Dr. Robert L. Finn, D.C.
Dr. Robert L. Finn, D.C., 61, of Salem died Monday, November 15, 2004 at his residence. Born September 10, 1943 in Belmond, IA, he was the son of the late Robert M. and Laura L. (Vought) Finn.
He attended schools in Iowa, graduating in 1961 from Belmond Community High School and later graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, IA. From 1992 until 1994, he attended UW Parkside to receive additional licensure.
On June 17, 1989 at Pleasant Prairie United Methodist Church, he married Tonya L. Mock.
After graduating from Palmer College of Chiropractic, he was employed in Missouri for four years as a chiropractor, after which for 12 years, he was employed with Ford Motor Company of Kansas City, MO. He then was employed with the Zion Nuclear Power Station, taking time out to practice Chiropractics in Milwaukee with Brooks Chiropractic Clinics for a year and later returned to Zion, working for three years for Burns International Security. More recently, he was employed with I.T.O. Industries Inc, in Bristol as a waste water operator.
He enjoyed boating, fishing, golfing and playing tennis. His spare time was spent working in his yard and spending time with his grandchildren and family.
Survivors include his wife, Tonya Finn of Salem; three sons, Brian (Kathleen) Finn of Salem, Todd (Shannon Houston) Finn and Terry (Lisa Altergott) Finn both of Kenosha; a daughter, Michelle Finn of Oak Creek; two step daughters, Tara Roiniotis and Tracey Ryan both of Salem; two sisters, Ellen (Elden) Kew of Harrisonville, MO and Carol Finn of Mason City, IA; and 10 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Wanda Finn.
Friends and relatives are asked to meet with the family on Friday, November 19, 2004 from 5 to 7 PM at the PIASSECKI-ALTHAUS FUNERAL HOME, 3720-39th Ave, Kenosha, WI, 53144. Frank J. Goldberg
Frank J. Goldberg, 68, of Mundelein, IL passed away Monday, November 15, 2004 at the Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. He was born March 21, 1937 in Brooklyn, NY and had been a Mundelein resident for the past 30 years. Frank was a graduate of Oklahoma State University and received his masters degree from Villanova University in Philadelphia. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. having served in the Korean War. Frank had been the president of the F.J.G. & Associates Consulting Firm in Mundelein and was a member of the Waukegan Yacht Club.
Surviving are two children, Eric (Janet) Goldberg of Columbus, Ohio and Renee (Scott) McFarland of Pleasant Prairie, WI; and two grandchildren, Jeremy McFarland and Kevin Hyun Soo Goldberg.
A visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM on Thursday, November 18, 2004 at the BURNETT-DANE FUNERAL HOME, 120 W. Park Ave (Rt. 176), Libertyville. Memorial contributions may be made to the Coast Guard Mutual Assistance in care of the funeral home in his memory. .

Charles Andrew Gregerson ("Bear")
Charles Andrew Gregerson ("Bear") 48, of Zion, Illinois went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 16, 2004 at Mid-Western Regional Medical Center of Zion. Chuck was born January 8, 1956 in Evanston, IL, the son of Marge (nee Champerlin) and the late Everett Gregerson. Chuck was a student at Zion Benton High School. He married Jonna (nee Walsh) in 1976. He has been a resident of Zion his entire life. He served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps for two years. He and his family were members at First Southern Baptist Church of Waukegan. He worked for over 20 years for the Zion streets department, but has been disabled for the past five years.
He is survived by his beloved wife Jonna, three children, Michelle M. Gregerson (Ricky E. Spivey), Jennifer L. Gregerson (Eric A. Wesner), and Kimberly A. Gregerson (Vincent H. Pryor); five grandchildren; Breanna N. Spivey, Jordan E. Spivey, Vicky Gray, Cody A. Wesner, and Mykayla H. Gregerson. His mother Marge Ponzio; Two brothers Joel (Tammy) Gregerson, Jim (Patty) Gregerson; One sister, Rose (Bob) Gerhke, and one sister-in-law Char Gregerson; his mother and father-in-law John and Marcy Walsh. And numerous nieces, nephews and close friends. He is preceded in death by his father Everett M. Gregerson and one brother, Edward J. Gregerson.
Funeral Services will take place on Saturday, November 20, 2004 at 1:00 PM, at First Southern Baptist Church of Waukegan, 12710 W. Southview Ave. Waukegan, IL with Pastor Mitch Dowell officiating. Visitation will be on the same day from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Interment will be at Warren cemetery in Gurnee. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the family at 2810 Ezekiel, Zion, IL 60099.

James W. Milne
James W. Milne, of Libertyville, 84, passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loving family on Friday, November 12, 2004.
A memorial service will be held November 26 at 11:00 a.m. at Hope Presbyterian Church in Libertyville, IL.
Jim grew up on a dairy farm and was always enthusiastic about working outdoors, nature conservation and the country life. He graduated from the University of Illinois, The Lake Forest School of Management and an advanced management program at MIT.
In 1942, Jim began his career in the Chemical Manufacturing Department at Abbott Laboratories. He was involved in the manufacture of pharmaceutical chemicals. In 1944, Jim was transferred to the Research and Development department to work on an effort to develop the process for manufacturing penicillin. When that process was successful, he moved to the manufacturing department and became Manager of Antibiotic Manufacturing and then became Vice President of Manufacturing for Abbott.
In 1961, Jim was transferred to become Director and soon, Senior Vice President of the Personnel Department. In this role, because of his leadership skills, Jim played a key role in the successful George Caine and Ted Ledder Administration era of Abbott Laboratories history, which included decentralization of the company and the reorganization known as The Divisionalization of Abbott Labs. From that position with his experience in manufacturing management, he became Vice President of Quality Assurance. He was in QA until he retired in 1979. His working motto was FIDEM HABES (have faith).
Jim's brother Dwight says, "The world is grateful for scientists like Jim for his research and influence in the pharmaceutical industry. Many soldiers (and other people) like me survived through the use of penicillin."
In 1944, Jim married Gladys Ruth Donkle. He was a devoted family man and was always active in the community. He served as Deacon and Elder at the First Presbyterian Church of Libertyville and sat on the Libertyville High School Board for several terms. He served on the Clara Abbott Foundation, the Lake County Conservation Commission, Lake County Regional Planning Commission and worked on the creation of the College of Lake County.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Gladys; his brothers, Robert and William Milne; his sister, Louise M. Ellerbe; and his parents, Dwight R. Milne and Flora P. Milne.
He is survived by his brother, Dwight (Loretta) Milne; his daughters, Flora Milne (Rand) Haverty, Bonnie Milne (David) Chapman, Marcia Milne; and by his grandchildren, Chantal and Catherine Villeneuve, Alexander Carruthers, Zachery Haverty, and Jeffrey and James Chapman.

Nathan C. Rich
Nathan C. Rich, 27 years old of Lake Villa, IL passed away Sunday, November 14, 2004 in Kenosha, WI. He was born April 15, 1977 in Waukegan, IL the son of Gary Rich and Beverly Barrett. He grew up and lived in Lake Villa all his life. His interests included playing pool.
Survivors include his daughter, Ashley in Boulder, CO; his mother, Beverly Barrett of Lake Villa, his father, Gary of Green Bay, WI; two sisters, Tracy (Robert) Miller of Ingleside and Angie Rich of Lake Villa; his maternal Grandfather, Charles Barrett of Lake Villa; his paternal grandparents, Robert and Myrtle Rich of Eagle River, WI and his two nieces, Summer and Danielle.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Etta Barrett.
Funeral services and interment will be private. STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH handled the arrangements. .

Amy E. Stokovich
Amy E. Stokovich, 42, of Green Oaks, IL passed away suddenly Sunday, November 14, 2004 at the Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. She was born August 12, 1962 in Bronxville, New York, was a former Lincolnshire resident, living in Green Oaks for the past three years. Amy was a 1980 graduate of Stevenson High School and became a Licensed Practical Nurse following her graduation from nursing school at the College of Lake County. She had been employed in the office of Dr. Ronald Klimaitis in Libertyville and also at several nursing homes in the area.
Amy married John Stokovich on November 3, 2001 and was the loving mother of four children, Megan M. Taylor of Chicago, Kelly E. Taylor of Vernon Hills, Matthew John Stokovich and John Alexander Stokovich, both of Green Oaks; devoted daughter of Herbert and Shirley Keller of Columbia, MO/Napels, FL; dear sister of John (Jennifer) Keller of Beijing, China and Matt (Kay) Keller of Arlington Heights; two brothers-in-law, Milan Stokovich and Nick (Debbie) Stokovich. both of Libertyville; and her former husband, Robert Taylor of Vernon Hills. Amy touched many lives by her caring and loving nature and will always be remembered.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM Thursday, November 18, 2004 at The Most Holy Mother of God Serbian Orthodox Monastery in Third Lake. Interment is pending. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 PM on Wednesday, November 17, 2004 at the BURNETT-DANE FUNERAL HOME, 120 W. Park Ave. (Rt. 176), Libertyville, where the Pomen Service will be held at 7 PM. Kenneth D. Thorsen
Kenneth D. Thorsen, 61, of Naperville, IL passed away Sunday, November 14, 2004 at the Alden Nursing Home in Naperville. He was born December 23, 1942 in Chicago and was a former resident of LaGrange.
Ken was a 1962 graduate of Libertyville High School and a 1967 graduate of Illinois Wesleyan University. He had been employed as a pharmaceutical representative and a former employee of the E.J. Squibb Corporation.
Surviving are two sons, Scott (Christine) Thorsen of Naperville and Eric Thorsen of Chicago; a grandson, Ryan; and a sister, Sandra (Glynn) Jones of Mundelein.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Martin and Ruth Thorsen.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 17 at the BURNETT-DANE FUNERAL HOME, 120 W. Park Ave. (Rt. 176), Libertyville. Interment will follow at Woodlawn cemetery in Forest Park. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. Info: (847)362-3009.

Orville (Pete) Wallin
Orville (Pete) Wallin, age 85, died November 13, 2004 in Glendale, AZ.
Born June 15, 1919 in Comfrey, Minnesota.
Retired after 35 years with People's Gas and Energy, Lake Co., IL. World War II Veteran. Recipient of Purple Heart.
Survivors include four sons and two daughters, JoAnne (Robert) Bell, Goodyear, AZ, Douglas (Linda) Wallin, Mt. Lebanon, PA, Tom Wallin, Winthrop Harbor, IL, Susan (Keith) Atkinson, Glendale, AZ, Robert Wallin, Wheeling, IL and Jerry Wallin, Wheeling, IL; eight grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters; and one brother.
He was preceded in death by wife, Dorothy; and two sons, Ronald and Dennis.
Funeral mass will be held Saturday, November 20 at 11AM at St. Anastasia Church, 624 Douglas Ave, Waukegan, IL. Burial to follow mass at Ascension cemetery, Libertyville, IL. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association, PO Box 1132, Fairfax, VA 22038.

Patricia Ann Behrens
Patricia Ann Behrens, beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 14, 2001 at Pebble Brook Nursing Home, Lake Bluff.
She was born September 15, 1948 in Knoxville, TN and she attended the First Baptist Church of Winthrop Harbor. She loved to write poetry, work on crafts, play bingo and she was a blessing to everyone she knew.
She is survived by a son, Michael (Kathy) Behrens and their children Kaitlynn, Taylor, Hunter, Kendyl and Jefferson; a daughter Dana (Jeremy) and her son Jacob; her parents George and Ruth Mize; a brother Johnny (Mary) Mize and their children Christy, Sonya (Jeff), Charity, Jacklyn, Alisa and Damon; two sisters, Judy (Marvin) Sartin and their children Stephanie (Richie), Jessica and Ashley and Karen Heitzenrater and her children Jeannie (Kevin), Cynthia, Katie, Kelly and Angie; a close family friend Everett V. Hull; and several great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Lee and Francis Ward and John and Maude Mize.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 17, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion with Rev. David Adams of First Baptist Church of Winthrop Harbor officiating. Visitation will be Saturday form 5:00 p.m. until time of services at the Funeral Home.

Mary Belec
Mary Belec, (nee Fajfar) 80, of Wildwood, loving mother and grandmother passed away Sunday, November 11, 2001 at St. Therese Medical Center, Waukegan, entering the Heavenly Kingdom of God to join her husband, John Belec to whom she had been united in marriage for 54 years and who preceded her in death on February 9, 1999.
Mrs. Belec had made her home in Wildwood for 34 years, previously living in Waukegan. She immigrated to the United States form Slovenia. She was born on January 19, 1921 in Drasgose, Slovenia, the daughter of Martin and Teresa (nee Rihtarsic) Fajfar.
Mrs. Belec was a member of St. Gilbert Catholic Church in Grayslake and a former member of Mother of God Catholic Church in Waukegan. She was also a member of St. Mary's KSKJ and the St. Therese Hospital Auxiliary.
Survivors include a daughter, Mary (Thomas) Nelson of Wildwood; two grandsons, Tom Nelson, Jr., Wildwood and Tim Nelson of Solitude Mountain, Utah; sisters, Teresa Potochnik in Slovenia and Cecelia Cesnick of Buenos Aires, Argentina; and several nieces and nephews in Slovenia and Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her seven brothers, and a sister.
She will be greatly missed by her loving daughter and grandsons and all her Slovenian friends, other dear friends and neighbors and will always be remembered for her warm smile and generous heart.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 17, 2001 at St. Gilbert Catholic Church, 301 E. Belvidere Road, Grayslake, IL 60030 with the Rev. Fr. Robert Beaven as celebrant. Burial, Ascension cemetery, Libertyville. Visitation 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday November 17, 2001 at the church. Please omit flowers! Contributions may be made to St. Gilbert Catholic Church or masses to be offered in her name at the church of the donor's choice. Strang Funeral Chapel and Crematorium, Ltd., 410 E.
