Larry Bradley Foley
Of Elwood, passed away Wednesday, August 1, 2001 after a courageous battle with cancer. Age 44 years.
Bradley was born May 19, 1957 in Monmouth, IL., the son of Durrill and Mary Lou Foley. He was raised and educated in Kankakee, IL and graduated from Kankakee Eastridge High School in 1975. While stationed in Hawaii with the United States Marine Corps, he attended Chaminade University. Currently employed with J & R Security in Joliet.
Survived by his loving mother, Mary Lou Foley of Joliet; his brother, Steve (Joyce) Foley of Naperville, IL; two nephews, Brent and Scott; a niece, Christina. Also survived by four cousins and his beloved cats.
Preceded in death by his father, Durrill Foley (Jan. 1999), his grandparents and an uncle.
According to Bradley's wishes, cremations rites were accorded. Memorial services will be held at the Carlson-Holmquist-Sayles Funeral Home, 2320 Black Rd., Tuesday, August 7, 2001 at 7:00 p.m. Rev. Frank Berman, Pastor of Ingalls Park United Methodist Church officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be appreciated. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until time of services.

Patricia Ann Goad
Late of Wilmington, IL., passed away Thursday, August 2, 2001 at Provena St. Joseph Medical Center in Joliet, IL. Age 40 years.
Graduate of St. Francis Academy in Joliet, Class of 1979,. Associated with Indicator Lights Corp., member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Wilmington, former C.C.D. teacher and Cub Scout Den Mother.
Survived by her loving husband, Dennis; two sons, Dennis Patrick of Texas and Joshua Michael of Wilmington; her mother, Mary (Robert) Gibson of Wilmington and her Father Warren Wright of New Mexico. Maternal grandmother Camellia Rose Friddle of Wilmington and paternal grandmother, Dorothy Kinsella of New Mexico; six sisters, Marilyn (Joseph) Vonch of Wilmington, Katherine Rasor of Braidwood, Kelly (Mark) Walgren of Wilmington, Elizabeth (Donald) Randolf of Dwight, Michelle Greenan of Wilmington and Jackie (Raymond) Murray of Wilmington. Also numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Preceded in death by her grandfather, William H. Friddle and stepfather, Dewey Greenan.
Visitation will be held Monday, August 6, 2001 from 5-8 p.m. at the Reeves Funeral Home in Wilmington.
Funeral services will then follow on Tuesday August 7, 2001 at 9:45 a.m. from the funeral home to St. Rose Catholic Church for a 10 a.m. Mass. Reverend Frank Vitus officiating.
Interment Mount Olivet Cemetery, Wilmington.

Inez Gougar
A memorial service for Inez Gougar (nee Blackert), 92, will be held on August 7, at 1:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, 302 N. Dunton, Arlington Heights, IL. born June 12, 1909 in Henry County, Village of Yorktown, IL, she died July 4, 2001 at the Abington Nursing Home, Glenview, IL, formerly of New Lenox, IL.
Inez started teaching in a one room school in Whiteside County in 1927. She completed her teaching degree and graduated from Illinois State University in 1935. She was teaching at Cherry Hill School in New Lenox when she retired in 1971. She was also very active in the local Farm Bureau Organization in the New Lenox/Joliet area.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Davis Gougar, whom she married in 1942; parents, Christian and Anna Blackert; two brothers, Herbert and Orval Blackert; and her sister, Bernice Etherton.
She is survived by her nephews and nieces which includes Richard (Joanne) Etherton of Arlington Heights, IL, Patricia (Bruce) Bain, Jim (Hope) Blackert, Mary Lou (Jim) Hinson, Debbie (John) Oldfield, all of Florida, as well as many great nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to Seasons Hospice, 1600 W. Dempster St., Park Ridged, IL 60068.

Walter A. Mueller, Jr. ''Wally''
Born: June 27, 1939. At rest August 2, 2001.
Survived by his loving and devoted wife of 39 years, Maureen (nee McGuckin). Five beloved children, Walt of Plainfield, Daniel of Oak Forest, Joseph, Mary Beth (Kenneth) Blaauw and Lauren (Brian) Baltz of Joliet. Two cherished grandchildren, Jacob and Madeline Blaauw. Dearest mother, Catherine (nee Lakota) Mueller, twelve brothers and sisters, Richard (Sandra), Gerald (Karen), Robert (Rosemary), Marilyn (Anthony) Granich, William (Kathleen), Catherine (Jack) Leetham, James (Nancy), Raymond (Susan), John (Janice), Judith (Jerry) Olson, Ronald (Carol) and Margaret (Todd) Doom. Three sisters-in-law, Mary (James) McAscy, Sr. Margaret McGuckin and Sr. Patricia McGuckin. One brother-in-law, Joseph (Theresa) McGuckin. His aunts, Godmother Helen (late Louis) Lakota, Angeline (late Raymond) Hren, Phyllis (Larry) Genzel, and Jean (late Bill) Whittaker. One uncle, James (late Margaret) Pitts, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Preceded in death by his loving father, Walter Mueller Sr.; dear father-in-law and mother-in-law, Joseph and Caroline (nee Culik) McGuckin Sr.; his grandparents; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Wally was an officer and proud member of Will County Carpenters Local #174. He was a skilled carpenter and cabinet maker, who was always willing to help his family and friends. Wally was a life-long member of St. Mary Nativity Parish.
In lieu of flowers, masses or memorials to the Joliet Area Community Hospice, to help continue the dedicated work of this organization, would be appreciated. The family would like to give a special thank you to Madeline.

Age 77. At rest August 3, 2001.
Preceded in death by his beloved wife of 50 years, Laverne nee Gunhouse; his parents, William and Carrie nee Knupp; sister, Inez Werner; brother, Dean Roberts; sisters-in-law, Eloise Roberts and Rita Sorensen; brothers-in-law, Fred Werner, Ray Walsh and Alvin Sorensen.
Loving father of Thomas (Mary), Jill (Donald) Smagacz, Robin (Robert) White and Karen (Frank) Redman; fond grandfather of Thomas (Jorie) Roberts, David Roberts, Andrea (Jeremiah) Kelly, Melanie and Megan Roberts, Jennifer (Michael) McFann, Gretchen and Jonathan Smagacz, Robert and Christopher White, Joshua, Emily and Michael Redman; proud great-grandfather of Stephanie and Heather McFann and Baby Roberts due January 2002; dear brother of Myrtle Walsh and Michael Roberts; dearest brother-in-law of Dr. Thomas (Betty) and Ramon (Lori) Gunhouse.
Born and raised in Mokena, Carrol was a lifelong Mokena resident. He served as a fireman on the Mokena Volunteer Fire Department and was Assistant Fire Chief from 1956-1959 and Fire Chief from 1959-1962. He worked at the M. Cooper Supply Co. in Orland Park from 1962 until retirement. He never lost his love of time spent with family and friends at the cottage on the river.

Nancy L. Will
Age 55, of Minooka passed away on August 2, 2001 at home of pancreatic cancer. She was born on April 17, 1946 to the late Edwin and Fern Madden of Yorkville.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Allen "Jim" Will, whom she married September 7, 1974; two daughters Robin (Wesley) Walker of Yorkville, Pamela (James) Bonini, their son and Nancy's only grandson, Justin of Minooka; her mother, Fern Madden of Yorkville; three brothers, Timothy (Sharon) Madden of Aurora, Elden (Linda) Madden of Plano, Kelly Madden of St. Petersburg, FL; and several nieces and nephews.
Nancy was preceded in death by her father, Edwin Madden and an infant sister, Sandra Elaine Madden.
A lifetime resident of Kendall County, Nancy attended all 12 years of school at Yorkville, graduating in 1964. She was active for many years in the Fox Valley Girl Scouts; having been a scout in her youth and a leader for ten years as an adult. She was a Special Education School bus driver for 19 years with the Yorkville and Plano School Districts. Nancy also had her own business, "Ceramics by Nanc" in her home since 1983. Her hobbies were: fishing, gardening, cake decorating, crocheting and an avid bowler. She was Secretary of the A.W.B.A. 500 Club for ten years and a member of the Aurora Women's Bowling Association for over 25 years.
Nancy has chosen to have her organs and body donated to science. There will be a memorial service held in Nancy's honor from 1:00 until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 11, 2001 at the Larson-Nelson Funeral Home, 410 E. Countryside Parkway in Yorkville, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations are asked to be made in Nancy's memory to the Salvation Army and Joliet Area Community Hospice.

Ernest B. Chance Jr. "Ernie"
Age 63. Wednesday, August 15, 2001 at Provena Saint Joseph Medical Center. born in Northern Illinois, educated in Crab Orchard, IL and a resident of Joliet since 1958. Retired from Caterpillar Inc. A U.S. Navy Veteran. Member of American Legion Post #1080 and the Joliet Elks Lodge #296. An avid golfer.
Survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Jewell (Nee Parton) Chance of Joliet. Two sisters, Vera (John) Imhoff of Ohio and Imogene Watson of California. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Preceded in death by his parents, Ernest Sr. and Lennie (Smith) Chance. One sister, Gwen Lucik.

Passed away at Silver Cross Hospital, following a lingering illness, Saturday, August 11, 2001.
Age 87 years.
Preceded in death by her husband Sgt. John Gonda (1944).
Survived by one niece Marjorie Affrunti of Joliet. One nephew Richard Smolack of Arlington, TX. Three great-nephews Tim Barrowman, Justin and Ryan Osborne. Two great-nieces Pam Barroman and Nancy Osborne.
