Visitation was Jan. 12 at Ehorn-Adams Funeral Home, Richmond. The funeral Mass was celebrated Jan. 13 at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Walter H. Wilcox
Walter H. Wilcox, 66, Phoenix, and formerly of Marengo, died Friday, Jan. 10, 1999, in Phoenix.
Visitation was Jan. 15 at the Marengo-Union Funeral Home, Marengo. The funeral was Jan. 16 at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the Cystic Foundation of Greater Illinois, 150 N. Michigan Ave., Suite 400, Chicago, IL 60601, or the Marengo Fire Department Association.

Frances ‘Frannie’ Foszcz
Frances “Frannie” Foszcz, 70, Richmond, and formerly of Chicago, Round Lake, Ingleside and Las Vegas, died Wednesday, Jan. 6, 1999, at Northern Illinois Medical Center, McHenry.
Visitation was Jan. 8 at George R. Justen and Son Funeral Home, McHenry. Funeral Mass was celebrated Jan. 9 at Christ the King Church, Wonder Lake.
Interment was in Christ the King Cemetery, Wonder Lake.
In lieu of flowers, donations or memorial contributions may be made to “CHF Outpatient Clinic” at Northern Illinois Medical Center, 4201 Medical Center Drive, McHenry, IL 60050.

Eldred L. Johnson
Eldred L. Johnson, 93, Woodstock, died Wednesday, Jan. 13, 1999, surrounded by his family at Memorial Medical Center, Woodstock.
Visitation was Jan. 17 at Schneider, Leucht, Merwin and Cooney Funeral Home, Woodstock. Mass of the Resurrection was Jan. 18 at St. Mary Catholic Church, with the Rev. Chris Kuhn officiating.
Interment was in McHenry County Memorial Park Cemetery, Woodstock.

Diane R. Wenck
Diane R. Wenck, 46, Woodstock, died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 1999, at Memorial Medical Center, Woodstock.
Visitation was Feb. 6 at Schneider, Leucht, Merwin and Cooney Funeral Home, Woodstock, followed by the funeral with the Rev. Lawrence W. Wick, Grace Lutheran Church, officiating. Interment was private.

Clarence N. Diedrich
Clarence N. Diedrich, 77, McHenry, died Thursday, Feb. 4, 1999, at his home. He was born Dec. 30, 1921, in Johnsburg, to Fred and Barbara (Steffes) Diedrich. He married Marie E. Schaefer Feb. 23, 1952, in McHenry.
Visitation was Feb. 5 at Peter M. Justen Colonial Funeral Home, McHenry. The funeral Mass was Feb. 6 at St. Mary of the Assumption Church, McHenry, with the Rev. Thomas Burr officiating. Interment was in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions made to Centegra Northern Illinois Medical Center surgical department or Masses in his name would be appreciated.

Lorrie C. Steadman
Lorrie C. Steadman, 88, Genoa City, Wis., formerly of Twin Lakes, Wis., and Spring Grove, died Wednesday, Feb. 3, at Lakeland Medical Center, Elkhorn, Wis.
Visitation was Feb. 7 at Ehorn Adams Funeral Home, Richmond. The funeral service was Feb. 8 at Grace Lutheran Church with the Rev. Terry Dufur officiating. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery, Greenwood. Memorials may be made in his name to Grace Lutheran Church.

Ruth Martinec Borchardt
Ruth Martinec Borchardt, 81, McHenry, died Monday, Feb. 1, 1999, at Fair Oaks Health Care Center, Crystal Lake. She was born Aug. 25, 1917, in Chicago, to George and Louise (Munse) Kiddelsen). Local survivors include a son, Robert Martinec, Woodstock.
Visitation was Feb. 3 at George R. Justen and Son Funeral Home, McHenry. The funeral was Feb. 4 at the funeral home, with the Rev. Michael Morris of the First Unied Methodist Church officiating. Interment was in Woodland Cemetery, McHenry. Memorial contributions made to the Alzheimer’s Association would be appreciated by the family.

Paul G. Soulard
Paul G. Soulard, 64, Beloit, Wis., died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 1999, at his home.
The visitation was Feb. 4, at Daley, Murphy, Wisch and Associates Funeral Home, Beloit. Mass of Christian Burial was Feb. 5 at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, Beloit.

Carl H. Poedtke
Carl H. Poedtke, 88, Wonder Lake, died Tuesday, Feb. 2, 1999, at St. Anthony Hospital, Rockford.
The visitation was Feb. 5, until the Masonic service at Justen’s Wonder Lake Funeral Home, Wonder Lake. Inurnment was in Oakridge Cemetery, Hillside.

Harvey Manke
Harvey Manke, 83, Woodstock, died Friday, Feb. 5, 1999, at Northern Illinois Medical Center, McHenry.
Visitation was Feb. 7 at St. John’s Lutheran Church. The funeral service was Feb. 8 at the church, with the Rev. David Kasischke officiating. Interment was in McHenry County Memorial Park Cemetery, Woodstock.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. John’s Church, 401 St. John’s Road, Woodstock, IL 60098; or to the American Cancer Society.
Funeral arrangements were made by Schneider, Leucht, Merwin and Cooney Funeral Home, Woodstock.

Gustav C. Massman, 91, Cary, died Saturday, Feb. 6, 1999, at Fountains of Crystal Lake.
Visitation was Feb. 9 at Kahle-Moore Funeral Home, Cary. The funeral will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 10, at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, Cary, with the Rev. Robert Hess officiating. Interment will be in St. Luke Cemetery, Chicago.
Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Cross Lutheran Church.

Charles F. Clark
Charles F. Clark, 76, Cary and Pine Island, Fla., died Saturday, Feb. 6, 1999, at Sherman Hospital, Elgin. He was born Nov. 18, 1922, in Chicago, to Roy and Florence (Jost) Clark Sr.
Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m., followed by the funeral at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 10, at Kahle-Moore Funeral Home, Cary. Interment will be in Windridge Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to American Cancer Society or American Heart Association would be appreciated.

Jack L. Madsen
Jack L. Madsen, 72, Harvard, died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 1999, at Harvard Memorial Hospital, Harvard.
Visitation was Feb. 7 at Ehorn-Adams Funeral Home, Hebron. The funeral was Feb. 8 at the funeral home, with deacon Russell Anderberg officiating. Interment was in Alden Cemetery, Alden. Memorial contributions may be made to Hearthstone Manor Courtyard or Hearthstone Village Courtyard, Woodstock.

Kurt D. Mansfield
Kurt D. Mansfield, 47, Rockford, died Sunday Jan. 31, 1999, at his residence.
Visitation was Feb. 5 at Fitzgerald and Associates Funeral Home, Riverside Chapel, Rockford. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family for a memorial to be established at a later date.

Laurel Ann Crowe Michelle D. Crowe
Laurel Ann Crowe was born Dec. 22, 1987. She attended Kidwatch Preschool, Chicago, Crystal Lake Montessori School, Woodstock, and was an honor roll student in fifth grade at Harvard Junior High School.
Michelle Crowe was born Oct. 10, 1953, in Highland Park, to Joe and Minnie Demichelis.
A memorial service was held Feb. 9 at First Presbyterian Church, Harvard.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Michelle and Laurel Crowe Fine Arts Fund, in care of Harvard State Bank, Harvard Savings Bank and Castle Bank, all in Harvard.

Annalee Traub
Annalee Traub, 58, Woodstock, and formerly of Elgin, died Wednesday, Feb. 3, 1999, at Northern Illinois Medical Center, McHenry. She was born Aug. 1, 1940, in Elgin, to Paul and Anna (Anderson) Traub. She was a resident of Sheltered Village, Woodstock, for 13 years. She attended Beverly Lake School and the Elgin Rehabilitation Center, both in Elgin, and the Pioneer Center, McHenry. She participated in The Special Olympics, winning numerous medals.
A private graveside service was held in Crystal Lake Union Cemetery, Crystal Lake. Funeral arrangements were made by Laird Funeral Home, Elgin.

Timothy W. Swenson
Timothy W. Swenson, 32, Harvard, died Saturday, Feb. 6, 1999, at Memorial Medical Center, Woodstock.
Visitation was Feb. 8 at Saunders and McFarlin Funeral Home, Harvard. The funeral was Feb. 9 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Harvard, with the Rev. Darrell O. Kyle officiating. Interment was in Mount Auburn Cemetery, Harvard. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.

Mildred Dorothy Raebe
Mildred Dorothy Raebe, 83, Hemet, Calif., died Friday, Feb. 5, 1999.
The funeral was Feb. 10 in the Miller-Jones Mortuary Chapel, Hemet, with the Rev. Clement Lachowsky officiating. Interment was private.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hemet-San Jacinto United Ostomy Association, P.O. Box 2297, Hemet, Calif. 92546.

Melba H. Keith, 91, Cary, died Sunday, Feb. 14, 1999, at Memorial Medical Center, Woodstock.
Visitation was Feb. 17 at Querhammer Funeral Home, Crystal Lake, with the Rev. Arnold D. Schaper officiating. Interment was private.

Inas I. Northrop
Inas I. Northrop, 78, Plato Center, died Monday, Feb. 15, 1999, at Sherman Hospital, Elgin.
There was no visitation.
The memorial service was Feb. 20 at Cornerstone United Methodist Church, Plato Center, with the Rev. Paul Meyers officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Ruth Circle of the Cornerstone United Methodist Church.
Funeral arrangements were made by Fredrick Funeral Home, Hampshire.

Stella M. Young, 96, Wauconda, and formerly of Woodstock, died Monday, Feb. 15, 1999, at Wauconda Care Centre.
A memorial service was held Feb. 21 at St. Peter United Church of Christ, Lake Zurich.
Interment was private.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the church.
Funeral arrangements were made by the Kahle-Moore Funeral Home, Cary.

Margaret Fristedt
Margaret Fristedt, 90, McHenry, died Tuesday, Feb. 16, 1999, at Alden Terrace, McHenry.
There was no visitation. A private funeral and burial were held.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Grace Lutheran Church.
Funeral arrangements were made by Schneider, Leucht, Merwin and Cooney Funeral Home, Woodstock.

Salomon C. Sanchez
Salomon C. Sanchez, 76, Woodstock, died Wednesday, Feb. 17, 1999, at home.
Visitation was Feb. 18 at Querhammer Funeral Home, Crystal Lake. The funeral Mass was celebrated Feb. 19 at St. Mary Church, Woodstock, with the Rev. James McLoughlin officiating. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery, Woodstock.

Francisco Ortiz-Cruz
Francisco Ortiz-Cruz, 52, Woodstock, died Thursday, Feb. 18, 1999, as the result of an auto accident.
Visitation was Feb. 21 at Saunders and McFarlin Funeral Home, Harvard.

Anton E. Noel Jr.
Anton E. Noel Jr., 84, Woodstock, died Friday, Feb. 19, 1999, at Memorial Medical Center, Woodstock.
Visitation followed by interment was Feb. 23 at McHenry County Memorial Park Chapel, Woodstock, with the Rev. Ronnie Verboom, First United Methodist Church, Crystal Lake, officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Anticruelty Society of Chicago, 157 W. Grand Ave., Chicago, IL 60610.
Funeral arrangements were made by Windridge Funeral Home Ltd., Cary.

Maxine P. Mass
Maxine P. Mass, 85, Woodstock, died Saturday, Feb. 27, 1999, at the home of her daughter, Woodstock.
There was no visitation in Illinois.
Visitation was March 3 at McKee-Hertz Funeral Home, Carson, Iowa. Funeral service was March 4 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Treynor. Interment was in St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements were made by Schneider, Leucht, Merwin and Cooney Funeral Home, Woodstock, and McKee-Hertz Funeral Home, Carson.
Cards and memorials may be sent to the Maxine Mass Family in care of Eleanor Station, 1400 Clay St., Woodstock, IL 60098, or to any of her sons.

Elizabeth A. “Libby” Dermont, 81, Harvard, died Tuesday, March 2, 1999, at Rockford Memorial Hospital.
Visitation was March 3 at Saunders and McFarlin Funeral Home, Harvard. The funeral was March 4 at the funeral home.
Interment was in McHenry County Memorial Park Cemetery, Woodstock.
Memorials may be made to the National Kidney Foundation or Harvard Rescue Squad.

George Melvin Martine, 74, Woodstock, died Monday, March 1, 1999, at Memorial Medical Center, Woodstock.
Visitation was March 5 at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Woodstock, with the Rev. Paul Scheyder officiating. Interment was in McHenry County Memorial Park Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were made by Honquest Family Funerals Inc., Woodstock.

Evelyn M. Trumble
Evelyn M. Trumble, 90, Woodstock, died Wednesday, March 3, 1999, at Hearthstone Manor, Woodstock.
Private burial was in Algonquin Cemetery.
