Sine Petersen, 93, of Waukegan, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2002 at her home. She was born. She was born June 16, 1909 in Felsted, Denmark. She was a member of Trinity United Lutheran Church of Waukegan, and the Danish Sisterhood of Waukegan.
Survivors include a son Clifford (Cami) Petersen of Hoffman Estates; a grandson Todd Petersen of Hoffman Estates; 2 nieces, Lillian Jenskow of Springfield, IL and Birthe (Richard) Schott of Florida; 2 nephews, Dr. Malcolm Jendresen of South Salito, CA, and Bjarne (Janne) Clausen of Denmark. She was preceded in death by her husband Laurits in 1994, a brother and a sister.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, November 25, 2002 at Trinity United Lutheran Church, 658 West Grand Ave., Waukegan, IL, with Dennis Kelly officiating. Burial will be in Northshore Garden of Memories in North Chicago. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. Sunday, November 24, 2002 at MARSH FUNERAL HOME OF WAUKEGAN, 1521 Washington St., and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at the church.

Rose Popit (nee Kirn)
Rose Popit (nee Kirn), 88, of Waukegan died Thursday, November 21, 2002 at Manor Care, Libertyville.
She was born September 1, 1914 in Waukegan, where she remained a resident all of her life and was a member of St. Anastasia Church.
Rose is survived by three daughters, Sr. Mary Popit S.H.C.J., Patricia (Dr. Ronald D.D.S.) Stanczak and Sr. Kathleen Popit, S.H.C.J,; a son, Attorney, Peter (Ellen) Popit; six grandchildren, Michael (Mindy) Stanczak, Amy (Peter) McKernan, Mark (Amy) Stanczak, Edward "Ned" Peter Popit, Kevin Popit and Mary Frances Popit; four great grandchildren, Nicholas Stanczak, Andrew, Ryan and Ian McKernan.
Rose was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Peter Popit, November 10, 1995; her brothers, Ignatius, James P. and Frank "Kacki" Kirn; and her sisters, Frances Ogrin and Helen Drasler.
Funeral Mass will be at 10:30 AM Monday, November 25, 2002 at St. Anastasia Church. Entombment will follow at Ascension cemetery, Libertyville.
Visitation will be Sunday from 5 to 7 PM at the SALATA-GURNEE FUNERAL HOME, 4190 Old Grand Ave, Gurnee and Monday from 10 to 10:30 AM at St. Anastasia Church.

Jeanne Strenger Proehl, 79, of Lake Forest, November 21, 2002.
Wife of the late Norman Preston Proehl; Mother of Steven G. (Mary Kate McIntosh) Proehl and Thomas S. (Lynn Mumby) Proehl; Grandmother of Kira and Janna; Sister of the late Marshall C. Strenger and Donald S. Strenger.
Memorial service 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 24, 2002 at the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Forest, 700 N. Sheridan Rd, Lake Forest. Interment Private. Darlene Williams
Darlene Williams, 59, a lifelong resident of Waukegan, IL went home to be with the Lord on November 20, 2002 at the Victory Memorial Hospital, Waukegan, IL.
Darlene was a faithful member of the Gideon Missionary Baptist Church, Waukegan where she served the Lord as an usher and first-aider. Darlene was Director of Community Support Services at the Lake County Health Department for 12 years. Prior to that she was a head nurse for the Veterans Affairs and St. Therese Hospitals. She was an active member of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, a loving and devoted Girl Scout Leader along with a host of other community involvements.
Darlene leaves to cherish her memory her mother, Alberta Dunklin of Phoenix, AZ; a loving husband, Robert Williams of Waukegan; two daughters, Tamara (Charles) Davis of Zion and Tonya Williams of Waukegan; a grandson, Darrien Davis; two granddaughters, Brittne and Briana Davis; an aunt, Gladys Jones of Wisconsin; and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Willie J. Dunklin.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 AM Tuesday, November 26, 2002 at the Gideon Missionary Baptist Church, 1500 Ridgeland Avenue, Waukegan, IL with Rev. Robert Brown officiating. Entombment will be at Warren cemetery, Gurnee, Illinois. Visitation will begin at 10 AM at the church. Arrangements by BRADSHAW AND RANGE FUNERAL HOME, 2513 Dugdale Road, Waukegan, IL. 847-662-3553.

Ethel A. Stried
Ethel A. Stried, 84, of Zion passed away on Friday, November 21, 2003 at Victory Memorial Hospital in Waukegan.
Ethel was born February 9, 1919 in Watertown, Codington County, South Dakota to the late Arney A. and Ella Cliff. She moved to Zion at the age of 13 with her parents. She worked at the Candy Factory in Zion, at Abbott Labs in North Chicago and she played the organ at her brother's roller rink, The Ardon, in Zion years ago. She also taught piano and organ for over 50 years to "hundreds" of students and she earned the Hall of Fame award from the National Guild of Piano Teachers.
She is survived by two sons, Gene (Margaret) Stried of Zephyrhills, Florida and Roger (Tammy) Stried of Zion; two daughters, Pamela (Terry) Wickersheim of Zion and Patricia (Michael) Krueger of Kenosha, Wisconsin; 14 grandchildren, Alan Stried, Sheri, Corbett, David and Daniel Brown, David and Shawn Wickersheim, Dawn Musich, Wesley and Melissa Snow, Angela and Philip Broker Jr. and Tahnee and Timothy Krueger; and 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by nine brothers, Arland, Alvin, Merle, Erling, Arnie, Ralph, Merril, Sidney and Marvin Cliff.
Visitation will be Tuesday, November 25, 2003 from 5 to 8 PM at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, November 26 at 10:30 AM at the funeral home with interment to follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion.

Mamie V. Worthington
Mamie Valerie Worthington was born February 14, 1957 to James and Evertis Gilmore. She accepted the Lord in her life at an early age. She unexpectedly departed this life on Tuesday, November 18, 2003 in Houston, Texas. She was a graduate of Zion-Benton High School in Zion and attended colleges in Illinois and Texas. She was employed by the Port of Houston.
She leaves to continue celebrating her life her husband, William; three sons, Eric, Douglas and William Jr.; two daughters, Elouise (Israel) Burks and Karen Worthington; a grandson, Eric Jr.; three granddaughters, Ayesha, Tia and Isabelle; her father, James (Fannie) Gilmore; four sisters, Bertha (James) Oliver, Jeanell (Reggie) Hooker, Rita (Johnnie) Jones and Tonjia (Del) Yarbrough; six brothers, Roy (Tina) Gilmore, Raymond (Wanda) Gilmore, Eric Gilmore, Rodney (Rose) Gilmore, Alexis (Carolyn) Gilmore and Gregory (Tonya) Gilmore; a very special mother-in-law, Eloise Worthington; a special uncle and aunt, George and Gladys Fullilove; a very special sister-in-law, Michelle Haskins; a very special friend, Linda Cobb; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her mother, Evertis Gilmore; and a sister, Gracie Gilmore.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2003 at 11 AM at Christian Faith Fellowship Church, 1727 27th Street, Zion, Illinois with Bishop Joseph Coburn Sr. officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10 AM until time of services at Christina Faith Fellowship Church. In charge of arrangements is the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, Zion.

Robert A. Breen
Robert A. Breen, age 99, passed away at his home in Wheeling, IL on Saturday, November 20, 2004. The memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 23, 2004 at Warren Funeral Home, Richard S. Zaehringer, Director, 1495 N. cemetery Rd., Gurnee, IL 60031.

William A. Cascarano
William A. Cascarano, 81, a lifetime resident of Lake Forest died November 20, 2004. Born in Lake Forest, March 21, 1923, the son of the late Charles and Rose Mortensen Cascarano. Mr. Cascarano was the Golf Pro at the Deerpath Golf Course in Lake Forest from 1951 to 1970. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, WWII, tank corps serving in Italy, Africa and Germany and was the recipient of the Purple Heart with Three Clusters.
Husband of Dorothy E. Cascarano; brother of Anthony Cascarano of Lake Forest, Celeste Pierman of Waukegan, Sena Placentino of Lake Forest and the late Charles Cascarano (1994); uncle of Kimberly Placentino, Susan Pierman, Patricia Larson, Jack Pierman and Richard, Craig and Thomas Cascarano.
Memorial service 11 a.m. Saturday, November 27 at the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Forest - Deerpath at Sheridan Road. Interment will be private. No visitation.
Please omit flowers; contributions may be made to the Cardiac Care Unit at Lake Forest Hospital, 660 N. Westmoreland, Lake Forest, IL 60045.

Marian B. Farmer
Marian B. Farmer, 76, of Vernon Hills, IL, passed away Mon. Nov. 22, 2004 at the Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. She was born Oct. 22, 1928 in Fairmont, MN and was a former resident of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and Sunnyvale, CA. Marian was also a former 27 year resident of Niles, living in Vernon Hills since 1997. She was a graduate of the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, where she was a member of the Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. She was also active with the League of Women Voters and a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
Surviving are 4 children, Randall (Michele) Farmer of Mundelein, Ralph (Tonia) Farmer of Hillsboro, MO, George (Colleen) Farmer of Dubuque, Iowa, Bylo Jane Farmer of Boulder, CO and 8 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harold and Catherine Blesi, by her husband David "Hap" Farmer in 1992 and by her sister Jane Slight.
Funeral services will be held at Noon, Wed. Nov. 24 at the Lakeview Presbyterian Church on Lakeview Parkway, 1 mile N. of Route 60 in Vernon Hills. An interment service will be at 11:00 A.M. Sat. Nov. 27 at Lakeside cemetery in Fairmont, MN. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday at the BURNETT-DANE FUNERAL HOME, 120 W. Park Ave. (Rt. 176) Libertyville. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Mary of Vernon Church Building Fund (Organ Fund) in her memory.

Lois Keske (nee Leitch)
Lois Keske (nee Leitch), 87, of Zion went home to be with her Lord on Friday, November 19, 2004 at Victory Memorial Hospital in Waukegan.
Lois was born April 24, 1917 in Zion where she married Ernie Keske in 1939. She was an active member of Christ Community Church of Zion where she taught Sunday School for over 40 years, was a member of the Zion Passion Play and belonged to the Ladies of the Dorcas. She also served as a room mother at both Elmwood and East Schools, as a Cub Scout Den Mother and she belonged to the Zion PTA, the band parents of Zion, and more recently, the Zion Senior Citizens Club.
Survivors include two sons, Ernest R. "Richard" (Marsha) Keske of Waukegan and Larry A. (Sharon) Keske of Beach Park; grandchildren, Scott (Pamela) Keske, Brett (Amy) Keske, Dawn (Gary) Grant, Beth (Jason) Klawonn, Michael (Tammy) Keske, Matthew (fiancee, Casey Kundert) Keske and Marc Keske; and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernie Keske; two brothers, Leslie Leitch and Willis Leitch; and her parents, Allastair and Christina Leitch.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 24, 2004 from9 to 11 AM at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, with funeral services to be held at 11 AM, Pastor Jon Wiziarde officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. Memorial donations to Camp Zion Ministries of Christ Community Church have been suggested.

Ronald F. Latz
Ronald F. Latz, 76, of Spring Hill, FL died Saturday, November 20, 2004 at Oak Hill Hospital in Spring Hill, FL. He was born in North Chicago, IL and moved to Spring Hill, FL 13 years ago from Waukegan, IL. He worked as a supervisor for West Vaco Envelope Co. for 42 years, was an avid golfer, loved gardening, was a member of the Springwood Estates Crime Watch, served in the U.S. Army, and was of the Catholic faith.
He is predeceased by an infant son, Michael Lloyd Latz; and his parents, Frank and Anna Latz.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Margaret J. of Spring Hill; a son, David A. of Beach Park, IL; a daughter, Annette J. Watkins of Altamonte Springs; two brothers, Clifford of Mundelein, IL and Eugene of Lindenhurst, IL; and three grandchildren, Brian Latz and Adam and Danielle Watkins.

Warner J. Russell
Warner J. Russell, 70, of Zion died on Thursday, November 18, 2004 at Lexington Health Care Nursing Home in Lake Zurich, IL. He was a former resident at Carmel House in Zion.
Warner was born March 13, 1934 in Escanaba, Michigan, and worked as a watch repairman in a jewelry store in Chicago.
Survivors include a daughter, Stephine (Dan) Latondress of Waukegan, IL; two sons, Warner C. (Catherine) Russell Sr. of Island Lake, IL and Dale Russell of Las Vegas, Nevada; seven grandchildren, Warner C. Russell Jr., Christopher Russell, Alex Russell, Jason Latondress, Erika Latondress, Amy Russell and Jeremy Russell; a brother, David (Terri) Russell of Fort Pierce, Florida; and two sisters, Mary Ann Osborne of Zion, IL and Linda Klopstein of Las Vegas, Nevada. He was preceded in death by his father, Warner E. Russell in 1976 and mother, Ann Whelan in 2004.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, November 23, 2004 at 7:30 PM at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion with Father David Mulvihill of Our Lady of Humility Catholic Church of Beach Park officiating. Interment is private for the family. Visitation will be from 5 PM until the time of services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the Zion Professional Firefighters Association, 2828 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL, 60099.

Phyllis M. Sibley
Phyllis M. Sibley, 85, of Libertyville, IL passed away suddenly Sunday, November 21, 2004 at the Condell Medical Center. She was born December 25, 1918 in Highland Park, IL, was formerly of Vernon Township and a Lake County resident all her life. She was a member of St. Joseph Parish and the Guild of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Libertyville and also enjoyed the Vernon Hills Seniors. Phyllis and her family were the former owners of Chief's Antiques in Half Day and she would later own Phyllis Sibley Antiques on South Milwaukee Ave between Vernon Hills and Half Day for many years.
Surviving are her daughter, Diana (George) Capaul of Grayslake; four grandchildren, Dean (Judy) Kick of Oak Creek, WI, Cindy (Dan) Harris of Libertyville, John (Camille) Capaul of Highland Park and Dr. Suzanne (Dr. Michael) Hites of Las Cruces, NM; seven great grandchildren, Ryan, Sarah, Jacob, Melissa, Victor, Nathan and Samantha; and a brother, Andrew "Duke" (Ruth) Erickson of Wilmington, NC.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Louise Erickson; by her husband, Calvin Sibley in 1985; by her daughter, Carol Kick in 2004; by a great granddaughter, Cassandra; and brothers, Patrick and Jack.
Prayers will begin at 9:30 AM Wednesday, November 24, 2004 at the BURNETT-DANE FUNERAL HOME, 120 W. Park Ave (Rt. 176), Libertyville and services will continue to St. Joseph Church for Funeral Mass at 10 AM. Interment will follow at St. Mary's cemetery in Highland Park. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Joseph School Endowment Fund, 121 E. Maple, Libertyville, IL, 60048 in her memory.
