Robert C. Berrong
Robert C. Berrong, 80, of Greers Ferry, Arkansas and formerly of Zion and Winthrop Harbor died on Tuesday, March 18, 2003 in Zion.
Robert was born May 27, 1922 and grew up in Winthrop Harbor, and lived in Zion until retiring from Johnson Motors at which time he made his home in Arkansas. While in Arkansas he was a member of Holiday Hills Methodist Church in Greers Ferry.
Survivors include one daughter Beth (Chris) Riesterer of Zion; two grandchildren Elisha and Luke Riesterer; and one brother Earl (Betty) Berrong of Winthrop Harbor. He was preceded in death by his wife Lois, by one sister Dorothy Cliff and by his parents Polie and Rena Berrong.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, March 27, 2003 at 8:00 p.m. at the CONDGON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion with Rev. Todd Habegger of Village Church of Gurnee officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 7:00 p.m. until time of services at the Funeral Home. Memorials to Make-A-Wish Foundation of Northern Illinois, 640 N. Shirley A. Hartman
Shirley A. Hartman, age 77, passed away Thursday, March 20, 2003 at Winchester House in Libertyville, IL. Born in St. Paul, MN she began working for the government in Albuquerque, NM shortly after the war. There she met and married her husband in 1949. They later moved to Wildwood and lived there for 20 years. Shirley also worked for Victory Hospital for 15 years until her retirement.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years Walter Hartman, her children Stephen Hartman of Lake Bluff, IL; Barbara Hartman of Mundelein, IL, Kathy (Gary) Beach of Salt Lake City, UT, David (Evaline) Hartman of Berrien Springs, MI; Roberta Hartman of Berrien Springs, MI and Tracy (David) Paquette of Wildwood, IL, a sister, Marjorie (Robert) Hanna of Albuquerque, NM and nine grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A funeral mass is scheduled for Monday, March 24, 2003 at 10 a.m. at St. Gilbert's Catholic Church, 301 E. Belvidere Rd. Grayslake, IL 60030. Audrey Hoult
Audrey Hoult, 75, of Libertyville, died Wednesday, March 19, 2003 at her home. She was born January 7, 1928 in Barrington and was a lifelong Lake County resident. Mrs. Hoult was a member of the Libertyville Women's Club and the United Methodist Church of Libertyville. She was an avid sewer, and loved painting and cooking.
She is survived by her husband James, who she had married in 1951 in the United Methodist Church in Libertyville. She is also survived by her children Robert Hoult of Burbank, CA and Rebecca (Richard) Blake of Libertyville. She was the proud grandmother of Michael and Daniel Blake.
Funeral services will be at 5:00 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2003 at MCMURROUGH CHAPEL, 101 Park Place, Libertyville. Visitation will be Saturday from 3:00 p.m. until time of services. Yolanda Grace Laycock
Funeral service for Yolanda Grace Laycock (nee Rogers) 90, of Spring Hill, FL, formerly of Mundelein is 10 AM Tuesday at the KRISTAN FUNERAL HOME P.C., 219 W. Maple Ave. (2 blocks west of Rt. 45 on Rt. 176) Mundelein. Rev. Kenneth Press of the Community Protestant Church will officiate. Interment will follow in Diamond Lake cemetery, Mundelein. She was born September 9, 1912 in Chamois, MO and died Thursday March 20, 2003 at the Brooksville Hospice Center, Brooksville, FL.
Yolanda is survived by her loving sons Larry (Jewel) of Spring Hill, FL, John (Patricia) of Spring Hill, FL, loving daughters Carol (Don) Leikam of Tampa, FL, Elaine Witt of Rockford, dear sister Ruth Kolasinski of Diamond Lake, many many cherished grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and many fond nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her loving parents William and Gertrude Rogers, loving husband James, dear sons Alan (Jane), Robert, adoring brothers Wayne, Taft, Paul, Manse, Den, Marvin and Les Rogers, adoring sister Bonnie Sue Rogers.
Visitation is Monday from 4-9 PM at the KRISTAN FUNERAL HOME P.C. In lieu of flowers memorials to Hospice Care Center, 114 Chatman Blvd., Brooksville, FL 34601.

William B. McCrellias
William B. McCrellias passed away in Kankakee, IL on March 12, 2003. He was 87 years old, born in Quincy, Illinois to Ruth Murphy McCrellias and Isaac Franklin McCrellias.
He was a World War II veteran serving in the European Theatre in General Patton's Army.
Upon return to civilian life he was the owner and operator of Ruth's Apparel in Libertyville from 1950 to 1974. He was president of the Libertyville Lions Club.
His wife is Harriette (Sue) of Mundelein; daughter Kimberly (Cecil) Rumbo of Paris, TX; daughter Coleen DeSpelder died in 2001; grandchildren Spencer DeSpelder and Danielle DeSpelder of Bellaire, MI.
Interment private. Memorial service pending.

Robert A. Osborne
Robert A. Osborne, 59, of Zion, passed away on March 20, 2003 in Veteran's Westside Hospital in Chicago, following a brief illness.
Bob was born in Waukegan on December 18, 1943, and had lived in the Lake County area all of his life. He was a Vietnam War Veteran, and was retired from Johnson Motors. Bob enjoyed motorcycle riding, golfing, hunting and fishing.
Survivors include 5 daughters, Randy, Regina, Robin, Rochelle and Rhonda, 3 grandchildren, Nicholas, Amber and Logan and 2 brothers, Donald and Richard. He was preceded in death by his parents John and Jennie Osborne.
In accordance with Bob's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral. There will be a private cremation. CONGDON FUNERAL HOME in Zion is in charge of the arrangements. (847) 746-1234.

Albert Salvi
Albert Salvi, 78, of Long Grove, formerly of Lake Zurich, died suddenly on Friday, March 21, 2003. He was an accomplished attorney, who was the founder and senior partner of Salvi, Salvi, and Wifler. Born in Chicago, Mr. Salvi graduated from the University of Notre Dame and Northwestern Law School. He served in World War II in the Pentagon Signal Corp.
Mr. Salvi had a long and distinguished career. During his lifetime, he served as Lake County Magistrate, Lake Zurich Police Commissioner, President of the Lake County Bar Association, President of the Lake County Notre Dame Club, was named 1996 Italian Man of the Year, member of The Justinian Society, and served on the Board of Directors of the Catholic Lawyers Guild.
As important as Mr. Salvi's legal career was to him, his family was his life. He was the devoted husband of his loving wife, Marita (nee Williams), loving father of Patrick (Linda), Mary Kenitz (Scott), Catherine Wifler (Peter), Michael (Debra), Albert (Kathleen), Anne Hansen (Robert), Thomas (Gwen), Joseph (Bridget), and Barbara Wheeler (Joseph). He was a wonderful grandfather to all of his 39 grandchildren, a dear brother-in-law to the Williams family, and fond uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, world-renowned harpist, Alberto Salvi and by his mother, Anna Marie, and his sister, Livia.
A wake will be held on Sunday, March 23 from 3:30 to 9:00 p.m. at St. Francis de Sales Church, Route 22 and Buesching Road, Lake Zurich. The funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday, March 24, in St. Francis. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to The Reverend Joseph Firnbach Foundation of St. Francis de Sales School, P.O. Cecilia M. Skvarce, 83, of Waukegan, IL passed away at home on Friday, March 21, 2003 after a long illness. She was born on November 13, 1919 in Waukegan, IL. Cecilia was lovingly cared for by Josephine Yauder.
She is survived by her husband, Anton; a son, Anton Jr. (Kathy) of Fitzgerald, GA; a daughter, Gloria (Jim) Askew of Wadsworth, IL; five grandchildren, Mark, Scott and Ann Moll, Malia (William) Benavides, Jennie and Laurie Skvarce; two great grandchildren, Sarah and Aaron Moll; a brother, Raymond (Bernice) Grigutis; and a sister-in-law, Angela Grigutis.

Eva Anna Thibedeau
Eva Anna Thibedeau, 92, of Kenosha died on Thursday, March 20, 2003 at St. Joseph's Home in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin.
Eva was born January 12, 1911 in Spooner, Wisconsin, moving to Zion in 1941 and to Kenosha in 1994. On October 3, 1931 she married Lawrence Thibedeau of Spooner, in Spooner, Wisconsin.
Survivors include children Darvin (Lois) Thibedeau of Ft. Myers, Florida, Mona (Donald) Smith of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin and Nancy (Phillip) Wagner of Beach Park; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and brothers and sisters Ruth (Walter) Malinoski of Zion, Arnold Payson of Trevor, Wisconsin, Wayne (Christine) Payson of Trevor, Wisconsin, Melvin (Laverta) Payson of Spooner, Donna (Bernie) Hunter of Siren, Wisconsin and Edward Payson of Elkhorn, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence, two daughters Arless and Celeste, one son Gary, one grandson Herbert John Schrader, two brothers Vern Payson and Ernie Payson, two sisters Ilene Schultz and Martha Lyle and her parents Edward and Anna Payson.

Alicia Renee Wojciechowski
Alicia Renee Wojciechowski, 11, of Grayslake passed away on Friday, March 21, 2003 in Evanston. Born May 16, 1991 in Lake Forest to Alan and Karen Wojciechowski. Alicia was a student at Laremont School in Gages Lake, who loved watching game shows, going on walks and bubbles.
She is survived by her parents; her siblings, Karen (Al) Andersen of Portage, WI, Teri Rybarczyk of Elk Grove Village, Julie Underwood of Lake Villa, Greg Rybarczyk of Portage, WI, Justin Wojciechowski of Grayslake, Jeffrey Wojciechowski of Grayslake; brother-in-law, Dave Underwood of Grayslake; eight nephews; a niece; and her maternal grandparents, Dorothy Larsen and Blenn Bell of Grayslake. Alicia was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Alice and Ervin Wojciechowski.
Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at 1 PM on Monday, March 24, 2003 at St. Gilbert Catholic church, 301 E. Belvidere Rd, Grayslake, IL with Fr. James Merold officiating. Elizabeth M. Brookshire
Elizabeth M. Brookshire, 87, of Kenosha, WI died Saturday, March 20, 2004 at Aurora Medical Center. Born in Germany on August 15, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Paul and Selma Reichel Sr. She came to Kenosha as a young girl and resided here for many years. In June of 1982, she married Kenneth Brookshire. He preceded her in death March 22, 2002. She had been employed as a nurse at Condell Hospital in Libertyville, Illinois. She enjoyed dabbling in Real Estate and the stock market.
She is survived by a daughter, Deborah (Chris) Schnider of Winthrop Harbor, IL; a son, Richard Bertana of Addison, IL; two brothers, Paul Reichel, Jr. of Kenosha and George (Char) Reichel of Cleveland, OH; ten grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and husband.
Funeral services for Mrs. Elizabeth M. Brookshire will be held on Tuesday, March 23rd at PROKO FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, 5111 - 60th St, Kenosha at 3:15 PM. Private entombment at All Saints Mausoleum. Visitation will beheld on Tuesday from 2 PM until the time of the services at Proko Funeral Home.

Ingeborg E. "Betty" Dahlke
Ingeborg E. "Betty" Dahlke, 91, of Bristol, WI passed away Saturday, March 20, 2004 at her home. She was born December 31, 1912 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late Ernest and Anna (Baumann) Kusch, moving to Bristol in 1966. Betty was a member of St. Scholastica Church in Bristol and the Women of the Moose Chapter #735 of Antioch, IL. She worked as an inspector for the Standard Kolsman Co. before her retirement i 1969. On August 31, 1935, she married Edward H. Dahlke in Chicago and he preceded her in death on April 22, 2001.
Survivors include her nephew, Gerald (Fran) Kusch of Bristol; a grand niece, Lauren Kusch; and great grand niece, Amelia Kusch. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Walter (the late Florence) Kusch.
Funeral Services with Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, March 23, 2004 at St. Scholastica Church, Bristol, WI. Interment will be private.

Edward W. Gengnagel
Edward W. Gengnagel, 73, of Libertyville, IL passed away Saturday, March 20, 2004 at the Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. He was born December 4, 1930 in Butler, Indiana and had been a Libertyville resident for the past 36 years. He was a 1949 graduate of Butler High School and attended Indiana University in Fort Wayne. Ed was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served on an aircraft carrier during the Korean War and was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Libertyville. He was a Regional Sales Manager for the Glass Division of Ford Motor Company, retiring in 1986 and following retirement, Ed took a job that would create many memories and lasting friendships. He was the starter at Kemper Lakes Golf Course in Long Grove for 18 years.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy, a former Libertyville elementary school teacher; two daughters, Sally (John) Gillihan of Carmel, IN and Susan (Vic) Raibikis of Des Moines, Iowa; four grandchildren, Matthew and David Gillihan and Jack and Kesley Raibikis. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Julia Gengnagel; and by his sister, Ruth Chesky.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Wednesday, March 24, 2004 at the Grace Lutheran Church, 501 Valley Park Drive, Libertyville with Pastor Gordon Cavers officiating. Interment will be in Lakeside cemetery.

Claus F. Junge
Claus F. Junge, 87, of Round Lake passed away Friday, March 19, 2004 at Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington. Born October 13, 1916 in Round Lake, the son of the late Claus Junge Jr. and Lena D. Fraley. A Board Member of the First State Bank of Round Lake for over 50 years and a member of the Community Church of Round Lake.
He leaves his loving wife of 64 years, Leona (nee Cashmore) Junge; two children, Claus Gary Junge and David Stanley (Linda) Junge; his grandchildren, Scott Morley Junge, Robert Charles (Valerie) Junge, Jonathan David (Korinne) Junge and Michael Charles Junge; great grandchildren, Allison Korinne Junge and Charlotte Faith Junge; sisters, Nona Louise (Paul) Marxen and Annabelle (Eugene) Rurgion; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Alice Davis.
Funeral services will be held at 8 PM on Monday, March 22, 2004 at the STRANG FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM, 410 E. Belvidere Rd., Grayslake, IL, 60030 with Pastor Curry of the Community Church of Round Lake officiating. Interment will be privately held. Concetta "Tetta" Krakar
Concetta "Tetta" Krakar, 66, of Bonita Springs, FL, formerly of Waukegan, IL, passed away Friday, March 19, 2004 in Lake Forrest Hospital. She was born December 8, 1937 in Rochester, PA.
Graduated from Lincoln High School, raised in Midland, PA.
Survived by five daughters, Anna Marie (Odin) Cabal of Kenosha, WI, Joanne (Bryan) Seaman of Waukegan, IL, Carmen Krakar of Gurnee, IL, Agnes (Scott) Clark of Round Lake, IL and Sylvia Krakar of Kenosha, WI; and seven grandchildren.

Mary "Yvonne" Lindenbaum (nee Aspatore)
Mary "Yvonne" Lindenbaum (nee Aspatore), age 73, of Gurnee, IL passed away March 18, 2004 at Victory Memorial Hospital, Waukegan, IL. She was born October 1, 1930 in Fon du Lac, WI, and was a member of Immaculate Conception Church.
Mary graduated from Holy Child High School - Class of 1948, and became a RN in 1952. She worked as a Registered Nurse at Abbott Labs, until she retired in 1991. She also enjoyed working in the E.R. and Surgery Departments for Victory and St. Therese Hospitals. Yvonne enjoyed cooking and baking for family and friends, especially the Syrian dishes.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis in October 2003; two sons, Steve and Michael; her father, Louis Aspatore; and her brother, Charles.
Survivors include David (Debra) of Kenosha, WI, Cheryl (Steve) Levandoski of Beaver Dam, WI, Jim (Kathy) of Buckley, WA, Ann (Guy) Nakamura of Lindenhurst, IL and faithful companion, Jade, the Dog. Other survivors include her mother, Mary Aspatore; sister, Carole Bartholomae; three nieces; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren; and special friends, Elaine Drexel, Dorthea Noble, and Dorothy Hermann.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 23, 2004, at Immaculate Conception Church, 508 Grand Ave., Waukegan, IL.
