Louis F. Lanciloti Jr. Age 69, passed away on July 27. He was born in Waukegan, IL and resided in Wheeling. Beloved husband of Carol nee Koch. Loving father and stepfather of 10. Cherished grandfather of 17. Fond brother, uncle and friend to many.

Ronald H. Lee
Ronald H. Lee, 59, of Beach Park died on Wednesday, July 28, 2004 in Iron River, Michigan. Ron was born August 26, 1944 in Chicago. The family moved to Round Lake where he attended Round Lake Grade School and graduated from Round Lake High School in 1963. He married Pat Reijonen on September 4, 1965 and has resided in Beach Park for the past 25 years. Ron worked for the Village of Libertyville as Building Inspector for 15 years. Along with spending time with his family and grandchildren, he also loved fishing at their home in Michigan.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia; three children, Jenna (Tom) Harris of Beach Park, Donna (Justin) Chamberlain of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin and Tom (Chris) Lee of Beach Park; nine grandchildren, Joe, Johnathon, Jake, Emily, Abbie, Kolar, Johnny, Alex and Christian; a brother, Tom (Annette) Lee of Gurnee; two sisters, Lora (Jim) Bush of Lake Forest and Bonnie (Terry) Mahoney of Round Lake; and many nieces, nephews and extended relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Dorothy Lee; and by a great nephew, Trevor.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, August 1, 2004 from 2 to 6 PM at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion with private cremation to follow. 847-746-1234.

Joseph "Bud" Golwitzer
Joseph "Bud" Golwitzer, 69. of Creal Springs, formerly of Waukegan, passed away at 9:15 AM Wednesday, July 28, 2004 at his residence.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10 AM Tuesday, August 3, 2004 at St. Dismas Catholic Church in Waukegan with Father Jack Ryan officiating. Burial will be at St. Joseph cemetery in Dedham, Iowa. BLUE FUNERAL HOME is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois or to the family, envelopes are available at the funeral home or may be sent C/O Blue Funeral Home, P.O. Box 411, Marion, IL, 62959.
Mr. Golwitzer was born on March 10, 1935 in Dedham, Iowa to Joseph and Loretta (Underberg) Golwitzer. He married Patricia O'Boyle on February 11, 1961 in North Chicago, Illinois and she survives.
Other survivors include his son, Dan (Barb) Golwitzer of Valpariso, Indiana; his daughters, Debbie (Paul) Shumaker of Bristol, Wisconsin, Kari Golwitzer of Lake Villa, Illinois; grandchildren, Carly, Hannah, Savanna, Russell, Sally, Sara and Shelby; brother, Gerald "Butch" (Carol) Golwitzer of Dedham, Iowa; sisters, Luella Bedford of Dedham, Iowa and Burnita "Bub" Schlicher of Wadsworth, Illinois; and sister-in-law, Betty (Louis) Stickrod of Waukegan, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Cyrilla Knobbe.
Mr. Golwitzer was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Marion. He loved tractors and attending auctions. He volunteered his time at the Food Pantry and at Church Rummage Sales. He served in the United States Army.

Jo Ann Pierce Minuskin
Jo Ann Pierce Minuskin, age 57 of Waukegan, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2004 at her home with her family at her side, after her battle with cancer. She was born October 3, 1946 in Iron River, MI.
She is survived by her son, Steven Minuskin of Waukegan and a daughter, Julie Minuskin of Las Vegas, NV and their father, Michael Minuskin of Evanston, IL; sisters, Barbara (Stan) Miller of Gurnee and Mary Beth (John) Losch of Naperville, IL; nieces and nephews, John (Janie), Katie (Scott), Elizabeth, Kristen, Wes and Mary.
Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mary Pierce.
Services will be 2 PM, Saturday, July 31, 2004 at the GURNEE FUNERAL HOME, 4190 Old Grand Ave., Gurnee, IL. Visitation will also be at the funeral home on Saturday, from 1 PM till time of service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jo Ann's name to the American Cancer Society.

Francisco (Frank) G. Salazar
Francisco G. Salazar, 78 of Round Lake Beach, IL, passed away at his home on Wednesday, July 27, 2004. He was born in Mexico on March 9, 1926, the son of the late Francisco and Ines Salazar.
He was a resident of Round Lake Beach for the past 10 years, moving from the South Deering area in Chicago. He was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church in Lake Villa. He was a former member of St. Kevin Church, Chicago. He was a Tailor by Trade, employed by a number of well known retailers.
He is survived by his wife, Elvira. They were married on May 26, 1956. His children, Francisco, Jr. (Carol) of Indiana, Fernando of Round Lake Beach, Luis, M.D. (Consuelo) of Grayslake and David (Donna) of Arizona; 15 grandchildren; his sisters, Conception and Dorotea; and brothers, Alfonso (Cuqui) and Luis (Magdalena); and daughter-in-law, Mary Salazar.
He was preceded in death by his son, Eugene.
Funeral services will be at 9:30 AM on Saturday, July 31, 2004, from RINGA FUNERAL HOME, 122 S. Rte. 83 (Milwaukee Ave.) Lake Villa, IL 60046, to Prince of Peace Church, 10 AM Funeral Mass. Interment, Ascension cemetery, Libertyville, IL Visitation, Friday, 4-8 PM.

Harold "Happy" Shales
Harold "Happy" Shales, age 81, of Waukegan, died July 27, 2004 at St. Therese Hospital, Waukegan. He was born October 23, 1922 in Waukegan.
He was a life-long resident of Waukegan and retired from Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company where he worked for 16 years.
"Happy" leaves behind one sister,Helen Rutkowski of Waukegan; and many nieces and nephews who knew him as "UNCLE HAPPY."
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ruth Shales, who died in 1996; his parents, Harold and Edna Shales; his sisters, Mildred Dayer, Emma LaMartin, Lorraine Phelps, and Dorothy Hickman; one brother, Delbert "Buddy" Shales.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, July 30 at MARSH FUNERAL HOME OF GURNEE, 305 cemetery Rd., Gurnee, IL, (847) 336-0127. Burial at Warren cemetery. Visitation from 9 AM to 11 AM Friday at the funeral home.

Anthony J. Shemansky
Anthony J. Shemansky, 93, a recent resident of Libertyville, IL passed away Saturday, July 24, 2004 at Condell Medical Center in Libertyville. He was born December 6. 1910 in Scranton, Pennsylvania, was a long time resident of the Detroit, Michigan area and retired to Marco Island, Florida. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus #6344 and the San Marco Catholic Church in Florida.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Helen; a daughter, Susan (Harry) Lamberson of Lake Forest, Illinois; three grandchildren, Colby (Linda) Lamberson, Carter Lamberson and Whitney Lamberson; and a great grandchild, Holden Lamberson, all of Chicago, Illinois.
Private family services were held on Monday, July 26 at the BURNETT-DANE FUNERAL HOME, LTD., 120 W. Park Avenue, Libertyville, IL, 60048. Memorials may be made to the San Marco Catholic Church in his memory. Info: 948-362-3009.

Pauline M. Wiegand
Pauline M. Wiegand, 75, of Gurnee, IL passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2004 at the Sunrise Assisted Living Home in Gurnee. She was born June 19, 1929 in Rochester, NY, where she had been a longtime resident, also living in Barrington, Rhode Island, Northbrook, IL and retiring to St. Augustine, FL. Pauline enjoyed golf, skiing, gardening and her grandchildren.
Surviving are three daughters, Susan Nardick of Phoenix, AZ, Anne Pullman of Gurnee and Patti (Peter) Petesch of Rockville, MD; her daughter-in-law, Jennifer Wiegand of Palm Desert, CA; eight grandchildren; two brothers, Charles (Betty) Moskowitz of Mt. Pleasant, MI and Barry (Sally) Moss of Palm Desert, CA; and a sister, Nancy Wachs of Rochester, NY.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John on March 13, 1996; and by her son, Robert on October 31, 2001.
A Memorial service will be held at 2 PM Saturday, July 31, at the BURNETT-DANE FUNERAL HOME, 120 W. Park Ave (Rt. 176), Libertyville.

Dr. Leonard R. Chominski, Psy.D.
Dr. Leonard R. Chominski, Psy.D., 58, of Chicago, passed away Saturday, July 27, 2002 at his home. He was born August 18, 1943 in Chicago, and was a lifelong resident.
He served in the U.S. Army during his course of training in psychology, first at Fort Polk, Louisiana, and later at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Hospital in Augusta, Georgia, attaining the rank of Captain. Graduating in 1992 with a Doctorate in Psychology from the Illinois Institute of Psychology, he was, with his brother Richard, currently operating his late father's optometrical practice.
Survivors include his mother, Genevieve Chominski of Chicago; two brothers, Richard "Rev. Vladimir" (Susan) Chominski of Elmwood Park, Illinois and Paul (Connie) Chominski of Libertyville, Illinois; an uncle, Alexander Chominski of Chicago; one niece, Anastacia Chominski of Elmwood Park; his Godmother, Audrey Matrejak of Eau Claire, Wisconsin; and several cousins.
He was preceded in death by a brothers, Robert on April 8, 1996 and his father, Dr. Richard Chominski, Sr. on February 23, 1999.
Friends may call from 5PM until 8PM on Tuesday, July 30, 2002 at the BURNETT-DANE FUNERAL HOME, LTD., 120 PARK AVENUE, LIBERTYVILLE. Prayers will begin at 10:00AM Wednesday, and continue to St. Joseph Church in Libertyville for Mass at 10:30AM. Entombment will follow at All Saints cemetery in Des Plaines. Mass appreciated.

Louis P. Constantine
Louis P. Constantine, age 73, a Libertyville resident for 30 years, passed away July 27, 2002 at Condell Medical Center, Libertyville. He was born March 26, 1929 in Chicago to the late Michael and Loretta Constantine.
He was retired from Chicago Sun-Times in 1997 as a commercial artist after 35 years of service. He was a member of St. Joseph Parish, Libertyville.
Survivors include: Mary Ann (nee Helfenbein); his children: Mary Patricia (Pat) Curtin of Ohio, Thomas of Maryland, James of Chicago, Carolyn (Tom) Omiatek of Lake in the Hills, IL, Kathleen Constantine of Libertyville and William of Missouri; grandchildren: Jessica, Danielle, Kathleen, Allison, Bridget, Amanda, Steven, Sarah, Alex and Matthew.
preceded in death by his parents, Michael and Loretta Constantine; his sister, Sr. Jean Michael.

Leroy Fred Fitzpatrick
Leroy Fred Fitzpatrick, 58, of Gurnee, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2002 at his home. He was born March 30, 1944 in Chicago.
Survivors include his loving wife Brigitte; 1 son Kevin (Nicolette) Fitzpatrick of Schaumburg; 1 grandson Spencer; 3 loving brothers-in-law Oscar Seemayer and Joe Seemayer, both of Gurnee, and Tony Seemayer of Florida.

Kenneth Meyer, Sr.
Kenneth Meyer, Sr., 73 years old of Lindenhurst, IL, formerly of Antioch, passed away Friday, July 26, 2002 at Condell Memorial Hospital, Libertyville, IL. He was born November 17, 1928 in Eenigenberg, the Netherlands, and had lived in Antioch for 40 years before moving to Lindenhurst in 2001.
He was a member of the Dutch Immigrant Society. During World War II he served in the U.S. Coast Guard and has always loved boating. As a member of the Waukegan Seventh Day Adventist Church, he was active as a volunteer in many church activities. In 1950 he established the K. Meyer Landscaping Business which he operated for 40 years. On August 18, 1950 he married Roberta Carpenter in Oak Park, IL.
Survivors include his wife; his children, Nancy (Bruce) Crum of Ottawa, IL, Kenneth, Jr. (Vicky) Meyer of Franksville, WI, James Meyer of Lindenhurst, IL, John (Jean Vandewalker) Meyer of Cary, IL, Ralph (Susan) Meyer of Yardley, PA, Patricia (Kevin) Smith of Congress, AZ and Mark (Shereen) Meyer of Oriska, N.D.; a sister Agnes (Richard) Churchill of Altamonte Springs, FL; a niece, Cynthia Scheffler of Altamonte Springs, FL; 19 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a grandson Peter Meyer and a nephew Richard Churchill.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00AM Wednesday, July 31, 2002 at the Waukegan Seventh Day Adventist Church, 1300 North Ave. (North and Glen Flora) Waukegan, IL. Interment will be in Highland Memorial Park, Libertyville, IL. Friends may call at the Strang Funeral Home, 1055 Main St. (Rte. 83), Antioch, IL from 4 until 8PM Tuesday and at the church from 10:00AM Wednesday until the time of services. Josepha Petrauskas
Josepha Petrauskas, 96, of Ottowa, WI, former resident of North Chicago and Waukegan, passed away July 26, 2002 at his home. She was born March 6, 1906 in Lithowania.
Member of St. Bartholomew Church, Lithuanian American Community, Lake County Chapter.
Survived by one daughter, Dr. Palmira (Vytautas) Janusonis of Ottowa, WI; two grandsons, Dr. Rimas (Rene) Janusonis of Harrisburgh, PA and Gintas Janusonis of New York, New York; and a host of family and friends.
preceded in death by her husband, Vladas Walter Petrauskas.
She was a life long homemaker.
Funeral services Wednesday, 10AM, July 31, 2002 at Holy Family Church, 450 Keller Ave., Waukegan, IL, Father Gary Graff officiating. Burial Ascension cemetery. Visitation Tuesday, 5-8PM at Marsh Funeral Home, 1521 Washington St., Waukegan.

Beverly J. Salo
Beverly J. Salo, a resident of Gurnee since 1990, previously from Ingleside, IL passed away July 25, 2002 at her home. She was born August 22, 1933 in Waukegan. She graduated from Waukegan Township High School in 1951, went to work at Prudential Insurance Company and later was a bookkeeper for Thatcher Engineering Corporation.
She was presently President and Administrator of Lake County Animal Protection, an all volunteer spay/neuter humane society in Lake County since 1973.
Her love was animals and enjoyed doing color pen and ink drawings of birds and animals. She belonged to Lake County Art League at one time before getting involved with raising and showing Shih Tzu and served as a director of the National Shih Tzu Club. Also a member of North Shore Dog Training Club and Chain O'Lakes Kennel Club. She taught dog obedience at North Chicago night school and was assistant shelter director at Orphans of the Storm in Deerfield under Mrs. Thelma Zwirner.
She enjoyed doing counted cross stitch leaving a remembrance for each of the family members.
She leaves her husband Arthur M. and one son, William A. of Fox Lake. A sister, Patricia A. Veness of Ladysmith, WI and nieces and nephews also of Wisconsin and North and South Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Hamlet and father John L. Hamlet and one sister, Carol Judith Ladrie.
Beverly was very concerned about the abuse and harassment of all elephants. Therefore, memorial donations in her name can be made to The Elephant Sanctuary, P.O. Box 393, Hohenwald, TN 38462.
Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, July 30, 2002 at 10:00 a.m. at Northshore Garden of Memories in North Chicago, IL, corner of 18th St. and Greenbay Rd. Arrangements under the care of MARSH FUNERAL HOME, (847) 336-0127.
