Age 76. Friday, June 8, 2001 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center. born in Joliet and a lifelong resident. Member of St. Jude Catholic Church.
Surviving are her loving husband, David J. Heaney of Joliet; two children, David P. (Kim) Heaney of Joliet and Sue (Bill) Worthington of Coal City; five grandchildren, Billy Jr., Julie, Dave S., Jeff and Elaine; three great-grandchildren, Matthew, Ryan and Brandi.
Preceded by her parents, Steve and Louise (nee Meyers) McGowan; three sisters, Mary Lou Scott, Rita Stonitsch and Betty Smith.
Funeral services for June Ann Heaney will be Monday, June 11, 2001 at 9:30 a.m. from the West Chapel to St. Jude Catholic Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. Visitation Sunday 3-7 p.m. at:

Delbert L. Holm
Age 78. Wednesday, June 6, 2001 at his late residence. born in Emington, IL, a long time Lockport resident until moving to Joliet in 1997. A Sergeant with the United States Air Force serving during WWII. Member of St. Peter Lutheran Church. Life member of Cantigny Post VFW #367; life member of VFW National Home.
Preceded in death by his parents, Peter H. and Catherine (nee Skow) Holm; two brothers, Herbert M. and Milo L. (Evelyn) Holm.
Survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Adelaide (nee Mansfield) of Joliet; one daughter, Catherine C. Griffin; two grandsons, Robert L. (Tami) and Steven W. Perry; one great-grandson, Kameron Perry; three sisters, Louise (Robert) Mickelson, Aldine (Herman) Olsen and Alberta (Clarence) Simantel; one brother, Irvin F. (late Evelyn) Holm.
Funeral services for Delbert L. Holm will be Monday, June 11, 2001 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 310 N. Broadway, Joliet where he will lie in state from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at 10:00 a.m. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials in his memory to St. Peter Lutheran Church, the VFW National Home for Children, 3573 S. Sister M. Clarita Klainoski, O.S.F.
Of the Sisters of St. Francis of Mary Immaculate, 520 Plainfield Road, Joliet, died at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home on June 8, 2001, age 90 years and professed as a Religious Sister for 67 years.
Sister Clarita was born to the former John and Sophia (Koziol) Klainoski in Chicago, Illinois and entered the Congregation of the Third Order of St. Francis of Mary Immaculate, September 1932. Sister Clarita ministered in elementary education for 41 years in Illinois, Ohio, Colorado and Missouri, then for 16 years served as Sacristan at St. Francis Convent, Joliet, IL. Sr. Clarita continued to tutor until she retired in 1992.
Surviving Sister Clarita are one sister, Caroline Landergren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
The wake will be held at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home, Joliet, on Sunday, June 10, from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. A Prayer Service will be held at 4:30 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 7:00 p.m. in Our Lady of Angels' Chapel. The burial will take place from Our Lady of Angels on Monday, June 11, at 9:00 a.m., followed by a Committal Service at Resurrection Cemetery in Romeoville.
Memorials may be made to the Sisters of St. Francis, 520 Plainfield Road, Joliet, IL 60435.

Michael R. Brown
Age 54, Friday, June 8, 2001, Silver Cross Hospital. Late of New Lenox.
Survived by his loving wife, Patricia M. (Martin) Brown; one son, Robert (Lori) Brown; one daughter, Christina (Dave) Meeks; two granddaughters, Julia and Hayley Meeks; two brothers, Dennis (Billie Jo) Brown, Terry Brown; one sister, Kathy (Gil) Vale; and his mother, Jeanne (Lecture) Brown.
Born in Chicago living in New Lenox the past years coming from Righton Park.
Employed as an engineer for 36 years by Local 399 of the International Union of Operating Engineers.
Preceded in death by his father, Leo Brown.
Family will receive friends at the Kurtz Memorial Chapel, Cedar at Francis Road, Monday, 2:00 to 8:00 PM. Services Tuesday, June 12, 2001, 10:00 AM in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.

Ralph C. Murphy
Age 95, of Joliet, Saturday, June 2, 2001 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center. born August 21, 1905 in Aurora, IL to the late Charles J. and O. Christine Murphy. Moved to Joliet in 1930 and joined the law firm of Barr and Barr. He practiced law 56 years until his retirement in 1986, as senior partner in the firm then known as Murphy, Timm, Lennon, Spesia and Ayers. Fellow of the Amercan College of Trial Lawyers, member of the Illinois State Bar Association and past president of the Will County Bar Association. A Veteran of WWII, served as Lieutenant with Air Group 9 in the U.S. Navy aboard aircraft carriers in the Pacific. Promoted to Lieutenant Commander at the end of the War. Sixty year member of the Central Presbyterian Church of New Lenox (formerly of Joliet). Many civic involvements including past president and 59 year member of the Kiwanis Club, Community Chest, Campaign Chair and past president of Joliet and Chicago Red Cross Boards.
Survived by one son, Bert C. Murphy of Corte Madera, CA; two daughters, Christine M. (Ronald) Kuchinski of Vacaville, CA and Attorney Claire M. (Douglas) Wilson of Minooka; four grandchildren, Kelly M., Kasey L. and Kayla Kuchinski of Vacaville and Gregory M. Wilson of Minooka. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 59 years, Dorothy L. (nee Lentz) Murphy; one son, Dan R. Murphy; brother, Harold J. (Nina) Murphy; two sisters, Hellen (late Haakon) Andersen and Frances (late Robert) Balsley.

Age 59, late of Homer Township. Suddenly Friday, June 7, 2002 at his late residence. born in Chicago, living in Homer Township for 23 years.
Preceded in death by a son, Cry Craig; and his father, Lebern Craig.
Survived by his wife, Edith (nee Pollett), his children, Lori (Marion) Cunningham of AZ and Jeff (Ruth) of Romeoville; four grandchildren; four step grandchildren; and his mother, Gertrude Craig of Justice.

Age 83, passed away June 7, 2002 at her residence in Toledo, OH, formerly of Gary, IN and Joliet, IL. A Nurses Aide for St. Mercy Hospital in Gary, IN retiring in 1974 after 22 years of service.
She is survived by her children, Mary Lou Baxter, Frederick Barcenas, Juanita (Eddie) Ramirez, Susie (Eddy) Piatkowski, David (Teresa) Soto, Carlos (Adeline) Escabalzeta Jr, Deborah Escabalzeta-Garcia, Jessie (Hector) Holguin, Clara Escabalzeta and Paul (Janet) Escabalzeta. Sister of Mary Aleman, Stella (Angel) Jimenez, Helen (Alfonso) Hernandez, Gloria (Felix) Hernandez, Sophie Perez and Paul (Rosa) Mendoza. Sister-in-law of, Rose Mendoza. Grandmother of 45; great grandmother of 74. Great great grandmother of six. Aunt of many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Carlos Escabalzeta Sr., her parents, Jose and Susana Mendoza; a son, Joseph Barcenas; also a brother, Manuel Mendoza.

Carl Elliot Jordan
Age 55 of Joliet, IL. Passed away Monday, June 3, 2002 at Silver Cross Hospital in Joliet. He was employed with the Illinois Department of Corrections (Stateville Prison) for several years, where later he retired at Lt. Guard.
Preceded in death by his parents, Earnest and Arcenia Jordan; grandparents, Henry and Hattie Sharpe; one brother, Leroy Jones.
