Theresa G. Blair
Mrs. Theresa G. Blair, 73, of Aurora, passed away Sunday, March 18, 2001 at her home.
She was born on March 12, 1928 in Greenville, Alabama the daughter of the late C.B. and Theresa (Goldsmith) Hartley. Mrs. Blair was employed as a Mental Health Specialist for Elgin Hospital for 35 years.
Theresa is survived by one daughter Linda (Clarence) Dunmore of Vicksburg, MS; three grandchildren Clarence, Tiffany and Joseph; one brother Ralph Hartley of Greenville, Alabama, sister Ruby Johnson of Clovis, NM and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Wilson Blair, one brother Clarence Hartley and one sister Florence Watkins.
Funeral services will all be private.

R. Arline Boring
R. Arline Boring age 90 of Sandwich, IL passed away March 19, 2001 at Valley West Community Hospital, Sandwich, IL. She was born April 16, 1910 in rural Sandwich the daughter of Rasmus and Anna (Tuttle) Knutson.
Arline was united in marriage to Orville Boring on July 27, 1932 in Millbrook, IL. Arline was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church, Sandwich, Fox Valley Older Adults, Sandwich, and a 50 year member of Victor Homemakers Club.
Survivors include one sister Thelma (Wallace) Beardsley Sr. of Newark, IL, nieces and nephews, Wallace (Norma) Beardsley Jr. of Sheridan, IL, Ruth Ann Benoist, of Las Vegas, NV, Alice (Richard) Mathre of Newark, IL, Nyla (Terry) Winchell of Sterling, IL, and a brother-in-law Bernell Rhodes of Somonauk, IL and many great nieces and great nephews.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Donald, her husband, Orville on September 17, 1992, her sister Elenore Rhodes, and a nephew Norman Rhodes.
Funeral services for Arline will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2001 at 11:30 am at Burkhart Funeral Home, Sandwich. Rev. David Kaul will officiate. Burial will be in Eldering Cemetery, Sheridan, IL. Visitation will be held from 10:30 am until the time of service on Thursday, March 22, 2001 at Burkhart Funeral Home, Sandwich, IL.

Virginia A. Dannewitz
Virginia A. Dannewitz, age 75, of Plano, Illinois passed away on Sunday, March 18, 2001 at Provena Mercy Center in Aurora, Illinois.
She was born on October 13, 1925 in Aurora, Illinois the daughter of John and Christine (Severson) Pommier. Virginia was united in marriage on June 24, 1949 in Aurora to Mr. Harold Dannewitz and they spent the next 51 years of their lives together. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt who will be deeply missed by her family and many friends. Mrs. Dannewitz will be remembered for the many blue ribbons that she was awarded at the Sandwich Fair for her lovely sewing projects. Virginia was also a talented writer and had had several of her poems published. She also loved music and was a talented organist. Virginia enjoyed helping others and at one time volunteered as a Gray Lady at Hines Veterans Hospital in Maywood, Illinois.
She is survived by her husband, Harold, of Plano, Illinois; her daughter Linda and her husband, Anthony Sperb of Gurnee, Illinois; her grandson, Jason Sperb, of Gurnee, Illinois; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Ralph Pommier, her sisters, Laura Worley, Geraldine Rosenstiel, Isabel McGowan and Lillian Pommier.
Funeral services for Virginia will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 21, 2001 at the Larson Funeral Home in Plano, Illinois with the Reverend Scott Secrest of the First Baptist Church of Plano officiating. Entombment will follow in the Little Rock Township Cemetery, Plano, Illinois. Friends may call from 4 until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 20, 2001 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 1010 W. Gene W. Dillenburg
Gene W. Dillenburg, 72, of Montgomery passed away Monday, March 19, 2001, at Countryside Healthcare Center. He was born March 18, 1929 in Aurora, IL., the son of the late William F. & Lillian (Stainfield) Dillenburg.
Mr. Dillenburg was employed at Geneva Construction Co. for 32 years and after that he worked on various road and bridge jobs until his early retirement in 1991. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War serving with the 14th Engineer Combat Battalion, 1169th Group. He became a squad leader and demolition sergeant in 1951 & 1952. He received the United Nations Service Medal & Korean Service Medal with Bronze Star. His group helped build the Freedom Gate Bridge, across the Imjin River in 1952, during the truce talks for the exchange of prisoners of war.
He was a life time member of the Montgomery V.F.W. Post 7452, a life member of the V.F.W. National Home of Eaton Rapids, Michigan, a member of the American Legion, Post 2910 of Bloomington, IL., a member of local #638, Operative Plasterers and Cement Masons Union of the U.S. & Canada. He was also a member of the Independent Order of Forestors, Fox Valley Court #1077, an associate member of the Illinois Sheriffs Association & a life member of the Aurora Historical Society.
He is survived by his wife, Agnete M. (Hart) Dillenburg, of Montgomery; four sons, Frederich, Kurt and Erich (Cheryl) Dillenburg, all of Montgomery and Ralph (Salud) Dillenburg of West Chicago; two daughters, Anna Weber of Montgomery and Helen (Robert) Motley, of Aurora; 12 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren; one brother, Franklin Dillenburg of Sugar Grove; one sister, Albertine Dillenburg of Sandwich, IL; and one sister-in-law, Betty Dillenburg, of Montgomery; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father in January of 1951; his mother in January of 1983; two brothers, Henry in 1939 and Earl W. Dillenburg in June of 1995; one grandson, Jason A. Boston in December of 1995; and one sister, Charmaine Eggering in 1992.
Visitation for Mr. Dillenburg will be held at the Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 So. Broadway (Route 25), Montgomery, IL. on Wednesday, March 21st, 2001, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2001 at 11:00 AM at the Dieterle Memorial Home, Pastor Loghlin Sarbu will officiate with interment in Riverside Cemetery, Montgomery. Full Military Services will be conducted by Montgomery V.F.W. Post #7452.

Richard W. "Dick" Dutton
Richard W. "Dick" Dutton, 61, of North Aurora, passed away on Monday, March 19, 2001 at his home. He was born December 24, 1939 in Aurora, IL. The son of the late Harold and Geraldine Dutton.
He served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy and was a member of New England Congregational Church, the Austin-Western Supervisors Club, The Third Ward Club, The Tiger Club and the Aurora Lamplighters Barbershop Chorus. Dick was also a local Realtor for some 27 years serving The Aurora Board of Realtors in various offices.
Survivors include his wife, Jenette (Hartman) Dutton of N. Aurora; two daughters, Jodine (Sidney) Goldstein of Bristol and Jennifer Dutton of Big Rock, IL.; three grandchildren, Loren LeNette, Jacob Richard and Amanda Jane; one sister, Marlene Bonner of the Detroit area; and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday March 22, 2001 from 1:30 to 3:30 PM at the Dieterle Memorial Home, 1120 S. Broadway (Route 25), Montgomery, IL.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 22, 2001 at 3:30 PM at the Dieterle Memorial Home with the Rev. Katherine Lawes and John Wall co-officiating.
Cremation will take place at River Memorial Park in Batavia.

Ronald Lamar Hodges
Ronald Lamar Hodges, 72, formerly of Chicago passed away March 10, 2001 at Delnor Community Hospital in Geneva, IL.
Ronald was born May 28, 1928 to Earl and Rosie (Hill) Hodges in Clarysville, Mississippi. Ronald is a veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Army from September 18, 1947 until August 20, 1951. In 1956 he became employed by the CTA as a bus driver until his retirement in 1988. In February of this year Ronald and his wife Yvonne moved to the Firwood Health Care Center in Batavia.
He is survived by his wife Yvonne two sons Lester Earl Hodges, Ron Hodges Jr.; daughter Grace "Sissi: Greenlee; three brothers Eddy Hodges, Charles Hodges, Lynwood Donald Hodges; four sisters Sharon Couch, Evelyn Jackson, Sue Hardy, Deanie Hughey.
He is preceded in death by his parents and one brother Jimmy Don Hodges.
Graveside funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 22, 2001 at Irving Park Cemetery in Chicago. Rev. Steve Miller will officiate.

Ronald Petoskey
Ronald Petoskey, 45, left this earth with God His Savior, March 19, 2001, after a courageous battle with cancer the last two years. He was born May 7, 1955 in Newark, Ohio. He grew up in Mooseheart where he graduated with his mother and family.
He is survived by Denise Petoskey, his wife, and their children, Laura, Ronald Jr. and Brandon. Ronald is also survived by his loving and caring mother, Marjorie Petoskey Gaither, caring brothers, Jerry (Kim) of Oswego, David of Aurora, Stephen of Aurora, Richard (Jackie) of Crete, Randall of Roadhouse, IL., sister, Linda (Al) Dokman of North Aurora, and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his father, Leslie Petoskey and brother, Larry Petoskey of Newark, Ohio.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 21, 2001 from 5-8 p.m. at the Gurnee Funeral Home, 4190 Grand Ave., Gurnee, IL. 60031 (847)244-1155. The funeral will be on Thursday, March 21, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at the Gurnee Funeral Home.

Horst H. Ruhnow
Horst H. Ruhnow, 70, of Margate, Florida, formerly of Aurora passed away March 11, 2001 at University Hospital in Tamarac, Florida. He was born December 1, 1930 in Germany.
Mr. Ruhnow was employed at Sealmaster Bearing in Aurora for 25 years. While he resided in Florida, Mr. Ruhnow was employed by IBM and JP Morgan Chase.
Mr. Ruhnow is survived by his wife, Dolores Ruhnow of Margate, Florida; his son, Harvey Ruhnow of Saverton, Missouri; his daughter, Donna (Donald) Porcelli of Pompano Beach, Florida; three sisters, Inge Beckman, Irma Lembcke, Siglinde Merkel; two brothers, Amo Ruhnow and Herwart Ruhnow and several nieces and nephews in Germany.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hermann and Anna Ruhnow.
A memorial service was held at Forest Lawn Funeral Home in Pompano Beach, Florida.

Virginia Gossett Anderson
Virginia "Ginny" Gossett Anderson, age 69, of Plano, Illinois, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, March 21, 2001, at the Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, Arkansas.
Friends may call from 2 until 5 pm on Sunday, March 25, 2001 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 410 E. Countryside Parkway, Yorkville, Illinois.
Funeral services for Virginia will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, March 26, 2001 at Cross Lutheran Church, Rt 47, Yorkville, Illinois. A complete obituary will follow in tomorrow's edition.

Caleb Lavon Flowers
Caleb Lavon Flowers, (3 month old twin brother of Connor Flowers) of Sandwich, Illinois passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2001 at Valley West Community Hospital, Sandwich, IL.
He was born December 14, 2000 in Aurora, IL the son of Rick and Wendy (McMillen) Flowers.
He leaves behind his loving parents, Rick and Wendy Flowers of Sandwich, one sister Morgan, two brothers, Nicholas and his twin brother Connor, he will be deeply missed by his family, including his maternal grandparents, Don and Denise McMillen, of Sandwich, maternal great-grandparents, Wendell and Lorraine Smith of Sandwich, Frances McMillen of Sandwich, paternal grandparents, Earnie and Jim Gilmore of Edgewood, IL, Marylis and Harry Anderson of Yorkville, IL, paternal great-grandparents, Arthur and Lovina Johnson of Sandwich, IL, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Caleb was preceded in death by maternal great-grandfather Donald McMillen, paternal grandfather Larry Lavon Flowers.
Funeral services for Caleb will be held on Saturday, March 24, 2001 at 1:00 p.m. at Burkhart Funeral Home, Sandwich, Pastor Bob Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Sandwich. Visitation will be held two hours prior to the funeral service on Saturday, March 24th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Burkhart Funeral Home, Sandwich.

George R. Frelk
George R. Frelk, age 76 of Neilsville, WI, formerly of Aurora, IL, died March 20, 2001. born June 19, 1924 in Chicago, IL.
He was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, Aurora, IL, a member of the University of Illinois Alumni Association, the National Christmas Tree Growers Association, The State of Wisconsin Christmas Tree Growers Association, and also a member of the National Rifle Association. George was a licensed real estate broker for the State of Illinois and Wisconsin. WWII Army veteran. George was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by his daughters, Debbie (Tom) McGlinch of Lake Elmo, MN, Pattie (Howard) Arenkill of Aurora, IL; sons, Dan (Traci) of Osseo, WI and Michael (Angela) of Bath, ME; 7 grandchildren, James and Lauren McGlinch, Ashley and Alex Arenkill, Mandi, Jon and Danielle Frelk; brother, Cal (Arlene) Frelk; sisters, Evelyn Matteson and Genevieve Keough; many nieces, nephews and friends.
George was preceded in death by his loving wife, Norma; a brother, Raymond, Sr.; brothers-in-law, Raymond Matteson and John Keough.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, March 26, 2001 at 11 am at St. Jude of the Lake, 700 Mahtomedi Ave., Mahtomedi. Visitation is Sunday, March 25, 2001, 5-8pm, at Simonet Funeral Home, 6429 Osgood Ave. N., Stillwater, MN and one hour prior to service at church. Interment at St. Mary's Cemetery, Neilsville, WI. Memorials preferred to donor's choice.
A Memorial Mass will be held at Holy Angels Church, Aurora, IL, Friday, March 30, 2001 at 10:30 am with Fr. Dean Russell officiating.

Essie Darlene Harmes
Essie Darlene Harmes, age 68, of Plano, Illinois passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2001, at her home in Plano, Illinois.
She was born on July 25, 1932, in Powhatan, Arkansas, the daughter of Oris and Eva "Chris" (Hill) Davis. Darlene was united in marriage to Mr. James C. Harmes and they spent many happy years of their lives together. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who will be missed by her family and friends. Mrs. Harmes retired after 32 years of service from Caterpillar Corporation in Montgomery, IL. She was for several years a member of the Caterpillar "Girls Club". Darlene enjoyed many craft projects including working with ceramics and making lovely silk flower arrangements.
She is survived by her husband, James C. Harmes, of Plano, IL; her sons, Randy (Beverly) Harmes, of Bristol, IL and David Harmes, of Plano, IL; her daughter, Michelle Carrera, of Sandwich, IL; her grandsons, Kevin, Derek and Zachary; her mother Chris Davis, of Sycamore, IL; her brother, Bill (Phyllis) Davis, of Sycamore, IL, and several nieces and nephews.
Darlene was preceded in death by her father, Oris Davis, and her brother, Bob Davis.
A visitation for family and close friends will be held from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 23, 2001 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 1010 W. South St., Plano, IL. Funeral services for Darlene will immediately follow the visitation at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in the Little Rock Township Cemetery, Plano, IL. Katie Jones
Katie Jones, 84, formerly of Elgin, passed away Monday, March 19, 2001 at her home in Batavia. She was born June 25, 1916 in Ripley, TN to Charlie and Adlean (Waniteright) Elder.
She was employed as a technician at the Mental Health Center in Elgin for thirty years prior to her retirement. Member of the Fox Valley Chapter 137 of the Eastern Star. Katie was also a member of the Second Baptist Church in Elgin before moving to Batavia, then became a member of Logan Street Baptist Church.
She is survived by her son George W. Jones Jr. of Batavia; niece Adnette (Willie) Gunnels-Moon of Compton, CA.; and cousin Laun (Mary A.) Thompson of Elgin; two special friends Jimmie and Betty Williams and a host of other friends and relatives.
She is preceded in death by her husband, George W. Jones; her parents; and one brother, Charlie Elder.
Visitation will be held 4:00 until 8:00 PM, Friday, March 23, 2001 at Yurs-Peterson Funeral Home, 209 South Batavia Ave., Batavia, IL.
Funeral Services will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, March 24, 2001 at Logan Street Baptist Church in Batavia. She will also lie in state from 9:00 AM until the time of service. Rev. Truman B. Hazelwood will officiate and burial will be at Lakewood Memorial Park in Elgin.

Frumencio Martinez Ramirez, 90, of Aurora, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2001 at his home. He was born April 6, 1910 in Durango, Mexico.
Survivors include his three children, Soledad Martinez, Artemio (Margarita) Martinez and Luis (Blanca) Martinez; his grandchildren, Adriana (Cesar) Castro, Lydia (Manuel) Ramirez, Juventino (Marisa) Marrufo, Lidia Marrufo, Luis A. (Maria) Martinez, Jr., Maria De Los Angeles (David) Juarez, Artemisa (Ricardo) and Elizabeth Martinez; his great-grandchildren, Karla and Gabriela Juarez, Alexis R. Marrufo, Cesar, Fernando and Adrian Castro, Manny, Jasmine and Nathan Ramirez and Isaiah, Roxanna and Breanna Proyor; one brother, Heriberto Martinez; his nieces and nephews, Carlos, Alfredo, Jesus, Ruben, Heriberto, Alicia, Jose, Guadalupe, Raymundo, Raul, Marta and Carmela Martinez and several other nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Agapita Avila Martinez on September 21, 1986; and by his parents, Sabino and Soledad (Ramirez) Martinez.
Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 23, 2001 at 7:00 PM at The Daleiden Lake St. Mortuary. Pastor Daniel Enriquez will officiate. Burial will be in Mexico. LaVern C. Schramer
LaVern C. Schramer, 54, of Naperville, formerly of Aurora, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2001 in Wheatland Township. He was born July 11, 1946 in Aurora.
Mr. Schramer was the President of MCL Rental and Construction and K & S Real Estate. He was a member of the Aurora Knights of Columbus and IBEW Union 461.
Survivors include his wife Carol nee Bouchard; his mother, Josephine nee Kartheiser; two sons, LaVern C. (Loreta) Schramer Jr., president of MCL Electric and Charles S. Schramer; a daughter, Michelle A. (Michael Franz) Schramer; a brother, Kenneth J. (Roxanne) Schramer and a sister, Marlene (late Joseph) Murphy; a sister-in-law, Janet (Bob) Kutter; eight nieces and nephews, John Schramer, Dawn Schramer, Colleen (Dave) Charauski, Kathleen (Paul) Kulick, Brian Murphy, Janelle Kutter, Rob Kutter and Joe Kutter; a grand nephew, Matthew Schramer and a grand niece, Madison Schramer; and an Aunt Raffaela (Pasquale) Coffaro.
He was preceded in death by his father Sylvester Schramer.
Visitation will be held Friday, March 23, 2001 from 2:00-8:30 PM with a Liturgical Wake Service at 4:30 PM, at The Daleiden Lake St. Mortuary, 220 N. Lake St., Aurora. Funeral from The Daleiden Lake St. Mortuary, Saturday, March 24, 2001 at 10:30 AM to Our Lady of Good Counsel Church at 11:00 AM. Fr. Edward F. Gillespie will officiate. Interment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
