Linda J. Koch
Linda J. Koch, 55, of South Elgin, passed away Thursday in Provena St. Joseph Hospital, Elgin. She was born on June 23, 1948 in Elgin and was the daughter of Eugene and Helen (Hoffmeier) Geske. She was a graduate of Larkin High School in 1966. Linda was a homemaker and will be dearly missed.
Survivors include her husband, James, whom she married on October 21, 1967; two children, James (Julie) Koch, Jr. of South Elgin, Dawn (Dan) Downing of South Elgin; three grandchildren, Andrew and Marisa Koch, Alexis Downing; two sisters, Donna Summerfield and Darling Wintz; her mother, Helen (Earl) Krueger.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 23, 2004 at 12:00 Noon in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin, with Rev. Joseph F. Kulak officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope cemetery, Elgin. Visitation will be on Sunday from 4-8:00 p.m. in the funeral home.

John A. Recskowski
John A. Recskowski, 59, of South Elgin passed away Saturday, February 21, 2004 in his home. He was born September 6, 1944 in Chelsea, MA, the son of Adam and Varsinig Recskowski.
Survivors include his wife, Colleen; step son, Christopher (Susan) Winchell of Naples, FL; step daughter, Wendy (Larry) Sandine of Monroe Center, IL; sister, Helen (Ernest) Hannaford; granddaughter, Abigail Sandine; and grandson, Christopher Winchell Jr.
preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Frances Marin; and a step son, David Winchell.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, February 23, 2004 at 4 PM in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin with the Rev. Keith Perry officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be held from 2 PM on Monday until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to the King of Glory Lutheran Church, 36W720 Hopps Rd., South Elgin, IL, 60177.

John J. "Jack" Sullivan
John J. "Jack" Sullivan, 80, of West Dundee died Wednesday, February 18, 2004 at Provena-St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin. He was born in Chicago on March 29, 1923, the son of John J. and Esther (nee Woods) Sullivan. John was a 38 year resident of the Dundee area. He was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, West Dundee, the Knights of Columbus, a W.W.II Army Veteran, and a former West Dundee Police Pension Board member. He was a longtime friend of Bill W.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Patricia (nee Selzer) Sullivan, whom he married on April 26, 1958; six children, Joanne (Edward) Zasada of Plato Twp., Stephen (Teresa) of Eagan, MN, Terence, M.D. (Carol) of Chicago, Cdr. Joseph (Lynda) of Oak Harbor, WA, Daniel (Barbara) of Durham, NC, and Mary of New York City, NY; thirteen grandchildren, Jennifer, Meghan, Kevin, Rachel, Alison, Caitlin, Jack, Timothy, Nikki, Gerrid, Brittany, Kelsy, and Lindsey; his sister, Mary Murphy of Oak Park; his sister-in-law, Roberta Sullivan of Brookfield; his mother-in-law, Dolores Selzer of West Dundee; many nieces, nephews, and friends also survive.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Thomas; his sister, Genevieve Ruzkowski.
Family and friends will meet for Funeral Mass on Monday at 10:00 a.m. in the St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, West Dundee. Burial will follow in the River Valley Memorial Gardens, West Dundee. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1-6 p.m. in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee and on Monday from 9:00 a.m. in church prior to Mass. Please omit flowers; masses would be appreciated, or memorials may be made to either American Lung Association or The Christopher Reeve Paralysis Foundation, 500 Morris Avenue, Springfield, NJ 07081.

Jeffrey M. Bogosh
Jeffrey M. Bogosh, age 57, passed away very unexpectedly on Saturday, February 19, 2005 at St. Mary's Hospital, Madison. He was born on January 9, 1948 in Chicago, IL, the son of Victor and Beatrice (Stanko) Bogosh Sr.
Jeff was united in marriage to the former Rita Conrad on May 4, 1974 in Elgin, IL. He has been a resident of Sun Prairie since 1987 and prior to that resided in Elgin, IL. Jeff was a director for American Family Financial Services, Madison. He also was the Choir Director for American Family Choir that performed at various functions representing American Family.
Jeff was an active member of St. Albert The Great Catholic Church, Sun Prairie, where he was a member of the guitar choir. He served his country proudly in the Viet Nam War with the U.S. Army. Jeff was an avid Chicago Bears fan in a sea of Packer fans.
He will be missed and mourned by his beloved family, including his wife, Rita of Sun Prairie; his sons, Timothy of Madison, Christopher of Sun Prairie; his daughter, Michelle of Sun Prairie, his brothers, Daniel (Nancy Hannon) Bogosh of Winnetka, IL, Lawrence (Darlene) Bogosh of Orland Park, IL and Victor (Donna) Bogosh Jr. of Geneva, IL; his sisters, Cynthia Parker of Seatle, WA, Jude (Rev. Donald) Borling of Orland Park, IL, Deborah (Craig) Scheleski of Addison, IL and Barbara (Robert) Bataglia of Lombard, IL; his father and Mother-in-law, Richard and Eleanor Conrad of Elgin, IL; his sister-in-law, Diane (Wolfgram) Donalies of Elgin, IL; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends also mourn his passing.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, February 22, 2005 at 4:00 PM at St. Albert The Great Catholic Church, 2420 St. Albert Dr., Sun Prairie, WI, with Reverend Michael Richel presiding. Committal services to be held in Sacred Hearts Catholic cemetery, Sun Prairie.
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday at the church from 2:00 PM until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorials to St. Albert Catholic Church, would be appreciated.

Scott Michael Bradley
Scott Michael Bradley, 41 of Elgin, passed away Monday, February 21, 2005 in his home. He was born October 27, 1963 in St. Charles, the son of William (Carol) Bradley and Elaine (Glen) Beal.
He was a 1982 Graduate of Elgin High School. He attended E.C.C. for three years and served in the National Guard.
Survivors include his parents; his fiancee', Terri Campbell of Elgin; daughters, Alyssa and Samantha Bradley of Elgin; brothers, Bill, Robert and John Bradley; sisters, Becky Ehredt, Amy Villareal and Beth Oates; and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 24 at 10:00 AM in the Laird Funeral Home, 310 S. State St., Elgin, with the Rev. Steve Srock, officiating. Burial will be in Bluff City cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00-8:00 PM in the funeral home and on Thursday morning from 9:30 AM, until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to his daughters for educational purposes.

Marjorie J. Christofferson, 95
Marjorie J. Christofferson, 95, of Hoffman Estates, formerly of Chicago died Monday, February 21, 2005 at the St. Alexius Medical Center in Hoffman Estates.
She was born in Winnepeg, Canada on August 13, 1909. She was the daughter of Leonard and Carolyn (nee Brodwolf) Van Praagh. She is survived by her daughter Carol (James Opelka) Kauranen of West Dundee. Her grandchildren; Debbie (David) Beal and Richard (Mary Ann) Kauranen. Her Great-grandchildren; Andrea and Kelvin Beal, Zachary Kaurenan and Rick and Lisa Gorge.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George on October 31, 1984, her brother; Alfie and her sister; Ruth.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 7:00 pm in the Miller Funeral Home, West Dundee. Burial will be private in the Woodlawn cemetery, Forest Park. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 6-9 pm in the funeral home. Please omit flowers, memorials may be made to the Parkinson's Disease Association.

Byford J. King
Byford J. King of Ina, IL, died at Good Samaritan Hospital, Mt. Vernon, IL on Thursday, February 17, 2005. He was 90.
He was ordained into the ministry at Frisco Baptist Church in December of 1939, and spent many years ministering to small rural churches in Southern Illinois. He was a painter by trade and spent several years working as a dietitian at the Elgin State Hospital. He enjoyed playing country music on his guitar and French harp.
Byford was preceded in death by his wife, Bertha (Gentry) King; his parents, Dan and Laura (Lovin) King; 11 brothers and sisters and a son, Lloyd W. King.
He is survived by one son, Harold L. King and two grandsons.
Funeral services were private and graveside in Elgin.

Lawrence Peter Molenda
Lawrence Peter Molenda, 71, of Woodville, TX passed away February 19, 2005 at his residence.
Born February 9, 1934 in Chicago, IL to Walter Peter and Apolonia Vasiville Molenda, he lived in Woodville, TX for many years. He was a retired machinist in the oil field. He was a member of the Fairview Baptist Church in Town Bluff, TX.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Walter Molenda of Vidor, TX and a sister, Marion Molenda of Palestine, IL.
Mr. Molenda is survived by his loving wife, Opal "Kitty" Molenda of Woodville, TX. He is the beloved father of daughters: Deborah Baumgartner and husband, Len of Tavavis, FL and Dawn Cocker-ham of Vidor, TX; the beloved father of sons: Lawrence Molenda and wife Rose of Houston, TX, Robert Molenda of Corpus Christi, TX and Kevin Molenda of Kenedy, TX; beloved grandfather of eleven grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren; beloved brother of Chuck Molenda and wife, Kitty of Carpentersville, IL and Art Molenda and wife, Cheri of Marengo, IL, Chris Edman and husband, Herb of Oakland, CA and a sister-in-law, Darleen Molenda of Vidor, TX.
Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, February 22, 2005 at 11 AM at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel in Woodville, TX with Brother Doyle Butcher and Brother John Spanhanks officiating. A cremation service will follow the service. Visitation was held Monday evening at the Funeral Home.

Guadalupe Cantu
Guadalupe Cantu, 93, of Elgin passed away February 16, 2003 at home. Born August 8, 1909 in Monte Cristo, TX, the son of Jacinto and Christina Cantu.
He will be loved and missed by his daughter, Delia Garza of Elgin; six granddaughters; 19 great-grandchildren; and one great great granddaughter. And a host of family and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held Monday, February 24, 2003 at the Community Room West Wind Towers, in Elgin, at 3:00 P.M. O'Connor & Homeier Funeral Home, (847)741-1400.

Alfred W. Collier
Alfred W. Collier, 73, of Elgin, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, February 19, 2003. He was surrounded by family in the comfort of his home.
Surviving are his beloved wife, Joy; four children, John (Si) Collier, William (Sandy) Collier, Patricia (Terry) Schultz, Susan (Barton) Panther; eight grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Kathryn and Worley Collier; and his brother, Paul.
Mass Of The Resurrection will be held Tuesday, February 25 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 215 Thomas More Drive, Elgin at 11:00 am. Visitation will precede Mass at 10:30 am.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 500 North Dearborn, Suite 305, Chicago, IL 60610.

Wallace Clifford "Bud" Kenyon
Wallace Clifford "Bud" Kenyon, 87, of South Elgin passed away Friday, February 21, 2003 at Sherman West Court, Elgin.
He was born May 23, 1915 at the family home south of Elgin, the son of Grace Manley Kenyon and Wallace Clark Kenyon.
He was a graduate of Elgin High School Class of 1932 and then from Lawrence University in 1937. He served in the U.S. Army, volunteering in October of 1941 and serving until September 17, 1945 retiring as a Chief Warrant Officer serving in the Third Army under Gen. George Patton in the European Theatre of Operation. He received the Bronze Star and five Battle Stars. In 1948, he joined the firm of Kenyon Brothers Company with his brothers, David C, John W., Harold L. and Warren M. Kenyon in dairy farming and cattle sales. He was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity, served on the Board of Managers of Sherman Hospital for 20 years and the First National Bank of Elgin Board for 20 years. He served on the Board of Sherman West Court and was a volunteer at Sherman West Court.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Margaret Pate Kenyon; three sons, Michael (Carol) Kenyon, W. Clark Kenyon and Larry A. (Teresa) Kenyon; three grandsons; five granddaughters; and four great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; six brothers; and four sisters.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, February 24, 2003 at 11 AM at Laird Funeral Home, Elgin with Rev. Larry Pickens officiating. Burial will be in Bluff City cemetery, Elgin.
Visitation will be held Sunday from 4 to 8 PM in the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be given to the charity of one's choice.

Margaret Peters
Margaret Peters, 85, of St. Charles died Friday, February 21, 2003 at Delnor Community Hospital in Geneva, Illinois.
She was born November 19, 1917 in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin.
Mrs. Peters was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in St. Charles, Illinois.
Mrs. Peters is survived by four sons, Wayne of Anna, Illinois, Dallas (Barbara) of Elburn, William Jr of Dongola, Illinois and Charles of Anna, Illinois; three daughters, Janet (Galen) Guth of St. Charles, Barbara (Wendell) Hastings of Benton, Illinois and Linda (Sergio) Martinez of St. Charles; a sister, Lorraine (Donn) Jacobs of Nekoosa, Wisconsin; seven grandsons; six granddaughters; 24 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William J. in 1989; a grandson; a granddaughter; and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be at 10 AM Tuesday, February 25 at Yurs Funeral Home, 405 East Main Street, St. Charles with Rev. Timothy Silber officiating. Burial will be at Lakewood cemetery, Elgin, Illinois.
Visitation will be Monday from 4 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 101 South Sixth Avenue, St. Charles, Illinois, 60174.
