Ruth Irvin

RANKIN -- Ruth E. Irvin, 70, of Rankin, died today (April 18, 2002) at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center in Danville.
Arrangements are pending at the Knapp Funeral Home in Rankin.

Aileen Feeney

COAL CITY -- Aileen A. Feeney, 70, of Morris, relative of a Coal City resident, died of cancer Friday (April 12, 2002) at Morris Hospital.
Services were held April 17 at the U.C. Davis and Sons Funeral Home, Morris.
Burial was in Evergreen cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Morris Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witness.
She was born April 18, 1931, in Chicago, the daughter of Sam and Janet Bassett Devor.
Her husband, Robert H. Feeney, whom she married Nov. 24, 1951, in Chicago, died May 26, 1988.
Surviving are two daughters and three sons-in-law, Karen and Dennis Vanderploeg, Janice and Don Greenwood, Steven Becker, all of Morris; five grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Mary Jane and Richard Higgins of Dundee, Shirley and John Micetich of Coal City; and several nieces and nephews.
One daughter, Paula Becker, died Dec. 1, 1983; one granddaughter died in infancy; and one sister and one brother, are deceased.
She was educated in Chicago schools.
She enjoyed riding her bicycle and was active with the Morris Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Alfred Stelk
retired business manager

OTTAWA -- Alfred J. Stelk, 76, of Ottawa, formerly of Kankakee, died Wednesday (April 17, 2002) at his home after a two-month illness.
Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today at the Mueller Funeral Home, Ottawa, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday. Rev. Dale Katcher will officiate.
Burial, with military rites, will be in St. Columba cemetery, Ottawa.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
Mr. Stelk retired as the manager of Sammons Communications.
He also was a charter member and past-president of the Illinois-Indiana Cable Association.
He was born Oct. 1, 1925, in Oak Park, the son of Alfred and Clara Walker Stelk.
Surviving are his wife, the former Audrey Nelson, whom he married May 30, 1952, in Kankakee; one daughter and son-in-law, Claran and Craig Einfeld of Springfield; two sons and daughters-in-law, Alfred J. III and Fawnda Stelk of Crawfordsville, Ind., Andrew J. and Karen Stelk of Monticello, Minn.; eight grandchildren; and one brother and sister-in-law, Roger and Jodi Stelk of Kankakee.
One sister; one brother; and one granddaughter, Lindsey Stelk, are deceased.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during World War II on a destroyer fleet. He was a member of the American Legion.

Elmer Rife

WATSEKA -- Elmer Rife, 92, of Watseka, died Thursday (April 18, 2002) at Iroquois Memorial Resident Home, Watseka.
Arrangements are pending at the Redenius Funeral Home in Gilman.

Eloise Dion
teacher, co-owned hardware store

CRESCENT CITY -- Eloise Mae Dion, 88, of Crescent City, died Thursday (April 18, 2002) at Prairieview Lutheran Home, Danforth.
Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. today at the Segur-Knapp Funeral Home, Watseka, and from 9 a.m. Saturday until the 10 a.m. services at St. Peter's Lutheran Church, Crescent City, where she was a member. Rev. Harold Grafe will officiate.
Burial will be in St. Peter's Lutheran cemetery, Crescent City.
Memorials may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church.
Mrs. Dion was an elementary school teacher at country schools in Watseka, Cissna Park and Crescent City. She was co-owner of Dion's Hardware.
She was born Oct. 7, 1913, in Ransom, the daughter of Bert and Grace Addison Lester.
Her husband, Harold J. Dion, whom she married Aug. 11, 1940, in Onarga, died Dec. 22, 2000.
Surviving are one son, John Dion of Austin, Texas; one daughter, Jane Preston of Berkeley, Calif.; one grandson, Axel Dion of Austin, Texas; one sister, Marge Morrison of Crescent City; and two nieces, Nancy Dickenson of Crescent City and Jo Morrison of Champaign.

Francis Sadler

CABERY -- Graveside memorial services for Francis H. "Fritz" Sadler, 78, of Headland, Ala., formerly of Cabery, will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Mt. Hope cemetery, Cabery.
Memorials may be made to Wiregrass Hospice Inc., P.O. Drawer 2127, Dothan, Ala., 36302.
Mr. Sadler died Jan. 15, 2002.

William Dandurand

A funeral Mass for William J. Dandurand, 71, of Bourbonnais, was celebrated April 17 at Maternity BVM Catholic Church, Bourbonnais. Revs. John Peeters, Henry Wilkening and Lee Bacchi officiated.
Mr. Dandurand died April 14, 2002.
Burial was in St. James cemetery, Irwin. Pallbearers were Todd, Casey, Bob and Russell Westover, Shawn Eveland, Adam Keene, Bobby Burns and Richard Hedges Soucie.

Larry Hebert

A funeral Mass for Larry E. Hebert, 51, of Kankakee, was celebrated April 18 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Rev. Richard Jacklin officiated.
Mr. Hebert died April 14, 2002.
Burial was in St. Anne Catholic cemetery. Pallbearers were Rob Geiger, Wayne Dunham, Butch Keller, Lyndon Knight, Jimmy Corneliss and Jeff Madeiros.

Robert Wolfe

MILFORD -- Services for Robert Wolfe, 81, of Milford, were held April 18 at the Knapp Funeral Home, Milford. Rev. Neil Larimore officiated.
Mr. Wolfe died April 14, 2002.
Burial was in Maple Grove cemetery, Milford. Pallbearers were Mac Lyles, Mel Rieches, Joey Rubitschung, Pat Havings, Red Schroeder and Jerry Evans.

Herbert Teague
Mobil retiree

WILMINGTON -- Visitation for Herbert Teague, 54, of Wilmington, will be from 9 a.m. Monday until the 10 a.m. services at Reeves Funeral Home, Wilmington. Rev. David Lagos will officiate.
Burial will be in Abraham Lincoln National cemetery, Elwood.
Memorials may be made to the donor's choice.
Mr. Teague died suddenly Sunday (April 14, 2002).
Mr. Teague was retired from Mobil Oil Corporation.
He was born June 23, 1947, in Gibson County, Tenn., the son of Curtis and Artie Teague. His parents are deceased.
Surviving are three sons, Paul Teague of Virginia, David Teague of Elwood, Jason and Amy Teague of Oklahoma; one brother and sister-in-law, Odell and Pat Teague of Romeoville; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Doris Teague, Ruby and Stewart Nichols, all of Michigan, and Mayrene Teague of Illinois.
Two brothers, Curtis and Osdell Teague, are deceased.
He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Marian Conrath

PONTIAC -- Marian Evelyn Conrath, 86, of Evenglow Lodge, Pontiac, formerly of Dwight, died Thursday (April 18, 2002) at OSF Saint James Hospital, Pontiac.
A memorial Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Dwight, where she was a member. Rev. James Rickey will officiate.
She donated her body to The Anatomical Gift Association of Illinois for medical research.
Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 2580 Federal Drive, Suite 403, Decatur, IL 62526; or by calling 1-888-DIABETES.
Duffy Funeral Home, Pontiac, is in charge of arrangements.
She was born Dec. 6, 1915, in Renville, Minn., the daughter of Frank and Cora Higgins Gibbons.
Surviving are one son, John (Linda) Conrath of Orland Park; one daughter, Cathy (Doug) Carlson of Dwight; and four grandchildren, Ann and Kevin Conrath and Jennifer and Jeff Carlson.
One brother is deceased.
She attended Dwight High School.
Ms. Conrath was a record clerk for the State of Illinois.

Marilyn Clements

Visitation for Marilyn Bertrand Clements, 75, of Kankakee, will be from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Bourbonnais.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. Teresa Catholic Church. Rev. Anthony Taschetta will officiate.
Burial will be in Kankakee Memorial Gardens cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Teresa Catholic Church or to Girl Scouts of America.
Mrs. Clements died Monday (April 15, 2002) at Provena Our Lady of Victory Nursing Home, Bourbonnais.
She was born Feb. 14, 1927, in Kankakee, the daughter of Arthur and Myrtle Doyle Bertrand.
Her husband, Daniel Clements, whom she married Nov. 28, 1946, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Kankakee, died Jan. 9, 1998.
Surviving are two daughters and one son-in-law, Irene and Bob Granger of Bradley, Sr. Mary Elizabeth Clements, SSCM, of Batavia; one sister and brother-in-law, Armeline and Lawrence Duane McCawley of Kankakee; one brother and sister-in-law, John and Emelda Bertrand of Bourbonnais; three grandchildren; nine nieces and nephews; five great-nieces and one great-nephew.
One great-niece is deceased.
She was a graduate of St. Patrick Grade School and High School. She had enjoyed getting together with the luncheon group from high school for the past 59 years.
Mrs. Clements had been a singer for many years and was active in Girl Scout Troop 284 for 23 years.
She was a member of St. Teresa Catholic Church, where she was a choir member for 25 years and was named CCW Woman of the Year. She was also a member of the Home Christian Extension Association.
She enjoyed collecting music boxes .

Patricia Henchel

BEECHER -- Patricia Jean Henchel, 43, of Beecher, died Thursday (April 18, 2002) at the University of Chicago Hospital.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. Saturday until the 8 p.m. services at the Hack Funeral Home, Beecher.
Memorials may be made to the Cancer Support Center.
She was born Oct. 1, 1958, in Pineville, W.Va., the daughter of James and Leah R. Clay Hrones.
Surviving are her husband, Ronald Henchel; her parents of Beecher; two sons, Matthew and Daniel, both of Beecher; and one brother and sister-in-law, James Jr. and Karen Hrones of Beecher.
One sister, Diana Lynn Krasigroch, died in 1992.

Ronald Kelly

KEMPTON -- Ronald J. "R.J." Kelly, 64, of Jamaica Plain, Mass., formerly of Kempton, died Saturday (April 6, 2002) at his home, after a six-week illness.
A memorial service willl be held in Boston and his inurnment will be in Kempton in late June.
Arrangements are by the Harris-Martin-Burke Funeral Home, Cullom.
