Donald Lee Wedell
Donald Lee Wedell, 57, of Kenosha and formerly of Waukegan, passed away on Tuesday, August 3, 2004 at St. Therese Medical Center. He was born February 7, 1947 in St. Paul, MN and had been an area resident for most of his life.
He had served in the U.S. Navy.
Donald is survived by his mother and step father, Earline "Pat" (Richard) Mohrmann of Park City; brothers and sisters, Michael (Kim) Wedell of Mequon, WI, Cynthia alters of Park City, James Mohrmann of Park City, Brian (Cindy) Mohrmann of Gurnee, Heidi (James) Kazin of Acworth, GA, Jill (Rev. Steve) Massey of Chicago, Thomas Wedell of Pensacola, FL and Heather Mohrmann of Park City; also by seven nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Laverne Wedell; grandmother, Gertrude Wedell; brother, Robert Bruce Wedell and his step mother, Marilyn Wedell.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 6, 2004 in the chapel at Highland Memorial Park, Belvidere Rd. and Hunt Club Rd. Libertyville, IL. Interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park.

Stanley F. Citterman
Stanley F. Citterman, 71, of New Lisbon, WI, passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2003. He was a loving husband to wife Betty, a wonderful father to Mary (Skip) Keibler of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Laura Woodward of Wilmington, IL, and Linda Spinato of Grayslake, IL. He was also a caring stepfather to Zane (Jeri) Rogers of Indiana, Charles (Sharon) Rogers of California, Dawn (Rich) Adams of New Mexico and Michelle (Jeff) Shepherd of Wisconsin. He also has 16 grandchildren.
Stanley served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the American Legion Post #110 in New Lisbon and a member of the 40ET8 in Mauston. He was an avid member to St. Paul's Catholic Church.
Born in Ivanhoe Minnesota December 12, 1931. Survived by brothers Norbert (Hedwig), Chester (Delores), and sisters Francis Ratajczak, Hedwig Ratajczak and Phyllis Marczak (Floyd).
preceded in death by sister Wladyscawa Popowski, brothers Teddy and Andy, also granddaughter Tara Bupp.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday July 23, 2003 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at HARE FUNERAL HOME in New Lisbon, WI. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul's Catholic Church in New Lisbon with Fr. Steven Baures, officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be in St. Paul's Catholic cemetery.

Francis A. Cox
Francis A. Cox, 83, of Waukegan passed away on Saturday, July 19, 2003 at the Rolling Hills Nursing Home in Zion. He was born January 22, 1920 in McHenry, IL and has been a longtime area resident.
He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church in Waukegan. He is a veteran of the U.S. Army during World War II; member of the American Legion, and Moose Lodge 706 in Waukegan. Francis was a retired machinist after 30 years of service.
He is survived by his son, Robert (Patsy Beckstrom) Cox of Sturtevant, WI; grandchildren, Joseph and Jason (Stacy) Dennin, Brian and Amanda Cox; great grandchildren, Libby and Chloe Cox and their mother Samantha Ernst. He is also survived by his niece, Dianna Gibbones; brother-in-law, Joseph (Mary) Dennin; sisters-in-law, Rose Mary (Jerry) Kraetech and Bonnie Molnar; and many other family and friends.
Francis is preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Cox in 1999; daughter, Judith Dennin in 1991; brother Arthur Cox in 1957 and his parents, Jeremiah and Lillian Cox.
Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 23, 2003 at Immaculate Conception Church, Grand Ave. and West St. in Waukegan. Entombment will be at Ascension cemetery in Libertyville. Friends may call at the PETERSON & PATCH FUNERAL HOME, 408 N. Sheridan Rd. Waukegan from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2003.

Madeline "Gina" Diaz
Madeline "Gina" Diaz, nee Montano, 39, of Zion went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 113, 2003, in Zion.
Gina was born December 7, 1963 in Waukegan, and had lived in the area all of her life. She married Samuel Diaz on October 24, 1987 at the Trinity Assembly of God Church in Zion. She was employed at the Cancer Treatment Centers of America in Zion and was a loving daughter and devoted wife and mother, and will be dearly missed by her family.
Survivors include her husband, Samuel; three children: Jennifer, Nicole and Samuel II, all of Zion. Also surviving are her mother, Nancy Montano of Beach Park; father, Ramon (Isabel) Montano of Lutz, FL; a brother, Juan (Sara) Croschere of Beach Park; three sisters: Juanita Montano of Waukegan, Wanda Montano of Gurnee and Helena (Tony) Santiago of Zion. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Gina was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Ramon Montano and Marcolina Lopez, and maternal grandparents, Henry P. and Rhea Croschere.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 25, 2003 at 10 a.m. at the Trinity Christian Center, 2600 Lewis Avenue, Zion, with Pastor Timothy R. Eddy officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park in Zion. Visitation will be on Thursday, July 24, 2003, from the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, (847) 746-1234, from 5-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts are suggested to the family.

Bernice R. Hubacz
Bernice R. Hubacz, nee Motyka, 83, passed on to her eternal reward on Monday, July 21, 2003. Born in Chicago, IL on November 25, 1919, she was a resident of North Chicago, IL for the past 35 years. Bernice was a member of Queen of Peace Catholic Church of North Chicago, the Ladies Auxiliary of the Polish Legion of American Veterans, USA, Theodore Roosevelt Chapter #4 of Chicago, IL, which she served as a past president. Also, she volunteered many hours at the V.A. Medical Center in North Chicago.
Bernice, a homemaker, was a loving mother, beloved grandmother, and a most revered great-grandmother. She is survived by two daughters: Theresa (Joseph L.) Pudlo of North Chicago, IL and Roseanne (James J.) Sass of Muskego, WI; and a son, Arthur G. (Karen) Hubacz of Oak Creek, WI; seven grandchildren: Joseph A. (Melinda) Pudlo and Julie Anne (Michael) Wagner, both of Grayslake, IL, Jacqueline (James) Koukol of Gurnee, IL, Denise (David) Sattler of Oconomowoc, WI, Debbie (David Smith) Sass of Milwaukee, WI, Arthur W. (Katina) Hubacz of Milwaukee, WI, and Robert (Gina) Hubacz of Franklin, WI; nine great-grandchildren, all who loved her dearly; two sisters-in-law: Eleanor Motyka of Chicago, IL and Mary Motyka of Mt. Prospect, IL, along with numerous close friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Arthur J. in 1992; seven brothers: John, Alex, Frank, Thomas, Michael, Walter, and Joseph Motyka, all of Chicago; two sisters: Catherine Jarosz-Korczakowski and Sophie Dybas, also of Chicago, IL.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, July 25, 2003, at 10 a.m. at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 910 - 14th St., North Chicago, IL. Rev. James E. Merold officiating. Bernice will be laid to rest in Ascension cemetery, Libertyville, IL. Loren M. Kreider
Loren M. Kreider, age 70, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2003, at his home in Lake Villa. Loren enjoyed playing golf and was a member of the DOMC. He served his country during the Korean War. Loren was a wonderful friend to everyone.
He is survived by his wife of 19 years, Barbara Kreider; his mother, Christina Kreider; eight children; 21 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and four brothers and sisters.
A funeral service is scheduled for Thursday, July 24, 2003 at 10 a.m. at STRANG FUNERAL CHAPEL & CREMATORIUM, 410 E. Belvidere Rd., Grayslake, IL 60030. Friends of the family may visit from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, July 23, 2003 at the funeral chapel. Interment will be held immediately after the service at Highland Memorial Park in Libertyville, IL. Phyllis D. McSee
Phyllis D. McSee, age 43, of Waukegan, IL passed away suddenly on July 17, 2003 at the Condell Medical Center, Libertyville, IL.
She was born February 3, 1960 in Waukegan and lived most of her life in North Chicago, IL. She previously was employed at Ft. Sheridan, IL and most recently worked as a caseworker for the State of Illinois, Department of Human Services.
She is survived by her parents, Elsye McSee Williams and Julian R. Penny (Molly); a brother, Brian McSee; six sisters, Teresa McSee Odoms (Laurence), Jennifer Penny, Julianne Penny, Valerie Penny, Deborah Penny and Cheryl Funches (Charles); a step brother, Herbert Williams, Jr., five step sisters, Karen (Calvin) Pitts, Avis Williams, Kim Williams, Vivian Jones and Cynthia Williams; several nephews including, Terrell McSee, Joshua McSee and Keniel Odoms; a niece, Teresa L. Williams; a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and dear friends including Kathy Craigen and Stephanie Honeycutt, a very dear friend Kenneth Williams; three goddaughters, Brittany, Breanna and Latoya.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Julian and Geraldine Penny, maternal grandmother, Viola E. Gaines and a brother, Arthur D. Williams.

Alan O. Nelson
Alan O. Nelson, 75, of Lake Villa, IL passed away at Condell Medical Center, Libertyville, IL on Sunday, July 20, 2003.
He was born in Chicago, IL on September 12, 1927, the son of the late Mildred and Axel Nelson. He was a resident of Lake Villa since 1955. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Navy. He attended Knox College in Galesburg, IL. He was a retired Journeyman Plumber and a member of Plumbers Local 93. He was a retired member of the Lake Villa Volunteer Fire Department and was a charter member of the Underwater Recovery Unit. He was a member of the Millburn Masonic Lodge. Member and past commander of the American Legion- Lake Villa Post. He was a former consultant with the Lake County Forest Preserve. He married Martha Allene (nee Cox) on December 18, 1948.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Allene; his children, Alana (John) Piniotes of Worth, IL, Dale (Rita) Nelson of North Carolina, Charles Nelson of Lincoln, IL and Bruce (April) Nelson of Chicago, IL; his grandchildren, Micah, Joshua, Jason, Annette and Abigail; his brother, Robert (Doreen) Nelson of Wooddale, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Arthur (Martha) Beahm.
Memorial services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 26, 2003 at RINGA FUNERAL HOME, 122 S. Rte. 83, Lake Villa, IL 60046. The family will meet with friends from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services on Saturday.

Mildred "Millie" Novak
Mildred "Millie" Novak, 91, of Waukegan, Illinois died Sunday, July 20, 2003 at St. Therese Hospital.
Millie was born September 16, 1911 in Waukegan, IL, and lived in this area most of her life. She was a former member of Mother of God Church and was a member of the church choir. She was also a member of Catholic Womens Club of Lake County, St. Anne's Lodge KSKJ #127, Christian Mothers Club.
Millie is survived by her loving children, Frank (Valarie nee Bastys) Novak of Gurnee and Margaret "Margie" Seveska of Lake Villa; a daughter-in-law, Judy Novak, son-in-law, James Murphy; seven grandchildren, Linda (Christopher) Stoyanoff, Loretta Novak, Kevin (Jennifer) Murphy, Michelle (Christopher) Walsh, Tamara (Kevin) Finch, Brian Seveska and Laura (Greg) Falk; six great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband Frank "Bobo" in 1975; a son James "Jimmy" Novak in 1986; a daughter, Carol Murphy, 2002; a sister, Stephanie Van Gerrewey; a brother, Rudolph Bencina in 1989 and son-in-law, Dennis Seveska in 1980.
Visitations will be held Wednesday, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the GURNEE/SALATA FUNERAL HOME, 4190 Old Grand Av., Gurnee, and on Thursday from 10-10:30 a.m. at the church.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday July 24, 2003 at Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 900 14th St., North Chicago, IL. Interment will be at Ascension cemetery in Libertyville, IL.

Joseph A. Van Eeckhout
Joseph A. Van Eeckhout, 84, a lifetime resident of Lake Forest, July 21, 2003, was born September 5, 1918 in Lake Forest. He was a member of the American Legion and Past Commander of Alexander McKinlock Post No. 264 in Lake Forest. Mr. Van Eeckhout retired as superintendent of Lake Forest cemetery in 1980.
He is survived by his beloved wife: Anna "Joan" nee Rogers; his loving children: Raymond (Linda) Van Eeckhout of Lake Forest and Richard (Barbara) Van Eeckhout of Lopez Island, Washington; dear grandchildren: Thomas, Joseph and Nicolas.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Maurice and Marcel.
Visitation will be held from 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at WENBAN FUNERAL HOME, 320 E. Vine, Ave., Lake Forest. Funeral mass 10 a.m. Thursday, July 24, 2003, at the Church of St. Mary, 175 E. Melvin H. Willoughby
Mel Willoughby, 83, passed away July 12th 2003 in Tucson, AZ. He was born January 19, 1920 in Milburn, IL. He was a World War II veteran, was involved in five major battles, and received an EAME Theater Ribbon with five bronze stars. He was truly a part of the "Greatest Generation". He raised a family in Waukegan, IL and was the barber/owner of "Mel's Barber Shop" on West Washington Street for many years. When retired, he and his wife Wanda moved to the beautiful Foot Hills of western Tucson, Arizona where they enjoyed many happy years.
Mel is survived by Wanda, his wife of 58 years, living in Tucson, AZ; his daughters Linda S. (Susie) Willoughby of Tucson, AZ and Randy L. Willoughby of Prospect Heights, IL; an adored grandson Shannon E. Ladewig and wife Stacey and very much loved great grandchildren, Dustin, Ashley and Katie of Tucson. He also leaves two nephews, James Strang and Gerald Miltimore of Illinois. Last but not least, he leaves a good friend and neighbor in both Waukegan and Tucson, someone who worked with Mel as a second barber and was a friend that he truly saw as a part of our family, Richard Adler (Donna) and family.
Per Mr. Willoughby's request he was Memorialized privately by his family. Given that he and his wife both enjoyed fishing and nature, he requested that his ashes be placed with his wifes upon her passing and scattered in the Mountains overlooking a beautiful lake to be chosen by his daughters and grandson. He will be truly missed.

Dennis S. De Jule
Dennis S. De Jule, 56 years old of Antioch, IL passed away Saturday July 19, 2003 at his home. He was born September 4, 1946 in Chicago the son of the late Clement and Eudora (Koenig) De Jule. He served in the U.S. Army in Vietnam and moved to Antioch in 1978. Dennis was a former City of Chicago Policeman and had also worked as a Lumber Yard Foreman. He married Joy Reardon Martini on March 5, 1975 in Park Ridge, IL.
Survivors include his wife Joy; five daughters, Sally Hayes of Sierra Vista, AZ, Dawn (Roger) Hemps of Wooddale, IL, Virginia (Richard) Giannoni of Antioch, Margaret (Michael) Sexton of Chicago and Deadra (Scott) Stanfel of Lindenhurst; two sons, John Martini of Las Vegas, NV and Steven (Tracy) Martini of Schiller Park, IL; a brother, James (Carol) Reardon of Antioch and a sister, Judith Schon of Park ridge, IL; 22 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Visitation 4 p.m. Tuesday July 22, 2003, with prayer services at 7 p.m. at STRANG FUNERAL HOME OF ANTIOCH, 1055 Main St. (Rte. 83). Memorial Mass 10 a.m. Friday July 25, 2003 at St. Peter Church, 557 Lake St, Antioch. In lieu of flowers, donations to the family for memorials appreciated.

Allen L. Ehredt
Allen L. Ehredt, 67, of Lake Villa, IL passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2003 at the University of Chicago Hospital, Chicago, IL.
He was born in Chicago, IL on January 21, 1936, the son of the late Ruth and William Ehredt. He was a resident of Lake Villa for the past four years, moving from Long Island, New York. He was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Lake Villa. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army and belonged to the American Legion, Fox Lake Post. He was a member of the Moose, Antioch Lodge and Bayshore, NY Lodge. He was retired from the Newsday Newspaper, Melville, N.Y., where he was a journeyman pressman. Member of GCIU, Local 7, Chicago and Local 406 New York. He married Catherine (nee Arvello) on Aug. 28, 1954.
He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Catherine; his children, Allen Jr. (Francine) of Gurnee, IL, Mary Kai (Daniel) Frano of Barrington, IL and Anthony of Lake Villa; his grandchildren, William, Samantha, Allen, Andrew, Catherine, Daniel, Rebekah, Christine and Quintin; his sisters, Donna Jean, Nancy, Carol, Dolores and Phyllis. He was preceded in death by his brother, Warren.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 22, 2003 at RINGA FUNERAL HOME, 122 S. Rte. 83, Lake Villa, IL 60048. Interment will be at Ascension cemetery, Libertyville, IL. Visitation will be Monday, 4-8 p.m. and Tuesday, 9-10 a.m.

John P. Lodolce
John P. Lodolce, 81, of Lake Villa, IL passed away on Friday, July 18, 2003 at Victory Lakes Continuing Care Center, Lindenhurst, IL.
He was born in Chicago, IL on May 20, 1922 the son of the late Cecilia and Joseph Lodolce. He was a resident of Venetian Village for the past 50 years. He was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Lake Villa. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U.S. Army. John's hobby was clock making. He also was an expert woodworker and made the lecterns, cabinets and tables for Prince of Peace Church. On June 19, 1943 he married Elizabeth (nee Hollech).
He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Betty: his children, John (Karen) Lodolce, Jr. of Dundee, IL and Linda (Edward) Henry of Humbird, WI; his grandchildren, James (Amy), Timothy and Jennifer; his great granddaughter, Aidan; his sisters, Rose, Marie and Cecilia.
He was preceded in death by his grandson, Jeremy and his brothers and sisters, Joseph, Peter, Sal, Pat, Christine and Josephine.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 21, 2003 from RINGA FUNERAL HOME, 122 S. Rte. 83, Lake Villa, IL 60046, to Prince of Peace Church for an 11 a.m. funeral mass. Interment will be at St. Joseph cemetery, River Grove, IL. Visitation will be Monday, 9-10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials appreciated to Prince of Peace "Growth in Spirit" building fund.
