Marion L. Curry was born on February 19, 1955 in Pell City, Alabama to Rowland and Annie F. Curry. Marion was called to rest on August 8, 2006.
She leaves to cherish her memory two sisters, Annie (Charles) Wright of North Chicago, IL and Peggy J. (Howard) Dobbins of Waukegan, IL; three daughters, Switzerland Curry, Mary Little and Peggy "Nikki" Curry all of Waukegan, IL; four grandchildren and a hsot of nephews, nieces and friends including a very special son in law, David E. Little of Waukegan, IL.
Marion's father, mother, three brothers and a brother in law preceded her in death.

Andrew N. Boyer
Andrew N. Boyer passed away on August 9, 2006 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, after a courageous battle with Leukemia. Andrew was born on November 5, 1945 in Waukegan. He graduated from Waukegan Township High School in 1964. Andrew was employed at Comcast Cable for 25 years.
Andrew enjoyed family oriented activities. He had a love of fishing on the Wolf River in Fremont, WI and traveling with his wife to different locations around the US.
He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Pamela. He is also survived by the love of his life, his little princess, granddaughter, Megin Stitz of Waukegan; three children, Kara (Jason) Marques of Waukegan, Kevin Overly of Waukegan and Steven Stitz of Antioch; and a sister, Ella (Larry) Barton of Beach Park. He also leaves to cherish his memory a very special and longtime friend, Galen Prouty of Tupelo, MS.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Ella Boyer; a brother, Edward Boyer Jr.; and a sister, Jane Singer.
The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the doctors, nurses and staff at Northwestern Memorial Hospital for the excellent care and caring they bestowed on Andrew.
Funeral arrangements are being entrusted to Marsh Funeral Home. A private memorial service will be held.

June Marie Johnson (nee Lavezzi)
June Marie Johnson, 90, of Vernon Hills, IL, passed away August 9, 2006 at her home. June was born June 9, 1916 in Chicago, IL, She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Libertyville. For the past 60 years, she lived in Gurnee, Libertyville and Vernon Hills. June was a long time mink rancher in Gurnee and retired from the Waukegan News Sun as a supervisor in the Classified section.
She is survived b her son Warren D. (Barbara) Johnson Jr.; two daughters, Jeraldine M. (Roger) Howard, Judith A. (Joe) Swihart; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Muriel R. (Bill) Jacoby.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Warren (Doug) Johnson Sr.
Visitation will be held 2-5 PM Sunday and 8:30-9:30 AM on Monday. at MARSH FUNERAL HOME of Gurnee, 305 cemetery Rd., Gurnee, IL 60031.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, August 14, 2006 at 9:30 AM. Interment will be at Highland Memorial Park in Libertyville. Everett A. Hamilton
Everett A. Hamilton, Jr. , 86, of Lake Villa, IL passed away on Sunday, August 6, 2006 at Victory lakes Continuing Care Center in Lindenhurst, IL.
He was born in Belspring, Virginia on January 6, 1920, the son of the late Thelma and Everett, Sr. Hamilton. He was a veteran of WW II, serving in the U.S. Navy. He was retired from the Fiat Allis/Allis Chalmers Corp.. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast.
He is survived by his daughter, Lana (James 'Woody' Dyche) Hamilton of New Mexico; his grandsons, Bradley Hamill of New Mexico and Gregory Hamill of Virginia; and great grandchildren, Kaley, Laura and Ethan.
Visitation on Sunday, August 13, 2006, 4:30 - 6:30 p.m.. at RINGA FUNERAL HOME 122 S. Milwaukee Ave. (Rte. 83) Lake Villa, IL 60046.. Funeral services will be held in Dublin, Virginia. Burial will be at Sunrise Burial Park, Dublin, VA.

Betty June Holmes Malloy
Betty June Holmes Malloy, 72, of Gurnee, IL passed away on Friday, August 4, 2006, at her home. She was born September 27, 1933 in Reyno, AR. She was a member Dell Baptist Church in Dell, AR and retired from North Shore Food Catering and had been Project Manager for Civilian Food Service at Blytheville Air Force Base Blytheville, AR.
The family would like to extend to extend a special thank you to Jimmy Mohrman, Terry Mercado and Kenneth Persen for your loving care and support to our family and to Condell Medical Center Hospice Unit.
Betty is survived by her children, Pamela Kay Halsell Sullivan of Janesville, WI and Russell Allan (Debbie) Salmi of Gurnee, IL; her grandchildren, Brenna Kay Sullivan and Samatha Jo Salmi; brothers and sisters, Dorothy (the late Kenneth) Collier of Irving, TX, Sue McGruder of Blytheville, AR, sonny (Diane) Holmes of Whitehouse, TN, Bobby (Kathy) Holmes of Blytheville, AR and Syrilda (the late Don) Holmes of Blytheville, AR.

Charlie Mae Funderburk
Charlie Mae Funderburk, 90, of Winthrop Harbor died on Saturday, August 7, 2004 at Midwestern Regional Medical Center in Zion. Charlie was born December 9, 1913 in Fulton, Mississippi, to Lee and Cora Works, moved to Zion in 1950 from Red Bay, Alabama, and has lived in Winthrop Harbor since 1974. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Winthrop Harbor and she was Secretary/Treasurer of Funderburk Builders, Inc. of Winthrop Harbor.
Survivors include a daughter, Nellie (Don) Osborne of Winthrop Harbor; a son, Jim (Wendi) Funderburk of Wadsworth; grandchildren, Deborah (fiance, Paul Kisielewski) Cagle, April (Ron) Kaiser, Lorrie (fiance, Sultan Jumani) Funderburk and Jamie (Aixa) Funderburk; five great grandchildren, Rita, Amy, Jason, Matthew and Kyle; two sisters, Sue (Robert) Miller of Zion and Dezzie (James) Davis of Red Bay, Alabama; and four sisters-in-law, Bernice Works of Red Bay, Alabama, Bill Works of Corinth, Mississippi, Raider Truelove of Red Bay, Alabama and Wilma Funderburk of Red Bay, Alabama. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benjamin C. Funderburk; a granddaughter, Jane Bautista; three brothers, Arnold, Jim and Arnie Works; and a sister, Robbie Weeks.

Sylvester J. "Sy" Gapinski
Sylvester J. "Sy" Gapinski, 73, of Lake Villa, IL passed away on Friday, August 6, 2004 at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, IL.
He was born in Gilman, Minnesota of August 27, 1930, the son of the late Frank B. and Bernice Gapinski. He was a veteran, serving with the U.S. Army. He was a resident of the Lake Villa area for the past 41 years. He was a member of the Moose, Waukegan Lodge. On August 25, 1955, he married Yvonne Ahles.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Yvonne; his children, Judy (Bruce) Gyllin of Wisconsin, Susan (Robin) Liddell of Lake Zurich, IL, Calvin (Alice) Gapinski of Lake Villa, Carol (George R. Jr.) Jackson of Woodstock, IL, Kenneth (Susan) Gapinski of Lena, IL, Karl (Jenny) Gapinski of Lake Villa, Mark (Colleen McClory) Gapinski of Crystal Lake, IL and Kathleen (Jason) Peters of Georgia; 21 grandchildren; a great grandchild; and his brothers, Eugene, Dennis, David and Thomas. He was preceded in death by his brother, Richard.

Albert Edward Kumpfer
Albert Edward Kumpfer, age 75, died August 7, 2004, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah. Albert was born on June 27, 1929 in Chicago, IL. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Murray.
Albert is survived by his wife, Mrs. Joanne Ellen Salyor Kumpfer. They were married on October 14, 1950. His Two Daughters; Mrs. Nancy Lee Colby and her husband Robert of Northport, FL and Mrs. Gail Marie Bolton and her husband Keith of Bristol,WI. One son, Robert Kumpfer and his wife Mary of Bristol, WI. One sister; Mrs. Marilyn Elwood of Santa Ana, CA. Four Grandchildren; Joseph Robert Kumpfer, Julie Ann Eckhart, Brian Keith Bolton and Lindsay Bolton; Three Great Grandchildren, Jared Brian Bolton, Paige Madyson Bolton and Dylan JAcob Bolton.

John A. Malec
John A. Malec, 84, of Beach Park, Illinois passed away on Saturday, August 7, 2004 at Vista St. Therese Medical Center in Waukegan. John was born in Proctor, Minnesota on November 22, 1919 and married his late wife, Mary (nee Zernich) in November of 1946.
He was a veteran of the United States Navy having served 21 years during World War II and the Korean War. He retired as a Chief Petty Officer (ADC). After his retirement from the Navy, he worked for Bob & Doug Koss Amoco in Waukegan. John was an avid Chicago Cubs fan and was a 60 year member of the Waukegan Moose Lodge #706 where he was also Past President of NE Legion 169, and had The Pilgrim Degree. He was also a member of the Fleet Reserve of Great Lakes, IL.
John is survived by his daughter, Carol (John) Babnik of Beach Park; three grandchildren, John (Marielle) Babnik, Scott Babnik and Stacey (Chris) Clark; two great grandchildren, Madeline and John Babnik III; a sister, Betty (Gene) Backus of Edina, Minnesota. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary in 1993; as well as three brothers, Joe, Walt and Frank Malec.
Funeral Services will be at 10:30 A< on Thursday, August 12, 2004 at the SALATA-GURNEE FUNERAL HOME, 4190 Old Grand Ave with Fr. Paul J. Cull officiating. Interment with Full Military Honors will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Libertyville.

Marcella M. McCarthy
Marcella M. McCarthy, 90, of Lake Villa, IL passed away at Libertyville Manor Care in Libertyville, IL on Sunday, August 8, 2004.
She was born in Chicago, IL on August 20, the daughter of the late Nicholas and Clara Werdell. She was a resident of the Lake Villa area for the past 50 years. She was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Lake Villa and a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post #4308 Lake Villa. On June 4, 1949, she married Thomas F. McCarthy, he passed away in 1978.
She is survived by her daughters, Patricia A. McCarthy of Kenosha, WI and Jeannie M. McCarthy of Pleasant Prairie. WI; her grandson, Thomas (Alicia) Forman; and great grandson, Christian; and her brother, Gerard (Fran) Werdell of Hoffman Estates, IL.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sisters, Florence and Dorothy; and brothers, Nicholas, Raymond and Francis.

Mary Ellen Klarkowski
Mary Ellen Klarkowski, 85, Zion IL, formerly of Green Bay, passed away unexpectedly on August 3, 2006. Mary Ellen was born on July 20, 1921 in Johnstown Pennsylvania to the late James and Florence (Peyton) Crawford. She was a graduate of Johnstown High School, Class of 1939. She attended secretarial school in New York as well as attending the University of Wisconsin. She served her country during WWII as a member of the WAVE. She held many jobs during her career including doing secretarial work and data processing for the US Military and the University of Wisconsin Library. She was awarded several Certificates and ratings for outstanding service and excellence. In 1969 she married John J. Klarkowski and he preceded her in death on February 10, 2002. Mary Ellen loved Traveling and especially loved driving vacations. She was an avid reader and loved fine dining and social gatherings.
She will be sadly missed by her son James (Joanne) Leslie, Arkansas, grandchildren Laura (Fiancé Tom Riddle) Harris, Waukegan IL, Thomas Palmer, IL, Stephanie Palmer, IL, James Leslie Jr., Ark and Jonathan (Michelle) Leslie, IL, great grandchildren Megan, Kate, Jeffrey, Anthony, Lindsey, Tyler, Joshua, Desirae and Logan daughter-in-law Linda Rivera, IL and many other relatives and friends, too many to mention.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John, 2 sons Patrick Harris and Buddy Leslie, 1 brother Paul and 1 sister Dorothy.

Joe Totoni
Joe Totoni, 56, of Green Oaks, IL, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2006 at his home. He was born October 30, 1949 in Flint, MI, was a former nine year resident of Fox Lake, living in Green Oaks for the past 20 years. Joe was a truck driver for Sadler Trucking Corp., a postal carrier out of Nashville, TN. He also loved nature, flowers and motorcycle riding, especially his Harley-Davidson.
Surviving are his wife, JoAnn Totoni; two daughters, Nicole Totoni of Wadsworth and Michele Totoni of Green Oaks; his mother, Vivien Carpentier of Temecula, CA; three brothers, Jack Clemons of Brookfield, IL, Jon (Patricia) Clemons of New Mexico and Tom Carpentier of La Jolla, CA; his sister, Jeannine Hoelbl of Chicago.
He was preceded in death by his father, Michael Lopez and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Angelo and Elisa Totoni.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 am Thursday, August 10 at BURNETT-DANE FUNERAL HOME, 120 W. Park Ave. (Rt. 176) Libertyville. Interment will follow at Ridgewood cemetery in Des Plaines. Priscilla P. Chan
Priscilla P. Chan, 21, of Buffalo Grove, IL passed away Saturday, August 5, 2006 from injuries received in an automobile accident. She was born February 20, 1985 in Chicago and had been a Buffalo Grove resident for most of her life. Priscilla was a 2003 graduate of Stevenson High School and attended the College of Lake County and IIT in Chicago. During the summer last year, she worked for the Chicago Park District and this year was with Modern Classics Clothing in Buffalo Grove.
Surviving are her parents, Joseph and Susanna Chan; and brothers, Kenneth and Joseph W. Chan all of Buffalo Grove; her grandparents, Fiu-Ning and Chung Choi Kwan of Chicago; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at Noon, Friday, August 11, at the BURNETT-DANE FUNERAL HOME, 120 W. Park Ave (Rt. 176), Libertyville. Interment will follow at Lakeside cemetery in Libertyville. Visitation will be from 3 to 9 PM on Thursday. Info: 847-362-3009.

Jeanne L. Gilmour
Jeanne L. Gilmour, 83, of Gurnee, IL passed away Saturday, August 5, 2006 at the Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. She was born January 27, 1923 in Cumberland, MD and had lived in Libertyville and Gurnee for the past 35 years. Jeanne was a realtor and recently retired from Coldwell Banker in Libertyville. She was also a member of Joy Lutheran Church in Gurnee and the Libertyville Women's Club.
Surviving are three daughters, Pamela (Robert) Black of Belvidere, CA, Denise (John) Mandigo of Antioch, IL and Gwen (Michael) Havern of Palo Alto, CA; three grandchildren, Ryan and Kyle Wesemann and Ian Mandigo; and her sister, Betty Lou (Robert) Watson of Atlanta, GA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Riley and Hilda Laurence; and by her husband, Boyd "Bud" Gilmour in 1988.
A family graveside service was held on Monday, August 7, 2006 at Highland Memorial Park in Libertyville. A public memorial service will be announced at a future date. Arrangements are by the BURNETT-DANE FUNERAL HOME in Libertyville. Info: 847-362-3009.

Rose Brzozowski
Rose Brzozowski (Hart), 87, of Round Lake Park, died Sunday, August 6, 2006 at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. She was born November 25, 1918 in Chicago to Peter and Rose (nee Madden) Quinn. Rose was a member of St. Joseph in Round Lake and a founder of the Avon Social Club. An avid White Sox fan, Rose also loved to dance and sing.
Survivors include her children, Rosemary (Rich) Uscila of Round Lake Park, Arthur (Roberta) Hart, Jr. of Geneva, and James (Debbie) Hart of Lake Villa; her grandchildren, Vicki (Gus) Selle, Mike Uscila, Michael (Aliye) Hart, Christine Hart, Jimmie (Michelle) Hart, and Derek (Jen) Hart; her great-grandchildren, Mark, Paige, and Quinn Selle, Sean and Ryan Hart, and Halie, Elaina, Quentin and Cayden Hart; her brother, Raymond Quinn of Rolling Meadows; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
