Lorena E. Reiser
Lorena E. Reiser, 89, of Genoa, formerly of the Hampshire and Burlington area, passed away Wednesday, October 30, 2002, at the the Biltmore Health Care Center in Belvidere.
She was born November 11, 1912, the daughter of Henry and Marie (Fohrman) Seyller in Burlington, IL. Lorena married Edward V. Reiser on October 16, 1929 at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Hampshire and they lived in the Hampshire and Burlington area. Mrs. Reiser moved to Genoa in 1968 and had been employed at GTE in Genoa.
She had been a member of St. Catherine's Catholic Church in Genoa and formerly of the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Hampshire. Mrs. Reiser was also a member of the Altar and Rosary Society, the Ladies Catholic Order of Foresters, and the VFW Post #8043 Ladies Auxiliary of Hampshire.
Lorena enjoyed arts and crafts, with a love of crocheting, knitting and ceramics.
Surviving are six children: sons Floyd (Lois) Reiser of Marengo and Lowell "Whitey" (Arlene) Reiser of Hampshire; daughters Leila "Sis" (Norman) Deihs of Ft. Atkinson, WI, Rita (Morris) Kiefer and Carol "Jean" (Gayland) Schendel, both of Bull Shoals, AK, and Carolyn "Joan" (Henry) Theis of Maple Park; 22 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; two brothers: Marvin (Sally) Seyller and Lloyd (Doris) Seyller, both of Hampshire; two sisters: Viola Devine of Hampshire Florence Wilkinson of Florida.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Edward, in 1953, and great-grandchildren Jason Lichthardt and Brenda and Rebecca Pondelick.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 2, at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 297 E. Jefferson St., Hampshire, with the Rev. Joseph Nicolosi officiating. Burial will be in the St. Charles Borromeo cemetery in Hampshire.
Visitation will be held from 3-8 p.m. Friday, November 1 at the Fredrick Funeral Home, 284 Park St., Hampshire with rosary at 3:15 p.m. and VFW Auxiliary Service at 7:30 p.m.
Masses or memorials in her name may be directed to the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church. Info (847) 683-2711

Annie Ruth Richardson
Died Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2002 at Sherman Hospital. Born July 15, 1926 in Chicago ti Riley and Rebecca (Austin) Williams.
She had been employed as a dietician with Little Sister of the Poor Hospital and was a member of Progressive Baptist Church of Elgin.
Survivors include; two sons, three daughters, one brother, one sister, 28 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and three sisters.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, November 6, at 11 AM. at Wait Ross Allanson Chapel, Elgin. Rev. Willie Tate pastor of Progressive Baptist Chuch officiating. Bluff City cemetery of Elgin.
Visitation on Wed. Nov. 6 at 10 unitl time of services at 11 AM.

Dora Rodriguez (nee Garcia) age 54 of Streamwood. Beloved wife of Guadalupe. Loving mother of Lupe (Paulette) Chapa, Jr., Diane Chapa (Ricardo) Avila, Adela Chapa (Jose) Gonzalez and Linda Chapa (Lupe) Avila. Dear daughter of Clemente Garcia, Sr., and the late Ruth Garcia. Dear sister of Ruben (Irma) Garcia, Mary Garcia and Clemente (Brenda K.) Garcia, Jr. Loving grandmother of Lupe III, Crystalina, Alejandro, Sheri Lynn, Gabriela, Marcelina, Destiny, Angel Ricardo, Daisy and Melissa.

Janet Arteese
Janet Arteese, 84, of West Dundee, formerly of Woodstock passed away Friday, October 31, 2002 in Provena St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin.
She was born November 14, 1917 in Chicago and was the daughter of Francis and Lenora Cass.
Surviving are three daughters, Barbara Marselle of West Dundee, Darlene (Ray) Grybos of Bartlett, IL and Jean (Larry) Bell of Texas; five sons, Harold Arteese of Round Lake, IL, William (Mary) Arteese of Morton Grove, IL, Donald Arteese of Wonder Lake, IL, Walter Arteese and Rickey Arteese; 12 grand children and several great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward in 1980; two sons; and a brother.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday at 7 PM in the Laird Funeral Home, 120 S. Third St. (Corner of Third and Oregon St.'s), West Dundee. Burial will be private.
Visitation will be in the Laird Funeral Home, West Dundee on Sunday from 3 PM until time of services.

Katharin Budris
Katharin Budris, age 86, of Elgin, died Friday, November 1, 2002 at her home. She was born December 4, 1915 in New Baden, IL to John & Eva (Frey) Tennicott.
With her husband she was the owner operator of the C.J. Harley-Davidson Dealership in Elgin. She was a life member in the National Maids of America, member of Elgin American Legion Auxiliary, Democratic Committeewoman. She received the Elgin Police Dept. 4th award for her volunteer work in the Neighborhood Watch Program and the 'Dare" Program in 1995.
Survived by her daughter, Carol Joan Schultz of S. Elgin, a sister, Agnes Silanski of Lombard, grandchildren, Lana Cook, Jason Schultz, Selina (Ruben) Mendez, Kelly Benson, and Charles Budris III, a Godson, Tony Silanski and 8 great-grand children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Charles J. "C.J." Budris in 1966 and whom she married in 1933, a son Charles Budris, two brothers, John and Harold, two sisters, Theresa Strepek and Doloras Divene.
Funeral Services will be Sunday, November 3, 2002 at 5 PM at Wait Ross Allanson Elgin Chapel with Rev. Thomas O'Connor of St. Paul's United Church of Christ officiating. Visitation will be Sunday 2-7 pm at the Chapel. There will be a private burial at St. Casimar cemetery in Chicago.

Barbara C. Capocasa
Barbara C. Capocasa, 85, of Carpentersville, died Wednesday October 30, 2002 at her home. She was born on August 18, 1917 in Carpentersville, the daughter of Santo and Angelina (Rotundo) Corapi.
She was a life long resident of Carpentersville and a life long member of the St. Catherine Of Siena Church in West Dundee. Mrs. Capocasa along with her late husband Fred, owned and operated the Wintergarden Card and Gift Shop in the Meadowdale Shopping Center for 30 years.
She is survived by her son, Gregory (Barbara) of Carpentersville; three granddaughters, Gina (Mario) Martino of Gilberts, Diana and Monica Capocasa both of Carpentersville; her brother, Albert (Connie) Corapi of West Dundee; a sister-in-law, Rose Corapi of Elgin; and many nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
She was preceded in death by her her parents; her husband, Fred who died on August 28, 1989; two brothers, Sam and Louie; four sisters, Mary Cirrincione, Rose Szula, Stella "Dolly" Madafari and Josephine Petrucci.
Funeral Mass will be on Monday at 10:00 AM in the St. Catherine Of Siena Church, West Dundee. Burial will follow in the Dundee Township East cemetery, East Dundee. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2-6 PM in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee and on Monday in the church from 9:00 AM until time of Mass.

Elizabeth S. Cavitt
Elizabeth S. Cavitt, 75, of Bartlett, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2002, at St. Alexius Medical Center, Hoffman Estates, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born September 14, 1927, in West Salem, Illinois, the daughter of Theodore and Ruth (Weber) Gaede. She was a resident of Elgin and Bartlett for most of her life. She attended Elgin Public Schools and graduated from Elgin High School in 1946.
Elizabeth was an officer of Ace Coffee Bar, Inc., a company she and her husband formed in 1949. For many years, she worked along side him and helped him in any way she could. She especially loved music and enjoyed playing the organ, piano and violin. Her appreciation of music was surpassed only by her love for her family and her devotion to them. Elizabeth's children, family and friends will fondly remember the many Christmas Day concerts they shared with her. She organized many family get-togethers and especially enjoyed hosting summertime picnics. Her home in Florida provided many memorable moments for family and friends who spent time there with her. As a wife, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, sister and friend, she will be truly missed.
Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Bernard E. Cavitt; four children, Sandra (R. Morris) Lanier of St. Charles, Rodney (Christine) Cavitt of St. Charles, Lisa (Steve) Patten of West Dundee and Jill (Tom) Lorenzen of Elgin; three grandchildren, Matthew Cavitt, Elizabeth Patten and Chase Patten; three sisters, Mildred (Laverne) Bradford of Oregon, Illinois, Maxine (Robert) Wendler of Boulder, Colorado and Gene Ryan of Ft. Meyers, Florida; many nieces and nephews and special high school friends.
In addition to her parents, Elizabeth was preceded in death by a brother in infancy.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM Saturday November 2, 2002 at First Baptist Church of Geneva, 2300 South Street, Geneva, IL. Burial will be in Union cemetery, St. Charles. Visitation will be held from 4:00-8:00 PM Friday November 1, 2002, at the Norris Funeral Home, 100 S. 3rd Street in St. Charles.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made in her name to the Non-Hodgkins's Lymphoma Research Foundation, 111 Broadway 19th Floor, New York, New York 10006.

Michael Kowalyszyn
Michael Kowalyszyn of Elgin, IL. Formerly of Chicago, departed Oct. 30, 2002, born Aug. 14, 1924 in Ukraine to the late Dmytro and Maria (Luchyn) Kowalyszyn. Leaving behind his loving wife Maria (Tracz) Kowalyszyn. Daughters: Anne (Rick) Shauger, Susan (Vern) Schroeder; Son, Steven (Ann) Kowalyszyn. Grandchildren: Stephen (Jennifer), Susan, Sarah Shauger; Katherine, Elizabeth Schroeder; Lisa, Andrew, Paul Kowalyszyn. Brother Peter, sister Anna and family in Europe.
Long time employee of General Electric Co., as a machinist and technician.

Evelyn F. Williamson (nee Rasmussen)
Evelyn F. Williamson, of Evanston, formerly of Park Ridge. Born in Sioux City, Iowa daughter of Elma Gilstad and Harold Erasmus Rasmussen. May 26, 1913 to October 29, 2002.
Beloved wife of the late Robert L. Williamson.
Loving mother of Barbara (Spencer) Friedman of Houston, TX, Beverly Parsons of Kalamazoo, MI and Leslie (Fred) Rumney of Park Ridge; dear grandmother of Robert (Andrea), Joseph and Samuel Parsons of Kalamazoo, MI and Fred Rumney of Park Ridge; dear great-grandmother of Leonard and Reece Parsons of Kalamazoo, MI; aunt with many nieces and nephews.
Graduate of Superior State Teachers' College; member of the Three Arts and Eastern Star. Began her teaching career in Cornell, WI where she met her future husband. Started a kindergarten in Hayward, WI. Also taught elementary school in Duluth, MN.
While living in Hinsdale, IL in the 1950's she was an active member of Infant Welfare, Women's Club and the Union Church.
While living in New Canaan, CT in the 1960's she was an active member of the Congregational Church/United Church of Christ and Newcomers' Club, established New Neighbors and volunteered at Silver Hill.
While living in Chicago in the 70's she attended Fourth Presbyterian Church and volunteered at the This and That Shop.
In the 80's she attended The First Congregational Church in Dundee. Was voted Volunteer "Rookie of the Year" at St. Joseph's Hospital in Elgin and earned the 2500 Hours Award Pin. Served on the Board of Judson College. Was a member of the Woman's Club in Elgin.
While living in Park Ridge in the early 90's was a member of the Park Ridge Manor Woman's Club, attended Community Bible Study and was a member of the Park Ridge Presbyterian Church.
Memorial Service at Elliott Chapel of the Presbyterian Homes, 3131 Simpson, Evanston on Saturday, November 9, 2002 at 1:00 p.m.
Memorials to The Presbyterian Homes would be appreciated.

Gary B. Jurs
Gary B. Jurs, 51, of Genoa died Saturday, November 2, 2002 at Marion Joy Rehab Center in Wheaton.
He was born June 10, 1951 in Woodstock, the son of Edwin and Bernice (Pepper) Jurs.
He married Kathy Lee Peters on September 26, 1981 in Elgin. He was a graduate of Elgin High School. He was employed by Kenar Construction in Schaumburg as a Project Manager. Gary was an avid sports fan. He especially loved NASCAR Racing, the Bears and the Cubs. He enjoyed spending time with his family at his cottage in Wisconsin.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Lee of Genoa; three sons, Christopher Jurs of Genoa, Gary Jurs Jr. and Cory Jurs; a daughter, Stephanie Jurs of Genoa; his mother, Bernice Jurs of Elgin; and two brothers, Rick and Dennis Jurs both of Elgin.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Funeral Services will be Thursday, November 7, 2002 at 11 AM at the Slater-Butala Funeral Home of Genoa. Burial will be private.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 3 to 8 PM at the funeral home.

Ronald J. Storms
Ronald J. Storms, 58, of Union, formerly of Walkerville, Michigan, passed away suddenly Friday afternoon, November 1, 2002 at Good Shepard Hospital in Barrington.
He was born August 23, 1944 in Walkerville, Michigan, the son of John and Harriet Belle (Nichols) Storms.
Ron married Nancy R. Clark on March 8, 1966 in Walkerville and they have been residents of the Union area for 26 years. Mr. Storms had been employed for 36 years at CF Industries of Long Grove. He was a member of the First Congregational Church in Huntley where he served as a Deacon. He was also a U. S. Army veteran during the Vietnam Conflict.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy; his mother, Belle Storms of Walkerville; sons, Scott (April) Storms of Plainfield and Mark (Jennifer) Storms of Winfield; two grandchildren, Trevor and Brenden Storms; a niece, Nina Clark and nephew, Brandon Rickard both of Union; three brothers, Neale (Sharon) Storms of Fruitport, Michigan, Chris (Joy) Storms of Kingsly, Michigan and Randy (Sally) Storms of Walkerville, Michigan; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father in 1982; and a brother, Ricky Storms.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Thursday, November 7, 2002 at the First Congregational Church, 11628 E. Main St., Huntley with the Rev. Dr. Walter I. Thyng officiating. Burial will be in the Huntley cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 3 to 8 PM Wednesday at the First Congregational Church.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions in his name may be directed to the American Heart Association or to the Building Fund of the First Congregational Church of Huntley.
