Rosalie Ellis Justice Treadwell
Rosalie Ellis Justice Treadwell, 76, former many year resident of Algonquin died Saturday, November 22, 2003 at the Alden Long Grove Rehab & Healthcare Center in Long Grove. She was born in Hickory, IL on August 16, 1927, the daughter of Milton and Elva (nee Winston) Justice. She was a former member of the Algonquin Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary. Mrs. Treadwell loved spending time with her family and she enjoyed crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, William Hale Treadwell, Jr. They married on November 15, 1947. Four children: William H. III (Bonnie) of Algonquin, Janet (Carl "Buzz") Franklin of Branson, MO, David (Claudette) of Algonquin and Stephen (Joanne) of Wauconda, many grand and great grandchildren, one sister: Judy (Brad) Gordon of Iowa.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister June Robinson.
Visitation will be on Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee. Services and interment will be private. Please omit flowers. Memorials may be made to the VITAS HOSPICE Volunteer Programs.

Mary Margaret Lutz Wallmuth
Mary Margaret Lutz Wallmuth, 82, of Elgin passed away Monday, November 24, 2003 in Provena St. Joseph Hospital.
She was born February 24, 1921 in Elgin, a daughter of E. Allen and Marie Leaf Lutz and had lived in Elgin all her life.
She was employed by Elgin Business Men's Association for 24 years and retired from Elgin Molded Plastics after 14 years. Member of Wesley United Methodist Church and a former member of Altrusa Club, Business and Professional Women and White Collar Girls. She also held office in each organization.
Survived by a daughter, Patricia (David) Weaver of Hampshire, IL; two grandchildren, Lori (John) Moran of Aurora, IL and Mike (Maria) Lesniak of Midlothian, VA; and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, W. L. Wallmuth in 1973; and a sister, Betty Krogsrud.
Private services were held in the Laird Funeral Home in Elgin with private interment.
Memorials may be given to Wesley United Methodist Church or to the Salvation Army.

Richard F. (Rick) Whitlock, II
Richard F. (Rick) Whitlock, II, 46, died Sunday, November 16, 2003 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida after a short illness. He was a 1975 graduate of Elgin High School.
He is survived by his father, Richard F. Whitlock, M.D. and stepmother, Virginia M. Whitlock; his sisters, Patricia Ann Whitlock, Nora Louise Whitlock, Sara Elizabeth Whitlock; his stepsister, Kathleen Knights Mickey; and stepbrother, John Coby Knights.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ann Wolf Whitlock; his stepmother, Jean Wolf Knights Whitlock; and his stepbrother, Geoffrey Allan Knights.
Private services will be heldl in December with private interment at Lakewood Memorial Park cemetery in Elgin. Laird Funeral Home in Elgin is in charge of services. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the National Hospice and Palliative Care Organization, 1700 Diagonal Road, Suite 625, Alexandria, VA 22314.

Harry Anderson
Harry Anderson, 97, of Elgin, passed away Wednesday, November 24, 2004, in Sherman West Court. He was conceived in Sweden and was born in Elgin, IL on December 22, 1907, and was the son of Henry and Hulda Anderson whom immigrated from Mo'tala, Sweden.
He married Malene Nygard in August of 1933 after she graduated with the first Nursing Class of Sherman Hospital. Life long member of the First Baptist Church of Elgin. He was a Real Estate Broker and active in local politics, serving as an Elgin Commissioner and worked in the Elgin Assessor's office. He was President of the Elgin Real Estate Board in 1949. He always enjoyed good conversation and was an avid baseball fan. He attended his last White Sox game a few years ago as a guest of pitcher Billy Pierce. He enjoyed many vacations in Eagle River, Wisconsin with his beloved wife Malene and niece Phyllis Gehrig. In later years, Harry and Malene enjoyed many trips with their niece Nancy Begalka and her husband, Dick. Their favorite trip was celebrating their 60th anniversary in Banff and Lake Louise, Canada.
Surviving are six nieces and one nephew.
Preceded by his wife of 71 years, Malene; his parents; two brothers, Edward and Ernest Anderson; three sisters, Agda Crane, Irene Jensen and Norma Anderson and three nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 27, 2004, at 1:00 P.M. in the Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin with Rev. Tim Chinn officiating. Private burial will be in Bluff City cemetery.
Visitation will be in the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 noon until time of services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Anderson Animal Shelter in South Elgin.

Kathy A. Kenzler
Kathy A. Kenzler, 46, of Genoa, IL, formerly of Carpentersville, IL passed away November 21, 2004 in Rockford Memorial Hospital, Rockford, IL. She was born on March 16, 1958 in Chicago, IL and was the daughter of Grover and Peggy Brooks.
She is survived by her husband, Dennis of Genoa, IL; one son, Jason Kenzler of Genoa, IL; two sisters, Freda (David) Bjork of Elgin, IL and Tammy (Keith) Hawkins of Elgin, IL; her parents of Elgin, IL; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Candy R. Denny.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, November 27, 2004 at 4:00 p.m. in the Laird Funeral Home, 120 S. Third St. (corner of Third and Oregon), West Dundee, IL. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of services in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the family.

Ina E. Krachala
Ina E. Krachala, 91, of St. Charles, IL, passed away Monday, November 22, 2004 in the Provena St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin. She was born on May 10, 1913 in DeKalb, IL and was the daughter of Karl and Amanda Koivunen. Ina had been employed by Fox Valley Cleaners in St. Charles prior to her retirement.
Member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church of St. Charles, IL.
She is survived by -Her daughters- Cynthia Ruth (Gene) Coester of Elgin, Pamela Marie Krachala of St. Charles, IL. 2 -Grand daughters- Tiffany (Arnold) Meszaros and Tamara Foster. 1 -Great Grand daughter- Kaitlyn Marie Meszaros.
She was preceded in death by -Her parents, her husband John Krachala in 1987, 2 brothers Emil and Carl Koivunen, 1 sister Irya Lehto.
Funeral services will be held on Friday in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin with burial in Union cemetery, St. Charles, IL. Visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services in the funeral home. Laird Funeral Homes of Elgin and West Dundee are in charge of arrangements.

Mildred "Millie" Sieber Allart
Mildred "Millie" Sieber Allart, of Elgin passed away Saturday, November 23, 2002 in her home.
She was born in the South Shore area of Chicago, IL, the daughter of John and Wilhelmina (Casper) Jordan.
Millie will be remembered for her loving devotion to her family and friends, her fine intelligence and her warm friendly spirit. She was deeply interested in her community and served on numerous boards, most recently, the Hemmens Cultural Center. Member of the First Congregational Church of Elgin.
Survivors include her daughter, Janet (Joe) Sieber Hammock; four grandchildren, Julie and Lisa Sobinsky, and Robert and Richard Johnson Jr; three great grandchildren, Sarah and Hannah Johnson and Maxwell Sobinsky; and many wonderful friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands, Robert J. Sieber and Douglas W. Allart.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 2 PM in the First Congregational Church, Elgin. Burial will be in River Valley Memorial Gardens, West Dundee, IL.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5 to 8 PM in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin and on Wednesday from 1:30 until time of Services at the church.
Memorials may be made to the First Congregational Church.

Anthony P. Kociunas
Anthony P. Kociunas, age 80 of Fairview Residence in Rockford, formerly of Lake In the Hills, passed away November 24, 2002 at Northwoods Nursing Home in Belvidere. He was born October 29, 1922 in Cicero, Illinois.
He retired from Jewel Tea and was a U.S. Marine and Army Veteran of WWII.
He is survived by a daughter, Christina Lange of Pomona, CA and a son, Anthony P. (Geraldine) Kociunas, Jr. of Chesapeake, VA, his stepchildren: Kenneth Burzynski of Anna, IL and Sandra (Roy) Copeland of Sebring, FL, his sister, Vera Zerner of Lombard, IL, special friends Howard and Mickey Wilke of Belvidere.
He was preceded in death by his wife Martha (nee Burzynski), parents Joseph and Mary Kociunas and brothers and sisters.
A memorial service was held on November 25, 2002 at Fairview Residence (Chapel).
Memorials may be made to St. Anthony Home Health c/o Order of St. Francis, 6122 Mulford Dr., Rockford, IL 61107.

Betty J. Simpson
Betty J. Simpson, 79, of Elgin died Saturday, November 23, 2002 at Sherman West Court in Elgin.
She was born in Dubuque, Iowa on May 14, 1923 to John H. and Mildred K. (Baker) Simpson.
Survivors include a sister, Diane J. Ollen of Elgin; a nephew, Wayne T. Simpson of Lisle; nieces, Alexis P. Mapes of Elgin, Mary L. Bulkley of South Elgin and Gail Griva of St. Charles; and many great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, James L. Simpson; and a nephew, Gregory S. Mapes.
Visitation will be held at O'Connor and Homeier Funeral Home, 364 Division St, Elgin on Tuesday, November 26 from 4 to 8 PM.
Funeral Services will be at 10 AM Wednesday, November 27 at the funeral home with Fr. Edward Seisser officiating. Interment will be in Union cemetery in St. Charles.

Virginia T. Welch
Virginia T. (Schwoerer) Welch, 83, of Bartlett for 47 years, died Sunday, November 24, 2002.
Member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, Barlett for 37 years.
Survived by a son, James W. (Janice) Welch of Chippewa Falls, WI; grandchildren, Kristine (John) Mehanna of Keller, TX and John W. (Nadine) Welch II of Chippewa Falls, WI.
preceded in death by her husband, James A. Welch.
Funeral services Wednesday, November 27, 2002, 12 Noon at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1116 E. Devon Ave., Bartlett where she will lie-in-state from 11 a.m. until the time of service. Helen B. Hubbard
Helen B. Hubbard, 86, of Ironwood, Michigan, died Monday, November 22, 2004 in her home.
The former Helen Balbirnie was born March 7, 1918 in Philadelphia, PA, the daughter of the late Charles and Lesse (Patton) Balbirnie. She attended Philadelphia schools, graduating from high school there in 1936. She received an undergraduate degree in social work from Bucknell University in Pennsylvania in 1940, then received a Master of Social Work from Smith College in Northampton, Massachusetts in 1949. Helen loved music and was the soloist for the Women's Glee Club during her college years.
She was first employed as a social worker at Presbyterian Hospital in Philadelphia, and volunteered in the Red Cross during World War II. She was then employed as a Psychiatric Social Worker for over 20 years in the Elgin School District, retiring in 1985. She moved to Ironwood, MI in 1993.
On September 17, 1949, Helen was united in marriage to her wonderful husband, James M. Hubbard, at the First Presbyterian Church in Philadelphia. He preceded her in death on August 21, 1986.
Surviving are two daughters, Kathryn (Daniel L.) Sullivan of San Diego, CA and Betsy (Steve) Wesselhoft of Ironwood; five grandchildren, Lindsay, Megan, and Sarah Sullivan and Michael Leanne Wesselhoft; a brother, Robert Bruce (Frances) Balbirnie of Philadelphia; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband, Helen was preceded in death by a brother, John Balbirnie, and sister, Elizabeth Lee.
Graveside committal services will be held Monday, November 29, at 10:00 a.m. in Bluff City cemetery in Elgin, with the Rev. Olin Sletto of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church officiating.
To celebrate Helen's life, memorial contributions may be made to the Salem Lutheran Music Fund or to the Grand View Hospital Foundation, in care of Betsy Wesselhoft, E-5132 John St., Ironwood, MI 49938.
Laird Funeral Home, Elgin is in charge of local arrangements.
