William E. Miller
William E. Miller, 76, of Libertyville, Illinois passed away Tuesday, September 24, 2002 at Lake Forest Hospital in Lake Forest. He was born November 17, 1925 in Gary, Indiana and had been a Libertyville resident for the past forty six years. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII, and was a member of the American Legion Post #329 in Libertyville. Bill graduated from Tri-State University in Angola, Indiana, and had a rewarding career in Civil Engineering. He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Libertyville, loved golf, tennis, jogging, and volleyball; and participated in these activities prior to his ill health. He also participated in volunteer activities such as P.A.D.S., Meals-on-Wheels, and Big Brothers.
He is survived by his wife Doris (nee Horn) of Libertyville; daughter Diane of Grayslake; son John of Oak Park; sisters Lois Barnes and Wilda LaBerteaux, both of Crescent City, Florida. He was preceded by a brother, Robert Miller in July, 2001.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, October 3, at BURNETT-DANE FUNERAL HOME LTD., 120 W. Park Avenue, Libertyville, IL, with the Rev. Ouk-Yean Jueng officiating. Friends may visit from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Inurnment will take place at a later date in the family cemetery in Hudson, Indiana. Memorials may be made to the Friends of Renwood, or The Salvation Army, in his memory.

Margery (Stiehr) White
Margery was born July 12, 1945 in Covington, Kentucky to Eugene Ernest Martin and Helen Jeanette Apple, and adopted in 1948 by John and Loraine Stiehr of Wadsworth, Illinois. She grew up on the family dairy farm in Wadsworth, attended Newport Grade School and was a 1963 graduate of Zion-Benton High School. She worked many years as a cook and banquet manager, and most recently as a C.N.A. in Annandale, Minnesota. Margie enjoyed decorating, reading, gardening, nature walks and Bruce Springstein.
She is survived by two daughters, Angela (Glenn) Fries of Annandale, Minnesota; Cyndee Slayton Misso of Cocoa, Florida; two sons, Tim Slayton and Margquis Aultman of Kenosha; two sisters, Virginia Murphy of Wadsworth, Illinois and Jill Schechter of Deerfield, Illinois; five nieces, Tina (Scott) Meyer and Nicole Malcolm, both of Antioch, Illinois; Tanya Rose of Burbank, California; Hailey and Emily Schechter of Deerfield, Illinois; one nephew, Ken Stiehr of Wadsworth; a grandson Matthew Slayton; three grandnephews and one grandniece, all of Antioch.
She was preceded in death by a son, Matthew Aultman in 1972 and her brother, John Lee Stiehr, in 2000.
KENOSHA FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family. Interment will be in Millburn cemetery, Old Mill Creek, Illinois. (262) 652-1943.

Lois Jean Anderson
Lois Jean Anderson, 76, of Antioch, IL passed away Thursday, September 30, 2004 at her home. She was born September 15, 1928 in Chicago, living in Cicero, before moving to Antioch in 1980.
Lois had worked as a legal secretary for over 40 years. She was active with the Humane Society, Orphans of the Storm and the Schriner Hospital for Children, for many years.
Survivors are her sister, Carole Roe (Gordon) Brandsness of Antioch and her brother, Phillip W. Becker of Ocala. FL; her nieces, Jean M. Spencer of Antioch, Phylane L. Becker of Algonquin, IL and Karen Becker of California.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Clare M. Becker.
Funeral services will be held at 6:00 PM Sunday, October 3, 2004 at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH, 1055 Main St. (Rte. 83), with the Reverend C. Clyde Elledge of The Church of the Annunciation of Our Lady, Gurnee, IL, officiating. Visitation will be from 3:00 PM Sunday, until the time of services. Private interment will be in Millburn cemetery, Millburn, IL.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in her memory, to the Hospice of Northeastern Illinois, 410 S. Hager Ave., Barrington, IL 60010.

Henry V. Cook
Henry V. Cook, 64, of Zion, departed this life on Thursday, September 23, 2004, at his home. He was born September 30, 1939, in East Saint Louis, IL.
He is survived by his wife, Nellie Cook; brothers, George Cook, Milwaukee, WI, and Curtis Cook (Ruthie), Waukegan, IL; sister, Mary Lou Conner, Calhoun City, MS; sons Luther, Henry (Miranda), and Michael Cook (Tracy), Zion, IL; daughters, Jill Polite, Zion, IL, Nancy Cook of Minnesota, and Kiara Cook, Zion, IL; 17 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Profx and Nancy Cook; and brothers, Ernest and Jonelle Cook.
Visitation is Saturday, 10 to 11 am, with funeral services following at 11am-12pm at the Mt. Zion MB Church, 2500 30 St., Zion. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet cemetery in Zion.

Evelyn (Rappi) Geryol
Evelyn (Rappi) Geryol, 84, passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2004 at Winchester House in Libertyville.
A long-time resident of Waukegan, Evelyn was known by friends and family as a devoted mother and grandmother, a talented artist and seamstress. She enjoyed painting, arts and crafts, and spent time volunteering to help teach children how to sew. She was a former president of the Waukegan YWCA Women's Group and a member of the North Chicago Lioness Club. Evelyn was born November 16, 1919 in Tri Mountain, MI to Ina and August Rappi. After moving to Waukegan, Evelyn and her husband, Frank owned and operated Waukegan Store Fixture, for more than 30 years. Evelyn leaves behind two daughters, Joyce (Al) Swan and Janice (John) Jenkins; four grandchildren, John (Kristina) Jenkins, Jennifer (Robert) Carney, Kristine (Jeff) Hopkins and Robert Jenkins; 11 great-grandchildren; and six brothers and sisters, Robert Rappi, Earl (Helene) Rappi, Lorraine Schmeizer, Marilyn Burchett, Yvonne (Tom) Robertson and Ruth Galetano; other extended family and many friends.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her husband, Frank; parents, Ina and August Rappi and her sister, Beatrice May.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 4, 2004 at PETERSON & PATCH FUNERAL HOME, 408 N. Sheridan Rd., Waukegan, with Fr. James Merold officiating. Interment will be at Ascension cemetery in Libertyville. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 3-6 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Winchester House or the Alzheimer's Association.

Clinton O. Grinnell "Clint"
Clinton O. Grinnell, "Clint", age 72, Sheriff of Lake County, passed away Tuesday, September 28, 2004 at his home in Mundelein, IL, Freeport Township.
Clinton was born on December 13, 1931, in Libertyville, IL. He was raised in Libertyville, IL and attended schools within the Libertyville school system. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, Korean War. On May 28, 1955 he married Marion Diebold, lifelong resident of Fremont Township, Lake County, IL.
Mr. Grinnell attended numerous Police Schools over the past 38 years at Northwestern University, University of Illinois, and F.B.I. Academy. He was a graduate of the National Sheriff's Institute. He attended courses sponsored by the U.S. Department of Justice and the National Institute of Corrections.
His career started in July of 1955 at the Libertyville Police Department, in May of 1969 he became the Chief of the Libertyville Police Department, in December of 1982 he became Undersheriff of the Lake County Sheriff's Department. Then, in March of 1988, Clinton was appointed Sheriff of Lake County and in November of 1988 he was elected Sheriff of Lake County and had been re-elected for three consecutive terms, a title he held until his passing.
Clinton had many professional and personal affiliations over the years. His professional affiliations included the International Association of Chief's of Police where he served on Committee for Patrol & Tactics, National Sheriff's Association, Illinois Association Chief's of Police where he served on Executive Board and the Audit & Communications Committee, Illinois Sheriff's Association where he served on the Executive Board and the Training Committee, Fraternal Order of Police, Lake County Police Chief's Association, North Suburban Chief's of Police Association, Northern Illinois Sheriff's Association, Northeast Illinois Regional Training Board of Directors, Governors' Advisory Panel, and Part Time Auxiliary Police. His personal affiliations included the Lake County Fair Board Association where he was the Past Director, Lake County Farm Bureau, Lake County Museum, Libertyville American Legion, Libertyville Veteran of Foreign Wars, Grayslake Lions Club, Lake County Farm Heritage Club, and the Libertyville Ham Hocks Club. Past affiliations included the Libertyville Rotary Club and he was a 4-H Club Leader. His personal hobbies were draft horses, as well as collecting horse drawn farm equipment and antique farm tractors.
Survivors include his wife Marion Diebold; five children William Grinnell, Susan (Jeff) Grinnell Quint, Catherine Grinnell, Michael (Laurie) Grinnell, and Mark (Mary Lou) Grinnell; eight grandchildren Michael Grinnell, Rebecca Grinnell, James Quint, Justin Grinnell, Jordyn Ashley Grinnell, and Brandon, Shelby & Mikayla Grinnell; sister Frances Eiserman; brother Jack (Linda) Grinnell. Many nieces & nephews also survive.
Visitation Friday, October 1, from 3PM-8PM at MCMURROUGH FUNERAL CHAPEL, 101 Park Place, Libertyville (Rt. 176, 1 block East of Milwaukee Ave.). Funeral mass 10 AM Saturday, October 2, at St. Mary of The Annunciation Church Fremont Center. Private interment St. Mary cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to either the Salvation Army or the building fund of St. Mary of The Annunciation.

Patricia Linna
Patricia "Patsy" Linna, 60, of Kenosha and formerly of Zion, died on Wednesday, September 29, 2004 at her home.
Patsy was born September 5, 1944 in Ishpeming, Michigan and moved to Zion in 1962. She was a member of First Apostolic Church of Zion and she was an avid reader and sports enthusiast.
Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Ron; her children, Todd (Sandy) Linna of Beach Park, Illinois, Stacey (Todd) Mannebach of Atlanta, Georgia and Troy Linna of Kenosha, Wisconsin; two grandchildren, Valerie and Halea Mannebach; one brother, Allen (Mary Lou) Pescola of Calumet, Michigan; one sister, Donna (David) Connolly of St. Petersburg, Florida; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Wiljo and Ruth (nee Lehtinen) Pescola.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 2, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at First Apostolic Church, 39372 N. Carol Lane, Beach Park, Illinois, with Jim Torola officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. Visitation will be Friday, October 1, from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion.

Coretha Frances Moore
Coretha Frances Moore, of North Chicago, was born August 19, 1934 in Wybark, OK, to Chester Leo and Alberta (Bailey) Cozart. The great comforter cradled Coretha in his arms and took her home at the age of 70, on September 25, 2004.
Coretha departed this life in the comfort of the Terrace Nursing Home in Waukegan. She confessed to Christ at an early age in Oklahoma. While living in Oklahoma, she attended the Wybark Elementary School. She soon moved to Evanston, IL, where she graduated from Evanston Township High School. She moved to Waukegan, after graduating from high school.
Coretha married her beloved husband, Edward C. Moore on September 9, 1963. She was a faithful member of Christian Valley Baptist Church in North Chicago, where she was a nurse for many years, until her death.
Coretha was employed in civil service for many years, working at the VA Hospital in North Chicago, as well as at Fort Sheridan. She was also employed at J.C. Penny. She enjoyed cooking and baking, and entertaining family and friends. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband of 41 years; two daughters, Linda Terrell of North Chicago and Elizabeth (Oscar) Fields of Waukegan; five grandchildren, Shalanda, Merico (Elizabeth), Alcattio, Tamika, and Oscar Jr.; nine sisters, Cleora Cozart of Kansas City, MO, Elzata Cozart of Kansas City, Casandra Cozart of North Chicago, Constance Ingram of Kansas City, Deborh (Thomas) Horne of Kansas City, Jennien (Eddie) Wyatt of Kansas City, Mona (Ronnie) Dean of Kansas City, Bernice Cozart of Kansas City, and Vickie (Duane) Smith of Kansas City; four brothers, Leon (Betty) Cozart of Kansas City, Elmer Cozart of North Chicago, Albert Cozart of Kansas City, and William Cozart of Evanston; special friends, Louise Shepard of North Chicago, Willie D. Gaines of North Chicago, and the Ivery Family; six great-grandchildren, brothers-in-law and Sisters-in-law; and a host of nieces, nephews, and dear friends, who will rejoice in her memory.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Ricky Cozart of Kansas City. Visitation will be Saturday, 10 AM, until the 11 AM funeral service at Christian Valley Church, 2690 Argonne Dr., North Chicago. Rev. Woods will officiate. Interment will be in Mt. Olivet cemetery, Zion.

Lillian E. Narozny
Lillian E. Narozny, 83, of Libertyville, IL, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2004 at the Winchester House in Libertyville. She was born October, 19, 1920 in Chicago, where she lived for most of her life, moving to Libertyville in 2002. She was a former employee of the CNA Insurance Co. in Chicago and a member of the Worldwide Church of God.
Surviving are her daughter, Linda (Jim) Obenland; and four grandchildren, Eric, Jeffrey, Amanda, and Olivia, all of Libertyville.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Hjalmer and Augusta Adamson; and by three brothers, Elmer, Leonard, and Raymond Adamson.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 4 at the BURNETT-DANE FUNERAL HOME, 120 W. Park Ave (Rt 176), Libertyville, with the Rev. Richard J. Frankel officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeside cemetery. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service on Monday.

Antoniette L. Pascual
Antoniette L. Pascual, age 62, of Wadsworth, IL, died Wednesday, September 29, 2004. She was born January 17, 1942 in Tagbilaran Bohol, Phillipines. She was a member of St. Patricks Church for many years and was a member of Couples for Christ in Lake County. She was a Registered Nurse at the V.A. Hospital in North Chicago.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Frank Pascual Jr; loving sons, Frank Anthony, Kenneth Vince (Linda) and Dale Andrew Pascual. Two grandchildren, Carissa Marie and Kyle Kenneth. And six brothers and sisters.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, October 4 at 10 AM at St. Patricks Church. Burial will be private. Visitation at MARSH FUNERAL HOME, 305 cemetery Rd., Gurnee, IL on Sunday from 3 to 9 PM and Monday from 8:30 to 9:30 AM. (847) 336-0127

Roberta J. Ruble, 78, of Naples, FL, passed away Monday in Naples.
Survivors are her husband, Leo; daughter, Delores; granddaughter, Charity; brothers, Gerald (Gertie) Myers of Franklin Grove, IL, Russell (Joyce) Myers of Elkhorn, WI and Halden "Shorty" (Charlene) Myers of Bristol, WI; a sister-in-law, Vera Myers of Antioch, IL.
