Pansy Mulvany
Services for Mrs. Clyde (Pansy L.) Mulvany, 83, of Salem were held at 11 a.m. today (Wednesday) in the Rankin Funeral Home in Salem. Burial was in the Shadden Cemetery in Iuka.
She died Sunday, Aug. 4, 2002.
She was a retired cook and a member of the Marion County HCE and Primitive Baptist Church.
She married Clyde Mulvany, and he preceded her in death.
Survivors include sons, Donald R. of Bethany, Darrell L. of West Memphis, Ark., Carol of Decatur and Lindell of Salem; daughters, Jean Clark and Carolyn Page, both of Salem; 13 grandchildren; and 20 great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Ed Turner
Services for Mrs. Ed (Peggy Sue Clark) Turner, 36, of Gays were held at 10 a.m. Monday in the Schilling Funeral Home in Mattoon. Burial was in Rest Haven Memorials Gardens in rural Mattoon.
She died at 9:45 p.m. Wednesday, July 31, 2002 in her home.
Born March 19, 1966 in Coles County, she was a daughter of Edward and Eileen Potter Clark. She was a homemaker. She married Ed Turner in 1990, and he survives.
Other survivors include a son, Eddie Turner of Gays; daughter, Amanda Turner of Gays; mother, Eileen Clark of Charleston; brothers, William Clark and Richard Clark, both of Charleston, and Edward Clark of Decatur; and sisters, Patty Clark and Donna Perry, both of Charleston.

Irene Bishop
Mrs. Robert (Irene E. Smith) Bishop, 91, of Decatur went to be with her Lord and Saviour at 12:55 a.m. Monday, Aug. 26, 2002 in her residence.
Services for the former Shelbyville resident will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 29, 2002 in the Dawson & Wikoff Colonial Chapel North with visitation from 6 to 8 tonight (Wednesday). Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery in Decatur.
Mrs. Bishop was born Feb. 7, 1911 in Shelbyville, the daughter of Charles H. Smith and Amy Amanda Smith. She was affiliated with the West Decatur Church of God. She worked at the Signal Depot and later she was a seamstress at the Eldorado Garment Factory from which she retired. She was an original member of the Tune Twisters at the Oxford House. She loved to sing and compose poetry. She married Robert C. Bishop Nov. 11, 1933, and he preceded her in death Dec. 25, 1978.
Surviving are her sons, Clifford Leo Bishop of Phoenix, Ariz. and Robert Gene Bishop and wife Diane of Mesa, Ariz.; daughters, Rita B. Harper of Decatur, Carol L. Foster and husband Robert of Decatur, June E. Durbin and husband Dean of Decatur and Pam F. Sternaman and husband Kurt of Peoria, Ariz.; brother, Clifford B. Smith of Shelbyville; sisters, Ruth E. Sater of Rockford and Margaret Forcum of Mode; 28 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews, family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; sisters, Esther Ragan and Goldie Galvin; brothers, Howard Smith, Theodore Smith and William Jacob "Don" Smith; three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
We would like to thank Decatur Memorial Hospice for their loving care of our mother.

Jill Doyle
Funeral services for Jill Marie Brandenburger Doyle, 25, of Sullivan were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Reed Funeral Home in Sullivan with the Rev. Dr. David Leslie officiating. Burial was in Greenhill Cemetery in Sullivan.
She died of natural causes at 10:20 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22, 2002 in the Sarah Bush Lincoln Health Center in Coles County.
Jill was born March 22, 1977 in Jacksonville, Fla., the daughter of the Rev. Mike and Virginia Burke Brandenburger. She was a secretary for the family business, Sullivan Printers, and was a member of the Sullivan First Christian Church. She married Joseph Doyle July 27, 1996 in Sullivan.
Surviving are her husband, Joseph Doyle of Sullivan; son, Branden, and daughter, Kelsey, both at home; mother, Virginia Brandenburger of Sullivan; maternal grandparents, Don and Rebecca Burke of Canton, Mo.; aunts, Diane Weaver and her husband Jack of Sullivan and Jan Hutchison and her husband Mile of Scottsdale, Ariz.; uncles, Doug Burke of Columbia, Mo. and James Burke of Hannibal, Mo.; and cousins, Dean Weaver of Sanford, Fla., Marcy Weaver of Bloomington, Minn., Brett Hutchison of Scottsdale, Ariz. and Jamie Lynn Burke and Jared Burke, both of Palmyra, Mo.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Alta and Byron Brandenburger; father, the Rev. Mike Brandenburger; and her aunt, Carol Sue Brandenburger.
Jill was a devoted mother to Kelsey and Branden and will be greatly missed by her entire family.
In lieu of flowers, a trust fund has been established for Kelsey and Branden Doyle. Contributions to the trust fund may be sent to the First Mid-Illinois Bank, 200 S. Hamilton St., Sullivan, IL 61951.

James Adams
Funeral services for James K. Adams, 49, of Lovington were held at 10:30 a.m. Monday in the Church of God in Lovington. Graveside services were held in the Jewett Cemetery with arrangements by the McMullin-Young Funeral Home in Lovington.
He died at 3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, 2002 in his home.
Born June 8, 1953 in Effingham, he was the son of James O. and Shirley Carter Adams. He was a veteran of the Army and a member of the Church of God in Lovington.
Survivors include his parents of Lovington; daughter, Melissa Adams of Kenosha, Wis.; sister, Nancy L. Wright of Orlando, Fla.; and brother, John J. Adams of Lovington.

Ethel Simpson
Services for Mrs. Alexander (Ethel C. Collins Simpson), 98, of Lovington were held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the McMullin-Young Funeral Home in Lovington. Burial was in the Keller Cemetery in Lovington.
She died at 9:20 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2002 in the Lutheran Care Center in Altamont.
Born May 10, 1904 in Lovington, she was the daughter of C.C. and Harriett Johnson Collins. She married Alexander Simpson Dec. 26, 1955 in Decatur, and he died Nov. 3, 1970.
Survivors include sons, John C. Simpson of Pisgah Forest, N.C. and David R. Simpson of Altamont; brothers, Jack W. Collins of Minneapolis, Minn. and Charles Collins of Arthur; six grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.
One son, two brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Memorials to the Lovington Christian Church are suggested.

Daniel Stumpf Jr.
Services for Daniel Hall Stumpf Jr., 50, of Champaign were held at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday) in the Morgan Memorial Home in Savoy. Burial was in the Findlay Cemetery.
He died at 1:20 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, 2002 in the Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana.
Born Nov. 8, 1951 in Shelbyville, he was the son of Daniel Hall Sr. and Maurine Graven Stumpf. A mechanic, he was the owner of SUPERWRENCH & STUMPF and Sons Trucking, attended Parkland College and was a certified welder and A.S.C. mechanic. He was a member of the Vineyard Christian Fellowship Church for 22 years and served as a deacon, was a Boy Scout and 4-H member and served as a fireman. He married Debra Coffey Dec. 27, 1969 in Rantoul, and she survives.
Other survivors include sons, Timothy Paul Stumpf, Allen Daniel Stumpf, Walter Dean Stumpf and Phillip Thomas Stumpf, all of Champaign; daughter, Sarah Yvonne Stumpf of Champaign; his mother of Rantoul; sisters, Phyllis McReynolds of Bethany, Linda Robertson of Rantoul and Sally Connors of Aurora; and two grandsons.
Memorials to the family are suggested.

Pansy White
Mrs. Vincent (Pansy M. Wisley) White, 84, of Sullivan died at 3:45 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26, 2002 in St. Mary’s Hospital in Decatur.
Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the McMullin-Young Funeral Home in Sullivan with visitation from 6 to 8 tonight (Wednesday). Burial will be in Moultrie County Memorial Park in rural Sullivan.
Born March 17, 1918 in Moultrie County, she was the daughter of Clarence O. and Polly Ann Smith Wisley. She was a member of the Christian Fellowship Church of God. She married Johnny Spencer in 1935. She then married Vincent White July 23, 1959, and he died in 1990.
Survivors include sons, Jack Spencer of Sullivan and Donald Spencer of Stafford, Va.; daughter, Nellie Stevens of Decatur; 11 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.
One daughter, two sisters, one brother and one grandchild preceded her in death.
Memorials to the donor’s choice are suggested.
