Samuel Carl Barbier
Samuel Carl Barbier, 78 years of Yorkville, IL died Thursday, January 11, 2001 at Northwestern Hospital in Chicago, IL. He was born June 14, 1922 in Downers Grove, IL the son of the late Carl and Tina Barbier. He served with the US Navy during World War II in the Pacific Campaign. Over the years he was a participant in the World War II Veterans visits to the area schools to tell about the armed forces and especially World War II. He was a member of the Wood Carver Museum of New Holland, IL, Tin Can Saliors and the wooden carvers group and a teacher to the groups at FVOAS and the Beecher Senior Center of Yorkville, IL. He enjoyed his times of going to Bill's Restaurant in Montgomery, IL to visit and talk with the other World War II veterans.
He is survived by his daughter Kathleen Barbier of Yorkville, IL a son William Morton (Sandy) Barbier of Ottawa, IL; two grandchildren, Marci Helene Barbier of Sandwich, IL, Lane Barbier of Ottawa, IL; two sisters, Ellie Fuller of Michigan City, IN, Jeanette Martinkus of Downers Grove, IL; a brother Jake (Lori) Barbier of Belport, NY; a nephew Carl Schmidt of Chicago, IL and several other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Doris Barbier and a sister Veronica Kline.
A time for gathering of friends will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2001 at the McKEOWN-DUNN FUNERAL HOME, LTD. in Oswego, IL from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. when a time of sharing/reflection will be held.
Memorials may be directed to the Tin Can Saliors Associations. Cremation was accorded to the wishes of the family with burial in the Pontiac, Il City Cemetery.

Royden L. Charlson, Aurora, IL resident, age 77, died Friday in Edward Hospital , Naperville after a long illness.

Kurt G. Erdmann
Kurt G. Erdmann, age 30, of Batavia, passed away on Thursday, January 18, 2001 at his home.
He was born July 30, 1970 in Aurora, IL, the son of Gary and Marilyn Erdmann. Kurt was a 1988 West Aurora High School graduate. He attended the US Naval Academy and the University of Illinois in Champaign. He was a gifted gymnastics athlete, participating on his high school and college teams. He also enjoyed swimming, golf and was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.
He is survived by his parents, Gary and Marilyn Erdmann of Batavia; sister, Angie (Marty) Bauer of Sugar Grove; three nieces, Brittany, Stephanie and Kami Bauer; maternal grandmother, Kathryn Quinn of Platteville, WI; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James Quinn; paternal grandparents, Gustav and Hazel Erdmann; and by his aunt, Eileen Prochaska.
Visitation will be held from 4-8 PM on Sunday, January 21, 2001 at the Yurs-Peterson Funeral Home in Batavia, where a liturgical wake service will be held at 7 PM. A funeral mass will be held at 11 AM on Monday, January 22, 2001 at Holy Cross Church in Batavia, where he will lie in state from 10 AM until the time of mass. Fr. Stephen St. Jules will officiate. James T. Felton, Jr.
James T. Felton, Jr., 52, formerly of Oswego, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2001 at Rush-Copley Medical Center, in the loving care of his family. He was born November 13, 1948 in Hannibal, MO.
James served his country in the U.S. Army, serving from 1968-1970 at Fort Meade, MD. He was a member of The Lord of Life Church, the Oswego American Legion Post #675 and the Management Association. Jim was a 32 year employee of Caterpillar. He was a long time resident of Oswego, where he graduated from Oswego High School Class of 1966. In his free time he loved fishing, woodworking, watching the Chicago Bears and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife, Denise of Aurora; parents, James and Lu Felton, Sr. of Montgomery; children Jennifer (Randy) Schwarz of Oswego, Melody (Andy) Campos of Montgomery, Christopher (Lisa) Mackey of Montgomery, Nicole (Phil) Jass of Matteson, Ryan Mackey of Chicago and Kathleen Mackey at home; brother Robert (Diane) Felton of Bloomington; sister Melinda Felton of Montgomery; grandchildren, Kayla, Tyler, Holly, Ashley, Kasey, Joshua, Cody and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
James was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 22, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. from Our Savior Lutheran Church, 420 W. Downer Pl., Aurora with Pastor Dan McKnight and Pastor Pat Woods officiating. Visitation will be on Sunday, January 21, 2001 from 4-8 p.m. at The Healy Chapel, 332 W. Downer Place, Aurora. He will be lying in state from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Monday at Our Savior Lutheran Church. Interment will be in Riverside Cemetery.

Francis R. Kluckhohn
Francis R. Kluckhohn, 84 years of Oswego, IL died Friday, January 19, 2001 at Hillside Healthcare Centre in Yorkville, IL.
He was born January 2, 1917 in Reddick, IL, the son of the late Edward H. and Gertrude (nee Unz) Kluckhohn. During World War II, he served with the OSS and the 164th Engr Combat Bn throughout the European Theatre prior to his honorable discharge. His entire life, he was involved in the construction business from the operation of heavy equipment to the design and manufacturing of construction equipment. He never really retired from his love of construction but merely slowed down his active participation. He was a member of the Aurora Moose Lodge #400.
He is survived by his daughter, Lois (Gary) Blomstrom of Washington, IL; two sons, Robert (Janene) Kluckhohn of Oswego, IL and David (Jeannine) Kluckhohn of Oswego, IL; five grandchildren, Dawn (Tony) Pulgine of Aurora, IL, Jamie Blomstrom of Denver, CO, Matthew Blomstrom of Washington, IL, Hillary Kluckhohn, Brian Kluckhohn, both of Oswego, IL; three great-grandchildren, Monika, Nicholas and Emma Pulgine; a sister, Leila Kaufman of Naperville, IL; two brothers, Marion (Delores) Kluckhohn of Neilsville, WI and Harlan Kluckhohn of Stockton, IL; and by several nieces and nephews.

Sharon Lauffenberger
Sharon Lauffenberger, 52, of Aurora, IL, died suddenly Thursday evening, January 18, 2001 in Mercy Medical Center. Ms. Lauffenberger was born August 9, 1948 in East Peoria, IL. She attended St. Olaf Evangelical Lutheran Church in Montgomery.
Survivors include her father, Robert Smith Sr. of Aurora; a sister, Hazel (Veron Sr.) Amy of Aurora; a brother, Robert (Cindy) Smith Jr. of Aurora; a nephew, Vernon (Alisia) Amy Jr. of Aurora; and a niece, Audrey Amy of Aurora.
Sharon was preceded in death by her mother, Lorene Richmond Smith.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2001 from 2-6 PM at Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway (Rt. 25), Montgomery. Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, January 22, 2001 at 11 AM where visitation will begin at 10 AM until time of services. Rev. Robert Kasperson will officiate. Thomas LeRoy Mangers
Thomas LeRoy Mangers, age 51, of Aurora, Illinois passed away suddenly on Saturday, January 13, 2001 while visiting Guadalajara, Mexico. Tom was born on January 2, 1950 in Aurora, Illinois, the son of Clarence and Betty (Hutchinson) Mangers.
Tom was for many years the owner and operator of his own painting business in the Aurora area. He was a Veteran of the United States Army having served during the War in Vietnam. He was a loving father, brother, nephew and uncle and will be dearly missed by his family and many friends.
Mr. Mangers is survived by his daughter, Tiffany Mangers of Aurora, Illinois; his sisters, Karen (Randy) West of Aurora, Illinois, Mary (Daniel) Haws of Plano, Illinois and Linda Hill of Somonauk, Illinois; his brother, Michael (Lisa) Mangers of Sandwich, Illinois; his special friend, Jackie Klene of Aurora, Illinois, the mother of his daughter; as well as, several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and both his maternal and paternal grandparents.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, January 22, 2001 at the Larson Nelson Funeral Home. 410 E. Countryside Parkway, Yorkville, Illinois. Interment will follow in the Sugar Grove Cemetery in Sugar Grove, Illinois.

Josephine H. Mangers
Josephine H. Mangers, 77, of Aurora, passed away Monday, February 26, 2001 at Countryside Healthcare Center in Aurora. She was born April 20, 1923 in Bristol, Illinois.
Mrs. Mangers was a member of Holy Angels Church, Ladies of the Moose #400, Aurora and St. Anne's Society of Holy Angels Church.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Raymond "Ray" Mangers of Aurora; three sons, Dennis L. (Cheryl) Mangers of St. Joseph, Illinois, Robert R. (Sue) Mangers of Aurora and Donald J. (Lori) Mangers of Oswego, Illinois; one daughter, Barbara J. (Bruce) Kirstein of Carlsbad, California; 11 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Hattie (Schur) Cornils and four sisters, Dorothy Cusic, Arlene Moser, Kathleen Thanepohn and Marjorie Copper.
Visitation for Mrs. Mangers will be held on Thursday, March 1, 2001 at the Dieterle Memorial Home. 1120 S. Broadway (Rt. 25), Montgomery from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. with a wake service to be held at 3:30 p.m.

Evelyn A. Robertson
Evelyn A. Robertson, 74, of Dunedin, FL, formerly of Montgomery, IL passed away on January 18, 2001 at Mease Hospital in Dunedin, FL. She was born in Plano, IL.
She moved to Dunedin in 1990. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church of Montgomery, IL.
Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Leslie Dale Robertson of Dunedin, FL; three sons, David Robertson of Aurora, IL, Steve Robertson and Jon Robertson both of Montgomery, IL; a daughter, Karen Robertson of Wheaton, IL; one brother, Wayne Wright of Los Angeles, CA; two sisters, Jean Maier of Plano, IL and Marjory Knodle of Aurora, IL; eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Glen and Helen Wright.
A memorial service will be held at the Moss-Feaster Funeral Home. 1320 Main St., Dunedin, FL on Tuesday, January 23, 2001 at 4 p.m.

Marion M. (Gengler) Braun
Marion M. Braun, 89, of Aurora, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2001 at Provena Mercy Center Hospital. She was born December 10, 1911 in Aurora, Illinois.
Marion was a long time member of St. Joseph Church, where she was a past member of both the Arch-Confraternity of Mary and the Western Catholic Union. Marion was a graduate of St. Charles Hospital School of Nursing and worked as a private duty nurse for many years.
Survivors include her son, Bob (Judy) Braun of Aurora; her daughter, Marge (Steve) Levine of Orland Park, Illinois; five grandchildren, Lynette (Ed) Klemm of Batavia, Mark Braun of Arlington Heights, Lisa (and her fiance, Jason Schisel), Sue Levine and Sarah Levine, all of Orland Park; two great grandchildren; her sister in-law, Mary Braun of Naperville and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Marion was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Leo Braun; her parents, John and Margaret (Strotz) Gengler; a brother, Harry Gengler; a sister in-law, Helen Gengler and her brother in-law, (and Leo's twin brother), Lawrence Braun.
A Memorial Mass will be held Monday, January 22, 2001 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Joseph Church. Fr. Jerome L. Leake will officiate. Family members will greet friends beginning at 9:30 a.m. Monday in the church vestibule.
There will be no visitation. Marion donated her body to medical science for the advancement of education and research.

Marian L. Entenmann (nee Meyer)
Marian L. Entenmann, resident of Glendale Heights died January 18, 2001 at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield.
Visitation will be on Sunday, January 21, 2001 from 2:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Ahlgrim Funeral Home, 567 S. Spring Rd., Elmhurst. Funeral services will be at 12 noon on Monday at Ridgewood Cemetery Chapel, 9900 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Des Plaines, IL.
Marian was a homemaker. Everyone she touched is grateful for her unconditional love and caring, we will miss her dearly.

Betty Joy Heimer
Betty Joy Heimer, 74, of Montgomery, IL, joined her Lord on January 19, 2001 after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born March 14, 1926 in Lakeville, IN. She was united in marriage to her late husband, Donald Wayne Heimer, on December 22, 1955 at Lakeville. Mrs. Heimer was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her caring and loving ways helped her as a housemother at Baltimore Hall at Moosehart, IL where she worked for many years until her retirement. Betty was a member of Christain Church of Oswegoland and Loyal Order of Moose #400, in Aurora.
She is survived by her seven sons, Darrell (Ann) Heimer of Pekin, IL, Larry (Mariko) Heimer of Port St. Lucie, FL, Michael (Nicky) Heimer of Montgomery, David (Dee Ann) Heimer of Seneca, IL, Jerry (Vicky) Heimer of Conifer, CO, Jeff (Emily) Heimer of Azle, TZ and Timothy (Denise) Heimer of Channahon; 22 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Helen Tinkel of Bremem, IN; two brothers, Everett (Vivian) Huff of Bremen, IN and Robert Huff of Florida.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Doanld Wayne Heimer in August of 1979; her parents, Garnett and Vern Huff; one son, James Heimer; one sister, Hazel Paolucci and one brother, Harold Huff.
A memorial service for Mrs.. Heimer will be held on Monday, January 22, 2001 at the Dieterle Memorial Home at 7:00 p.m. Pastors Bob Reid and Wade Heimer will officiate. The family will receive friends at the funeral home 4:00 p.m. until the hour of service at 7:00 p.m. Entombment will take place in Bremen, IN.

Dolores L. Henry
Funeral services for Dolores Laura Henry, 74 of Bozeman, Montana will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, at the Evangelical Free Church of Bozeman, by Pastor Chris Blackmore. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Henry died Thursday, January 18, 2001 in Bozeman, MT after a lengthy, but incredibly courageous battle with emphysema. She was born January 23, 1926 in Aurora, Illinois to Lester and Helen (Dobrenski) Boyles.
She attended East Aurora High School until 1944. On January 26, 1946, she married William F. "Bill" Henry in Aurora at Good Council Church. They lived many years together in Aurora and attended Good Council and Sacred Heart churches.
In 1968, she was employed with the City of Aurora at city hall, then transferred to the Police Department in record keeping and finished back at City Hall with Civil Service. She remained with the city of Aurora until February 1, 1982 and moved to Bozeman, Montana in June 1983.
Mrs. Henry was active in many activities within the church, attending various retreats, outings, and personal Christian development seminars and bible studies. Upon retiring to Montana, she enjoyed traveling and camping throughout Montana with her husband and friends coming to visit. She accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior and her family is certain of her next life in Heaven.
Survivors include her husband, Bill Henry, of Bozeman, and her four boys, William J. Henry of Las Vegas, Nevada, Robert L. Henry of Tacoma, Washington, John M. Henry of Bozeman, Montana and James C. Henry of Casper, Wyoming; her grandchildren, Joseph Henry of Las Vegas; Aaron Stutzman of N. Aurora; Steven Henry of Aurora; and Coleman, Shane, and Meaghan Henry all of Casper.
