Shannon Grace Wallace
Shannon Grace Wallace was born August 5, 2003, at 6:23 a.m. at Evanston Hospital in Evanston, IL.
Her parents, grandparents and aunts were extremely blessed with the chance to hold her, baptize her and be a part of her hour-long life.
Shannon will be welcomed as an angel into the arms of her late maternal great grandfather, Theodore J. Stanulis, Jr., paternal great grandparents Robert Leo and Dorothy Wallace and Maxwell Gould.
She will forever be in the hearts and minds of her parents, Robert and Karen Wallace of Gurnee, IL, brothers Kyle and Blake, sister Caroline, grandparents Bob and Linda Wallace and Ted and Pat Stanulis of Gurnee, great grandparents Ollie Stanulis of Waukegan and Bernice Gould of North Attleboro, MA, and all of her aunts and uncles, cousins and friends across the country.
Funeral services will be private. Thank you to everybody who has Shannon and her family in their thoughts and prayers.

Sylvester "Sy" J. Gapinski
Sylvester "Sy" J. Gapinski, 73, of Lake Villa, IL, passed away on Friday, August 6, 2004, at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL.
He was born in Gilman, MN, of August 27, 1930, the son of the late Frank B. and Bernice Gapinski. He was a Veteran, serving with the U.S. Army. He was resident of the Lake Villa a for the past 41 years. He was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Lake Ville. He was a past member of the Moose-Waukegan Lodge. On August 25, 1955 he married Yvonne Ahles.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Yvonne; his children, Judy (Bruce) Gyllin of WI, Susan (Robin) Liddell of Lake Zurich, IL, Calvin (Alice) of Lake Villa, Carol (George R. Jr.) Jackson of Woodstock, IL, Kenneth (Susan) of Lena, IL, Karl (Jenny) of Lake Villa, Mark (Colleen McClory) of Crystal Lake, IL and Kathleen (Jason) Peters of George; 21 grandchildren and one great grandchild; and his brothers, Eugene, Dennis, David and Thomas.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard.
Funeral Services will be at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 10, 2004, from RINGA FUNERAL HOME, 122 S. Rte. 83 (Milwaukee Ave.) Lake Villa, IL 60046, to Prince of Peace Church, 10 a.m. Funeral Mass. Juadrena Anita Dowdell
Juadrena Anita Dowdell affectionately called "Drena D" by her family and loved ones departed this life on Saturday, August 7, 2004 at 8:20 A.M. God in his infinited wisdom out stepped the span of time and slowed down long enough to call one of his children home.
Drena was an awesome mother. Her children were the absolutely joy of her life. She was the best daughter, sister and friends in the world.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory: two devoted and loving sons, Deyonn and Dylonn Williams, both of Zion, IL; one "Little Princess" daughter, Seairra Williams, of Zion, IL; her fiance', Keon Williams, of Zion, IL; her parents, Darilyn (Amos) Monk, of Zion, and Brian Dowdell, of Zion, IL; one brother, Lance (Kelly) Dowdell, of Zion, IL; one sister, Tawana Monk of Zion, IL; her maternal grandfather, James Williams of Gary, IN; two uncles, James (Linda) and Michael Williams, both of Zion, IL; a special cousin, Tamerra (Frank) Picot, of Sand Diego, CA; a special friend, Tamara Craig, of Gurnee, IL; her "Best" friends and all of the members of the "Sista Girl Club"; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends.

Rudolph L. Jereb
Rudolph L. Jereb, age 75, of Waukegan, died August 9, 2004 in Zion. He was born December 15, 1928.
He was a veteran of the Korean War. He was active in Boy Scouts and attained the highest level as an Eagle Scout. He was also a member at Camp Oakarra in Wadsworth, IL. He retired from U.S. Steel and Abbott Labs.
He is survived by his aunt, Elizabeth Jereb, cousins, relatives, and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie; a son, Michael; his parents, Frank and Stephanie Jereb.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 14 at 12 Noon at MARSH FUNERAL HOME, 1521 Washington St., Waukegan with visitation from 11 AM until the hour of service at Noon. Burial at Northshore Garden of Memories at a later date.

Robert George Larson
Robert "Bob" Larson was born in Waukegan, Illinois to Lawrence and Margaret Larson on August 31, 1943. He passed away in Oakland, CA of August 6, 2004.
Bob was a graduate of Waukegan Township High School and advanced his education at Carleton College from 1961 to 1965. At that time, so typical of the 1960's, Bob became a free spirit, grew his hair long, bought a guitar and headed west. Arriving in Oakland, he first worked as a longshoreman and, for the last 25 plus years, as a printer.
Bob loved to play guitar, mandolin and banjo and, for several years, participated in Renaissance Fairs. He collected and read books with a passion and had a particular interest in all things Celtic/Irish.
Bob never married . He was preceded in death by his mother, father and older brother, Donald. He is survived and was loved by his two older brothers, Richard and Lawrence; two nephews, Lawrence and Eric; three nieces, Jacqueline, Christina and Kathleen; a grandnephew; and four grandnieces. We all wish him Godspeed and a hearty welcome into God's Kingdom. Local Funeral arrangements are entrusted to Warren Funeral home, Richard S. Zaehringer, Director, 1475 N. cemetery Rd, Gurnee, IL, 60031. He will be interred with his parents in Warren cemetery in Gurnee, Illinois. For funeral information, please call 847-855-2760.

Jane-Anne Monaco (nee Fromme)
Jane-Anne Monaco (nee Fromme), 53, of Waukegan passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2004 at Victory Memorial Hospital. She was born February 20, 1951 in Urbana, IL. She was raised in Waukegan and spent most of her adult life in Waukegan and Chicago. She had been a member of the First United Methodist Church. She had worked at the Chicago Tribune, also in the advertising business and had been a secretary at a Chicago law firm. She had devoted the last years of her life to raising her son.
Jane-Anne is survived by her son, Monte Monaco of Waukegan and her brother, Barrie Fromme also of Waukegan; and her niece, Ellyn Fromme of VA. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Vivian (nee Seidler) Fromme.
Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, August 14, 2004 at PETERSON AND PATCH FUNERAL HOME, 408 N. Sheridan Rd., Waukegan. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of services. Donations in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Jacob C. "Jack" Mueller
Jacob C. "Jack" Mueller, 81, of Bristol, WI passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2004 at his home following a lengthy illness. He was born October 6, 1922 in Chicago and was a former 10 year resident of Mundelein, living in Bristol since 1985. He was a 1940 graduate of Lane Technical High School and was the former owner of Mueller Printing Company in Chicago. He was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Gladstone American Legion Post #1119 in Chicago. Jack had served in the European Theatre during World War II and was highly decorated for Valor. He was also a former member of Our Lady of Victory Parish in Chicago and St. Scholastica Parish in Bristol.
Surviving are his wife of 58 years, Teresa (nee Nessler) Mueller; seven children, Paul (Kathleen) Mueller of St. Paul, MN, Kathleen (Wayne) Marino of Chicago, Jim (Toni) Mueller and Bill (Marge) Mueller both of Hoffman Estates, Tom (Mary) Mueller of Ballwin, MO, Diana (Larry) Kurtz and Dan (Jacqueline) Mueller both of Round Lake Beach; 20 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Helen Mueller; a grandson, Michael Marino; and his sister, Lucille.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 AM Monday August 16 at St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church in Fremont Center. Interment will follow at All Saints cemetery in Des Plaines. Visitation will be from 1 to 6 PM on Sunday at the BURNETT-DANE FUNERAL HOME, 120 W. Park Ave. (Rt. 176), Libertyville and for one hour prior Mass at the church. Charlie (Chuck) Phlegm, Jr.
Charlie Phlegm, Jr. was born on August 16, 1926 in Coldspring, TX to the late Reverend Charlie Phlegm, Sr. and Ida Mae Lampkin Phlegm.
Chuck served in the U.S. Army during World War II, Korean conflict and the Vietnam War. He was discharged from Fort Sheridan, Illinois. He retired after 20 years, from Fiat Allis in Deerfield, IL.
He leaves to cherish his memory, Nancy, devoted wife of over 20 years; two sisters, Sarah (Vernon) Carr, Mary Butler, both of Houston, TX; three step-children, Raymond DePriest, Jerry DePriest of Illinois, and Letitia (Leon) DePriest Frazier of Kansas City, KS; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Chuck departed this life at home on August 10th, after a lengthy illness. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 14 at the Christian Valley Baptist Church, 2690 Argonne Drive, North Chicago, IL. Reverend Henry Woods, Sr., officiating. Wake will begin at 9:00 AM, services at 10:00 AM. Interment at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion, IL.

Madeline (Lynne) J. Sullins
Madeline (Lynne) J. Sullins, 59, a former resident of Green Oaks passed away at home on August 11, 2004.
She was born January 21, 1945, in Chicago, IL. She worked side by side with her husband Chuck in operating Jiffy Cleaners in North Chicago for many years prior to retirement. She was a very artistic person and gifted seamstress. She had a love for making beautiful things.
Surviving are her husband, Charles H. Sullins; her daughter, Deborah A. Oborny and two grandchildren, Alexandra R. Oborny and Jacob J. Oborny. She is also survived by her mother, Mary Schreckeis and her husband, John of San Diego, California.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Sandra M. Sullins and her father, Matthew Kodis.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 14, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. at the Gurnee Funeral Home, 4190 Old Grand Avenue, Gurnee, Illinois. Visitation will precede the funeral Saturday from 12:00 to 2:00 P.M.
A second service will be held in Southern Illinois at Bailey Funeral Home, 705 North First Street, Vienna, IL on Monday, August 16, 2004. Visitation will be from 9:30 A.M. until 11:30 A.M. with the service at 11:30 A.M.

Louis J. Swoboda
Louis J. Swoboda, 86, of Lindenhurst, IL passed away on Wednesday, August 11, 2004 at Victory Lakes Continuing Care Center in Lindenhurst, IL.
He was born in Philadelphia, PA on August 21, 1917, the son of the late Louis Sr. and Anna (Nee Huegle) Swoboda. He was a resident of Lindenhurst since 1956. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the U.S. Army. During the war he participated in the Normandy landing and then went on to serve in the occupation force in Europe. He was a member of the Lindenhurst VFW Post 4894. HE was an active member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Lake Villa, where he served as an usher for many years. He was a member of the Prince of Peace Knights of Columbus- Council 12314. He retired from Ammco Tools Inc. after 25 years of service. On June 29, 1946, he married Ruby Coney. She passed away in 1997.
He is survived by his daughter, Bonnie (Jay) Bruski of Antioch, IL; his grandchildren, James L. (Dawn) Bruski, Robin (Tony) VanSickle and Christina Bruski; his great grandchildren, Darin and Zachary Bruski, and Thomas VanSickle; his brother, Robert (Mildred) Swoboda of Michigan.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ruby and his sisters, Elizabeth and Gerradine.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, August 14, 2004 from RINGA FUNERAL HOME, 122 S. Rte. 83 (Milwaukee Ave.) Lake Villa, IL 60046 to Prince of Peace Church, 10 a.m. funeral mass. Interment Highland Memorial Park cemetery, Libertyville, IL. Visitation Friday 4-8 p.m.

Cecilia C. Vincent
Cecilia C. Vincent, 81 of Antioch, IL passed away Thursday, August 12, 2004 at her daughter's home in Trevor, WI.
She was born September 16, 1922 in Chicago, the daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Del George) Vincenzo. She had lived in West Chicago, Westmont and Downers Grove before moving to Antioch 1952. Cecilia retired as a final inspector for Pickard China in Antioch after 25 years of service.
Survivors include two daughters, Marie (Larry) Carlson of Round Lake Beach, IL and Susan (Theron) Milligan of Trevor, WI; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one brother, Donald Vincent of Hoffman Estates, IL; two sisters, Theresa Kostner and Camille Kostner both of Downers Grove, IL and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, George Vincent.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Monday, August 16, 2004 at STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH, 1055 Main St. (Rte 83) Antioch. Interment will be in Hosmer cemetery, Bristol Twsp, WI. Visitation will be from 9:00 AM Monday until time of services. Friends desiring may make contributions to the Democratic Party, in her memory.

Becky Lynne Boening
Becky Lynne Boening, 59 years old of Island Lake, IL passed away Friday, August 6, 2004 at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, IL.
She was born April 9, 1945 in Berwyn, IL the daughter of Walter and Dorothy (Krieger) Peters. She lived most of her life in Lake County, was a graduate from Round Lake High School in 1963 and was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Ingleside. On September 18, 1965 she married Gary B. Boening in Round Lake and he preceded her in death on January 5, 1994.
Survivors include one son, Brian (Kari) of Grayslake, IL; one daughter, Michelle (Adam) Rehm of Lakemoor, IL; her mother, Dorothy Peters of Peoria, IL; five grandchildren, Shyan, Ryan, Daniel, Dana & Kyle; a sister, Deborah (John) Hulet of Washington, IL and a brother, Walter Jr (Judith) Peters of Cedar Rapids, IA.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her father, Walter Peters.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 PM Sunday, August 15, 2004 at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 25519 W. Hwy 134, Ingleside, IL with the Rev. W. Paul Weeg, officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM at the Church, until time of services. Private interment of cremains will be in Ridgewood cemetery, Des Plaines. Albert (Al) Brender
Albert Brender, 89, recently residing in Clearwater, FL, died of heart failure on August 8, 2004. He formerly resided in Highland Lake as well as in Grayslake, IL.
Al retired from Allis-Chalmers Mfg. Company of Deerfield, IL in 1978 and from the Hainsville, IL Police Department, where he was the Chief of Police for many years. He was a life long member of the Rising Sun Masonic Lodge #115 Grayslake, IL, a 32nd degree Scottish Rite, and a Shriner at Egypt Temple, Tampa, FL.
He is survived by his son, Kenneth Barnes of Columbia, MD; his daughter, Pat Beal of Sarasota, FL; and daughter, Betty Duperray of Atlanta, GA. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Linda Gregory of McHenry, IL, Teresa Barnes of Evergreen, CO, Tim Barnes of Columbia, MD and two great-grandsons, Christopher and Brandon Gregory of McHenry.
A memorial celebration of his life will be held on Friday, August 13, 2004 at 3:30 PM at the United Protestant Church, Grayslake, IL. Kevin Bradley Hammer
Kevin Bradley Hammer, age 26 of Gurnee passed away Monday, August 9, 2004. He was born April 18, 1978 to Geralyn and the late Bradley Hammer. Kevin had a talent for building things and will be most remembered for having a big heart.
He leaves his loving family to cherish his memory. His loving mother, Geralyn, loving brothers Keith and Stephen Hammer, both at home. He also leaves his aunts and uncles, Anthony Brown, Robert (Kimberly) Brown, and Linda (Christopher) Anderson and cousin Derek Brown.
The funeral service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday, August 14, 2004 at WARREN FUNERAL HOME, RICHARD S. ZAEHRINGER, DIRECTOR, 1475 N. cemetery ROAD, GURNEE, IL. 60031 (inside the main entrance to Warren cemetery, near the intersection of cemetery Road and Tri-State Parkway). Interment will be privately held. The friends are invited to the visitation, Friday, August 13, 2004 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturday, 12 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
