Mary Krpan
Mary Krpan, 79, of Waukegan died on Sunday, November 7, 2004 at Victory Memorial Hospital in Waukegan.
Mary was born August 30, 1925 in Sv. Rok, Croatia, and came to this country in 1966. She was employed by Abbott Laboratories for 20 years, retiring in 1987. Mary loved knitting and crocheting.
Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Joseph; children, John (Elizabeth) Krpan of Winthrop Harbor, Mary (Don) Daisy of Winthrop Harbor, Loui (Kim) Krpan of Ontario, Canada and Mark (Patti) Krpan of Waukegan; nine grandchildren, Joseph and Jason Krpan, Christopher, Tim, Jill Daisy and Jennifer, Dianne, Brian and Gabriel Krpan; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends in the U.S., Croatia and Canada. She was preceded in death by three sisters; a brother, and a very special niece all of Croatia; and her parents, Mike and Mary Balen.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 10, 2004 from 5 until 8 PM at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 11th at 10 AM at the Congdon Funeral Home with interment following at Ascension cemetery, Libertyville. 847-746-1234.

Bertha E. Leners
Bertha E. Leners, 87, of Round Lake Park, died Monday, November 8, 2004 at her home. She was born May 14, 1917 in Chicago to Julius and Olga (Westphal) Schultz. On November 21, 1936, she married Matthew Leners, Jr., who preceded her in death in December of 1985.
Formerly of Chicago, Bertha moved to Round Lake Park in 1951. She was a homemaker who loved to cook and work in her flower gardens. She enjoyed collecting stamps and buttons and watching the wild birds and squirrels in her yard.
Survivors include six children, Matthew (Patricia) Leners III of Round Lake , Diane (Jerry) Larkin of Elkhart, IN, Jean (Robert) Messineo of Round Lake Beach, James (Ann) Leners of Kenosha, WI, Mary Marescalco of Antioch, Janet (Michael) VanKammen of Paddock Lake, WI; 12 grandchildren, Robert, Nicholas, Cindy, Kimberly, Paul, Barbara, Michael, Amanda, Angela, Genevieve, Scott, Teri; six great-grandchildren; and a sister, Pearl Schultz of Metropolis.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Paul (July 1967); her parents; five sisters, Elsie, Clara, Ruth, Betty, Dorothy; and a brother, Harry Schultz.
Visitation will be from 4 until 8 PM Thursday, November 11, 2004 at Justen's Round Lake Funeral Home, 222 W North Rosedale Ct. (At Cedar Lake Road), Round Lake, IL 60073.
The funeral service will be at 9:30 AM on Friday, November 12, at the funeral home. The Rev. Lisle Kauffman officiating.
Interment will be in St. Joseph cemetery, Round Lake. Memorials in her name to Condell Hospice, 115 W. Church Street, Libertyville, IL 60048, would be appreciated by the family.

Lonny S. Muellemann
Lonny S. Muellemann, age 43, passed away Saturday, November 6, 2004 in Antigo, Wisconsin where he had lived for the past nine years.
Survived by his two brothers, Larry (Robin) Muellemann and Loren Muellemann; three nieces, Christina, Jennifer and Amanda; and nephew, Daniel.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Larry and Joann Muellemann; paternal grandfather, Edward Muellemann.
Services were held privately.

MaryLou Mihelich
MaryLou Mihelich, 63, a resident of Caledonia St., Calumet, Michigan, passed away Saturday morning at her home after a courageous battle with cancer.
The former MaryLou Torreano was born January 29, 1941 in Laurium, Michigan, a daughter of the late Louis and Mary (Iavelli) Torreano. She was a graduate of Calumet High School with the class of 1959.
She moved to Winthrop Harbor, IL and lived there until 1992 when she moved back to Calumet to make her home.
While living in Winthrop Harbor, she was employed at The Harbor Pharmacy for over 20 years as a Pharmacy Technician. Locally, she was employed at 41 Lumber, K-Mart and the Apostolic Lutheran Home for the Aged.
She was involved with the C.H.S./S.H.H.S. all school re-union committee. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Kay Kucal.
Surviving are two sons, Gery (LuAnn) Mihelich of Arlington, Texas and Steven (Stephanie) Mihelich of Chilicothe, Ohio; two daughters, Janet (Rick) Gonzalez of Machesney Park, IL and Karen (Eric) Whiteside of Winthrop Harbor, IL; 11 grandchildren, April, Lisa, Christopher, Nicholas, Emily, Joseph, Michael, Mathew, Heather, Ericka and R.J.; a sister, Carolyn (Fritz) Kesanen of Eagle Harbor; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A memorial service will be held locally in the near future. At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation.

Anna Marie (Ricky) Pryor
Our beloved Mother, Grandmother, Anna Marie Pryor, departed her earthly life on November 5, 2004 at Midwestern Hospital in Zion, IL.
She was born to Charles and Anna Laura Whittaker on July 24, 1928 in Madison, IN. She was united in Holy Matrimony to William (Billy) in IN in 1950. Her family moved to the Lake County area in 1962.
Anna leaves to cherish her beloved sons Charles "Cac" "Sukie" (Amelia) and Donald Kevan both of Zion; her step daughter Mardele (Edwin) Beard of Louisville, KY; her beloved grandson Anthony (Kim) Pryor of CA; her beloved granddaughter Ladena Renee of Wkgn and the loves of her life, her great grandsons Tyree, Tyson and Tyreon McClinton of Wkgn; her sister Susan Young of NJ; brothers David (Joanne) Whittaker of Joliet, IL; and Richard (Peggy) Whittaker of TN; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; special friend Gladys Jackson of KY and her faithful companion Conway Kitty.
Anna was preceded in death by her husband Billy; her Mother and Father; a brother Donald; and nephews Lenny and Jeff.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 13, 2004 at the Hermon Park Community Center, 2700 29th St., Zion, IL.
Momma, you're home with Daddy now. We love you. Until we're all together again.

Betty Jane Saari
Betty Jane Saari, a resident of Round Lake Beach passed away Monday, November 8, 2004 at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville at the age of 77. She was born January 21, 1927 to the late Harold and Esther Hanson in Chippewa Falls, WI. She was a cook for many YMCA camps around the area.
Betty is survived by her children, Kenneth (Cheryl) Boll, Robert Saari and Tammy (Daniel) Oudin; her eight grandchildren; and her 15 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son, Lenny Boll; her granddaughter, Danielle Oudin; and her first husband, Kenneth Lester Boll.
Arrangements were entrusted to STRANG FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM, 410 E. Belvidere Rd, Grayslake, IL, 60030.

Albert L. Schluter
Albert L. Schluter, 88, died Monday, November 1 after a short illness. Originally from Reedsburg, WI, he was a long time resident of Waukegan.
He was preceded in death by his father, Theodore; and his mother, Edna.
He is survived by his wife, Jacquelyn; a son, Lee; and his three daughters, Anne (Paul), Jane (Max) and Becky (Jeff). He is also survived by four grandsons and one granddaughter.
Albert was buried on Saturday, November 6 at Ascension cemetery with a private ceremony for the immediate family.

Oliver G. Upham
Oliver G. Upham, 72 of Waukegan, passed away on Monday, November 8, 2004 at his home. He was born August 1, 1932 in Middleton, WI, to Oliver and Genevieve (nee Woody) Upham. He graduated from Middleton High School. Oliver managed for Eagle Foods, Gold Standard Liquors and worked for Office Concepts.
He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, where he served on the council and worked with the bulletin assembly group. He enjoyed reading, working in the yard and attending his grandchildren's school events. His kindness, humor and love of life will be missed by all the lives he touched.
He will always be cherished by his loving wife, Betty (nee Matson); his children, Rick (Judy) Upham of Hailey, ID, Kristi (John) Haley of Antioch and Joseph (Lynnette) Upham of Pleasant Prairie, WI; grandchildren, Zachary Upham, Jake (Erica) Upham, Patrick Haley, Quinn Haley, Kira Haley and Kyle Haley, Nathan Upham, Nicole Jadrich, Michelle (Joseph) Sosnowski, Jessica Pietschman and Mary Davellis; great-grandchildren, Monica Madden and Isabella Upham.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kathy Davellis and his parents.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday, November 10, 2004 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 824 N. Lewis Ave., Waukegan, with Pastor Brad Davick and Pastor Caroline Satre, officiating. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 9:30 AM, until time of services. Interment will be at Hillside cemetery in Antioch. In lieu of flowers, donations in Oliver Upham's memory, may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Arrangements are under the care of:

Deacon Isaiah Cunningham
Deacon Isaiah Cunningham, of North Chicago, IL, moved from earth to heaven on Monday, November 7, 2005. He was born in Spartanburg, SC, January 12, 1918, to the union of Frank and Lola Cunningham.
Deacon Cunningham accepted Christ at an early age and in 1923, the family moved to North Chicago, IL.
In 1924, the Deacon Cunningham united with First Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church, where he remained a cornerstone of wisdom and knowledge until God called him home. In 1949, he joined in holy matrimony to Ann Cunningham and to this union, four children were born.
Deacon Isaiah Cunningham retired as a mechanic from Chrysler Motors, after 35 years of service. He was a U.S. Army Veteran who served his country during World War II. His dedication to First Corinthian resulted in several awards and commendations throughout the years.
Deacon Isaiah Cunningham leaves to cherish his memory a daughter, Betty Christmas, Waukegan, IL; three sons, Shelly Vernell Powell, Lilburn, GA, Rickey (Jean) Cunningham, Waukegan, IL, Gerald Cunningham, North Chicago, IL; 15 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two godsons, Mildren "Butch" Hooper, Dolton, IL and Rev. John (Debra) Patterson Jr., North Chicago; and a host of other relatives and dear friends.
Deacon Cunningham was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Ann Cunningham; parents, Lola and Frank Cunningham; seven brothers, Berry, Mack, Lawrence, Harrison, William, Willie, and Frank Cunningham; and a sister, Alma Abrahams.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2005, 11:00 AM at the First Corinthian Missionary Baptist Church, 1529 Elizabeth Avenue, North Chicago, IL, with Pastor Eugene Roberson, officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park cemetery, Zion, IL. Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM at the church. Lowell Daniels "Pip"
Lowell Daniels, age 57, of Zion, IL, departed this life on Wednesday, November 2, 2005, after a lengthy illness. Pip was born March 29, 1948 in Albany, GA, to Isreal and Richard Dean Daniels.
He was an only child. Pip graduated from Stubenville High School in Stubenville, OH. He joined the Navy in 1966, where he completed his education in Computer Science and received an honorable discharge. He was employed by the corporate office of Keebler, Inc. in Elmhurst, IL as a Computer Programmer.
Survivors include two sons, Isreal Daniels of Canton, OH and Yancey (Misty) Daniels; three grandchildren, Derron, Nathen and Aliyah of Union City, MO; five aunts, Esther Andrews, Zion, IL, Luella Hilson and Sophia Hall of Albany, GA, Olivia and Norma Andrews of California; two uncles, Charlie (Helen) Andrews of Gurnee, IL and Roosevelt (Catherine) Andrews of Stubenville, OH. Also a host of cousins and dear friends. A special mention of faithful supporters during his illness, Aunt Eshter, Dana and Frederick Andrews, and his guy, Victor Solomon, all from Zion, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two uncles, Leroy and George Andrews.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, November 12, 2005 at 12:00 PM at BRADSHAW & RANGE FUNERAL HOME, 2513 Dugdale Road, Waukegan, IL. The family will be receiving friends from 11:00 AM until time of service. Burial will be private at the Abraham Lincoln National cemetery. For Info: (847) 662-3553.
