Formerly of Wilmington, late of Benton, KY, passed away Friday, July 19, 2002 at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah, KY. Age 69 years.
Born in Ritchie, IL on April 6, 1933 to Everett and Essie Day-Willis. She was a member of the Baptist Church of Wilmington.
Survived by her loving husband, Joseph. Two sons, Joseph (late Carolyn) and Terry (Debbie) Craterfield both of Wilmington. Two grandchildren, Aaron and Tiffany Craterfield; her mother, Essie White of Benton, KY; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Preceded in death by her father, Everett Willis.
Visitation will be held Monday, July 22, 2002 from 4 to 8 PM and Tuesday, July 23, 2002 from 9 AM until time of Funeral Service at 10 AM at the Reeves Funeral Home in Wilmington with Rev. Ron Taylor officiating. Interment Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Wilmington. Memorials of the donors choice appreciated.

Mary Joan "Jonie" Duranto (nee Bulkley)
Mary Joan "Jonie" Duranto, (nee Bulkley), age 62, died Sunday, July 21, 2002 at her home in Manhattan.
Survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Ronald L. Duranto. Four daughters, Lynn (Scott) Traser of McColmb, IL, Elizabeth (Ronald Sr) Vanderhyden of Essex, IL, Mary Susan (Thomas) Fisher of Noblesville, IN and Amy Joanne (Anthony) Brandolino of Braidwood. A son, John Charles (Amy) Duranto of Kokomo, IN. 14 grandchildren. A brother, Robert Alfred (Julie) Buckley of Desoto, TX. A sister, Elizabeth Anne (Gerald) Elliott of Phoenix, AZ. Numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by her parents, Alfred H. and Mary Cheshire Bulkley.
Jonie was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and lived in Manhattan since 1961. She was a member of St. Joseph Parish and CCW. and also a member of the Manhattan Women's Club. She worked as a volunteer at the Manhattan Public Library.
Funeral Services for Mary Joan Duranto will be 9:30 AM Wednesday, July 24, 2002 from the Forsythe Funeral Chapel, 320 Eastern Ave., Manhattan to St. Joseph Church, 235 West North Street, 10 AM Mass. Interment Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery.
Memorials to the Joliet Area Community Hospice or the Manhattan Public Library would be most appreciated. Visitation from 4 to 8 PM.

Age 80, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2002 at her home in New Lenox.
Survived by her loving husband of 53 years, William J. Eckert. Three daughters, Jeanne (William) Miller, Kathleen (Robert) Lindemann and Valarie (Douglas) Slusarski. Her son, Gregory (Joanne) Eckert. 14 grandchildren.
Born in Chicago, IL, living in New Lenox past six years, coming from Chicago.
Preceded in death by her parents, Nicholas and Katherine (Miller) Wirtz; a sister; and three brothers.
Family will receive friends at Kurtz Memorial Chapel, Cedar at Francis Rd on Tuesday from 2 PM until 8 PM. Funeral Services Wednesday, July 24, 2002, 10 AM in the funeral home chapel to St. Jude Church for Mass of Christian Burial, 10:30 AM. Interment St. Mary's Cemetery, Evergreen Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Age 73, passed away Saturday, July 20, 2002 at her home in Romeoville.
Survived by her loving husband, Leroy F. Flentge; a daughter, Nancy Flentge; two sons, Roy Flentge and David (April) Flentge; two grandchildren, Joshua and Matthew Flentge; a brother, Frank Hodek; and several nieces and nephews.
Born in Cicero, living in the area since 1963.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary (Zibrid) Hodek; a granddaughter, Jennifer Flentge; and a sister, Evelyn Flentge.
Family will receive friends at the Goodale Memorial Chapel, 912 S. Hamilton Street, Tuesday, 4 to 8 PM. Services Wednesday, July 24, 2002, 10 AM in the funeral home with the Rev. Gil Palmer officiating. Interment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Cancer Society would be appreciated.

Gary G. Gregg
Gary G. Gregg, 56, of Dunfermline, IL passed away Sunday, July 21, 2002 at Methodist Medical Center, Peoria, IL.
He was born July 16, 1946 in Rock Island, IL, the son of Eugene L. and Elizabeth Starcevich Gregg.
Survivors include his wife of 14 years, Debra (nee Herrick), they were married March 5, 1988 in Canton, IL; Staff Sgt. Daniel Munger, Fort Bragg, NC; daughters, Helen Murray of Joliet, IL, Jennifer Priesner of Warsaw, IL and Angela Munger of Canton, IL; two grandchildren, Kelsey Munger and Gregory Murray; his mother of Dunfermline, IL; and a brother, Michael Gregg of Dunfermline, IL.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene L. Gregg.
He was an Army veteran, of the Catholic faith was employed by Cilco as a Coal Equipment operator for 19 years, retiring in 1999. He was a member of the Croation Federation and was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Funeral Services will be held at 10 AM Wednesday, July 24. 2002 in the Oaks-Hines Funeral Home, Canton with Rev. Robert O'Connor officiating. Burial will be in Highbridge Cemetery, Dunfermline, IL.
Visitation will be from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home in Canton.
Memorials may be made to the Central Illinois Organ Donation Program.

Mary Hertko (Benac)
Mary Hertko (Benac), died at the age of 83 years after a 23 year courageous battle with cancer.
She is preceded in death by her loving husband, Tony (1977); her parents, Matthew and Maria Benac; four brothers, Vic, John, Joe and George; a sister, Kate; and the dear Guenzani family.
Survived by two daughters, Mary Ann Cassani of Channahon and Marge (Gary) Taylor of Plainfield; two grandchildren,Nicole and Scott Taylor; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Born in Joliet, she was a life long resident. Funeral Services will be held at Tezak Funeral Home, 1211 Plainfield Rd. Wednesday, July 24, 2002 at 10:30 AM. Interment Ss Cyril and Methodius Cemetery. Visitation Tuesday, July 23, 2002 from 4-8 PM.

Dennis J. Madigan, Sr.
Age 58. Retired U.S. Navy S.C.P.O. Late of New Lenox died Saturday, July 20, 2002 at Hines V.A. Hospital.
Survived by his wife, Mary (nee Flanagan); three sons, Dennis J. (Renee) Madigan Jr, Brian (Pamela) Madigan and Michael (Lisa) Madigan; three grandchildren, Cody, Hannah and Haley; three sisters, Dorothy (Jay) Staley, Margaret (Jack) Heatter and Frances (Kenneth) Manning; three brothers, William, Richard and John (Dottie) Madigan; also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association.

Age 93. Passed away Friday, July 19, 2002 at Our Lady of Angels Retirement Home.
Preceded in death by her husband, Dale G. Nicholson, who was an attorney for many years in Joliet; two sisters, Rosallie Bagnell and Sister Mary Ignatia O.P. and one brother, Thomas Bagnell.
Survived by one son, Bert (Janetta) Nicholson of Wheaton, IL; one daughter, Jane (Everett) Hauck of Oak Brook, IL; five grandchildren, Paul and Robert Nicholson, Mary Ann (Rich) Waters, Charles and Richard Hauck; one sister, Alice Bagnell.
Born in Joliet, a lifelong resident. Graduated from St. Joseph Academy in Adrian, MI attended J.J.C. and Illinois State University. In her early life, Mary taught in the Joliet Public Schools. Member of Joliet Catholic Women's League. Mary was an avid Bridge player and a voracious reader, as well as a Loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, July 22, 2002 at Our Lady of Angels, 1201 Wyoming Ave., at 10:00 A.M. Private Entombment Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation Monday morning at Our Lady of Angels 9:00 A.M. until time of mass.
