Mildred M. Kincaid
Age 86, of Decatur, IL, formerly of Danville and Joliet, died Sun. Jan. 7, 2001 at Pleasant Meadows Christian Village in Chrisman, ILL. She was born April 13, 1914 in Birmingham, England, the daughter of John T. Taylor and Minnie Lowe Taylor.
She married Edwin Barnett and later married James Kincaid, who died in 1972. She was employed as a surgical technician with St. Elizabeth Hospital in Danville, IL and St. Joseph Hospital, Joliet, Il, retiring in 1979.
Survivors include three daughters, Judith (William) Wallace of Tubac, AZ, Mickie (Kevin) Wilmot of Decatur and Jill Henady, of Hoopston; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; one great great grandchild and a half sister, Betty Brown of Cayuga, IN.
Preceded by one daughter, Barbara Strubinger.
Funeral services 2 p.m. Thurs., Jan. 11, 2001 at Joines Funeral Home, 401 W. Gillogly, Newman.
Burial Newman Cemetery, Newman, IL.
Visitation one hour before services.

Orlando Mares
Age 69, passed away January 8, 2001 in Lockport, IL.
A resident of the Romeoville/Lockport area for 30 years, formerly of Espanola, NM. Veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in U.S. Army. A diesel mechanic for Ruan Transport, giving many years of service.
Loving father of Juanita (Rob) Salerno, James (Laura) Mares, Roland Mares, and Lucia Mares; grandfather of Robbie and Amanda Salerno, Tanner and Gage Mares, Joshua and Samantha Taylor; brother of Saloman (Frances) Mares, Christina (Homer) Albrecht, and Carmen (the late Roland) Cook; uncle of many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Cipriano and Lucia Mares, and a brother, Ernest Mares.

Shirley C. Ortega nee Collins
Age 64, passed away January 8, 2001 at Meadowbrook Manor in Bolingbrook, IL, a resident of Romeoville since 1959, formerly of Chicago.
A cashier for the Valley View School District 356U, retiring in 1995, after many years of service.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ely Ortega; loving mother of Eric (Darlene) Ortega and Larry Ortega; sister of Robert Kenning; grandmother of Cyndi, Jason, Erica, Michael and Nick.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Edna Collins.
Family will receive friends at the Anderson Memorial Chapel, 606 Townhall Dr., in Romeoville, Wednesday, 2-8 p.m
Funeral Thursday, January 11, 2001, 10 a.m. at the funeral home chapel. Interment to follow Resurrection Cemetery in Romeoville.

Phyllis M. Rauworth
Age 80, died Sunday, January 7, 2001 at Four Corners Health Care Center in Durango, Colorado. Memorial Services may be held in Joliet, IL at a later date.
Mrs. Rauworth was born August 6, 1920 in Elwood, IL and was a life long resident of Joliet, IL area. She graduated from Joliet Central High School in 1938. She was a customer service manager for Sears & Roebuck for many years. Phyllis was a lover of sports playing golf and tennis and was an avid Cubs fan. She was a member of the Jesse Walker Methodist Church in Joliet, IL.
She is survived by a son, Stephen A. Rauworth of Durango, CO; two sisters, Shirley Zupancic of Shorewood, IL and Claire Foreman of Tucson, AZ; a brother Robert Steffes of Joliet, IL; two grandchildren, Bree Rauworth of Boulder, CO and Sy Rauworth of Durango, CO; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Charles in 1998.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Mercy, 3801 Main Ave., Durango, CO. 81301.

Survived by a sister Zoe; brother Zachary; maternal grandparents, Patsy and Billy Harris; paternal grandparents, Karen and Joe Voudrie; paternal great-grandparents, Liz and Andrew Cronholm.
Services 11 a.m., Friday, Jan. 12, 2001 at the Gooddale Memorial Chapel, 912 S. Hamilton St., with the Rev. Julie Ruth Harley officiating. Interment will be at Hills of Rest Cemetery.

Richard J. Crescenti "Rick"
Age 48. Passed away suddenly Thursday, January 8, 2004 at his home. born in Ottawa, IL on February 8, 1955 to the late Victor and Frances (nee Boggio) Crescenti, he was a long time Joliet resident and a former Wilmington resident. A graduate of Joliet Township High School (East Campus), Class of 1974. Employed with Exelon at Dresden Nuclear Power Station for 25 years. He was a classic "Tinkerer" always fixing something; and he also enjoyed and loved his dogs, Sophie and Jyme.
Beloved husband of Jean (nee Kucinic); loving father of Christopher Richard (Melisa Best) and Kevin J. (Angela) Crescenti; proud grandfather of Haley and Christopher Crescenti, and Carter Day; his grandmother, Lucille Kuempel; dear brother of Cathy (Larry) Bowman and Carol (Chuck) Anderson; fond stepfather of Janile (Lee) Day and Eric (Jennifer) Heintz; also survived by his Aunt Kay (Gerry) Smith; and cousin, Jacki Smith both of California; as well as several nieces and nephews; and his former wife, Debi.
Preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Vicki Tompkins; grandparents, Pasquale and Mary Crescenti and Frank Boggio; and his uncle, Louis Boggio.

Michael L. Daum
Age 56, of Brookfield Twp. died Wednesday, January 7, 2004 at his home.
He was born April 29, 1947 in Decatur to Theodore and Barbara (Davis) Daum. Worked for Caterpiller as a lab technician for 19 years and later worked as a truck driver retiring in 2002. He was an Aviation Mechanic in the U.S. Marines serving 1966 until 1970. He was stationed in Vietnam from September 1968 until October 1969. Member of American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars and Am Vets.
Survived by his wife, Cathleen; his father; three sons, Yancey (Kelly) Daum, FL, Scott (Ferrara) Daum, Aurora and Nicholas Baum of Home; daughter, Jessica Pare of FL; three grandchildren; one brother, Pat (Susan) Daum of Michigan.
Preceded in death by his mother.
There are no funeral services. Cremation took place. Memorials may be made to Veterans Administration.

Ray F. Drag Sr.
Age 70. Thursday, January 8, 2004 at Central DuPage Hospital. born in Peru, IL and a long time Chicago area resident, living in Minooka since 1988. A United States Navy veteran stationed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. As a young man, he worked in diesel repair becoming the owner/operator of Jimmy Diesel in LaGrange. A long time entrepreneur involved in many business ventures. An avid hunter, fisherman and golfer.
Surviving are three children, Donna (Jerry) Weller, Carrie (Doug) Thompson and Ray (Bridgett) Drag Jr.; and eight grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Clara Drag; and a sister, Collette in infancy.
All friends and relatives are invited to meet on Monday, January 12, 2004 at St. Mary Catholic Church, 303 St. Mary St., Minooka, IL for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 AM. Private interment. Wayne D. Erdmann
Age 59. Passed away January 9, 2004 at his residence surrounded by his loving family, born in Chicago, IL June 24, 1944.
Preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Helen Erdmann; two brothers, Robert and Raymond; three sisters, Edith Shaub, Ruth DeBlasio and Dorothy Alekvious.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 41 years, Barbara (nee Hull) Erdmann; five daughters, Julie (David) Szezepanik, Pamela (John) Brissa, Patricia (Michael) Saenz, JoAnne (Jesse) Saenz and Kristina (Larry Lillie) Erdmann; 11 grandchildren, Joseph, Raymond Szezepanik, Nichole (James) (nee Brissa) Cassem, Cheryl (Johnny) Brissa, Anthony and Justine Schanks, John and Mickey Saenz, Tyler Erdmann and Reese Lillie; a great grandchild, Gage Stamm; his brother, Alan Erdmann of Milwaukee, WI; mother-in-law, Florence Hull; and several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who loved spending every possible moment of his time with his family. In his spare time he loved fishing, camping and cooking meals for family and friends. Wayne will be truly missed by all friends and family. His spirit will be in our hearts forever! He is embraced in the loving arms of God whom we know through Jesus Christ.
Funeral Service Monday at Westwood Memorial Chapel, 3201 W. Jefferson St.. Interment Woodlawn Memorial Park. Visitation Sunday 4 to 8 PM.

Age 34, late of Manhattan, died January 7, 2004 at Loyola Foster G. McGaw Hospital.
Survived by her husband, Carl A. Fiocca Jr.; a son, Dominic Fiocca; her mother, Sandy (Jerry) Brazeal of Fort Myers, FL; and her father, Wayne (Liz) Ramsey of Michigan; her maternal grandmother, Mary Alice Guy of Indiana; a sister, Terri (Todd) DeTraglia of Oswego; a brother, Jeffrey (Heather) Ramsey of North Carolina; her parents-in-law, Carl and Julie (Deveny) Fiocca of Manhattan; three sisters-in-law, Cindy Fiocca of Manhattan, Alison (Steve) Darlinger of Manhattan and Jillian Fiocca of Elwood; nieces and nephews, Jami, Jeffrey Jr, Nicholas, Angelina, Anthony and Tyler.
