Sabina Burnett
Sabina Burnett, age 78, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2003 at Sherman Hospital in Elgin, IL. Sabina resided in Ingleside and worked for Intermatic for 25 years. She was a special mom that cared about people regardless of who they were.
Sabina is survived by her children Wayne Burnett of Mundelein, IL, Steve Burnett of Panama City, FL, Sharon (Russ) Egan of Gurnee, IL, Karen (Tim) Beller of Lake Villa, IL, Norma Jean Burnett of Ingleside, IL, Alice Burnett of Shawnee, OK, her 15 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, her brothers Joe Meyer of Arizona, and Leo Meyer Jr. of Wildwood.
She was preceded in death by her parents Leo Meyer Sr. and Cora Meyer (nee Titus), her husband Norman Wayne Burnett, a special friend Gordon Michaelson, and a sister-in-law Joesephine Meyer.
A funeral mass is scheduled for Wednesday, September 24, 2003 at St. Gilbert Catholic Church, 301 E. Belvidere Rd., Grayslake, IL 60030 at 1 p.m. Friends of the family may visit on Tuesday, September 23, 2003 at STRANG FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM, 410 E. Belvidere Rd., Grayslake, IL 60030 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Memorials may be given to the family.

Floyd Adrian Davis Jr.
Floyd Adrian Davis Jr., 75 years old of Spring Grove, IL., passed away suddenly Thursday, September 18, 2003 from injuries received in an auto accident near Antioch, IL. His wife, Marie Louise Davis was with him and also did not survive. Floyd was born July 22, 1928 in Chicago, IL., the son of the late Floyd and Pearl (Frederichs) Davis, moving to Antioch, IL. in 1952 and to Spring Grove in 1994. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, was a member of St. Peter Church in Antioch and was a self-employed sales representative in construction.
On September 9, 1949, he married Marie Louise Hanstad in Chicago.
Survivors include his children, Susan (Carlos) Davis-Jimenez of Chicago, Sandy (the late James) Bradley of Antioch, Sharon (Vince) Rossi of Euless, TX, Floyd III (Sarah) Davis of Antioch, Sheryl (Pat) Russ of Phoenix, AZ, Ken (Jamie) Davis of Spring Grove, Steve (Jean) Davis of Antioch, Jim (Donna) Davis of Spring Grove, IL. and Barb (Karl) Beetschen of Lindenhurst, IL; his sister, Patricia (Melvin) Groh of Antioch; and his brother, Theodore (Millie) Davis of Minoequa, WI; 25 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Margaret (Roger) Stahl.
Funeral services for Floyd and his wife will be held at 10:00 AM Tuesday, September 23, 2003 at St. Peter Church, 557 Lake St., Antioch. Interment will be in Hillside cemetery, Antioch. Visitation will be from 3:00 until 8:00 PM Monday at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH, 1055 Main St. (Rt83).
Those desiring may make contributions to the Blessed Trinity Food Pantry, 557 Lake St., Antioch, IL. 60002 in their memory.

Marie Louise Davis
Marie Louise Davis, 73 years old of Spring Grove, IL., passed away suddenly Thursday, September 18, 2003 from injuries received in an auto accident near Antioch, IL. Her husband, Floyd Adrian Davis was with her and also did not survive. Marie Louise was born October 26, 1929 in Chicago, IL., the daughter of the late Lars and Marie Julie (Kristoffersen) Hanstad, moving to Antioch, IL. in 1952 and to Spring Grove in 1994. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Peter Church in Antioch. On September 9, 1949, she married Floyd Adrian Davis in Chicago.

Michael E. Davis
Michael E. Davis, 26 years old of Mundelein, IL passed away suddenly Wednesday, September 17, 2003 on arrival at Condell Medical Center, Libertyville, IL. He was born December 11, 1976 in McHenry, IL and has been a life long resident of the area, where he has worked as a carpenter in construction.
Survivors are his daughter Alicia, his companion Yadira and her son Jimmy, his mother Linda (Scott) Clark of Salem, WI, his father Michael (Lisa) Davis of Waukegan, IL, his maternal grandmother Frances Negrete of Round Lake Park, IL, two brothers, Peter and Phillip Davis and a sister Jennifer Davis, all of Salem, WI, a niece and nephew and many aunts and uncles.
Funeral Services with Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2003 at St. Joseph Church, 114 Lincoln Ave., Round Lake, IL. Interment will be in Ascension cemetery, Libertyville, IL. Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH, 1055 Main Street (Rte 83). In lieu of flowers, donations to the family appreciated.

Stephanie F. Dembinsky
Stephanie F. Dembinsky, age 85, of Waukegan, IL., passed away September 19, 2003 at the Waukegan Pavilion Nursing Home. She was born January 21, 1918 in Waukegan and was a lifelong resident. She worked as a practical nurse at St. Therese Hospital for many years, retiring in 1985.
Former member of St. Bartholomew Church and St. Therese Hospital Auxiliary.
Survivors include Sister "Marcia" Marcella Semha of Arlington, VA; and many nieces and nephews.
preceded in death by sisters, Winnie Stanovnik, Anna Dembinsky, Antoinette Rala and Nettie Howard; brothers, John and Stanley.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Monday, September 22, 2003 at 9:30 AM at Holy Family West on Keller Ave. in Waukegan. Visitation will be at Church from 9:00 AM until Mass. Burial will follow at Ascension cemetery in Libertyville, IL.

Catherine G. Fields
Catherine G. Fields, 85 years old of Antioch, IL passed away Saturday, September 20, 2003 at Northern Illinois Medical Center, McHenry, IL. She was born October 11, 1917 in Dyersburg, TN, the daughter of the late Charles Frederick and Mary Rachel (Adams) Cessel. She had lived in Evanston, IL for many years before moving to Antioch in 1980. Catherine was a home maker and a member of Holy Name of Jesus Church in Wilmot, WI. On July 2, 1937 she married Maxwell Fields in Valparaiso, IN and he preceded her in death on May 13, 1984.
Survivors include her daughter Cheryl E. (William) New of Antioch and her son Jack (Lynn) Fields of Gurnee, IL, her grandchildren, Bill (Joan), Greg, Tom, Jessica, and Sara and her great grandson Wil. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Virginia Miller, Violet Casterllanos and JoRuth Gross.
Funeral Services with Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2003 at Holy Name Church, Wilmot with visitation beginning at 9 a.m. Private interment will be in Memorial Park cemetery, Skokie, IL. Those desiring may make contributions for Masses or to the Antioch Rescue Squad, in her memory. Arrangements are by the STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH.

George F. Hewitt
George F. Hewitt, 81, of Elm Grove, WI and formerly of Keshena, WI (Legend Lake) and Waukegan passed away on Friday, September 19, 2003 at his home. He was born July 23, 1922 in Waukegan.
George was a member of Christ Episcopal Church in Waukegan, Shriners, Medinah Temple, and Beja Temple in Green Bay, WI. He retired from Outboard Marine Corp. in 1987 after years of service. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy during World War II.
He is survived by his son, Thomas (Jeanne) Hewitt of Elm Grove, WI; granddaughter, Anne Hewitt of Milwaukee, WI; brother Charles (Doris) Hewitt of Cincinnati, OH; and sisters, Genevieve (Ray) Sorensen of Lake Land, FL and Ida Zadigian of Waukegan.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Helen Hewitt in 1995; son George Hewitt Jr. in 1961; parents, Frank and Maud (nee Lewin) Hewitt and a brother, Harry Hewitt.
Funeral Services will be 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, September 23, 2003 at PETERSON & PATCH FUNERAL HOME, 408 N. Sheridan Rd., Waukegan with Fr. Albert Majkrzak from Christ Episcopal Church officiating. Interment will be at Northshore Garden of Memories in North Chicago. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10 a.m. to time of service on Tuesday.
Donations in his memory may be made to the Shriners Crippled Children Fund, 2211 N. Oakpark Ave., Chicago, IL 60635.

Evangeline Carrie Hodell
Evangeline Carrie (Johnson) Hodell. Survived by one son, Allan Reynold Hodell (Kandi); and one daughter, Judith May Zavacke (Leo); and her grandson, Erik Allan Zavacke.
She was born on July 23, 1917 in Racine, WI. married Allan Reynold Hodell Sr. on August 3, 1940. Graduated from the University of Wisconsin and received a masters degree from Roosevelt University, Chicago, IL. She was a business woman and an assistant principal at Neal Jr. High in North Chicago, IL. Allan Reynold Hodell Sr. preceded her in death in 1981.
There will be no visitation. Private Interment.
Arrangements under the care of MARSH FUNERAL HOME, 305 cemetery Rd., Gurnee, IL.

Elizabeth Lott-Hill
Elizabeth Lott-Hill was born on November 27th, 1932 in Brooksville, Mississippi to the late Wiley and Janie (Samuels) Williams. She left this earthly life to be with our heavenly Father on Tuesday, September 16th, 2003. At an early age, she confessed a hope in Christ at Prairie Grove Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor Clay in Brooksville, Mississippi. She attended the Kankakee School System and graduated in 1949. In April 1952, she was united in marriage to the late Scott E. Lott, Sr. She traveled extensively with her husband until his death. Elizabeth was active in the community in Racine, WI in the early 1970's. In 1977, she moved her children to Zion, IL and became a member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor Roosevelt Tart. In 1985, she became a member of the Greater Faith Church-Baptist where she served faithfully until the Lord took her home. She was a member of the Voices of Greater Faith for many years and also the Mother's Ministry. In 1988, God blessed her again and married John William Hill. Elizabeth always had one goal and that was to become a published author and to God be the glory, her book was released nationally in May 2003, "Summer of 1988." She retired from the VA Medical Hospital in 1980 and from the Great Lakes Naval Training Base in 1996. She touched all those that she came in contact with.
She leaves to cherish her memory: Loving and devoted husband, John Hill, Kenosha, WI; four daughters: Evangelist Marilyn Lott, Atlanta, GA; Narkeater (Gary) Smith, Waukegan, IL; Frozene (Robert) Hayes, Kenosha, WI; Antoinette Slater, Zion, IL; nine sons: Scott (Joyce) Lott, Waukegan, IL; John R. Hill, Marietta, GA; Karl (Trina) Lott, Kenosha, WI; Scott Hill, Park City, IL; Clarence (Lisa) Lott, Nashville, TN; Alphonso (Belinda) Lott, Waukegan, IL; Phillip (Sandra) Hill, Racine, WI; Julian Lott, Kenosha, WI; Min. Allen D. Lott, Sr., Kenosha, WI. Six sisters: Mattie Carothers, Racine, WI: Georgia Smith, Memphis, TN; Julia (Herman) Smith, Grand Rapids, MI; Ethel Williams, Benton Harbor, MI; Addie Dean, Grand Rapids, MI; Maddie Williams, Racine, WI. One brother: Hinds Williams, Racine, WI. Three sister-in-laws: Lucy Williams, Racine, WI; Judy Holloway, Zion, IL; Marguerite (Kenneth) Howard, Joliet, IL; One brother-in-law: Jesse Hill, Chicago, IL; Special-Son-In-Law: Gregeory Slater, Waukegan, IL; Twenty-four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. She also leaves adopted children in Christ as her very own: Demetrius Daniels, Duane Denton, David Duerson, Michael Duerson, Ethel Gardiner, Zerbinetta Nichols, Kay Wilson and many others.
A daughter, a husband, her parents, two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
A Funeral Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Monday, September 22, 2003 at the Greater Faith Baptist Church, 565 Powell Avenue, Waukegan, IL. Pastor C.L. Fairchild, Officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the church. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park cemetery, Zion, IL. The burial procession will leave the church Tuesday morning at 10:00 A.M. Arrangements by BRADSHAW & RANGE FUNERAL HOME, 2513 Dugdale Road, Waukegan, IL.

Edward F. Moran
Edward F. Moran, 78, of Waukegan passed away on Saturday, September 20, 2003 at the Veteran's Administration Medical Center in North Chicago. He was born November 16, 1924 in Waukegan and remained a lifelong resident. He was a life member of St. Anastasia Parish, a veteran of World War II serving in the Marine Corps, a member of Homer Dahringer American Legion Post 281. Prior to retirement he had worked at Johnson Motors for over 30 years.
He is survived by his children, Janet (Bob) Wallace of Bolingbrook, IL, Mike (Barb) Moran of Menomonee Falls, WI, Kathy (Chuck) Clement of Gurnee and Peggy (Jerry) Williams of Waukegan; grandchildren, Brian (Julia), Ken, Mat and Amanda Wallace, Ryan (fiancee Lisa), Darren (Kelly) and Megan Moran, Laurie (Jim) Brattensborg, Karen (fiancee Brian), Diane (fiancee Adam) and Jackie Clement, Nicole and Eddie Williams.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dolores in 1981 and by his parents, Edward F. and Margaret (nee Wildner) Moran.
Family and friends will meet at St. Anastasia Church, 624 Douglas Ave., Waukegan at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, September 23, 2003 for Funeral Mass. Interment will be at Ascension cemetery, Libertyville. Friends may call at PETERSON-PATCH FUNERAL HOME, 408 N. Sheridan Rd., Waukegan on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m.

Cecil J. Reimers
Cecil J. Reimers, 78, of Mundelein, IL, passed away Friday, September 19, 2003 at his home. He was born February 4, 1925 in Lamoure County, ND and was a 1943 graduate of Austin High School in Minnesota. Following graduation, Cecil enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he served as a hospital corpsman in the Pacific Theatre during World War II and was a member of the Libertyville VFW Post #8741. He was a former employee of the Day-Buttemiller Clinic in Libertyville and served as a medical technologist at Condell Hospital for 43 years.
Surviving are four sons, Phillip (Terri) Reimers of Grand Prairie, TX, Glen (Chris) Reimers of Aurora, IL, Gary (Tracey) Reimers of Racine, WI and James Reimers of Dallas, TX; eight grandchildren, Jeremy, Erik, Ashley, Alyssa, Kyle, Kristopher, Luke and Katerina; four sisters, Ione Leeman of St. Paul, MN, Phyllis Jensen of Cerritos, CA, Ardith Erickson of Fort Walton Beach, FL, and Teri Johnston of Austin, MN; two brothers, Robert Reimers of Austin, MN and Lloyd Reimers of Walnut, CA; He was the loving uncle to numerous nieces and nephews and also surviving are many cousins and friends, including his dear cousin Larry Reimers of Prospect Heights and dear friend Chester Citterman of Mundelein.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Edith Reimers, by his brothers, Basil and Charles and sister Naomi Braten.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 23 at the BURNETT-DANE FUNERAL HOME, 120 W. Park Ave. (Rt. 176) Libertyville. Funeral services will be during the visitation at 7 p.m. Interment will be at Memorial Park cemetery in Austin, MN.
