Garner; a daughter, Barbara (Steven) Creek of Crystal Lake; four sons: Daniel Hay of Kansas, Theodore (Tammy) of Wonder Lake, Gabriel A. Raczon of Woodstock, and Jody Martin of Crystal Lake; his grandchildren: Loretta, Scott Jr., Tonya, Angie, Shawn, Shannon, Steven, Shawn, Justine, and Aria; a sister, Patricia Ann Garner of Crystal Lake; two brothers: Dee Garner of Arkansas and Tom (Jill) Garner of Bloomington, IN.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be at the Skaja Bachmann Funeral Home, 7715 Route 14, Crystal Lake, IL, Thursday, 3-9 p.m. Funeral services Friday, 11 a.m. Interment Ridgefield cemetery. Memorial to the family appreciated.

Pearl L. Hansen
Pearl L. Hansen, age 87, of St. Charles, IL died Sunday, August 26, 2001 at Pine View Care Center, St. Charles.
She was born April 26, 1914 in Chicago, IL.
Survivors include three nephews, Hank (Sharon) Erwin of St. Charles and Kenneth and Lawrence Hansen both of Indiana.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward T. Hansen and her sister and brother-in-law, Eva and Hank Erwin Sr.
Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, August 29, 2001 at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 E. Main Street, St. Charles. Burial will be in Mount Emblem cemetery, Elmhurst, IL.
Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. until the funeral hour on Wednesday.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Fax Valley Hospice, 200 Whitfield Drive, Geneva, IL 60134.

Daniel F. Marwig
Daniel F. Marwig, 47, of Elgin passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2001 in Sherman Hospital in Elgin.
He was born December 22, 1953 in Elgin, the son of Fred and Dolores Burns Marwig.
He graduated from Dundee High School in 1971. He had been a resident of the Dundee area all his life. He was employed as a carpenter by Local 2087 in Crystal Lake. He was a veteran, having served in the Army from 1972 to 1974. He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ of Elgin and a former member of the Odd Fellows Club.
Surviving are his wife, Denise Kay Marwig, whom he married on July 21, 1979; two daughters, Danielle Marwig and Amie Marwig; a son, Zachery Marwig; his parents of Mesa, Arizona; four sisters, Jenny Marwig of Mesa, Arizona, Elizabeth (Daniel) Lucas of Delavin, Wisconsin, Carol (Terry) McTigue of Edendarie, Minn. and Sally Marwig of Chisso City, Minn; and three brothers, Fred (Carol) Marwig of Hampshire, Charles (Kathy) Marwig of Dundee and Kevin (Bonnie) Marwig of Florida.
Memorial Services will be held Wednesday at 7 PM in the Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St, Elgin with Rev. Thomas O'Connor officiating. Burial will be private.
Visitation will be at time of services only.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to a fund established for the Children, C/O First Community Bank in Elgin.

Mrs Pearl Range
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday at 11 a.m. in Lakewood cemetery, Elgin.
Mrs. Range passed away on August 24, 2001 at the Lutheran Home in Arlington Heights were she had made her home since 1989.
She was born in Coles, IL to James and Jessie Dobbs. She married Walter H. Range. They lived together for 56 years in Elgin, until his heath in 1989. During that time she belonged to the Elgin Womens Club, Good Shepard Lutheran Church, the Ladies Aid Society, and volunteered at the Lutheran Home. She was a long time employee of the Elgin National Watch Company.
She is survived by her sisters-in-law: Nellie Range and Marie Range; she was the dear aunt of Carol (Wesley) Landwehr of Elgin, Marilyn Range of Elgin, and Ronald (Linda) Range of Elgin; great-aunt of Kay (Michael) Masoner of Elgin, Mark Landwehr of Elgin, and David Landwehr of Elgin; and her cousin, Wanda Fisher.
Memorials can be made to the Lutheran Home or Good Shepard Lutheran Church, Elgin, in Pearl's name.

Patricia Anne Royston
Patricia Anne Royston, 57, of Wayne, died Sunday, August 26, 2001 at her home.
She was born January 23, 1944 in Minneapolis, Minnesota, to Earl and Mary Bentley.
Mrs. Royston is survived by her husband, R. Cary; five children, Rick (Evelyn) of Munich, Germany, Susan (Pat) Fiori of California, Michele Royston of Aurora, Illinois, Katie Royston of Wayne, Illinois, and Melissa Royston of Wayne; two grandsons, Thomas Royston and Devin Brooks; a brother, Robert Bentley of Minneapolis, Minneosta; a sister, Marilyn (Terrance) Reuland of Indianapolis, Indiana; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, August 30 at St. Patrick Church, St. Charles, IL. Rev. Raymond Guthrie officiating. Burial will be in Resurrection cemetery, Geneva Township, Illinois. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Yurs Funeral Home, St. Charles.

Lucile Sweet
Lucile Sweet, 83, of South Elgin passed away Saturday, August 25, 2001 at her home.
She was born November 29, 1917 in Perry, Iowa, the daughter of Walter and Erlene (Fulhart) Furguson-Nadlehoffer.
She was a member of the Women of the Moose, Elgin. She also attended the First United Methodist Church in West Dundee.
Survivors include two daughters, Ruth Ann (Charles) Wiese of West Dundee and Marsha (Darrell) Hileman of Alvarado, Texas; two sons, Ken (Gloria) Sweet of Elgin and John (Carol) Sweet of South Elgin; two sisters, Arnetta Odom and Pat (Otis) Feaster; a brother, Herbert Ferguson; nine grandchildren; and nine great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Kendall in 1988; her parents; a sister, Viva; and two brothers, Elsworth and Bob.
Memorial Services will be held at 4 PM Wednesday, August 29, 2001 in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin. Interment will be in Hot Springs Village, Arkansas.
Visitation will be at the time of services only.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of donors choice.

Joane Waage
Joane Waage, 75, of Elgin passed away Sunday, August 26, 2001 at her home.
She was born April 22, 1922 in Chicago, the daughter of Rudolph and Rose Reiser Yonjof.
Survivors include her daughter, Donna (Carl) Sabak of Chicago; grandmother of Tanyamarie (John) Wurster of Chicago and Laura (Scott) Brandies of Gurnee; great grandmother of Nicholas Wurster of Chicago; sister of Rosemary Wilharm of Poplar Grove and James Hill of FL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Heinz Waage; and a sister.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, August 29, 2001 at 10 AM in the Madison Funeral Home, 305 Park, Elgin with Father Dominic Cassidy officiating. Private Burial will be at St. Joseph cemetery, River Grove.
Visitation will be from 3 to 7 PM in the funeral home.
In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Provena St. Joseph's Hospice.
